The planes are coming! Cleveland National Air Show flies in this weekend

CLEVELAND (WJW) — The roaring overhead has begun! Yes, the Cleveland National Air Show returned to Burke Lakefront Airport beginning Saturday.

In case you didn’t see or hear, the Thunderbirds are in town! The planes arrived at Burke Lakefront Airport ahead of the Cleveland National Air Show on Thursday, before the show kicked off on Saturday morning.

For those who want to see the aerial stunts up close and personal during the event, gates open at 9 a.m. Saturday through Monday. Also performing at the air show are the U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet and the Red Bull Air Force helicopter.

When not taking in the sights above, revelers can look at aircraft displays on the ground. There are also kid-friendly activities.

Tickets and on-site parking must be purchased online prior to the event. There are not going to be any ticket sales at the gate.

DAILY COST: $40 for adults, $20 for kids 6-11 and free for kids under 6
FLYING EXPECTED: 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., but no entry after 3 p.m.
PARKING COSTS: $35, plus fees, no trailers or RVs allowed
