Power outage reported in Arden-Arcade near where vehicle crashed into pole

More than 1,000 people were without power in Sacramento County on Tuesday night, according to an outage map from SMUD. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department said it was responding to a crash near the intersection of Watt and Whitney avenues around 10:47 p.m.A vehicle had crashed into a power pole and hydrant, officials said. No injuries were reported.Sac Metro Fire said the power pole had been sheared, causing outages in the area.
