    4 Of Our Favorite Rap Verses Served By AB6IX’s WOOJIN

    You know by now how much we love AB6IX‘s music in this household. The boys keep giving us new things without losing their distinctive color and charm. The whole flow of their songs is so well thought out that no matter how many times we listen to them, we are still in awe. And it is a fact that AB6IX songs are simply not complete without their talented rapper, WOOJIN. He jumps in just at the right moments, riding the musical stream flawlessly. So, to celebrate him and his outstanding skills, we picked some of our favorite tracks that showcase his rapping prowess.

    ‘CHERRY’

    We’re starting with a cute heartthrob musical piece. It just so happens that WOOJIN’s parts in ‘CHERRY’ are some of our favorite ones. A fun track like this one deserves only the best, and he knows how to fit his rap to match every song and genre perfectly. The choice to put WOOJIN’s rap at the bridge makes for an even more iconic experience. Dare we say it is the highlight? That whole part in particular stands out in our minds, and we look forward to it every time we listen to AB6IX’s ‘CHERRY.’

    ‘SAVIOR’

    Another title track that’s high on our favorites list has to be ‘SAVIOR’ for many reasons. One of them? You guessed it, it’s WOOJIN’s rap. The verses are spread out in the song, allowing him to take over at just the right times, for just the right time. Moreover, his parts are confident and match the strong vibe of ‘SAVIOR.’ We simply love the whole flow of this track and how it leads us to and from the rap verses.

    ‘MIRROR’

    We just had to sneak in a B-side from AB6IX on this list. Considering just how striking and versatile their whole discography is, how could we not highlight it as much as possible? ‘MIRROR’ is a powerful and upbeat piece that keeps us hooked throughout the entire song. It feels like the track takes a very small pause right before WOOJIN’s rap verse as if to tell us: “Prepare yourselves,” and we get why. His part has us seated and immersed while he takes the spotlight and makes it his own for those couple of seconds. And we’re left wanting to replay it. In fact, we’ll just replay the whole song for full appreciation.

    ‘Top Tier (Rock Ver.)’

    Of course, we can’t miss out on mentioning WOOJIN‘s solo songs as well. They further focus on and highlight his talents, all the while showing a different side and style of his. We already knew WOOJIN could dominate the stage, but ‘Top Tier‘ (regardless of which version) emphasizes that skill even more. Just like the lyrics point out, he’s truly a top tier, “from head to toe and everything in between.“

    AB6IX’s WOOJIN has concurred our hearts with his rapping style, and we have absolutely no complaints. If this list wasn’t enough, don’t worry: we came prepared. If you want to get fully absorbed in his style, we recommend you check all of his solo pieces, such as the magnetic ‘COLOR EYE’ or his EP oWn. He also leaves an impactful impression on plenty of B-sides like ‘WHISTLE,’ ‘Butterfly Effect,’ and ‘Hurt Me.’ And, of course, we can’t miss out on mentioning his rap during title tracks like ‘GRAB ME‘ and ‘NVKED.’

    AB6IX’s Special EP Find YOU Is All We’ve Been Waiting For This Summer

    As soon as we heard these solo songs a few months ago, we begged for them to get an official release. And AB6IX heard us. The boys gave us the most special present this summer, their new EP Find YOU. But wait! Not only did we get their solo tracks that made it to the stage at the beginning of their fan concerts, Find YOU. We also received the performance versions of said songs, and we’re buzzing.

    With four unique members, each with their own style, it is only natural that Find YOU‘s solo pieces also have their own distinctive colors, as well. We love watching AB6IX dominate those stages as individuals as much as we love seeing them perform together. And, this special EP, without fail, allows the members to shine their solo talents and charms.

    JEON WOONG — ‘Just do it!’

    Our energetic and smiley WOONG definitely hit it with this solo track. ‘Just do it!’ matches his bright and lively persona and is sure to hype you up. Need an energizer or a motivational song? What better than this, where the talented performer literally sings, “Just do it!” And his stage presence will capture the eyes and bring all the smiles to you who are on the other side of the screen.

    KIM DONGHYUN — ‘F_ix YoU’

    Seeing DONGHYUN giving his all, as usual, fills our hearts, eyes, and ears (we take him losing his shoe during one of the performances as proof!) The artist took over the stage confidently, relaying the message of his song with passion and a blinding smile. ‘F_ix YoU’ is here to dispel the negative vibes from your lives that some people try to inflict. Did you notice the lyrics “This song is present for our haters?” That’s right. DONGHYUN’s song may have cheery vibes, but it has a message we’ll be helping spread by singing along as loud as we can.

    PARK WOOJIN — ‘Top Tier (Rock Ver.)’

    You already know we loved WOOJIN’s solo debut. So naturally, we were hyped when we heard this new version of his title track. ‘Top Tier (Rock Ver.)’ hits even harder, and we didn’t think it possible. Now add that fiery performance our favorite rapper puts on, and you get the perfect song to get loose. We feel pumped up listening to the rock version, and it continues to validate WOOJIN’s top tier status.

    LEE DAEHWI — ‘KILL ME’

    DAEHWI absolutely slayed with his solo song and that enchanting performance. You can’t listen to this song and skip on its stage. If your eyes aren’t glued to the video throughout ‘KILL ME,’ were you even watching? DAEHWI showcases a mature presence, and we are clapping and cheering over the high level of execution. We’re in a trance and we don’t want out.
