Video shows Florida officer save kitten from highway

A kitten lying in the middle of US-441 was rescued by an Alachua police officer last week. Body camera video shows the officer walking toward the kitten while cars continue to drive past the ball of fur just feet away. The Alachua Police Department on its Facebook page said a truck driver stopped to help block traffic during the rescue. “We’re thrilled to share that this little furball has found a loving forever home with one of our amazing dispatchers,” the post reads.
