Margot Robbie Just Wore This Sturdy Shoe Trend All Over NYC and the Airport

    [ad_1]

Margot Robbie is on the move, and she packed a pair of shoes to travel to NYC this week that you may or may not agree were made for walking. While in town for the Gotham Awards, Robbie was photographed at JFK and in Soho wearing a pair of Bottega Veneta Western-inspired mules. Even though the shoes feature a towering four-inch heel, it’s a sturdy Cuban heel, which is traditional for Western footwear. And like many of Bottega Veneta’s shoes, they feature a treaded rubber sole.

While I wouldn’t typically condone wearing four-inch mules around NYC and at the airport, this would be the pair to do it in. And in general, Western shoes are a great option if you want a bit of height but still want something walkable. With that, scroll to see what Robbie wore her Bottega Veneta mules with and shop other sturdy (and chic) Western shoes for yourself.

  • I Just Got Back From Austin—3 Westerncore Looks I Simply Had to Break Out

I Just Got Back From Austin—3 Westerncore Looks I Simply Had to Break Out

    [ad_1]

If you’re simultaneously obsessed with the latest micro-trends and too intimidated to test them out, you’ve come to the right place. This is Ways to Wear, a monthly series where editor Eliza Huber offers a dose of outfit inspiration centered around current trends that feel intriguing yet overwhelming at the same time. Consider it your guide to actually wearing the coolest items of the moment, no matter how puzzling they might appear at first.

From fringe and suede to double denim and unironic cowboy hats, there’s no denying that in 2023, Western fashion is everywhere. Sometimes its appearance is subtle, like when a sweater features whipstitched edges or a pair of black boots has an angled, thick heel. At others, there’s no denying the influence the wild, wild West had on an article of clothing or accessory, such as when an oversize belt buckle acts as the only thing breaking up a Canadian tuxedo or a pair of jeans feature chap-like details in the front and back (yes, I am talking about the just-launched Still Here line). There’s really no right or wrong way to do Westerncore this year as long as you’re doing it.

Personally, I’m on board with both routes of conquering the trend, a statement you’ll see proof of in the three Western-inspired ensembles I took for a test-drive during my recent weekend trip to Austin, Texas for the Formula One U.S. Grand Prix. Just like half of the drivers, I chose to lean into the Americana theme of the three-day event, and of course, I documented the entire thing. Scroll down to see how exactly I styled the Westerncore trend that’s downright taken over TikTok and the fashion industry while in the land of cowboy culture and its associated style.

  • 5 Outfits I Wore in Montana That Earned Me Tons of Compliments

5 Outfits I Wore in Montana That Earned Me Tons of Compliments

    [ad_1]

If there is one thing I love it’s all things western. Cowboy boots, bourbon, horses, you name it – I’m into it. So when Lone Mountain Ranch reached out to me and wanted to have me come check out their property in Big Sky I couldn’t have said yes fast enough. Not only was I going to get to live out my Yellowstone fantasy but I was going to get to plan a few western style outfits to wear in Montana, music to my ears.

Lone Mountain Ranch really took everything into their own hands planning out an entire itinerary for me and several other women visiting the ranch for the ranch’s annual “Cowgirl up” week. Which is a week designed for women to come alone or bring friends for a week filled with horse back riding, wine tasting, archery, axe throwing, fly fishing and of course visiting the national park. With my itinerary done already for me all I really needed to worry about was what I was going to wear.  After digging through tons of inspo from my favorite costal cowgirl influencers and tons of old Wrangler and Ralph Lauren ads I packed my bags and headed to the West.

Once I got there I immediately fell in love. It was my first time in Montana and I was expecting to think it was beautiful but I have to admit I fell hard. I’ll definitely be back soon. Staying on the ranch was like a dream, I met so many women who have been coming to this exact week on the property for years with other women they met on their first trip. There we’re best friend duos, mother daughter duos, and other solo travelers like me, many of whom I would consider friends after the week we had.

While I was there 5 of my outfits stood out amongst the rest. From the looks I wore horseback riding to my outfits for our dinners keep scrolling to see which 5 earned me tons of compliments on my trip.

  • Hailey Bieber Wore This Buzzy Boot Trend With Just a Sweater

Hailey Bieber Wore This Buzzy Boot Trend With Just a Sweater

    [ad_1]

Hailey Bieber’s date night style is as enviable as it gets. No matter what vibe she’s going for on any given night on the town, she looks cool and effortless—including when she appears to possibly have forgotten her pants. That was a joke, of course, as pantsless outfits are a trend that celebrities, in particular, love. And the boots she chose for the night actually made the trend a bit more wearable.

Bieber’s outfit consisted of an oversized black Acne Studios sweater and a pair of Coperni Western boots. Western boots are one of the biggest boot trends of the season—especially elevated knee-high pairs, so it’s hardly surprising that the always trend-forward Bieber is wearing them. The boots grounded the no-pants outfit, giving it more of low-key, cool-girl look than heels would’ve.

Pantsless outfit or not, I’m fully convinced that I need a pair of knee-high Western boots STAT. Scroll on to see Bieber’s date night look and shop a few of the pairs of chic Western boots I’m deciding between.

  • What Not to Wear With Cowboy Boots

What Not to Wear With Cowboy Boots

    [ad_1]

Cowboy boots are a thing yet again. Street style, Instagram, and the new shoe arrivals on every cool shopping site are proof positive of this. That said, the Western boots that fashion girls are buying this season are decidedly more polished than the rugged styles of the past, and we’ve noticed that there are certain things they’re simply not wearing with their chic new boots. Alternatively, we’re also here to talk about what to wear with cowboy boots.

The tricky thing about cowboy boots is that they’re more specific than, say, Chelsea boots. If you wear them with pieces that conflict with their aesthetic, it may look a little confusing. If you wear them with other boldly Western pieces, it can look like Halloween came early.

Fashion people have been honing their cowboy-boot-styling skills in recent weeks, and we’ve been keeping track. Scroll on to find out which pieces stylish women have been keeping far away from their cowboy boots and which pieces they’re wearing with them. Oh, you can shop the coolest styles on the market along the way.
