The past week of campus crime saw incidents ranging from alcohol-related arrests during a football game to narcotics offenses and a disturbance on campus. 

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department arrested two students on Saturday during Nebraska football’s home opener against Northern Illinois.

Sergeant Joshua Rubottom said one of the students, who police found on the ground at the game, had a blood alcohol content of .221. The other had a BAC of .084 and was found vomiting in the stadium bathroom.

Police transported both students to the station for processing and arrested the individuals.

“The football game was pretty busy. We were non-stop, it wasn’t fun,” Rubottom said.

There were three other alcohol-related incidents over the past week. UNLPD responded to a call from a student who found their roommate in a highly-intoxicated state last Friday. Rubottom said this was a Good-Samaritan situation and no citations were given. Medical arrived on the scene and transported the student to the hospital, according to Rubottom.

University Police responded to a second incident on Friday, involving a large group of students in Harper Hall returning from an off-campus party.
