The Under-$13 Lip Plumpers I Always Recommend to Friends Who Don’t Want Filler

    [ad_1]

That said, filler isn’t for everyone, and I know plenty of people who simply aren’t interested or can’t afford the treatment and/or upkeep. (It’s a steep investment, after all!) Luckily for us, the makeup industry has really been kicking it up a notch in the innovation department the past few years and some of the most effective lip plumpers boast drugstore-level price tags. Not everyone is looking for plumper lips, but if you’re someone who is craving an extra injection of volume sans filler, you’ve come to the right place. Below, I’m sharing five of the absolute best lip plumpers that A) can be found at the drugstore or B) boast drugstore-affordable price points. Plus, because I feel so passionately about the subject, I’ve gone ahead and added the products that will further enhance your pout, and I even tacked on a few of my favorite, albeit more splurge-y, lip plumpers at the end of the article. Angelina Jolie Puddle Pants, Platforms, and a Key Coat Trend to Get Groceries

    [ad_1]

If I were to see Angelina Jolie at the grocery store, I would want her to be wearing exactly what she was photographed in while leaving the grocery store over the weekend. Her chic, minimal style can certainly be casual and comfortable, but it’s never sloppy—even when she’s doing something as low-key as making a grocery store stop.

Not only was Jolie’s outfit low-key, it was actually quite trendy. The trends she combined were puddle pants (baggy, wide-leg pants that are long enough to pool around the ankles), platforms, and a maxi-length coat. Leave it to Jolie to make trendy pieces look oh so understated. She did so by choosing neutral colors and wearing minimal accessories, which will help you, too, to achieve the low-key trendy look shes’ done an impressive job of perfecting.

Scroll to shop the three chic trends Jolie combined for her grocery store visit.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Has Been Wearing These Controversial Flats to Walk Around NYC

Jennifer Lawrence Has Been Wearing These Controversial Flats to Walk Around NYC

    [ad_1]

When one typically thinks of “controversial” walking shoes, they think of heels, but I’m here to throw a bit of a curve ball in the form of Jennifer Lawrence. NYC resident Lawrence is quite often seen out and about strolling the city blocks, just like any of her fellow New Yorkers. And when it comes to footwear, she’s fairly practical, often favoring sneakers and flats by The Row.

In keeping with her theme, the new flats that Lawrence has been wearing lately are, in fact, from The Row, and they go by the name the Ozzy Slippers. The form-fitting slippers, which she was photographed wearing twice over the weekend, hug the foot and expose the outline of the toes, water shoe style. And while they don’t provide a ton of walking support with their thin sole, they sure are chic, and I’m sure any minimalist would consider them to be a dream shoe.

The Ozzy Flats are currently available for pre-order with a December delivery estimate, but in the meantime, I found a few similar pairs that will tide you over. Scroll to shop them along with The Row’s Ozzy Flats, JLaw’s new favorite walking shoes.

  • 8 Fall Skirt Trends That Will Make You Want to Ditch Your Pants

8 Fall Skirt Trends That Will Make You Want to Ditch Your Pants

    [ad_1]

    Photo:

While full skirts have been a staple since the 19th century, we’ve typically seen this style at its peak popularity during times of austerity (i.e., the civil war, the great depression, and the ’50s). And with the world being in such a state of fluxation, it only makes sense that we’d see designers drawn to more voluminous silhouettes. But unlike past iterations, these skirts have a more modern take that can be attributed to tailoring and color blocking rather than draping.

At Bottega Veneta, leather fringe was used as an underskirt to create a full silhouette, while pleats were used at Prada to the same avail. In contrast, Proenza Schouler used color blocking and bias-cutting to create the illusion of volume. And then (my personal favorite) was how Tory Burch paired full lurex shirts with contrasting fitted wrap tops to create a crisp, accentuated silhouette. Each iteration of this skirt proves that while this trend may be “old,” it can never be dull (if done right).

  • It’s Unclear, But This May or May Not Be the Newest $50 Ugg Trend

It’s Unclear, But This May or May Not Be the Newest $50 Ugg Trend

    [ad_1]

If you came to this story thinking that there’s a new pair of Ugg boots out there that only costs $50, I regret to inform you that that will probably never come to be, but there is a $50 Ugg item that’ll add a cool, protective boost to your boots (and sneakers, but more on that later). This magical item is the Ugg Boot Guard, which fits over the sole of your boots to keep the rain and snow away from the suede.

The Boot Guard actually came out in 2021, but for one reason or another, it’s picked up steam as of late. While the waterproof Boot Guards were made to protect Ugg’s collection of boots, GQ recently reported that sneakerheads were also using them with their beloved Nikes and New Balances. Whatever type of shoe you choose to pair them with, Ugg’s Boot Guard is perhaps the season’s most practical accessory trend, as rain and snow do not mix well with shoes (especially Ugg boots).

When I looked at the Boot Guards on Ugg’s e-comm site, it stated that 6.9k people were viewing the page at that very moment, which feels like a lot. Given all of this, I have a feeling these are going to fly out of stock, so order your pair while you can.

Scroll on to shop the Boot Guards, as well as our favorite Ugg boots to pair them with.

5 Who What Wear Staffers Tried Kim Kardashian’s Shapewear—Read Our Reviews

    [ad_1]

As you probably know, Skims is Kim Kardashian‘s brand of shapewear. The line includes bodysuits, shorts, bras, bralettes, push-up bras, and more. The prices start at $18 and cap out at $98, and the sizes range from XXS to 5XL. Now that we have the basics out of the way, it’s time for the real test: What do real women think of it? Well, I got my hands on the items and tasked four of my co-workers with trying them out and reporting back with their thoughts.

Before we get to our reviews, here’s how Skims describes the impetus behind the brand on its website: “Searching for the best shapewear and underwear over the years, Kim became frustrated with the lack of options available and couldn’t find anything that offered the right support, coverage or shade,” the site reads. “This led her to cut up and dye pieces at home, sewing them together to get the solutions and results she wanted. Skims is Kim’s answer to shapewear that actually works. Designed to smooth, enhance, lift and tone—each piece has a solution for every body.” Scroll down to see what five Who What Wear staffers thought of the items.

Derms 100% Endorse These Under-$16 Body Lotions You Can Buy at the Drugstore

    [ad_1]

“Look for a body lotion that contains a blend of emollient, humectant, and occlusive ingredients to protect and hydrate the skin,” says Josh Zeichner, associate professor of dermatology and director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. “Occlusives like petrolatum form a breathable seal on the skin to keep hydration in and environmental aggressors out. Humectants like hyaluronic acid or glycerin act like sponges to pull in hydration to the skin. Emollients, like fatty alcohols and natural oils soften the outer skin layer.” Zeichner also recommends opting for a fragrance-free option, which is better for sensitive skin.

Zeichner recommends applying body lotion twice a day if possible. If you’re applying after the shower, be sure to slather on body lotion within five minutes to help seal in moisture. Keep reading for some of the best drugstore body lotions out there and why they’re tough to beat.

As beauty editors, one might say we always have our finger on the pulse when it comes to what the absolute best perfumes on the market are. More specifically, we also tend to know which designer perfumes are worthy of a spot on your vanity. You name it, we’ve probably tried it. Although every designer label has its own unique set of fragrances, there are always those that manage to remain a cult-loved item even years after its release.

Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue ($62) is one of them. The classic, timeless scent has remained a best seller for the brand (and beauty-editor favorite) since its release in 2001. Hailey Bieber Wore a Fully Sheer Maxi Dress With Black Lingerie to an LA Party

What makes Hailey Bieber’s style so aspirational is the way she can make anything look effortlessly cool and genuinely copiable, whether it’s a post-pilates set or a slip dress at the Met Gala. Even her most daring style choices—yes, I’m talking about that Met Gala after-party look—elicit a million clones on Instagram and TikTok. And her latest one, despite being one of her most risqué yet, is no exception.

For a party put on by Tiffany & Co. in Los Angeles, the Rhode founder made a completely sheer black maxi dress from Saint Laurent, worn with nothing but a matching bra and underwear set, look entirely casual and wearable. Once intimidating, Bieber managed to make naked dressing for fall an approachable concept. Just add some strappy, sky-high heels and a gold wrist cuff.

Certain moments live eternally within the fashion lexicon, and they continually serve as a reference point to everyone after them. One of those being when Madonna wore the infamous conical Jean Paul Gaultier bra she wore during her Blonde Ambition tour. Needless to say, designers have long adopted intimates as something more than pieces to slip underneath our clothes. Fast forward 30 years after the iconic bra, and lingerie is still as ever a part of ready-to-wear’s DNA (for evidence, a revived Jean Paul Gaultier has recently rereleased the cone bra).

Looking at the most recent fall collections—which are also now hitting retailers—sparkly bras, transparent skirts, and corsets litter its offerings. Some might even say risque trends are at a fever pitch.
