H&M’s Spring Edit Literally Just Dropped—25 Items Guaranteed to Sell Out

    [ad_1]

H&M has burned me more than any other retailer. Too often when I’ve hesitated before purchasing a piece from the brand, it has sold out. The style and the price point combine to create a perfect storm that consistently leads to sellouts. This, while good for the brand, is a bummer for anyone on the other side of the interaction. Because of this, I’ve tweaked my plan of action when shopping on the site, which basically means that I don’t hesitate when I find something really good—I act.

When I checked H&M‘s homepage yesterday afternoon and saw that its spring edit had dropped, I immediately began scouring every last page of new arrivals. After shopping a bit for myself, I couldn’t possibly go on with my week without sharing the news before its best pieces sold out. Without further ado, scroll down to find my picks from H&M’s spring arrivals.

30 Items the Fall 2023 Runways Practically Forced Me to Buy

    [ad_1]

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.

I look at clothes for a living, attending press previews of future collections, test-driving popular pieces, and scouring every brand’s new arrivals section on the daily, and somehow, I manage not to succumb to my desire to actually buy them all. Fashion week, though, is a whole other story. And after seven days of nonstop fashion stimuli, I’m giving in to temptation and shopping to my heart’s content—or rather, my credit limit.

Though I’m hardly finished studying the contents of the collections I just witnessed debut, I do have a pretty strong grasp on the items that made the loudest splash throughout the last week in New York, from the color red’s dominance on the runways (as well as the streets outside) to the abundance of bows, alluring hosiery, artistic jewelry and hardware, among other dangerously pretty things. So, without further ado, bare witness to my post-fashion week shopping list, aka 30 items I simply can’t resist after watching the first of next fall’s collections unveil, by scrolling down below.

These Viral Fall 2023 Trends Are Already Shoppable At Nordstrom

    [ad_1]

Fashion week, more than any other week of the year—apart from, well, the other fashion week six months later—is the time when inspiration is at its most viscous. After seven days of nonstop runway shows, presentations, and previews, it’s almost impossible for outfit ideas and styling methods not to pour out of you—and that’s before you even take into account street style. There’s only one problem: You can’t actually buy what’s on the runways for at least six months, more if you’re waiting for sale prices.

Well, like most things in life, this is one issue that can be easily solved with a trip to Nordstrom. And to prove it, I went ahead and plucked seven trends straight from the fall/winter 2023 runway collections that literally just debuted and sourced market that’s available right this second—no patience required. Keep scrolling to shop all fall 2023’s most viral fashion-week trends, from fishnet tights to metallic pants, at Nordstrom.

  • The $15 Nordstrom Item I Ran Directly Home to Buy After Tory Burch’s NYFW Show

The $15 Nordstrom Item I Ran Directly Home to Buy After Tory Burch’s NYFW Show

    [ad_1]

For the second season running, Tory Burch’s New York Fashion Week show has been one of if not *the* most talked-about of all. Burch’s S/S 23 collection shocked attendees who thought they knew the Tory Burch look, with its unique color and fabric pairings, unexpected styling, and hyper-elevated overall aesthetic. For F/W 23, the buzz around NYFW was all about whether or not her next offering would live up to the hype created six months prior. And now that we’ve all had time to ruminate on all 36 looks, the results are in. She not only succeeded in meeting our high expectations; she exceeded them.

Though I could write an entire dissertation about the strength of Burch’s fall collection, I’ve decided to instead keep things short and sweet by zeroing in on one item included in almost every look that had my fellow editors and I heading straight for the Nordstrom app to get in on the trend. If you don’t already know, I’m talking about fishnet tights, which Burch styled with flats, heels, and boots throughout the show. Once considered anti-chic in fashion circles, the holy hosiery is officially back in our good graces. And after scrolling through Nordstrom, I found the perfect $15 pair to welcome fishnets back into my wardrobe.

Scroll down to shop the micro-trend, and see how Burch styled it in her latest show.

The Final Markdowns From Nordstrom’s Designer Sale Are Here—24 Items to Shop RN

    [ad_1]

We’ve reached the final stretch of sale season, when the very best deals arrive on items that almost never get marked down. Early on, you’re not going to run into a lot of trouble scouring for discounted fast-fashion items. You won’t, however, see a bevy of Miu Miu, Prada, and Bottega Veneta at discounts up to 60%. Those kinds of prices are for the patient and the patient only. But if you were able to hold off on shopping at the beginning of the markdown period, now’s the time to reap the rewards.

As we speak at Nordstrom, the final reductions have been made to the retailer’s selection of on-sale designer items, with all of the above labels as well as Moncler, Burberry, and more currently priced far below their normal retail value. But if I know anything about designer sales, especially ones as good as this one, their contents don’t sit around for long. Below, shop what’s left of Nordstrom’s designer sale.

  • And Now, the First 37 Mango Items I’m Shopping in 2023

And Now, the First 37 Mango Items I’m Shopping in 2023

    [ad_1]

Last summer, when Mango launched its premiere line Selection, I was all over it. Wool miniskirts with matching menswear-inspired coats, chrome-toe pumps, waistcoat suits, and more—the collection included everything I wanted to buy at the time, and though the price tag was slightly higher than Mango’s standard range, the pieces had the quality to back them up. Now, just in time for spring, the Spanish brand’s gone and done it all over again.

Selection’s second collection arrived early this week and is already showing signs of one-upping the first. Those Miu Miu-inspired knee-length, low-rise, pleated skirts that everyone and their sister is scouring the internet for? They’re in there. Metallic accessories, including a $100 pair of Mary Jane ballet flats? They’re in there. Sheer lace, chunky silver jewelry, floor-length slips, and super-strappy heels all, too, made the cut. In less words, for the second time in a row, Mango’s dropped an offering full of all the pieces I want at the moment. And I get the feeling that I’m not the only one.

Scroll down to shop the first Mango items I’m shopping this year.

  • 41 Nordstrom, Zara, and H&M Items That Look Like Luxury (Without the Price Tag)

41 Nordstrom, Zara, and H&M Items That Look Like Luxury (Without the Price Tag)

    [ad_1]

The days of layering on as many fashion items as you possibly can in the name of maximalism are officially over. Instead, I’ve been noticing a slow but significant shift toward a quieter, more luxurious method of dressing. Think soft, neutral-colored sweaters; exquisite tailoring; pretty, timeless dresses; and accessories you’ll own and cherish forever. The only downfall is that with simpler, higher-quality pieces, the prices also tend to rise.

That’s where I come in. Rather than diving head first into this inherently expensive trend without any sort of budget, I’m suggesting the 41 items from Zara, Nordstrom, and H&M that are listed out below. Not only are they all $150 or less, making them far easier to justify during the approaching tax season, but they also look shockingly pricey, easily giving you the quiet-luxury look without the strain on your wallet.

Keep scrolling to shop the anti-maximalism trend that’s taking over fashion ATM on a $150 budget at Nordstrom, Zara, and H&M.

My 59-Year-Old Mom Has $200 to Spend at Nordstrom—34 Items I’d Buy If I Were Her

    [ad_1]

If you ask me whether or not to buy someone a gift card as a present, I’ll tell you that it’s impersonal and a bit of a yawn 90% of the time. The only time I praise them is when the recipient is anything like my mother, who almost never buys anything indulgent for herself and therefore needs the incentive to go out and splurge on something that’s just for her.

That is why I was thrilled to find out that she’d been gifted with a $200 gift card to Nordstrom aka our department store. (Everyone has one that holds an extra-special place in their hearts.) I’m aware that she knows her way around Nordstrom just as well as I do from years of experience, but given how little time she spends shopping anymore, I took it upon myself to scour the entire contents of the store (no really, I did) to help her get busy spending it. Below, find 34 under-$200 items that I’d pick if I were my gift card–holding 59-year-old mom.

  • I Asked 3 Resale Experts for Luxury Items Worth Investing In—They Said These

I Asked 3 Resale Experts for Luxury Items Worth Investing In—They Said These

    [ad_1]

A lot goes into making a serious investment, no matter what it is. Just like you wouldn’t purchase a home or a car without proper planning and research, most people wouldn’t drop a significant amount of money on a designer bag, coat, or pair of shoes on a whim either. Knowing whether said item will lose its popularity in a season’s time, its resale value in the short and long term, and more are all variables to consider ahead of any type of financial exchange. Luckily, there are experts for that—and I just so happened to recently catch up with three of them.

Currently, designer offerings are the priciest they’ve perhaps ever been and the most desirable, making it all the more important for us to do our homework beforehand. Knowing that, I called on Jessica Henderson, a senior curator at FASHIONPHILE; Kelly McSweeney, The RealReal’s senior merchandising manager; and a representative at Vestiaire Collective to teach all prospective investors about the designer items that pack the most punch financially speaking. Ahead, see and shop the items they think will best hold their value down the line.

  • The 2023 Jewelry Trends Everyone’s About to Be Completely Obsessed With

The 2023 Jewelry Trends Everyone’s About to Be Completely Obsessed With

    [ad_1]

I never used to be a big jewelry person. For years, I wore small gold hoops and the occasional ring or simple pendant necklace, never bothering to experiment. But lately, I’ve begun to realize how doing so has hindered me sartorially and kept me from taking my outfits to their max potential.

My coming to that realization shouldn’t be shocking given how alluring this year’s jewelry offering is thus far. After minimalism’s long tenure left our necks, wrists, and fingers feeling lightweight and bare, fashion has taken a turn of late, especially in the bauble department. More and more, statement jewelry pieces like sculptural wrist cuffs and colorful costume chokers are making their way onto the runways and into our collections, knocking simple chains and hoops out of the top-shelf spot they’ve resided on all throughout the early ’20s.

But don’t just take my word for it—believe the experts. To help usher me back into the world of jewelry, I called on buyers from Nordstrom, Shopbop, and MatchesFashion to share their favorite trends in the genre for 2023. Read all about it below.

Net-a-Porter’s Sale Has Entered Into 80%-Off Territory—34 Finds to Shop First

    [ad_1]

If there’s ever a time to stress patience, it’s sale season. Though it’s commonplace to think that you have to act on a sale immediately after it launches in order to avoid missing out on something you want (hello, have you ever been to a New York City sample sale?), that isn’t always the path toward the best deal. Rather, unless your dream bag, pair of boots, or coat is one of the last few in stock right when the discounts kick off, I’ve always found it worthwhile to sit on it a little bit. Eventually, especially in the case of Net-a-Porter sales, it very well might get marked down again… and again… and then once more.

As luck would have it, the final round of markdowns for the luxury retailer’s epic winter sale is happening right now, and it includes over 18,000 items at prices up to 80% off (casual). From Khaite sweaters and basics from The Row to Saint Laurent eyewear and Nensi Dojaka dresses, the sale selection being offered right now at Net-a-Porter was well worth waiting for. And since you’ve been patient, I went ahead and rounded up the best 34 finds from the bunch. Scroll down to shop them all.

These 30 Items Are Already Defining 2023—Take Note

    [ad_1]

We’re but eight days in 2023, and yet the year is already brimming with viral or potentially viral items and trends that are sure to go on to reign throughout the next 357 days. Thanks to platforms like Instagram and TikTok, where content is spit out every second of every day, there’s no need to wait months to determine what’s going to be big for the Q1. We already know it, and yes, Ugg’s ubiquitous new Classic Ultra Mini Platforms play an integral part in the discussion.

But the everywhere-I-look booties aren’t the only items taking over our feeds and in-person reality at this very moment. Rather, 2023 has racked up its fair share of year-defining fashion pieces, from Loewe’s padded leather bomber jacket—which has already been spotted on Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Taylor Russell—to Mango’s faux-shearling alt for Totême’s cult-favorite and often sold out jacket. (Mango’s version is equally likely to sell out, so act fast while it’s restocked.) To see and shop them all, keep scrolling.

J.Crew Casually Put a Ton Of Its New Arrivals On Sale—I’m Buying These 29 First

    [ad_1]

As a fashion editor who spends most of her time, both during the work day and long after it, scouring online stores for the next It thing, there are two specific things that get me really excited: sales and new arrivals. Sadly, I almost never get them in conjunction. That isn’t the case today, though, thanks to J.Crew’s current “SHOPNOW” code, which has much of the brand’s newest items marked down by 30%.

Since this happens so rarely, when I spotted the sale marker on J.Crew’s website, I knew right away that I had to first, shop the selection myself, and second, make it easy for all of you to do the same. After all, who can resist a sale that includes penny loafers, cable-knit sweaters, chic outerwear, and yes, cashmere, all of which is seasonally appropriate right now and 30% off? That’s right—no one. Scroll down to shop my favorite items from J.Crew’s sale on new arrivals (and more).

  • I’m a Sucker for Designer Sweaters—33 Cozy Styles I’m Currently Smitten With

I’m a Sucker for Designer Sweaters—33 Cozy Styles I’m Currently Smitten With

    [ad_1]

In my past life, I had a tendency to get a bit excessive when shopping for sweaters upon the arrival of colder weather. It was as if I completely forgot that I’d stocked up on them just 365 days prior (not to mention 365 days before that). Of course, by opting for quantity over quality from the start, my knitwear budget was pretty much dried up early on, and I had no room to purchase any of the sweaters I really wanted—the ultra-luxurious ones that feel like butter as opposed to scratchy synthetics. Instead, I mostly bought fast-fashion alts that clearly didn’t satisfy me in the long-term.

For the sake of my wardrobe (among other things), I’ve since learned that less is more when it comes to clothes, sweaters especially. And now that I’ve experienced the draw of a top-tier cashmere knit from a brand like Khaite or The Row, I’ve transitioned into being a strict “one or two sweaters per year” type of shopper who only buys a knit if it’s really good and will last me, well, forever with the right care. To help steer others toward the same conclusion, I decided to round up some of the absolute best designer sweaters on the market right now. I promise—once you’ve felt the good stuff, you’ll never go back to prioritizing quantity over quality when it comes to knitwear.

Mango’s New Arrivals Are Dangerously Chic—26 I’m Spending My January Paycheck On

    [ad_1]

For most of November and December, every time I checked up on my favorite brands’ websites, all I saw were last-season sale items that I’d become overstimulated by or bought full-price months prior, or were entirely sold out besides maybe one or two sizes. So, when January hit and brought with it all of the new-year arrivals, you bet I was quick to jump on my computer and start scrolling. First stop was Mango

It took me about a minute to realize that I wanted everything, from the perfectly distressed, Miu Miu–esque motorcycle boots (that are sadly selling out faster than Ugg’s Classic Ultra Mini Platforms after they were spotted on Elsa Hosk during NYFW) to the metallic accessories, ranging from shopper bags to skinny belts. And those are just my highlights. Ahead, shop all of the can’t-miss new items at Mango that I’ve spent the whole of 2023 thinking about.

    [ad_1]

As much as I love a simple slip or classic LBD, every now and again, I find it refreshing to switch things up and opt for dresses that err more on the side of trendy than evergreen. Luckily, with many of fashion’s most influential designers choosing 2023 to experiment with retro silhouettes and interesting fabrics, the year ahead is rich with dress trends, all of which are good enough to make sidelining even the most timeless styles worth it.

After consulting the spring 2023 runways, as well as just about every cool feed on Instagram, I managed to edit down my once overwhelming list of pretty dress trends for next year to a far more digestible one that only features the very best of the sartorial genre. I Just Scored the Perfect $60 Alt For Khaite’s Hyper-Chic $1600 Slouchy Bag

    [ad_1]

I’ve never been a huge handbag person, often preferring to instead indulge in fancy shoes, outerwear, and dresses (but mostly shoes). So, when a bag does come around that really and truly catches my eye, it’s kind of a big deal. Such was exactly the case when I first spotted Khaite’s Olivia bag, a super-slouchy, circular handbag that comes in leather, suede, and most chic of all, patent. Carried by celebs like Elsa Hosk and Lily Aldridge, the purse is one of today’s most-wanted, only making me want it more.

There’s just one catch. With it’s awe-worthy aesthetic comes a hefty price tag—a $1,600 one, specifically. And between holiday-gift shopping and my own Black Friday–induced spending, my 2022 budget is pretty much closed for business. What is within my limit, however, is the $60 Mango alt I discovered on my last scroll through the affordable brand’s accessories department. And when a find this good comes along, it’d be wrong of me not to share it.

According to My Research, These Are the Only 6 Winter Shoe Trends That Matter

    [ad_1]

In my experience, everyone in fashion has their thing, be it handbags, outerwear, basics, or most often, shoes, including but not limited to boots, heels, sandals, clogs, and flats. Mine, like so many, revolves solely around footwear. And because of that, I spend a large chunk of my day looking through runway shows, Instagram feeds, magazines, and of course, the market, in order to garner enough information about the state of the footwear market to report on it accurately and with the level of enthusiasm only a true shoe lover can emote.

That brings me to my latest dump of research findings, which center around the shoe trends that will dominate the fashion scene throughout the approaching winter. From engineer boots inspired by Miu Miu’s FW22 offerings to colorful options that are sure to spark joy on even the gloomiest of winter days, the 6 shoe trends ahead are lying in wait for the season to begin and their reigns over our feet to commence. I Popped Into Zara After Work and Left With an Entire Wardrobe—Here’s the Damage

Welcome to Let’s Get a Room, a series where editor Eliza Huber heads to the dressing room to try on pieces from your favorite retailers, buzzy items, and new collections. Think of this column as a detailed guide to the pieces that are actually worth buying and the ones that, unfortunately, looked better online—no returns necessary.

If you know me, you’re probably already aware of my slight obsession with Zara. Ever since a store opened at my mall in the Chicago suburbs back in high school, I’ve been hooked. So, of course, now that I live in New York City’s biggest shopping hub, I frequent Zara’s SoHo store on a frequent basis. And this last time, I decided to document it.

With a new season approaching, I couldn’t resist popping in to see and try on all the fresh arrivals I’d already bookmarked in the Zara app. And I must say, this latest drop is one of the brand’s best—no question. From tube tops fit for fall and winter to moto boots that are destined to garner you compliments galore, see all the pieces I test-drove at Zara during my most recent post-work drop-in. I have a feeling you’ll like them as much as I did.
