The Travel and Meeting Society has brought in veteran travel consultant Mark Williams as its executive director, a new position in the budding business travel professional organization.

Williams has worked in the travel industry for more than 30 years, including as a founding partner of Goldspring Consulting and with Nina & Pinta and Advito, as well as with PwC as director of travel. Currently, he is CFO of corporate-travel-focused marketing agency OnWrd & UpWrd, which last year merged with the agency he co-founded, Dots & Lines. Williams also is no stranger to leading trade organizations, having served as president of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives.

Williams’ leadership will help TAMS “open a new chapter of growth,” according to TAMS chairperson Jennifer Steinke. The group, which started in 2020 as a community group for travel and meeting professionals in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, has grown into a professional membership program and boosted its roster with its first membership drive last October, the organization said.
