Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s initially amicable divorce has taken an unpleasant turn.
TMZ acquired documents in which Taylor accuses Shumpert of inadequate parenting, asserting that he neglects to feed their children during his care while also exposing them to marijuana.
Taylor claims the former NBA player “consistently demonstrates a clear disregard for the safety of their minor children.”
In court documents, Taylor cited a specific incident where he allegedly had their kids dropped off unaccompanied at the United Center in a ride-share while he took a private driver separately to the same place.
Teyana Taylor filed for divorce in January 2023, months ahead of the public announcement of their separation in September.
At this time, she is requesting primary custody, joint legal custody, and child support for their children.
Taylor is accusing Shumpert of “treating her cruelly and displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage.”
According to TMZ, he countered Taylor’s claims, asserting a lack of evidence. He is seeking to change the divorce reason to an “irretrievable broken bond.”
