Everything from the early 2000s is making a comeback, including Sanrio and Yu-Gi-Oh, in the form of McDonald’s Happy Meals. Who would’ve thought Sanrio characters dressed as Yu-Gi-Oh monsters would still look absolutely cute?
I didn’t expect the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card to ever look cute, but Cinnamoroll can make anything look adorable. But several of Hello Kitty’s friends will be making even the creepiest monster cards look cute in this collaboration. Even the Forbidden One looks as squishable as Pompompurin.
These ten Sanrio x Yu-Gi-Oh Happy Meals will be made available in 55 different countries. This collaboration is expected to hit the US on August 20, 2024.

Everybody’s been raving about how cute Hello Kitty and Friends are in this collaboration, but nobody’s been talking about what these toys exactly are. These little collectibles are small plushies you can bring around with you. They don’t come with hooks, so you can put them in pockets or hang them on your bag with a clear case.
The only crime this collaboration committed is that Gudetama is absent from this lineup. Sanrio missed the golden opportunity to dress Gudetama, everyone’s favorite lazy egg, as a Yu-Gi-Oh Monster Egg. For that reason, I’ll have to pass on this collab.

Devoted fans seem to preach that to get the best experience from Inscryption, players should head into the game as blind as possible, so we’ll leave the information at that.
Magic: The Gathering Arena

If you’re a fan of the Magic: The Gathering Trading Card game, then Magic: The Gathering Arena may be the perfect digital card game for you, as this form of the game enables you to play for free against your friends without the need for digging out your physical cards.

Players will be able to collect cards featuring elements and characters from the world of Runeterra, known through the MOBA game, League of Legends, and the animated series, Arcane.
Players can choose to embark on solo adventures by facing off against AI or turn to battle others in PvP matches. LoR is fairly well-balanced and surprisingly generous to players who want an entirely free-to-play experience, in comparison to other titles that may favor paid ‘meta’ cards or decks.
Many players have shared that within a year of playing without spending a single cent, they have gained access to any card that they want, which creates feelings that the time you invest in the game is very rewarding. If you’re looking for a card game referencing a very unique and lovable universe that also carries some of the most fair monetization on the market, Legends of Runeterra is worth a shot.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a free-to-play card game revolving around the beloved Elder Scrolls franchise. Unfortunately, there’s both good news and bad news when it comes to considering this title for your next card-battling game go-to. We’ll break the bad news first: The Elder Scrolls: Legends has unfortunately not received any updates in around 2 years, with much of the playerbase accepting that the game has pretty much been abandoned and left in the dust.
However, the good news is that it is still one hundred percent playable, and people still have nothing bad to say about the game — other than they wish it would receive a revival of sorts. This was reason enough to make it in as the final entry of the list, as seeing people talk so passionately about a game that isn’t necessarily receiving the attention it once had is quite a rare thing.
Going off recommendations from players who have put hundreds of hours into the title, you’re likely to still have an absolute blast picking this one up — just be warned: dedicated fans have stated that although the game is thoroughly enjoyable, the lack of attention from devs means that it is not worth forking out on microtransactions to give yourself a head start or advantage.

– Next week, Beckett Collectibles will partner with eBay and Collectable to auction the world’s rarest Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card—the ultra-rare, 1-of-1 “Tyler the Great Warrior” card.
At age 14, Tyler Gressle was stricken with a rare liver cancer and contacted the Make-A-Wish Foundation with a request: He wanted to personally create a card for Yu-Gi-Oh!, the Japanese trading card game he loved. An avid drawer and Yu-Gi-Oh! player, this idea united two of his passions, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation saw merit in the concept and contacted Yu-Gi-Oh! and its creators.
The Gressle family was eventually connected with the company behind Yu-Gi-Oh!. Gressle designed the first draft of the card himself, and the late, celebrated Kazuki Takahashi took Gressle’s designs and turned it into an official Yu-Gi-Oh! card. Takahashi chose the name— “Tyler the Great Warrior,” and the concept went straight from printing to slab, with no human hands handling the finished card during production.
“Over the past 20 years of my involvement in trading card games (TCG), I have had the opportunity to see an abundance of rare and obscure cards,” said Ian Mcdaries, Beckett’s lead TCG verifier. “From world-famous cards such as the Pikachu Illustrator to the prestigious BGS 10 Alpha Black Lotus, ‘Tyler the Great Warrior’ represents the pinnacle of my TCG career. As someone who has collected and played Yu-Gi-Oh! since its genesis back in 2002, having the opportunity to be a part of Tyler’s journey was a real privilege.”
Since its printing, the card acquired a lore of its own, with collectors debating its existence. Today, it is the rarest Yu-Gi-Oh! Card in history. Gressle approached Beckett Collectibles to grade the card, and after two decades, “Tyler the Great Warrior” will pass to its next owner. The auction can be viewed here.
