Everyone has been talking about Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce in the past few weeks. Part of it has been that the split didn’t just see them go their separate ways, but that rumors immediately started flying about Urban having already moved on. That’s bound to get people interested. But now, other reports are coming out about the split, and they’re not really making Urban look good.
The National Enquirer reports that Urban has been flirting with women on the Nashville music scene for years. “There’s no sugarcoating the fact that Keith’s behaved like a total jerk. He’s treated Nicole like dirt at a time when she was most vulnerable,” an insider said. To make matters worse, the outlet says that after Kidman lost her mom and when she was most vulnerable, instead of providing support, Urban had already checked out.

Sources also say Kidman was convinced that lyrics from Urban songs, like “Love Is Hard”, which says, “It hurts when we fight … Callin’ names and slammin’ doors — and keeping secrets” were his way of calling out their disagreements. Reportedly, Kidman was very upset by the video of Urban changing the lyrics to the song “The Fighter,” which was originally written or her, to include guitarist Maggie Baugh.
“It goes without saying that Nicole is devastated and humiliated,” a source said. “It seemed incomprehensible to her that the love of her life would be capable of such cruelty.” Not just that, reports indicate, “Nicole’s ego has taken a massive blow. The news about Maggie sent her over the edge and she’s now braced for more revelations about Keith’s sleazy behavior, even as she was trying to save the marriage.”
This comes a recent interview with Urban sees him discussing the “relationship sacrifices” you make in the industry, especially with him as a traveling musician. However, the reports surrounding his divorce from Kidman, who he married in 2006, have mostly painted him as the one in the wrong.
Not just that, reports indicate he’s already moved on. He moved out of the house he and Kidman shared with their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, and he’s reportedly seeing someone else. “The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business,” a “Nashville music industry source told Daily Mail. “It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.”
Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop claimed that Kidman was trying to save the marriage in their last days together, but Urban wasn’t on the same page. “Nicole wanted to fight for them, but Keith had already checked out—and she knew why. It wasn’t about distance, schedules, or bad habits. It was about another woman. And Nicole knows who she is,” the columnist reported. Another insider added, “She’s not naïve. She heard the stories; she saw the signs. At some point, the truth becomes impossible to ignore. She’s not going to live as anyone’s second choice.”
That explains what people are saying about him, at least.
