  • Zara Tindall’s uncanny tribute to Princess Diana in new modelling shoot

    [ad_1]

Zara Tindall is widely regarded as a royal style icon. Alongside her outfits that regularly land her on the best-dressed lists, the daughter of Princess Anne has also enjoyed a foray into the modelling industry. She is frequently chosen to be the face of a plethora of high-end fashion brands thanks to her timeless style and flair for fashion.

Jewellery brand Calleija has just announced its collaboration with the royal, posting an exquisite photo shoot of Zara wearing an array of pieces from the eponymous ‘Zara Tindall Collection’. Posting on Instagram, the brand penned in the caption: “Zara Tindall Collection by Calleija. Where timeless design meets modern sophistication.”

In the video, Zara can be seen artfully posing and looking as gorgeous as ever, wearing a crisp white shirt, with just her gold jewellery on show. Boasting expertly applied natural makeup and a joyous demeanour, Zara looks so beautiful in the frames.

Zara’s ‘timeless’ look was reminiscent of the late Princess Diana’s iconic style

The look was reminiscent of one that the late Princess Diana often stepped out in. Her signature style in the 90s often consisted of a classic white shirt, which she paired with gold jewellery (notably statement earrings, just like Zara’s) and stonewash jeans.

This particular look was so prolific that she even wore it when she appeared in Vogue in 1994, shot by Patrick Demarchelier. One picture in the publication’s spread saw the former wife of King Charles expertly posing in black trousers and a simple white shirt, with her legs crossed.

Why is a white shirt so stylish?

The white shirt is widely considered a wardrobe staple as it offers an instant, polished and grown-up demeanour, not to mention the fact that a flash of white around the neck can give the illusion of a brighter complexion. A white shirt also offers versatility; it can be worn with a myriad of separates.

    Who is Zara’s stylist?

This shoot may have been put together by Zara’s stylist, Annie Miall. The Australian-born professional is widely considered to have totally transformed Zara’s wardrobe since she started curating her look in 2020. The royal’s fashion stance has evolved from classic-led to far more daring and colour-coded over the years, and she now wears a variety of stunning getups, dreamed up by Annie.

Zara is regularly dressed in the finest labels, selected by the talented professional, from UK-based labels Laura Green, Fairfax & Favor and ME+EM, to firm royal favourites such as Emilia Wickstead and Zimmermann. Annie documents many of Zara’s outfit details on her own Instagram feed, which she made public five years ago and has been mesmerising royal fashion fans ever since with her ensembles.

  • Zara Tindall is the image of mum Princess Anne – wearing the barn jacket of 2025

    [ad_1]

Zara Tindall is the queen of Cotswold heritage chic, with her equestrian wardrobe; the wife of former international rugby player Mike Tindall is the poster girl for tweed, tartan, and all super-smart outdoor attire. The mother-of-three only proved this further on Friday afternoon, as she was pictured at the Cornbury House Horse Trials at Cornbury Park, alongside her royal relative, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. Zara, 43, was pictured rocking this season’s must-have coat – the barn jacket, which came from one of the brands she is affiliated with, Fairfax and Favor. Zara Tindall looked in full countryside mode,  in the wax jacket, which was of the mocha brown variety. Keeping in with autumnal tones, she added a coffee-coloured knit, blue jeans, and pistachio-coloured wellington boots. Stunning!

The durable barn jacket may seem like it’s a new item, but the classic style has actually been around for years.  It’s often made from wax and has large pockets and a slightly oversized, boxy cut. Originally designed for outdoor workers, it has now become pretty mainstream, appearing on the Prada runway and worn by a host of celebrities at Glastonbury.

Zara’s mother, Princess Anne, actually wore the style before her blonde daughter, noticeably back in 2001.

She, too, styled it with a knitted creation, but she added sunglasses and also rocked a neck scarf. What a pair of style twins!

  • Mike Tindall reveals the surprising way he addresses Princess Anne behind closed doors

Mike Tindall reveals the surprising way he addresses Princess Anne behind closed doors

    [ad_1]

Mike Tindall has revealed the surprising way he addresses his mother-in-law, Princess Anne. The former professional rugby player is married to the royal’s daughter, Zara Tindall, and while most husbands may refer to their mothers-in-law by their first name, Mike likes to keep his relationship with Anne formal.

The 46-year-old appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Monday with fellow former rugby pro James Haskell to chat about their podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, which has previously featured Princess Anne and the Prince and Princess of Wales as guests.

“They were amazing,” Mike said of his in-laws before explaining why he wanted to bring them onto the podcast. “Rugby has been going through a tough time and we wanted to showcase why it brings people together from all backgrounds, it’s such an inclusive sport, but it also creates great human beings,” he said. “It was more important to showcase why they like sport, why Princess Anne has been a patron of [the Scottish Rugby Union] for 37 years and why she loves the characters in the game.

Mike revealed he calls Princess Anne “Mam”

“It accepts all fans and they come from all sides,” he added.

When asked by host Susanna Reid what he calls his mother-in-law, Mike responded: “Mam.”

It’s no secret that Mike has a close relationship with his in-laws. The rugby star previously credited the royal family, particularly the late Queen Elizabeth II, for making him feel so welcome after marrying Zara in 2011.

“I can only say how kind they’ve been to me, and how welcoming they’ve been to me since joining the family. And how they’ve made my family welcome,” he told The Telegraph in 2021. “I’ve always felt part of it and I think that’s down to what an amazing woman the Queen is.

“They’re a fantastic family,” added Mike, who shares three children, Mia, ten, Lena, five, and Lucas, three, with Zara.

The dad-of-three also shared an insight into his relationship with Princess Kate during a previous episode of his podcast. When asked about her rugby skills following the Princess’s training session at Twickenham Stadium back in 2022, Mike revealed that he wanted to find out how well Kate had played so he could tease her on the family WhatsApp group.

“I texted Ellis [Genge] and said, ‘Mate, please tell me anything she messed up on’ so I could sort of… family WhatsApp group, get to her, and he said, ‘No she was actually pretty good, and she was really good at kicking,’ and I was like [sighs]. But she has this competitive nature,” Mike said.

Mia Tindall just stole mother Zara’s cool-girl £60 bag for outing with dad Mike

Mia Tindall has perfected the art of dressing down with flair thanks to her mother Zara Tindall.

The 10-year-old looked effortless as she joined her dad Mike at Betfred British Masters on 28 August in a white oversized T-shirt and cream shorts. She carried her essentials in a £63 cross-body bag known as the ‘Branded Camera Bag’ in a neutral oyster hue from Country Road – a brand loved by Zara.

Princess Anne’s daughter was spotted carrying big bags full of products from the affordable retailer during her trip to the luxury Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast in Australia in January 2024.

Zara and Mike had been visiting for the Magic Millions, but the former Olympic equestrian found a quiet moment in her schedule to browse around clothing stores such as Country Road, Seed and Sportsgirl.

She may have picked out the crossbody bag for herself – although she hasn’t been pictured wearing it – or as a gift for her daughter during that trip.

Mia’s dark blonde hair had been styled straight and pulled back into a low ponytail, while her father looked relaxed in a blue polo shirt, white trousers and matching gloves.

The family – including Mia’s younger siblings Lena and Lucas – are often pictured showcasing their casual wardrobes at sporting events.

For example, Mia recently wore blue Adidas trainers at the Hartpury International Horse Trials in July, while her younger brother rocked a cute £35 leaf print waterproof puddlesuit by Toastie at the Magic Millions Festival of British Eventing in August.

Zara Tindall’s stylist commented on her confident fashion choices

“There really is something very special about Zara, which sets her apart – she’s a natural beauty,” she said, adding: “She’s very confident in her style.”

Analysing her fashion choices, the stylist continued: “She loves clean lines, she styles things really beautifully, she’s not a trendsetter and she’s not trying to be a fashion icon, she’s just really polished and beautifully dressed.”

  • Princess Eugenie reminisces about ‘favourite memories’ with Princess Beatrice throwback

Princess Eugenie reminisces about ‘favourite memories’ with Princess Beatrice throwback

    [ad_1]

Princess Eugenie recalled one of her favourite memories from the London 2012 Olympics, as she paid tribute to the current crop of athletes at the Paris 2024 Games

The royal, 34, uploaded a series of throwback snaps showing her and sister, Princess Beatrice, cheering on Team GB at various events, including a very personal one.

“The Olympics is one of the best things in our world,” Eugenie wrote. “It’s such a special time watching superhuman athletes represent their countries, bringing people together and inspiring generations.

“Some of my most favourite memories from 2012 was being on the sidelines cheering on our heroes. Not to mention, the best moment of all, watching my family win silver in eventing, goooo Z!”

“Z” refers to Eugenie’s cousin, Zara Tindall, who won a silver medal as part of Team GB’s eventing team at the London 2012 Olympics.

Eugenie, Beatrice and their other cousins, Prince William and his wife, Kate, Prince Harry and Peter Phillips were among the spectators cheering on Zara at the event in Greenwich Park.

Photographs from the time show the British royals waving, clapping and cheering as Zara was presented by her mother and fellow Olympian, Princess Anne.

The late Queen Elizabeth II surprised even her family members when she took part in a James Bond sketch during the London 2012 Olympics, which saw her joined by Daniel Craig at Buckingham Palace before ‘skydiving’ into the Olympic Stadium into her seat.

Referring to that iconic moment Eugenie told Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast last year: “Nobody knew… it was amazing. We were all surprised.”

Just weeks before the London Games, Eugenie, then 22, graduated from Newcastle University with a 2:1 in English literature and history of art.

Since then, she’s become a director at art gallery, Hauser & Wirth, and married her long-term love, Jack Brooksbank, in 2018.

The couple became parents with the birth of son August in February 2021, followed by second son, Ernest in May 2023.

  • King Charles’ Niece Broke Royal Protocol While Visiting Him Amid Cancer Battle

King Charles’ Niece Broke Royal Protocol While Visiting Him Amid Cancer Battle

    [ad_1]

Nearly three months after the monarch announced his cancer diagnosis, Zara Tindall and King Charles finally had the chance to reunite at a recent royal outing. The pair greeted each other with a hug—and it turns out that the king’s niece broke a pretty major royal practice in the process.

The 42-year-old couldn’t help but gush when she saw her uncle at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in Berkshire, England, on Friday, May 3. She pulled the 75-year-old monarch into a big hug, with sources telling Us Weekly that they overheard her exclaiming, “Ah, Uncle Charles,” as they embraced. But in doing so, Tindall happened to break royal protocol.

While the royal family’s website claims there are “no obligatory codes of behaviour,” around greeting a monarch, royal protocol in the United Kingdom is built on many longstanding traditions and expectations around how people should interact with the king. Apparently, hugging the monarch can break these protocols for several reasons.

For starters, interactions with the monarch are usually meant to remain formal. Considering that hugs are a pretty casual form of physical contact, it could definitely be seen as too familiar and not in line with the usual sense of respect that comes with royal encounters. In addition, security concerns play a role in these protocols, and limiting physical contact is usually one way to ensure the monarch’s safety.

We’re assuming Tindall gets a pass on this front, given that she’s a member of the royal family herself. However, there is also the understanding that people aren’t meant to initiate physical contact with the monarch unless the monarch takes the lead. In this instance, Us Weekly reports that King Charles looked somewhat “surprised” when his niece went in for the hug. The outlet also revealed that those without royal titles are usually expected to avoid physical contact with the monarch altogether.

While Tindall is a member of the royal family, she doesn’t have any royal titles of her own. Her mother, Princess Anne (who is King Charles’ only sister) declined an offer of royal HRH titles for her children when they were born. The decision was made to allow Zara and her brother, Peter Phillips, a more private life without the pressures and obligations typically associated with royal titles. Ultimately, this did allow Zara to pursue a more flexible career and lifestyle—she is an accomplished equestrian and Olympic silver medalist in her own right, and continues to live a more low-profile life compared to other members of the royal family.

Given her innocent slip up, we’re going to go ahead and assume that King Charles can forgive his niece—if there’s anything to forgive, that is! After all, Tindall’s hug comes amid His Majesty’s ongoing cancer battle. Her encounter with the monarch also marked the first time seeing him in public since Buckingham Palace announced in February 2024 that he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer. The king’s outing at the royal horse show was one of three recent engagements he attended since returning to his royal duties at the end of April 2024, following a short break as he received treatment for his condition.
