Transient fire spreads into Portland apartment building

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A transient camp fire in Southeast Portland that spread into a 3-story apartment building displaced the residents of all six units, Portland Fire & Rescue told KOIN 6 News.

The fire in the 10000 block of SE Division was reported shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday. The fire started outside the building and spread into the attic space of the building, officials said.

No injuries were reported. The Red Cross is working with those people who are now without a place to stay.
