  • TikToks & Lip Locks: Mystery Woman Identified From Desmond Scott’s Alleged Spit-Swapping Shenanigans Amid Kristy Scott Divorce Filing

Whomst? Well, now we seemingly know because the TikToker my might move fast, but the internet moves even faster!

The ink was barely dry on Kristy Scott’s divorce filing when a video seemingly showed Desmond Scott popping out and packing on the PDA with a new woman two days later. Internet investigators have been speculating about who was straddling and smooching the social media star ever since.

    Source: Unique Nicole / Getty

TMZ reports sources close to the situation identified the blonde bombshell as Marissa Springer. The 24-year-old is a Houston-based model and student on her way to an MBA at UH Bauer. As BOSSIP previously reported, Desmond and Marissa were allegedly spotted getting hot and heavy in a booth of the Houston hotspot Sante. He has yet to comment on it, but his fans have had plenty to say.

The not-so-sneaky link raised questions about the timeline of the Scott’s 11-year marriage ending. In Kristy’s divorce documents, she claimed that Desmond’s infidelity ruined any chances of reconciliation for the estranged couple, who went from high school sweethearts to married with two children.

The next day, Desmond released a statement that admitted he “made choices that I am not proud of” after he requested a separation “towards the end of 2025.” That was only a few weeks ago so fans wondered if the woman from the make-out video was in the picture before the divorce filing.

Sources Say Marissa Springer Just Met Desmond Scott The Night Of The Video

The anonymous insiders claim that Marissa only met Desmond Sunday night through a mutual friend. She reportedly had no idea about his TikTok titan status and assumed he was single at the time.

The video was spicy for some strangers, but the sources claim the puckered up pair instantly hit it off shortly before the kiss. Once a good bit of liquor hit their systems, they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

With Marissa’s Bachelor’s degree in marketing, this business baddie is no stranger to going viral. However, she’s about to reach another level of social media fame after this spontaneous entanglement.

It’s unclear whether this was just one-time random run-in or if we’ll see her keep some couples content going with Desmond.

Meanwhile, Kristy revealed that she’s moving on with a new look, but not moving out of the massive and lavish home the former couple just built. “Same address,” she captioned the serious of stunning snaps in a skintight red dress and sleek bob. Fans joked that nothing shows a woman is over it like a haircut.

  • Trap Celina! Offset Caught Slipping & Snoring In Celina Powell’s Bed, GOAT Groupie Teases Tape With Messy Migos Menace

The Trap Celina chronicles continue with Offset caught on camera, laid up with Celina Powell after the final boss of Gold Diggers claimed she put him to sleep.

    Source: Paras Griffin/ Thaddeus McAddams

If this story sounds familiar, it could be because the WikiLeaks of sneaky links seemingly pulled the same routine on celebs like Akon, Snoop Dogg, Lil Meech, and Love Is Blind alum Clay Gravesdale. Or maybe it rings a bell because Celina already claimed she trapped a Cephus seed. She even alleged that the “Bodies” star paid $50,000 for an abortion. All that drama didn’t stop him from being the next clown in Celina’s circus.

On Friday, the infamous InstaBaddie posted a clip of herself between the sheets with Offset. By now, she’s a pro at catching snoozing celebs on camera and repeatedly zoomed in on his face to catch every low-down loc of his in 4K. Despite all of Celina’s clout-chasing shenanigans, Offset was too knocked out to notice. She really took him through there!

Rather than waiting to put Cardi B’s ex in the blender over another baby, she already had other plans to secure the bag before Offset even woke up. In the caption, she claimed the reckless rapper has a feature on another NSFW tape they made the night before.

“Made a tape last night & all u heard was him in the video lol offset you sleepy boy,” she wrote. It’s hard to tell if that means the Atlanta artist is behind the camera, talking in the background, or actually makes a cameo. For once, Celina leaves something to the imagination… unless you’re a paying customer, of course.

Several comments clocked that Offset was fresh off a pity party over Cardi moving on with her baller baby daddy, Stefon Diggs. In addition to taking shots at his ex and her next in his songs, several comments clocked Offset tried to tax Cardi for it in their divorce proceedings, despite his long history of cheating scandals.

“Ain’t he in court tryna get money from cardi cause he claim she with a new man?” One wrote laughing emojis. “How the jokes write themselves.”

“He’s out doing whatever with WHOEVER but mad Cardi gotta whole new family,” another noted, calling out Offset for “steady asking for ‘spousal support.’”

The last time Celina put Offset on blast, he was still with the “Pretty & Petty” rapper, who ran down the receipts to clear her man’s name. We know Cardi doesn’t let much slide and turned into an internet investigator about Celina’s flagrant fatherhood fallacies.

That was back in 2018, and Offset has to fight his battles solo these days. However, if that incriminating clip is any indication, he loves it there. Either way… Thots and prayers, Offset!

  • Revolutionary Rap: Nigerian Star Falz Has Kept Protest Music Alive

Artwork for The Feast, the latest release by Nigeria’s best known rapper, Falz. Bahd Guys Records

by Paul Onanuga, Federal University, Oye Ekiti

Nigerian rapper, actor and social media star Falz released his sixth studio album, The Feast, in 2025.

Few Nigerian popular musicians have shown as much versatility and staying power as the man behind the #ElloBae and #WehDoneSir social media trends. For over a decade now, Falz has been marrying musical skills and social activism with digital savvy and comedy.

His rise to global prominence was solidified with his 2018 song This is Nigeria. But it began in 2014 with Marry Me off his debut album Wazup Guy.

As a young artist known for his video skits, he created an online challenge ahead of releasing the song Ello Bae (Hello Babe). In it he tries to romance a woman who appreciates him and his ambition, but is looking for a man with money. It remains a common hashtag when TikTokers post about love and money.

In 2017 he released Wehdone Sir (Well Done, Sir), a witty takedown of people with fake glamour lifestyles. #WehDoneSir is still used on social media to satirise pretentious individuals.

Falz would become known for his unique blend of hip-hop and Afropop, but what really made him stand out was his skill at infusing humour into his socially conscious, often revolutionary, songs.

It’s often argued that Falz is a natural heir to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. He was the Nigerian music legend and activist who helped create the Afrobeat movement (a precursor to today’s Afrobeats).

Like Fela, Falz packs his music with playfulness and satire while also stirring public consciousness with activist lyrics. Both call for action against the oppressive political class. In 2020, when young Nigerians took to the streets to demand an end to police corruption, Fela and Falz were both part of the inventory of #EndSARS protest songs.

As a scholar of Nigerian hip-hop, I have published papers on Fela and Falz and how they have shaped protest music that responds to social challenges in Nigeria.

So, who is Falz, and how has he spread his message – and come to be the political voice of his generation, as Fela was to his?

    Who is Falz?

Falz (real name Folarin Falana) was born in 1990 in Mushin, Lagos. He is the son of a respected human rights lawyer and activist father, Femi Falana, and lawyer mother, Funmi Falana. In fact, his father was Fela’s lawyer, defending him against charges brought by the state.

    @falzthebahdguy

Which kind wahala be dis 😭♬ original sound – FalzTheBahdGuy

Falz also qualified as a lawyer, but chose instead to pursue his interests in music and acting. These multiple skills feed into his productions on diverse levels. Beyond his songs, he is also very active on Instagram and Tik-Tok, where he establishes trends, especially around his songs and films.

His character in Ello Bae, for instance, struggles with English, using big formal words in unexpected ways, finding comedy in his faux Yoruba inflections. It would be a trademark of the #ElloBaeChallenge and would enjoy renewed public attention when Falz was cast in the TV series Jenifa’s Diary playing a similar character.

In 2016, Falz won best new international act at the BET Awards in the US. Numerous other awards would follow. His albums have received commercial and critical success. His roles in movies have further solidified his status as a multitalented entertainer.

    Activism

Falz does not shy away from living the talk. He took part in the 2020 #EndSARS protests and his work repeatedly tries to steer the government towards addressing socio-economic challenges.

Soon after the protests, he released Moral Instruction. On the album, the track Johnny depicts the everyday experiences of Nigerians. This is Nigeria, a localised version of US rapper Childish Gambino’s This is America, depicts Nigeria as a country struggling with corruption, lawlessness and social injustice. A stark contrast to its potential. The video reflects a breakdown in law and order, corrupt officials, and the struggles of young people facing limited opportunities and resorting to crime.

Falz has used his platform as a celebrity and his background as a lawyer to call for social justice and for young people to make a difference.

    Fela and Falz

There have been a number of pretend heirs to Fela’s throne of musical consciousness. Many of these have either not lived up to the hype or have fizzled out.

However, many popular Nigerian artists leverage Fela’s ethos through sampling his beats and lyrics. This is evident in Falz’s musicography too.

My study on the lyrical and thematic connections between Fela and Falz songs compares a number of tracks. Fela’s No Agreement and Falz’s Talk, for example, both draw attention to social inequality and systemic challenges in Nigeria.

Fela’s song was produced in the context of a military regime while Falz’s was within a democratic dispensation. But both speak of a crisis of leadership in Nigeria, as is the case in many postcolonial societies. What particularly links Fela and Falz is that both are unrelenting in their revolutionary struggles and determination to ensure an equitable Nigerian society.

Religious leaders are not spared criticism. Echoing Fela’s Coffin for Head of State (1980), Falz’s Amen (2019) points to the deceptive practices and complicity of religious leaders in poor political leadership and endemic poverty. Both critique the double standards that have become normal in the country.

Falz’s Follow Follow (2019) addresses current realities in Nigerian society – a lack of personal conviction and independent thought and the mindless following of social media trends. Integrating lyrics from Fela’s Zombie (1976), the song is about asserting one’s identity. It also rehashes Fela’s Follow Follow, mocking those who allow themselves to be led blindly by others.

To make sure his advocacy resonates, Falz co-opts his listeners through a call-and-response strategy. A phrase is sung and the next phrase answers it. This way, along with catchy lyrics, the audience become active participants.

This also echoes the traditional Yoruba chant-and-refrain rendition used by musicians, poets and bards to engage their audience. Its possible nod to the indigenous is also at the heart of his faux Yoruba accent, a style that downplays his prestigious upbringing and connects him to ordinary people, much like Pidgin did for Fela.

But echoes of Fela don’t in any way take away from the creative force of Falz’s work. Rather they reinforce his critique of how the postcolonial Nigerian state has failed to live up to its promise.

    Into the future

While Fela was unrepentantly anticolonial, Falz is sublimely hybridised. His mixture of talents and views creates a pulsating pan-African consciousness that’s able to exist in a global contemporary world view.

His lyrics and videography are aimed at the masses – especially young people – who have the most to gain from positive social change. In this way Falz can be said to represent a generational conscience. He uses his empowering songs to motivate his fans to take their destinies in their own hands.

  • K.O. King! Anthony Joshua Breaks Jake Paul’s Jaw Down Like A Pound, Heavyweight’s Haymaker Pummels Paul Into Alabaster Abyss

If you’ve been waiting for Jake Paul to finally shut his mouth, it’s now wired shut after Anthony “AJ” Joshua dropped him like a bad habit with a “double broken jaw” for a knockout victory. Social media is in shambles over the infamous instigator’s winning streak finally coming to an end.

    Source: Leonardo Fernandez / Getty

The content creator-turned-sports spectacle could run around the ring at the Kaseya Center in Miami, but he couldn’t hide from the hands of the two-time heavyweight unified boxing champion. During the livestreamed Netflix match, Joshua politely let Jaw-jacking Jake run down the clock for the first four rounds, in an attempt to tire out the 6’6″ giant.

Instead of exhausting the British bruv, Paul hit the ground more than singles at a strip club with bizarre takedown attempts. He clearly didn’t want any real smoke, but ran out of gas after a few dozen laps around the ring. That might’ve worked with the retired stars he faced in the past, but AJ reminded the world he’s still very much in his prime.

Instead of throwing off AJ, who won 25 of his 28-4 record by knockout, these stunts only seemed to piss him off more. With a comeback after a 15-month hiatus, the Olympic gold medalist patiently took his time to wear down the social media sensation and drop him in the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds. Some believed it took too long, but AJ didn’t disappoint in delivering a knuckle sandwich that put Paul on his knees and sent him to the hospital.

While the former Disney star tried to keep his eye on the prize, his jaw ended up in three pieces and almost in the next zip code.

Even though AJ enjoyed a decisive comeback victory over the loudmouth menace, he was a class act about his opponent in the post-fight interview. He couldn’t deny that it was his fight to lose, but still gave Paul respect for (partially) standing against him in the ring and continuing to get back up.

“Jake [did] well while it lasted… I wish that I could have knocked him out at the start, but as we saw tonight, Jake has spirit. He has some heart. He tried his best, and I take my hat off to him because number one, a lot of fighters haven’t got in the ring with me, and Jake did,” AJ said.

“And secondly, even when he got knocked down, he kept on trying to get up, and I take my hat off to him. So, America, I think you have someone who could potentially, if he still has the heart for it, come back again, dust the dirt off his shoulder, and come again, and maybe sell out this center sometime in 2026,” he continued.

As for the unbothered underdog, he still had plenty to say on social media. He took to X, formerly Twitter to confirm that his jaw is broken in two places and posted the X-ray evidence, as if the fight photos weren’t proof enough.

“Double broken jaw. Give me Canelo in 10 days,” Paul wrote.

Welp, his face may not be intact, but at least his sense of humor still is. And part of Paul not hurting might be his pockets since he’s a cofounder of MVP, the promoter for the event.

Whether viewers love Jake Paul or love to hate him, this viral fight still makes him a winner of the night (outside the ring). His company, Most Valuable Promotions, “set a new record as the highest-grossing boxing gate in history of the Kaseya Center,” according to Variety. Money isn’t everything, but it should ease some of the pain when he’s sipping his NYE champagne toast through a straw.

And for those who accuse Paul of everything from disrespecting the sport of boxing and its greatest legends to rigging the fights in his undefeated record, this knockout is a priceless early Christmas gift.

What do you think of the Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul fight?
