Akshay took to his Instagram story and wrote, “Introduced to him as my fan a decade ago… over the years have seen him work hard and make his mark in the industry. And now finally launching his own production house, proud of you @varung0707. My best and MAX wishes to you for @studiosatmax. Jai Mahakaal.” Varun Dhawan too shared a sweet note on his story. Janhvi Kapoor was subjected to a lot of judgment when she made her Bollywood debut with the film Dhadak in 2018. In a conversation with Kusha Kapila on Swipe Ride, Janhvi spilled the beans about her first boyfriend and how her relationship with him ended because of her parents.
She said, “My first ever serious boyfriend was that same ‘chup-chup ke milenge’ (meet in hiding) ‘jhooth bol bol ke’ (we will lie about each other) all of that and there was a thrill in that but unfortunately, that relationship ended because I had to lie so much and mom and dad were like ‘No you will never have a boyfriend’ and they were very conservative. And that’s when I realized having your parents’ approval and having transparency with them makes everything so easy. It makes you feel so much more confident about your decisions. And having them to share things with and vice-versa, it’s just a very wholesome experience.”

She further added that your decisions also change when you are open with your parents. “If you feel confident about like ya, I am seeing this person, I can get him home, like my father is okay with it and he’s happy with my choice, it makes you believe in the relationship more. Okay, I must be doing something right.”
Furthermore, she also admitted that Bollywood has influenced her expectations of love a lot. “There’s a lot of fun in staring out of the window, watching the raindrops fall.”

Today, the trailer of Bawaal was released in the UAE. It is the first movie of Nitesh Tiwari and Varun Dhawan. As we know, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Tiwari joined hands for the 2019 blockbuster Chhichhore which also won the National Award. At the trailer launch of Bawaal, Janhvi Kapoor said, “I was pinching myself every day because it was such a big opportunity for me to work with everyone. I tried really hard to convince them to take me in the film. I chased them and I stalked Nitesh sir and Sajid (Nadiadwala; producer) sir quite a bit (laughs).” The actress said she troubled them a lot. According to Bollywood Hungama reports, Vikram Vedha and Bhediya will soon release on OTT but on a new platform. These films will stream on a new Jio App that is yet to be launched. Not just Hrithik Roshan and Varun Dhawan’s highly awaited movies will release on the said app but other several movies will also be streamed. According to the plan every week there will be a premiere, and sometimes that would be a theatrical release while some films will have a direct OTT release on the platform. Talking about movies, Vikram Vedha is a remake of Tamil classic movie of the same name. Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan replaced Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan from the original. The director duo Pushkar Gayathri helmed both versions and received praise for their amazing work in Tamil and Hindi movies. The Hindi version also stars Radhika Apte and Rohit Saraf in lead roles.
On the other hand, Bhediya is a part of Dinesh Vijan‘s horror comedy cinematic universe. After Stree, Bhediya is about a man turning a werewolf featuring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles. It is directed by Amar Kaushik under the banners of Maddock Films.

Shah Rukh Khan ditches paparazzi

On the work front, after Love Per Square Foot, Amritpal has collaborated with Vicky yet again for a yet-to-titled film. It is directed by Anand Tiwari and co-produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. This is the first time that Kaushal and Dimri will be collaborating on a film.

Varun Dhawan points out about the dearth of good original content in the Indian cinema
On Friday, several actors and filmmakers including Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, Pooja Hegde, Anurag Kashyap, Karthik Sivakumar, Srinidhi Shetty, Dulquer Salmaan, and more gathered under one roof for a round table discussion hosted by Galatta Plus.
Speaking on the platform, Varun Dhawan expressed shared why so many films in the regional cinema, barring a few like KGF: Chapter 2 or Kantara, are not performing well. Further, Varun Dhawan mentioned whether remakes of films are performing well at the box office or not.
Dhawan said, “I feel that the narrative which is now there right now….I hate using the word regional cinema,,,whether it is Kannada cinema, Telugu cinema, or Tamil cinema. ….these industries are now seeing so much of limelight.”
“I think it is wrong to say this (that remakes are not performing well) because some of the biggest hits in Hindi (cinema), came ages ago. When my dad was making films in the 90s….all the stories were almost remakes of either Tamil or Telugu films. I mean, we are speaking about it now. But these remakes have always been a hit. Be it Ghajini or films from Malayam cinema ….where is the writing coming from? We are borrowing (stories). We are taking the stories from there.”
“So, what is happening in Hindi cinema right now is that there is a dearth of original stories. There is a dearth of good original stories. We have not empowered our writers and backed them to make original content,” he said.
