Joseline Hernandez Reminds Social Media Why She’s Been That Girl
Over the weekend, a video post was shared on Joseline Hernandez’s Instagram account, captioned, “A never seen before interview of me Curated by @thegirljt 🤑”
JT appeared to be recording Hernandez as the Puerto Rican princess shouted her out.
“Shout out to my b***h, JT. I love her, she’s an icon, she’s everything — she’s the moment, and she’s amazing. She’s beautiful, she’s sexy,” Hernandez told the camera when JT jumped in and asked Joseline about herself and why others can’t style her.
In turn, Hernandez explained that she’s been an It-girl and has been “wearing Chanel.”
“She was one of the only Puerto Rican, Black girls you seen on ‘Love & Hip Hop’ wearing Chanel,” Hernandez explained before JT hyped up her makeup.
As she continued hyping herself up, Hernandez made sure to let viewers know that her jewelry collection is also not something to play with. Ultimately, Hernandez explained that style isn’t something you can put on. In her opinion, it’s something that’s either in you or not, and she has hers on lock.

Before Reminding Social Media Why She’s Been That Girl, Joseline Hernandez Opened Up About Motherhood
Before reminding social media why she’s been that girl, Joseline Hernandez opened up about her experience in motherhood. As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, Hernandez took to social media to share footage of herself hitting a dance step alongside her daughter, Bonnie Bella. Furthermore, the pair were dancing to her recently released single, ‘I Like The Way You Are.’
In the caption of the clip, Hernandez explained that she is “being the best mother” she can be.
” hey said I wasn’t going to be a good mother or they said I was this and that and not fit to be a nurturing mom or a caring Mother! I’m with my seed every step of the way! I’m the #mother I never had! And I’m enjoying the process,” she wrote.
PORTLAND, Ore. – A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for portions of central and eastern Oregon as heavy rainfall increases the risk of landslides and debris flows, particularly in areas with steep terrain and recent wildfire burns.
The National Weather Service issued the alert Tuesday afternoon, warning that conditions are favorable for flash flooding from 1:50 p.m. PDT today through 11 p.m. Thursday. Affected areas include central Oregon, the east slopes of the Oregon Cascades, the John Day Basin, the Ochoco-John Day Highlands, and the Southern Blue Mountains.
State geologists caution that debris flows — fast-moving landslides that can carry boulders, logs, and water-saturated soil — pose a serious threat to people, property and roads located below steep slopes or near canyon mouths.
Residents and travelers in the watch area are urged to stay alert and take the following precautions:
Monitor weather reports via radio, TV or online. Evacuate immediately if advised.
Be aware of unusual sounds like cracking trees or knocking boulders, which may signal a landslide.
Watch for sudden changes in stream flow — water turning muddy or flowing irregularly may indicate upstream activity.
Travel with caution and assume roads may be unsafe, particularly at night.
Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson is in good form going into the World Athletics Championships
The world’s best athletes will take to the track and field this weekend when the World Athletics Championships get under way in Tokyo from September 13-21.
Many of the stars who shone at Paris 2024 will be there, including Britain’s 800m Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson and USA’s 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles.
One of the major talking points away from the sport has been the introduction of a mandatory SRY or sex test for athletes who intend to compete in female categories.
All athletes in female category take new ‘sex test’
World Athletics, led by their President Seb Coe, have taken an unambiguous stance for several years when it comes to talking about and defining new rules around the sensitive issues of the protection of female categories, transgender and DSD (Difference of Sexual Development).
They became the first global sporting federation to announce they would introduce a mandatory, once-in-a-lifetime gene test, known as an SRY Test earlier this year.
The test identifies the Y chromosome which causes male characteristics to develop. If an athlete returns a negative result, they are eligible to compete in female categories at world ranking events, including these World Championships.

World Athletics President Lord Coe says the governing body will do ‘whatever is necessary’ to protect the female category in the sport after it approved the introduction of cheek swabbing to determine if an athlete is biologically female
Coe told Sky Sports he expected every athlete required to take an SRY Test will have done so by the time track and field events get under way in Tokyo, including all French athletes.
In France, the process has been complicated by French law where the SRY gene test is illegal in France due to a 1994 law banning DNA testing for non-medical, non-judicial purposes to protect family integrity, so French athletes have had to undertake the SRY test by travelling outside of France.
Coe confirmed that while it is World Athletics’ stated aim to have all athletes tested by the start of the World Championships next month, the results do not have to be known due to the tight time frame.
For athletes whose national federation hasn’t been able to offer an SRY test yet, World Athletics will step in and offer the test at holding camps in Japan used by athletes prior to competing in Tokyo.
“By and large, the process has gone pretty smoothly, but it’s not been without its challenges,” Coe said. “The vast majority have been pretty straightforward and we’ve (World Athletics) made a contribution of about US$100 per test.”
How important are championships for Coe?
Very.
He has transformed the athletics governing body since his election in Beijing in 2015 from the tarnished old IAAF to the new World Athletics.
He’s serving his third and final term as president and while no doubt still pondering his defeat in March’s International Olympic Committee (IOC) presidency election to Kirsty Coventry, his first love has always been track and field, and during his term as president he has tackled controversial issues like banning Russia and bringing in updated rules on gender eligibility.

Lord Coe accepts defeat to Kirsty Coventry in the IOC Presidential vote and says he welcomes the fact it’s a former Olympic athlete who will take up the role
While those issues can be divisive, the progress of time has shown that many, if not most, sporting federations have followed athletics’ lead by watching and then following.
It’s interesting to note that the new IOC President, whom he lost out to, is preparing the IOC to greater understand and perhaps even lead on gender eligibility and protections for female sports stars.
He also wants athletics firmly in the position of the world’s second most popular sport behind football by showing off packed out stadia in Tokyo.
The World Championships take place in the 70,000 capacity Olympic Stadium where during the 2020 Olympics not one fan was able to watch the sport on offer due to a strict Covid-19 lockdown in Japan.
Many of the sessions during the nine days of competition are sell-outs and, according to Coe, no session will have fewer than 50,000 people in attendance.
Tokyo heat, humidity and typhoons
World Athletics deliberately scheduled the start of their marquee championships later than they would normally. Two years ago in Budapest, for example, the schedule ran during August.
High temperatures and humidity can be exceedingly high in Japan during the months of July and August, as many athletes who competed at the Tokyo Olympics four years ago will testify to.
The 2025 World Athletics Championships will be held at the National Stadium in Tokyo from September 13-21
However, heat mitigation measures will again be in place as Japan has experienced temperatures 2.36 Degrees Celsius above average between June and August, with local temperatures in Tokyo this week reaching 33 Degrees Celsius.
World Athletics president Seb Coe is of the belief that climate change is not temporary and is here to stay; at these championships, decisions on whether competition will go ahead will not be in the hands of local organisers, but World Athletics.
Information on drinks, ice baths and cooling techniques has been shared widely with athletes and their federations, while plenty of provision will be in place for spectators.
Tokyo and Japan, in general, is prone to typhoons at this time of year, indeed many British and Northern Irish athletes were confined to their hotel at their training camp for a few days due to a typhoon. If such a weather system hits Tokyo during the championships, it will again be a decision for World Athletics to make as to whether to postpone or cancel events.
Where could GB medals come from?
Great Britain and Northern Ireland haven’t been set a medal target, but a top-eight finish in the medal table is the challenge, with an expectation of several of their world-leading track stars to medal and all relay squads to medal.
So who are the stars? The women’s 800m final has been scheduled for the last session of the last day of the championships, as it’s been viewed as being a hot ticket in town. Two Brits could well end up on the podium, both friends and training partners coached by husband and wife duo Jenny Meadows and Trevor Painter – Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson and Georgia Hunter-Bell.
Hodgkinson was one of the stars of Paris last year, streaking home to become Olympic champion and, although she has suffered hamstring injuries this year, she has come back to racing in time and is running ferociously quickly.

While perhaps not quite the right time for a tilt at the 800m world record, if Hodgkinson feels it, she’ll go for it.
Elsewhere, medals could come in men’s middle distance, with 1500m runner Josh Kerr defending his world title he won in 2023.
His battles with Norway’s Jacob Ingebrigtsen have already become legendary, with the two not the best of pals. At the Paris Olympics, one of the two should have taken the gold medal, but their attention on one another allowed the USA’s Cole Hocker to shock them both and cross the line first.
George Mills, son of Danny – the former Leeds, Manchester City and England defender – is a serious contender for medals in the men’s 5000m. This season he’s beaten Sir Mo Farah’s long-standing British 5000m record and ran the second fastest 1500m by a Brit, so the 26-year-old is well warmed up.
Katarina Johnson-Thompson is always a threat at major championships, and at Tokyo she will defend the heptathlon world title she won two years ago. She was also crowned world champion in 2019, and took Olympic silver in Paris.
Dina Asher-Smith will make her seventh appearance at a World Championship and, while the competition is fierce in both the 100m and 200m, she is running quickly this season.
“I’m just really happy,” she told Sky Sports. “I think the other week in Zurich is testament to what kind of shape I’m in because, honestly, I knew that I’ve been in good shape for a very long time and I know that I’ve been putting together some great races in the past few months, but to run a 10.90!
!I was picking it out because I know I could have had faster in me that day, but still obviously I’m very happy.”
Could Dina Asher-Smith medal at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo?
Also very quick is Daryll Neita, who finished fourth in the women’s Olympic 100m final in Paris, narrowly missing out on a medal. She did, however, take home an Olympic Silver medal from the 4x100m women’s relay and in Tokyo it is expected that Great Britain and Northern Ireland medal in all five relay disciplines.
Individually, in the men’s sprint events (100m and 200m), Zharnel Hughes should at the very least make finals, as the qualified pilot has run sub-10 seconds in the 100m and sub-20 seconds in the 200m. With age, Hughes seems to get faster, as he broke both British 100m and 200m records in 2023, the same year he took his first ever global medal, a bronze at the last World Athletics Championships.
“Obviously the experience has been taking me into finals and stuff like that,” he said. “I’ve always been one to be reckoned with when it comes to the championships. I’ve always been able to position myself into the finals at every major championship.
“Unfortunately, last year it didn’t get to happen due to injury, but I’m feeling confident and I’m looking forward to getting myself on that podium for sure. I’ll be giving it my very best, I’m filled with determination and I’m quite confident in my ability that I can always catch you at the very end.
“I’m trusting myself and trusting my speed. The work that I’ve put in leading up to this championship has been tremendous. It’s going to be great.”
While the British team is medal heavy on expectation from the track, also keep an eye on pole-vaulter Molly Caudery. She won the 2024 World Indoor title and won the Diamond League meeting in Doha in May.
The Cornishwoman is a huge talent was expected to challenge for the gold at the Olympics last year, but had a shocker and failed to even qualify for the final. The 25-year-old is determined to learn the mental lesson from a year ago.
From Philadelphia to Miami to Chicago to Atlanta, Chris Brown fans received the surprise of a lifetime when they arrived at recent “Breezy Bowl” stops and found out their tickets had up and disappeared.
Why’s it happening? Additionally, what’s being done to prevent similar instances at future tour stops?
Now, The Shade Room’sJustin Carter is getting to the bottom of things on ‘TSR Investigates.’
More About Chris Brown Fans & The Disappearing Breezy Bowl Tickets
According to Carter, Brianna Upshaw was one of the many fans who arrived at “Breezy Bowl.” This, only for her to be turned away. Per Upshaw, she purchased her tickets in April. And sat outside the “Breezy Bowl” tour stop in Atlanta, only to “not be let in.”
“They told me I needed to go to the ticket booth to get new tickets because my floor seats were now invalid,” Upshaw explained to Carter. “…Prior to that, I didn’t get any notification, any email about any changes to my seat — [not] anything from Ticketmaster or Truist Park. So I’m finding this out once I’m there already and in line.”
Furthermore, per Upshaw, to make matters worse, seat fixes and accommodations were reportedly only being made on a first-come, first-served basis.
“I heard Bryson Tiller… I heard Summer… and once I heard Chris come out, I just kind of gave up,” Upshaw recalled. “And then also at that point, too, they locked the gates. They said, ‘You know, even if you do get a new seat, we’re not letting anybody else back in.’ So I just gave up and called an Uber back home.”
Chris Brown Speaks Out
According to Carter, Upshaw received an email asserting that since the event had already passed and was not canceled, she would not be able to receive a refund. Scroll above to watch as Carter shares accounts from fellow Breezy fans who found themselves in similar circumstances.
Furthermore, Carter also shares a statement received from Ticketmaster. Meanwhile, earlier this week, Chris Brown shared a message, addressing the concert mishaps.

Jazlyn Mychelle Has Been Mentioned Regarding Recent Headlines Involving NBA YoungBoy & Yaya Mayweather
Recently, Jazlyn Mychelle was mentioned amid social media chatter due to recent headlines involving NBA YoungBoy and one of the other mothers of his children, Yaya Mayweather. As The Shade Room previously reported, in August, Mayweather seemingly downplayed YoungBoy’s union with Mychelle while shutting down claims that she’s a “homewrecker,” per The Shade Room. Mayweather’s works arrived amid social media users criticizing her for seemingly receiving a lavish gift from YoungBoy and sharing loving words for him online.
To note, neither Mychelle nor YoungBoy spoke out to address Mayweather’s statements. Since then, Mayweather has continued to spark chatter online, recently sharing another warm message for YoungBoy following his Dallas concert.
More On The Resurfaced Footage Of Stefon Diggs Taking A Tumble While Exercising On The Pilates Machine
Over the weekend, The Shade Room posted footage of Stefon Diggs exercising on a pilates machine. Furthermore, the footage seemingly showed Diggs in deep focus with his hands clasped into the handles of the pilates machine and his knees flat on the machine’s bench. Additionally, the 3-year-old even compared her grandmother’s appearance to Scar from ‘The Lion King,’ Ursula from ‘The Little Mermaid,’ and Cruella de Vil from ‘101 Dalmations.’

More Details On The Incident Reportedly Involving Nearly 100 Raccoons
According to USA Today, the incident occurred on Thursday, October 3. The outlet reports that footage captured “nearly 100” raccoons swarming an unidentified woman’s house “in broad daylight.”
The woman called 911 and told deputies that the raccoons had been gathering in her backyard for about six weeks.
Furthermore, she reportedly explained she had been feeding raccoons on her property for over 38 years.
“Somehow the word got out in raccoon land, and they all showed up to her house expecting a meal,” Kevin McCarty, a spokesperson for the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, told reporters, per PEOPLE.
How Did The Washington Woman Resolve The Issue?
According to the outlet, as the weeks passed, the raccoons were reportedly becoming aggressive. This prompted her to call the authorities.
“She said the normal raccoons are nice, but the new ones scare her,” McCarty added per USA Today.
Per USA Today, the woman said the animals would “scratch on windows or walls at all hours of the day,” apparently wanting to be fed.
On Thursday afternoon, around 1 p.m., the woman was finally able to leave her home after deputies arrived at the scene.
What Has Happened To The Raccoons?
According to the outlet, the Kitsap officers informed the Department of Fish and Wildlife about the animals. Additionally, the department connected the woman with its “wildlife control operators.” USA Today notes that the operators deal with smaller animals and usually capture them to be “released on-site… euthanized and properly disposed of.”
Furthermore, Bridget Mire, a spokesperson for the department, reminded the public to refrain from feeding the wildlife. This reportedly prompts animals to congregate and possibly attract predators.
As of Tuesday, October 8, USA Today has not received an update on the status of the raccoons.
Here’s What Reportedly Happened During The Small Plane’s Evacuation From Hurricane Milton
According to The Independent, the crash occurred around 10:52 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, near St. Petersburg’s Albert Whitted Airport. Four people were reportedly onboard a Piper Cherokee aircraft when the engine failed.
The craft reportedly landed in a body of water.

Erica Banks has sparked major criticism online after she shared a tribute post about Rich Homie Quan. Additionally, Bank’s post — made hours after reports of Quan’s passing — appeared to display intimate moments between her and Quan.
Furthermore, audio has also been released of the 911 call requesting paramedics for Quan.
On the afternoon of Thursday, September 5, Banks took to Instagram to share a now-deleted post paying tribute to Quan. In the caption of her post, she wrote, “All you wanted was to find happiness again… I always saw it in your face and heard it in your voice… But you had so much left to do…”
Banks continued her post by seemingly explaining that Quan had upcoming milestones such as his tour kick-off, his album, and his birthday on October 4.
“I’m just glad we were able to enjoy such peaceful and memorable moments while you were here man,” she continued. “Such a sweetheart! Rest in Paradise Quan…”
Furthermore, Banks’ now-deleted post featured footage of Quan planting kisses on her face while another slide showed him seemingly lying in her lap. A final post in Bank’s carousel seemingly showed a text she received from Quan where he confessed his interest in her.
Social Media Reacts & Akbar V Weighs In
Social media users reacted to Erica Bank’s tribute in The Shade Room’s comment section. To note, Quan shared two children with a woman named Amber Williams, although it remains unclear whether the pair were currently dating. More Details About The Rapper’s Passing & The Tragic 911 Call
As The Shade Room previously reported, Rich Homie Quan’s passing was revealed on Thursday, September 5. The rapper’s family exclusively confirmed the tragic news with TMZ.
According to the outlet, Williams, who the outlet names as Quan’s “girlfriend,” saw the rapper lying on the couch this morning. When she returned after dropping their son at school, she reportedly noticed he hadn’t moved.
Williams then called 911, reporting that he wasn’t breathing and he had no heartbeat.
It was later determined that Quan reportedly died at his home.
Five years after California’s worst modern maritime disaster, relatives of the Conception boat fire victims are angry about what they call the slow pace of accountability, while a top U.S. safety official says the Coast Guard continues to stall on reforms.
Thirty-four people died aboard the Conception on Labor Day in 2019, when a fire erupted on the main deck while dozens of divers slept in a windowless bunk room below. In the smoke and chaos, they desperately tried to find a route to safety on the 75-foot dive boat but could not escape.
Jennifer Homendy, chair of the National Transportation Safety Board, castigated the Coast Guard at a news conference Monday for failing to require safety management systems for small vessels.
“How many deaths have to occur? How many injuries have to occur? How many families have to stand up here at a press conference grieving for their loves ones before action is taken?” Homendy said as she stood near a plaque at Santa Barbara Harbor that commemorates the Conception victims. “And how many times does Congress, which did it again in 2021, [have to] tell the Coast Guard to take action?”
Jennifer Homendy, chair of the National Transportation Safety Board, speaks Monday at Santa Barbara Harbor while among family members of those whose died on the dive boat Conception five years ago.
(Richard Winton / Los Angeles Times)
Homendy, joined by victims’ relatives, said her agency has made recommendations dating back more than two decades for safety management systems — most recently after the Conception fire.
She sent a letter Monday to the Homeland Security secretary and head of the Coast Guard asking to implement change “with all possible haste.”
Coast Guard Vice Adm. Peter Gautier, in a July letter to the NTSB, wrote that it had been “dilgently working” on a notice of a proposed rule making with “all due haste” on safety management systems. But Homendy said that explanation is unacceptable “given the lengthy inaction.”
Homendy said a safety management system sets out common sense rules and procedures about what training must take place, what emergency drills must be done and how roving watches should be in place to detect fires. These were all massive failures five years ago, she said, when five crew members asleep in the wheelhouse on the top deck were jolted awake by shouts of “Fire! Fire!” shortly after 3 a.m.
“We’re gonna die,” one passenger was heard during a haunting, 24-second video recorded by passenger Patricia Ann Beitzinger, according to evidence presented at the the 2023 federal criminal trial of Conception Capt. Jerry Boylan.
The video shows the dark outlines of people trapped in the bunk room as the fire approaches. The voices are muffled and difficult to hear, but prosecutors supplied a transcript to jurors during Boylan’s trial: “There’s got to be a way out.”“There’s got to be more extinguishers.”
All 33 passengers and one crew member would die of smoke inhalation.
Inside the bunk room, victims were found with mismatched shoes, one clutched a phone and another, a flashlight. Two were interlocked so tightly they had to be pried apart. As the passengers fruitlessly tried to escape, Boylan and four crew members jumped from the top deck into the waters of Platts Harbor on Santa Cruz Island. Boylan, who had not ordered a roving night watch as people slept, was convicted in 2023 of seaman’s manslaughter and sentenced in May to four years in federal prison.

Investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives determined that the fire started in a plastic trash can on the main deck on what was to be the final day of a three-day dive trip.
At the time, such bins were forbidden in all vessels’ sleeping areas, and banned from all compartments on newer boats, but were allowed on old ones such as the Conception, records show.
But Homendy said Monday that although the fire may have been caused by cigarattes thrown in a trash can, “more than likely” it was lithium ion batteries from phones and photography that were being charged.
The families have complained for years about what they call foot-dragging by authorities. They also have expressed anger over Boylan remaining free while he appeals his conviction. “We have no rights, we are given no consideration,” said Kathleen McIlvain, who son Charlie McIlvain is among those who died on the Conception.
“It wasn’t an accident, it was a disaster waiting to happen,” said Vicki Moore, whose husband, Raymond “Scott” Chan, 59, and daughter Kendra Chan, 26, died. Speaking at the harbor Monday, she said that although reforms have been made, without the implementation of safety management systems the tragedy will repeat itself.
Meanwhile, lawsuits against the Conception’s owners, Truth Aquatics and its boss, Glen Fritzler, remain unresolved.
NTSB recommendations in the wake of the Conception tragedy for fire detection systems, proper dual escape routes, emergency escape drills and checks on night watches have been implemented. Congress mandated those provisions in December 2020 as part of the Elijah E. Cummings Coast Guard Authorization Act.
But Homendy said that safety gaps persist even with those reforms, and that the Coast Guard has yet to show how it is monitoring those changes.

The rear admiral of the Coast Guard said in a 2021 congressional hearing that in weighing new rules, it is required to consider the economic costs and benefits of implementation.
Homendy said she keeps hearing about the cost, but motioning to the grieving families, she added, “This is the cost.”
“I am begging the Coast Guard to take action,” she said. “If the companies aren’t going to do it, who’s there to protect safety?”

An NTSB investigation found that the Conception did not operate a roving watch, a failure that allowed the fire in the middle deck of to go undetected for up to half an hour. It did not determine a cause but blamed Truth Aquatics and Fritzler for a lax safety culture.
Prosecutors accused Boylan of a slipshod approach to training, leaving everyone on board responsible for their own safety. Boylan’s lawyer said the lack of a roving watch and the approach to safety training had been part of “the Fritzler way” for decades, referring to the boat’s owner.

Erica Mena Previously Came Under Fire For A Comment She Made Toward Spice
As The Shade Room previously reported, Mena came under heavy backlash in August 2023. At the time, a ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ episode was aired, which showed Mena referring to her castmate, Spice, as a “blue monkey” during a heated exchange.
In the weeks that followed, Spice spoke out about the altercation and let fans know that she wasn’t letting Mena’s “opinion” of her devalue her.
“…Someone’s opinion of me does not value who I am and not because someone thinks something of me, that doesn’t mean that’s who I am,” Spice explained during an interview with Forbes.
During the conversation, Spice also addressed Mena’s apparent diss of dark-skinned women.
“I’ve always reminded my melanated women how beautiful they are, to love themselves [for] who they are [so] someone can’t come and say a few words,” she said. “…That doesn’t define me. I know who I am.”
In September of that year, Mena publicly apologized for her comment about Spice, per The Shade Room. Additionally, she alleged that her words were not “racially driven.”
“I deeply regret my insensitive comment and want to humbly apologize to anybody I hurt or offended by my thoughtlessness,” she told TMZ at the time. “My choice of words was wrong, and I take full responsibility for what I said. I am committed to listening to the voices of those affected and will work toward making amends. As a woman of color and the mother of two black children, I want to make it clear that my use of that word was not in any way racially driven.”
A gun once registered to Christopher Dorner — the notorious former L.A. cop who killed four people including two law officers — was found in the L.A. Airbnb of a pair of alleged “crime tourists,” federal prosecutors say.
The two South American nationals are accused of stealing a $1-million watch at gunpoint last week on the patio of the Beverly Wilshire hotel.
Did they use Dorner’s gun to carry out the alleged crime?
Assistant U.S. Atty. Jena MacCabe would not confirm the weapon was used in the alleged robbery, KCAL reported, but an affidavit says it was the only weapon found in connection with the arrests.
“We’re still trying to figure it out,” MacCabe said.
Prosecutors say the suspects held up the victim in front of his wife and twin 5-year-old daughters at the high-end Beverly Hills hotel. One held a gun while the other took off the man’s luxury watch, a Patek Philippe, then fled in a car with a stolen plate, the affidavit says.
Street cameras near the Beverly Wilshire captured the Aug. 7 armed robbery of a man in front of his family.
(U.S. District Court)
Jamer Mauricio Sepulveda Salazar, 21, of Colombia, is charged with two felony counts related to the armed robbery. Nineteen-year-old Jesus Eduardo Padron Rojas, of Venezuela, is charged with felony conspiracy to commit robbery.
Sepulveda said the crew had been doing surveillance for two weeks in an effort to steal a Patek Phillipe watch, the complaint says, and both men admitted their involvement in stealing a $30,000 Rolex in Beverly Hills two days before the $1-million watch theft.
Investigators found a handgun in Padron’s pillowcase at the suspects’ Airbnb on Browning Boulevard in Los Angeles. The gun was registered to Dorner, a former officer who targeted LAPD officers who he felt had wronged him.
Over nine days in 2013, Dorner killed four people — two police officers, the daughter of a former LAPD captain and her fiancé — and injured three others. He died in a cabin in Big Bear that went up in flames after a shootout with authorities.
MacCabe said investigators were “trying to figure out how this gun from so long ago, somehow came into their possession and was tied up in this violent armed robbery series.”

Genre: Crime drama Run time: 1h 56m Director: Jeff Nichols Cast: Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, Tom Hardy
The Bikeriders follows a motorcycle club over the course of a decade, as they go from a simple gathering of enthusiasts to a hardened gang. Jodie Comer plays Kathy, a young woman who gets swept up in the biker gang world after meeting hotheaded Benny (Austin Butler).
The Bikeriders is a film of old-fashioned, simple pleasures: great tunes, perfect costumes, myth-making shots, and a cast of great character actors really going for it. (Including, but not limited to, Michael Shannon, West Side Story’s Mike Faist, Justified’s Damon Herriman, and a completely unrecognizable Norman Reedus as a shaggy Californian wildman biker.) It’s a film about looking at the gorgeous, unknowable people on the screen — and that one gorgeous, unknowable person in particular — just as Hardy’s character does at one point with Marlon Brando in The Wild One, and thinking: What would it be like to be them?
New to rent
Despicable Me 4
Where to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu
Image: Illumination
Genre: Comedy Run time: 1h 34m Directors: Chris Renaud Cast: Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Pierre Coffin
Formed supervillain-turned-secret agent Gru is back with an all-new adventure! Despicable Me 4 sees Gru relocate his family when his former rival Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) re-emerges seeking revenge. As Gru’s family attempt to adjust to their new home, Gru’s teenage neighbor attempts to follow in his villainous footsteps, while Gru’s minions decide to become superheroes. That’s a lot, I know!
Despicable Me 4 is full of good ideas, with lots of them specifically appealing to what people like about these movies: Minion antics, Gru’s villain-ness versus his normal family life, and over-the-top Big Bad Guy theatrics among them. But all these bits and pieces are jumbled together and not cohesive enough to make sense as a story. The movie is discordant, like a bunch of musicians playing unfamiliar instruments (or a bunch of — dare I say — Minions given instruments) and trying to make a coherent song. But amid that chaos, sometimes the music starts sounding good — a cool jazzy saxophone solo soars briefly above the cacophony. You just have to grit your teeth and ignore the clanging drums and out-of-tune oboes around it.
Dandelion
Where to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu
Image: IFC Films
Genre: Drama Run time: 1h 53m Director: Nicole Riegel Cast: KiKi Layne, Thomas Doherty, Melanie Nicholls-King
KiKi Layne (If Beale Street Could Talk) stars in this musical drama as Dandelion, a struggling singer-songwriter who travels the country performing gigs, all the while yearning for a career breakthrough she fears will never happen. After striking up a romance with Casey (Thomas Doherty), a fellow disgruntled musician, their love proves to be the inadvertent catalyst for Dandelion’s discovery of an authentic artistic voice all her own.
Widow Clicquot
Where to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu
Image: Vertical Entertainment
Genre: Drama Run time: 1h 30m Director: Thomas Napper Cast: Haley Bennett, Leo Suter, Natasha O’Keeffe
This period drama stars Haley Bennett (Swallow) as Barbe-Nicole Clicquot, the widow of an 18th century vigneron who becomes the head of their fledgling vineyard after his untimely passing. Weathering financial difficulty and political turmoil, Barbe-Nicole must struggle to make a name for herself and nurture the company to fruition.
