‘The Hunting Wives’ is casting extras for Charlotte filming. How to apply

If you’re a fan of “The Hunting Wives” on Netflix and possess a certain expressive talent on the dance floor, you’re in luck.

The show, adapted from May Cobb’s best-selling novel, kicked off its first season after filming around Charlotte, with locations near Lake Norman standing in for the fictional Texas town of Maple Brook, CharlotteFive reported.

Now, producers are looking for extras — including young adult “partiers” and “twerkers” — to be featured in the hit series, according to a Facebook post from the show’s casting director.

Merriam-Webster defines twerking as “sexually suggestive dancing characterized by rapid, repeated hip thrusts and shaking of the buttocks especially while squatting.”

Here’s what you need to know.

A group of five friends stand in a grassy field, each holding a shotgun. They are all dressed in a mix of hunting and fashionable attire, including boots, jackets, and short skirts. From left to right: one wears a red dress and white jacket; another is in a denim jacket and floral dress; a third is in a black top and jacket; a fourth in a tan jacket and a patterned skirt; and a woman in a pink top and brown jacket. The background is a rural landscape with trees and a cloudy sky
