Waxhaw bank robbery suspect arrested
Waxhaw Police said the man accused of robbing the State Employees’ Credit Union on South Providence Road has been arrested.
The robbery call came in around 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect, Diamonte Williams, 30, passed a note demanding cash. He didn’t pull out a gun, police said.
Williams fled the scene and a search was immediately initiated by police. He was arrested without incident on Friday morning at a Charlotte business, police said.
There were no injuries.
He was booked into jail under a $5,000 bond.
