SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Another storm is heading to the Bay Area this week. According to ABC7 News Meteorologist Drew Tuma, the storm arrives Wednesday evening, and it will become a Level 2 storm on Thursday.

Here’s what to expect
- Showers will arrive first in the North Bay after sunset Wednesday evening
- Early Thursday morning, rain will spread across the rest of the Bay Area which could be briefly heavy at times
- Worst rain and wind will occur Thursday morning between 1 a.m. – 8 a.m. Will be a level 2 on the Storm Impact Scale
- Expecting a slower commute Thursday morning as standing water could lead to spinouts
- Gusty winds Thursday morning could also bring down trees and lead to isolated power outages
- Winds will gust 30 to 50 mph with highest speeds along the coast; downed trees/power outage possible
- Rainfall totals for most will range from .50″ to 1.5″ leading to standing water, spinouts for morning commute
- Worst rain and wind will exit by 8 a.m. Thursday leading to scattered, lighter showers into Thursday evening
- The Sierra will see 4 to 8 feet of snow above 5,000′ with wind gusts up to 50 mph. Travel could be very difficult
