  • Twiztid celebrates 25 years of ‘Freek Show’ at annual Fright Fest in Detroit – Detroit Metro Times

    Celebrating not only 25 years of their sophomore album Freek Show but the release of their re-recording of the album, Twiztid hit the stage at Saint Andrew’s Hall on Thursday night. Fright Fest, an annual  juggalo tradition on Devil’s Night, saw Twiztid kick off the second leg of the Freek Show tour alongside label mates ABK, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, and The ROC. The tour continues down across the east coast.

  • Twiztid talk 25th anniversary of ‘Freek Show,’ Fright Fest, Astronomicon, and more – Detroit Metro Times

    Detroit hip-hop horrorcore duo Twiztid is kicking off the second leg of its Freek Show tour at Saint Andrew’s Hall on Devil’s Night with their special annual show, Fright Fest. The tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of their sophomore album Freek Show, takes them across the east coast through mid-November. Post-tour, the duo are prepping for Astronomicon 9, their family-friendly pop-culture convention. This year the con returns to the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest on April 10-12.     Video: Twiztid’s Paul ‘Monoxide’ Methric talks Astronomicon 7

    Astronomicon is back. Hosted by Detroit hip-hop horrorcore duo Twiztid, the pop culture convention returns to Livonia’s Burton Manor to celebrate its 7th year. This year’s event will be headlined by Michael Rooker of Guardians of the Galaxy and The Walking Dead fame, and will feature many other special celebrity guests, including voice actors Billy West (Futurama) and Rodger Bumpass (SpongeBob SquarePants), Power Rangers stars David Yost and Walter E. Jones, wrestlers Mick Foley and Kurt Angle, and many more. The convention will also host cosplay contests, concerts featuring the Majik Ninja Entertainment roster, vendors, and other events.

    We sat down with Paul “Monoxide” Methric to talk about the convention, touring, his solo album, and more. (Note: Both Skeet and Tony Todd have dropped out.)
