TAMPA, Fla. — The University of South Florida football program is mourning the loss of one of its players.

The team announced Tuesday that player Teigan Martin was killed in an auto crash in Minnesota Monday morning. He was 20 years old.

Martin, who did not see action for the Bulls in 2023, was listed as a freshman tight end on the USF roster.

According to the Carver County (Minn) Sheriff’s Office, Martin was killed in a single vehicle crash when the 2013 BMW he was driving crossed over the road, went into a ditch and then rolled over.

He was from Mayer, Minnesota.

The crash remains under investigation.
