It’s always been wild to me how long we’ve held on to the age-old idea of no longer wearing white after Labor Day. To see this rule fall by the wayside as of late has been a much-welcome change. One trending piece, in particular, is the perfect example of this: white maxi skirts. All summer, there hasn’t been a day I didn’t scroll past some iteration of the style while on Instagram—It’s clear the fashion crowd will continue wearing these skirts straight into fall.
With the help of warmer layers (sweaters, jackets, etc.) and fall-ready shoe styles (sneakers, boots, etc.), a long white skirt can easily become a chic transitional piece.
