Wayne County man charged with three counts of child sexual exploitation, deputies say

A 27-year-old Wayne County man was arrested on Wednesday after he was accused of sexual exploiting of a minor.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Carlos Fabian Arriaga Ortega was charged with three felony counts of second-degree child sexual exploitation and one felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Deputies said they received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline regarding suspected child sexual abuse material.

After Wayne County deputies executed a search warrant at his home, they discovered that Arriaga Ortega had electronic material depicting child sexual exploitation.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security assisted in the case.

Arriaga Ortega is currently being held in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $101,000 bond.
