(Update) Bilt 5x Points Welcome Promo Details

Update 2/13/26: People were having issues with the 5x promo not working. Yesterday, they sent out an email ([email protected]) that affected users should file a claim about the missing 5x promo and, if eligible after review, they’ll have the option of getting a new 5x promo that begins on February 20th or getting retroactively applied 5x points for the initial February 7th-12th promo period. The emails just went out confirming the 5x TPG bonus on the new Bilt cards. Many people are reporting getting Bilt 5x promo email even though they didn’t sign up via the TPG link.

My guess is that Bilt decided to just honor it for everyone. YMMV, check your email for confirmation. We mentioned this briefly in a post a few moments ago, but I think it’s worth highlighting so no one misses this special bonus.

Update: Numerous people got an email with a small 500 points bonus when using a mobile wallet. Some people got that in addition to the 5x everywhere promo and some people are only seeing the mobile wallet promo. It appears that not everyone is getting the 5x everywhere promo. I wonder if everyone who signed up before noon ET on January 15th (even those who did not use the TPG link) are getting the 5x offer, and those who signed up afterward are getting the mobile wallet offer. I don’t know, YMMV. 

To recap the promo details (pdf), as I understand them:

• Applies to all three Bilt cards, and might apply to all users (check for email, see above). 
• Begins on February 7th at midnight ET.
• Five days would end on February 11th, but the PDF shows an end date of February 12, 2026 (11:59 p.m. PT). So apparently they’re adding a day.
• Get 5x points per dollar spent anywhere. Regular exclusions apply, so don’t try tax payments or the like.
• Max it out with $10,000 in spend and get 50,000 points. It shouldn’t matter which Bilt card you have or where you spend – it’s just a flat 5x everywhere. 
• Important, per TPG: “Does point accelerator stack while earning a welcome bonus? If you redeem your Bilt Cash for the point accelerator option, it will count toward the spending you do while pursuing your welcome bonus. However, it will not be stackable with TPG’s offer. If a cardholder has both TPG’s offer and point accelerator activated, they will earn the 5 points per dollar spent from TPG’s bonus, as it’s higher.”
