The U.S. Transportation Security Administration has reduced its PreCheck enrollment and in-person renewal fee to $78 from $85, the agency announced Friday. The cost to renew online remains $70.
If approved, applicants receive a five-year membership in the program, which provides a Known Traveler Number and the ability to move through airport screenings more efficiently as they can leave on shoes, jackets and belts.
There are over 500 TSA PreCheck enrollment centers nationwide, according to TSA. The current enrollment provider is Idemia.
