Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna to soon start filming their period drama Chhaava

Actor Vicky Kaushal, who starred in the movie Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, will be collaborating again with director Laxman Utekar. Utekar is working on a historical drama about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, called Chhaava. The movie boasts a talented cast, with Kaushal playing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale. The film also highlights the significant character of Aurangzeb. Recent reports suggest that filming for the movie will begin soon.

According to a report by a leading entertainment portal, Chhaava, helmed by Laxman Utekar and starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, is set to commence shooting in Mumbai on October 16th. The initial schedule is planned for one week.

Earlier, as per our report, a source revealed that Anil Kapoor is also roped in to play an important role in the film.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vicky Kaushal is currently geared up for the release of his upcoming biopic Sam Bahadur, helmed by Meghna Gulzar. The film also features Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh. It will released on December 1. Vicky Kaushal will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu. He also has Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam.

Rashmika Mandanna will next be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. It is set to hit cinemas on December 1.

Jawan 3rd Friday Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer continues to remain choice in India; Netts Rs 6.75 crores

Shah Rukh Khan led Jawan, directed by Atlee Kumar and co-starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt and others, remained the first choice at the Indian box office even on its third Friday, despite the release of the new Vicky Kaushal film The Great Indian Family, as it collected Rs 6.75 crores nett in Hindi and Rs 7.25 crores including regional dubs. The numbers are less than 10 percent down from Thursday, which goes to show the level to which the film has been accepted theatrically. Going by the advances for Saturday and Sunday, it is pretty obvious that the SRK-Atlee film will have yet another terrific weekend theatrically. As on its third Friday, Jawan has netted Rs 469 crores for its Hindi version and Rs 522 crores including dubbed versions, in India.

Jawan Remains The Most Preferred Indian Movie Choice For Its Third Consecutive Friday At The Box Office

Jawan will be crossing Pathaan‘s India nett total (Rs 531 crores nett) to emerge as the highest grossing Hindi origin film in India today, that is on its third Saturday. After the weekend, it will have collected around Rs 495 crores for its Hindi version and will trail only Baahubali 2, Pathaan and Gadar 2 to emerge as the highest grossing Indian film for the Hindi version. Shah Rukh Khan has marked an insane return to theatres with two historic blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan, and his most awaited film, Dunki, is still to release in Christmas this year.

Salman Khan to host the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 with Maharashtra Tourism

It’s that time of the year again when the biggest night of entertainment is all set to take place. The 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 with Maharashtra Tourism promises to be a star-studded celebration of the best Hindi cinema had to offer in 2022.

Salman Khan will host the Filmfare Awards for the very first time, alongside co-host Maniesh Paul. A celebration acknowledging artistic and technical brilliance awaits you on April 27, 2023, at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai.

A press conference was held yesterday to announce the event. Present at the press conference last evening were dignitaries like Mr. Deepak Lamba, CEO – Worldwide Media Ltd, Mr. Tarun Garg, COO – Hyundai Motor, Mr. Jitesh Pillaai, Editor Filmfare, and Salman Khan.

They lit the auspicious lamp to mark the start of this magnificent journey. The esteemed panel shared a glimpse of what to expect from the spectacular night. Vicky Kaushal, Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez are ready to set the stage on fire with their breathtaking performances. This glamorous extravaganza will be broadcast on Colors the next day, April 28, 2023, at 9 PM. Hyundai Motor India, as the Title Partner, will be an integral part of the celebration, along with Maharashtra Tourism as the Destination Partner. Vicky Kaushal, who is set to play the titular character Sam Bahadur aka Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the film, looked dapper as always in a black hooded pullover. The talented actor completed his look with a pair of blue distressed trousers and a black cap. Sanya Malhotra, who is set to play Sam Manekshaw’s wife Silloo Manekshaw, looked gorgeous in a white ruffled off-shoulder dress, which she paired with a messy bun, minimal accessories, dewy makeup, and a pair of heels.

Fatima Sana Shaikh, who is playing the role of Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India, looked glamorous in a black and white striped, off-shoulder dress. You always feel you’re reaching there but you’re never quite there. So, I don’t think I’m a perfect husband. I don’t think I’m perfect in any way, but I try to be the best version of a husband I can be at any given moment. Of course, tomorrow I will be better than I was yesterday but I always try to do the best that I can,” said Vicky. Talking further about living with Katrina, Vicky said, “You learn a lot when you start living with a person and when you have a companion. I think in the past year, I’ve learned so much more than the years I was single because it’s just beautiful how you start understanding another person’s perspective and that makes you truly grow as a person.”

The National award-winning actor will be next seen in the upcoming untitled romantic comedy, which is directed by Laxman Utekar. The project, which narrates a unique love story in the backdrop of a small town, marks Vicky Kaushal’s first onscreen collaboration with Sara Ali Khan. He is also reuniting with the Raazi director Meghna Gulzar for the upcoming autobiographical drama Sam Bahadur, which features him in the titular role. Vicky Kaushal’s other projects include the superhero flick The Immortal Ashwatthma, and the Shah Rukh Khan-Rajkumar Hirani project Dunki.
