TikToker Caleb Coffee hospitalized after falling into lava rock

TikTok star Caleb Coffee suffered serious injuries and burns after falling from a cliff in Hawaii onto red hot lava rocks, his family confirmed Thursday.

On Wednesday, the 18-year-old was airlifted to the hospital where he currently remains, suffering from a fractured spine, numerous broken bones and burns across his entire body.

“The medics and everyone is telling us he’s lucky to be alive and is one of the strongest out there,” his family wrote in a GoFundMe they created to help cover his medical bills.

The page says Coffee does not have health insurance and is attempting to raise $100K from donations.

Coffee was reportedly hiking with friends when he slipped and fell about 80 feet onto lava rocks below. In addition to the spinal fracture and burns, Coffee is said to also have suffered a broken femur, elbow and wrist.

Images posted on the GoFundMe show Coffee lying in the hospital bed covered in tubes and casts. His family says he’s in “excruciating pain” and they don’t yet know the full extent of his injuries,

Coffee gained a significant following on TikTok with his short comedic and fitness content, often posting videos of him weightlifting. He currently has over 11 million followers on TikTok and 1 million on Instagram.
