    In a recent post on social media, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela announced the birth of their twin babies. The actor and his entrepreneur wife are now proud parents to a baby boy and a baby girl.

    Sharing the update, Chiranjeevi wrote, “With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela have been blessed with twins – a baby boy and a baby girl.”

    “Both the babies and the mother are healthy and doing well. Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents. We sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, love, blessings and good wishes. – Chiranjeevi & Surekha,” the actor added.

    Earlier, the couple welcomed their first child, Klin Kaara Konidela, on June 20, 2023. Later, on October 23, 2025, Ram Charan and Upasana officially confirmed that they were expecting again, marking another milestone in their growing family.

    The update was shared through a video during their Diwali celebrations at home. As the couple announced the happy news, several celebrities extended their congratulatory messages as they prepared to become parents once again.

    Initially, Upasana’s mother, Shobana Kamineni, confirmed that the couple was expecting twins. Now, the couple are proud parents to two daughters and a son.

    Ram Charan’s next movie

    Ram Charan will next be seen in the lead role in Peddi, a sports action drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film is set against a rural village backdrop, with a cricket tournament at its core.

    The movie features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, marking her second venture into Telugu cinema after Devara: Part 1. The cast also includes Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu, Jagapathi Babu, and several others in key roles.

    The music and background score are composed by AR Rahman. The first single, Chikiri Chikiri, was released earlier in 2025. The film is slated for release on March 27, 2026.

    Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela’s life will soon be filled with double the joy. The Tollywood power couple is counting the days before they welcome their first child into the world. Reports suggest that Upasana’s delivery date is due between June 16 to June 22. As the Konidela family gears up to welcome the little new member, Upasana has made another revelation. Presently, Ram Charan and Upasana are living away from their family. But before their baby’s arrival, the couple has decided to move back in with Ram’s parents.

    In an interview with ETimes, Upasana revealed that, unlike couples who choose to move out from their family, while expecting a baby, she and Ram Charan are moving in with Ram’s family. Citing the reason for the same, the mom-to-be said, that they wished their child to grow up with grandparents, receiving an abundance of love and attention from them.

    Upasana Konidela to move in with Ram’s parents

    “A lot of couples move out when they have kids, but we are doing just the opposite. We are living by ourselves now, but we are going to move back with Ram’s parents,” said Upasana. She further added that when she and Ram were young, both grew up under their grandparents’ care. They played a vital role in their upbringing. Realising the sheer bliss of living with grandparents, Ram Charan and Upasana did not want their little one to get deprived of that “joy.”

    “So, we have taken a conscious call to move back with his parents and raise the child together,” explained Upasana. She continued that since she and her husband both were “working professionals,” having an extra pair of hands for support was important to provide their little one with a better upbringing.

    Upasana Konidela on Ram Charan being her “go-to man”

    In the same interaction, Upasana also heaped praise on Ram, calling him, her “go-to man. ” Whenever she feels anxious or nervous about having a baby, it was Ram that she turns to, who handles the situation calmly. “I am sure Ram will take an active part in parenting,” shared a confident Upasana.

    Ram Charan tied the nuptial knot with Upasana on June 14, 2012. They will be entering parenthood for the first time after almost a decade. Earlier, Upasana revealed that she was glad to have a baby at the “right time”, not bound by societal pressures.

Upasana mentioned that despite a lot of pressure from family and society, she and Ram Charan didn’t let it affect them and felt proud that they decided to have a baby when they wanted to. She said, “I am very, very excited and also very proud that I chose to become a mother when we wanted to, not when society wanted to. So, ten years after our marriage, we have taken a call to have a kid now and I think it’s the best time because both of us are booming, both of us are financially secure and we can take care of our kids by ourselves.”

    Further, in the same conversation, Upasana stated, “It was our mutual decision. As a couple, we didn’t let pressure hit us, whether it is from the society outside, our family or outsiders. Which says a lot about our relationship and how we are going to bring up our child as well.”

    The lovely mommy-to-be flaunted her baby bump and looked radiant with the pregnancy glow. She wore a white lace maxi dress and kept her look effortless with light waves in her hair.

    The entrepreneur, who is entering motherhood, recently sought blessings from the main women in her life, including her mother Shobana Kamineni, her grandmothers, and her aunts. Upasana, who shared some lovely pictures with the main women in her life, also stated that she missed her ‘Athama’ (mother-in-law) Surekha Konidela, on the special occasion. “Entering motherhood with the blessings of the most important women in my life. Missing athama,” reads the star wife’s Instagram post. In the pictures, Upasana looks beautiful in the peacock blue Raw Mango lehenga, which she paired with diamond Polki jewellery.

    Ram Charan and Upasana’s love story

    The young power couple of Telugu cinema met each other during their school days in Chennai and fell in love much later. Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni got engaged in December 2011 after a few years of courtship. The couple tied the knot in a grand traditional wedding ceremony which was held in Temple Tress Farm House in Hyderabad, in June 2012. 

    Upasana and Ram Charan’s careers

    When it comes to her professional life, Upasana Kamineni is a highly popular businesswoman. She is the Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals and Managing Director of Family Health Plan Insurance TPA LTD. Ram Charan, on other hand, will be next seen in the upcoming S Shankar directorial, which has been tentatively titled RC 15. He is also expected to reunite with SS Rajamouli for the sequel to RRR, which is expected to go on floors by 2025.
