A CMS coach accused of shooting into a Charlotte property was arrested in South Carolina on Wednesday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Dia’Mond Johnson, 27, was charged with two counts of shooting into an occupied property, a CMPD press release said.

Johnson was arrested by deputy sheriffs with assistance from Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, according to Deputy Trent Faris of the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Johnson is a non-faculty member coach, CMPD said. The shooting did not involve any students, staff or Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools property, CMPD said.

CMS could not be immediately reached for comment on Johnson’s employment status.
