(FOX40.COM) — A vehicle with a man’s body inside was pulled from the Sacramento River on Sunday morning, a Sacramento County Regional Parks spokesperson said to FOX40.com.

The finding came after a boat reported hitting something in the water near the Discovery Park Boat Launch, which is just north of where the Sacramento and American rivers meet.

The boat was damaged and docked at the boat launch and later caught fire on the morning of May 30.

On Sunday morning, parks officials asked for help from Sacramento Police’s marine team to help recover the vehicle.

When the vehicle was retrieved, officials discovered the man’s body inside.

No details were provided about the man or the vehicle’s origins.
