Spanning over 6,000 sq. ft. across three floors, the modern store is located in Jayanagar, one of India’s largest residential hubs with an affluent mixed residential and commercial community. U.S. Polo Assn. continues to transform the retail landscape for the brand in India, as it grows its position and targets $1 billion in sales in the country alone in the coming years.

    An Authentic Connection

With an authentic connection to the sport of polo, the new retail space boasts modern decor and sport-inspired accessories that take shoppers through the brand story to enhance the consumer shopping experience. The store highlights the sporty elements of the brand while showcasing elements of fashion and style and keeping U.S. Polo Assn. product the core focus. There is also the well-recognized “polo shirt wall” that embodies the spirit of the brand’s classic and timeless polo shirt.

“An important part of the brand’s growth strategy is about omnichannel marketing and engaging the customer where they want to be,” said J. Michael Prince, President and CEO of USPA Global, the company that manages and markets the U.S. Polo Assn. brand. “By focusing on brick-and-mortar global flagship stores like this one in Bengaluru that is very special, U.S. Polo Assn. fans can experience the brand at home through our digital site or in-store, all with a great experience, beautiful sport and fashion imagery, as well as authentic storytelling.”

    Iconic Store

The U.S. Polo Assn. store at Jayanagar also marks a very special milestone, as the first store in India to launch the new Spring-Summer ’24 Womenswear Collection, which was previously only available online. This global flagship is also the first location to house the entire range of product categories that the brand has to offer including USPA Mainline, USPA Sport, USPA Denim & Co., womenswear, footwear, kidswear, accessories, and innerwear. Classic polo shirts, oxfords, denim, sweaters, jackets, and t-shirts are just a few of the timeless favorites that are included in the featured collection.

“Our flagship store at Jayanagar isn’t just a brick-and-mortar expansion, it’s a statement and a one-of-a-kind experience for Bengaluru customers, speaking volumes about the prowess of U.S. Polo Assn., a brand as legendary as the sport itself,” said Amitabh Suri, CEO, U.S. Polo Assn. India. “Bengaluru has been a fast-growing market for USPA over the past few years, making it the perfect choice to open our largest flagship store. And in our commitment to Indian fans, we are focusing on the ever-evolving preferences of Indian consumers.”

4ocean and U.S. Polo Assn. Renew Global Ocean-Positive Sustainability Partnership Goal to Remove 150,000 Pounds of Trash from World’s Oceans

4ocean, a purpose-driven B Corp with a mission to end the ocean plastic crisis, in partnership with U.S. Polo Assn., the official brand of the United States Polo Association (USPA), are pleased to announce the extension of their partnership. The two entities have committed to removing 150,000 pounds of trash from the world’s oceans through the 4ocean Pound+ Services, now through 2024.

4ocean and U.S. Polo Assn.’s partnership began in early 2021 and successfully led to the removal of 60,000 pounds of plastic from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines. The two organizations worked together during that time towards ocean-positive sustainability with the help of 88 crew members and seven ocean vessels, with most of the waste being pulled in Indonesia across six specific beaches. This year’s goal more than doubles the previous year’s accomplishment.

“I’m stoked about the extension of our partnership with U.S. Polo Assn. and their commitment to increasing the amount of trash and plastic they pull,” said Alex Schulze, co-founder of 4ocean. “It’s inspiring to see a company take such a proactive approach to sustainability that will have a measurable impact on the ocean. U.S. Polo Assn. committing to 2.5 times the amount of trash and plastic they pulled last year is a bold move, and I’m excited to see the results of this initiative.”

Schulze added, “We are proud to be part of this effort and look forward to continuing our collaboration with U.S. Polo Assn. and other partners to make a positive impact on our ocean.”

This meaningful partnership is a component of U.S. Polo Assn.’s overarching sustainability initiative USPA Life, which works towards improving the impact of our business on the environment. The USPA Life initiative also offers a global and growing selection of apparel, footwear, and accessories with sustainable attributes.

“U.S. Polo Assn. has been taking a global and holistic approach to our long-term sustainability journey with initiatives like our 4ocean partnership and USPA Life,” said J. Michael Prince, President and CEO of USPA Global Licensing Inc., which manages the multi-billion-dollar U.S. Polo Assn. brand. “We have been working diligently to improve our global footprint through products that are better for the environment and through partnerships with organizations like 4ocean that share our mission and vision for a sustainable future.”

4ocean was the Official Sustainability Partner of the U.S. Open Polo Championship Final, collecting plastic and trash from the prestigious and sold-out event in April at the USPA National Polo Center. 4ocean also had a series of commercial spots run during the U.S. Open Polo Championship Final on multiple ESPN platforms, bringing awareness to millions of consumers and sports fans. • U.S. Polo Assn. Outfits USA Team in Prestigious Westchester Cup, Airing on ESPN Platforms

U.S. Polo Assn. Outfits USA Team in Prestigious Westchester Cup, Airing on ESPN Platforms

U.S. Polo Assn., the official brand of the United States Polo Association (USPA), is the Official Apparel Sponsor for the USA Team in the biggest rivalry in the sport of polo, the Westchester Cup. Held at the USPA National Polo Center (NPC) – Wellington, Florida, on Friday, March 31, 2023, the United States will host England in this prestigious international competition.

The illustrious Westchester Cup has a 137-year-old history where the United States and England have challenged each other a total of 19 times, with the last match played in 2019. Luxury designer Tiffany & Co. created the coveted, sterling silver Westchester Cup trophy for the first game dating back to 1886, and the trophy is currently held by the USA Team.

U.S. Polo Assn. is proudly outfitting the USA Team in the Westchester Cup with custom-designed performance jerseys and USPA Pro apparel. Official event merchandise will be available at the Retail Shop at NPC, open Friday, March 31 from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. ET next to the 7th Chukker, as well as online at USPAPro.com. Official Westchester Cup merchandise includes event-branded tee shirts, hoodies, and caps.

“Bringing the Westchester Cup rivalry, with its great athleticism and sportsmanship, back to United States soil for the first time since 2019 is going to be a memorable experience for players and sports fans alike,” said Stewart Armstrong, Chairman of the USPA. “We’ve seen so much growth across the sport of polo in recent years so it’s thrilling to have this highly competitive and exciting event at the new NPC, plus airing on ESPN’s platforms for the first time in polo’s history.”

Played on the U.S. Polo Assn. Stadium Field 1, fans can watch the competition up close from either the stadium, private boxes, field side tailgates or reservable hospitality tents. For those unable to attend, ESPN allows sports fans to tune into the action of the 2023 Westchester Cup for the first time ever on ESPN platforms. Check your local listings or click HERE for air times and channels.

A victory in 2019 marked the first win for the United States after four consecutive losses to England. The USA Team has emerged victorious on 12 occasions in the competition’s history and is currently defending the winning title in the upcoming 2023 Westchester Cup.

“Hosting the Westchester Cup, one of the biggest rivalries in polo, on American soil and connecting with sports fans around the globe through our relationship with ESPN is a major highlight of the 2023 Polo Season here in the United States,” said J. Michael Prince, President and CEO of USPA Global Licensing, the company that oversees the U.S. Polo Assn. brand. “We are proud to support the USA Team as the Official Team Sponsor and root them on for yet another victory in 2023.”

The USA Team boasts accomplished players, each with a decorated career in the sport of polo. Team Captain and newly inducted Polo Hall of Famer Jeff Hall (7), returns to compete in the Westchester Cup, alongside Jared Zenni (7), who is the only U.S. player returning from the victorious 2019 USA Team. The two remaining players, Nico Escobar (6), who just last year helped USA Team win Silver in the XII FIP World Polo Championship, and Matt Coppola (5), are both making their Westchester Cup debut. The England Team consists of Team Captain Tomas Beresford (7), James Beim (6), Max Charlton (6), and Mark Tomlinson (6).

“It’s an honor to be competing for the third time in the Westchester Cup alongside other high-goal polo players and teammates,” said Jeff Hall. “Together with my team, we are honored to represent the United States in such a historic and patriotic game and hope to again bring home a USA victory.”

Global Polo Entertainment Signs Agreement With ESPN Sur and Star+ in Latin America

    Press Release

    Dec 21, 2021

Global Polo Entertainment, the entertainment and media subsidiary of USPA Global Licensing Inc. (USPAGL), has announced a blockbuster deal with ESPN LATAM and Star+. USPAGL, who also oversees U.S. Polo Assn., the official brand of the United States Polo Association (USPA), continues to find ways to connect new audiences with this great sport and its authentic brand. This agreement will bring to South America the finals of the three tournaments that make up the Gauntlet of Polo and, for the first time in the history of the sport, ESPN Sur will also televise the U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship, the premier women’s polo tournament.

“This partnership is important as we endeavor to grow the exposure to our top USPA tournaments worldwide. Argentina and South America were the next big steps for the visibility and growth necessary to attract new fans and viewers to the sport of polo,” said J. Michael Prince, President and CEO of USPA Global Licensing, which manages the global, multi-billion-dollar U.S. Polo Assn. brand. “As a sport-inspired brand in over 194 countries this was a natural fit for our lifestyle and sports content.”

The official broadcasts that will air live on Star+ in Latin America will include the C.V. Whitney Cup, USPA Gold Cup, the U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship along with the most prestigious polo tournament in the United States, the U.S. Open Polo Championship.
