If you’ve got young kids in your house and some variation of the Disney Channel or Disney+ on your TV, you definitely know Vampirina, the sweet little animated vampire whose family moves from Transylvania to Pennsylvania, where she tries to fit in with the locals. Created by Chris Nee, and made by some of the same artists behind Disney’s Doc McStuffins, Vampirina has been a mainstay of Disney Junior programming for years; Disney produced 75 episodes of the show from 2017 to 2021.
That doesn’t feel like that long ago to me but apparently it was — because now the Vampirina character (who I would have assumed stayed young forever because of the whole vampire thing, but clearly not) is headlining her own live-action show as a teenager. On Vampirina: Teenage Vampire, the title character, now played by Kenzi Richardson is a “tween” and she leaves her family behind to attend a “performing arts boarding school.”
I guess those old school Vampirina fans have gotten a little older and you need to make something to appeal to their lingering positive feelings about watching the old cartoon. (Can 12 year old experience nostalgia? “Man, I remember when I was four and a half. Vampirina was just the best…)

“Vampirina: Teenage Vampire” tells the story of a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Vampirina, or “Vee,” is an already beloved character from the popular book saga and the record-breaking Disney Jr. series. “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire” is the first live-action portrayal.
Vamprina: Teenage Vampire premieres on Disney Channel on September 12 and then gets added to the Disney+ library on October 15. Time marches on for all of us — even the vampires.

The actress’ son, Ayaan Lall, had appeared on the show alongside host Salman Khan to reveal her journey. Ayaan’s arrival and what he narrated came as a huge surprise for the fans. For the unversed, Kunickaa was being treated unfairly by a few contestants. Besides defending her, Ayaan also talked about her emotional struggles, suffering, and what she had to go through. As he revealed, Ayaan Lall cried, Kunickaa Sadanand couldn’t hold back her tears and Salman Khan too had moist eyes.

Farrhana shockingly insulted her and called her “worth Rs 2 rupees.” Farrhana also said that Kunickaa’s children should be ashamed of her participation on national television.

The art of the great miniseries has been perfected by streaming television, with every app releasing a few every month in a format perfect for binge watching. It’s a great way to make must-see TV: the short-form nature of the miniseries is great for casting the type of A-list talent whose schedule usually only allows for movies, and the structure works for adapting well-known books or expanding the plot of an old movie out to eight to ten episodes.
Sometimes these shows are so well loved they get another season order, transforming from a miniseries into a regular old TV show. (The White Lotus is probably the most famous example of this.) Usually, though, a miniseries stays a miniseries, content to spin a yarn from beginning to end in a sensible one season’s length of time.
While miniseries are everywhere these days, they’re mainly the purview of the streaming apps and premium channels, and over the decades HBO remains one of the best places to find high quality TV. As it’s been around for decades, so many of its projects have come and gone, even the somewhat popular ones, leaving the cultural consciousness and our fragile human memories as soon as they arrive.
That’s why we’re taking the time to remind you of some of the best ones you may have watched, loved, and promptly forgotten about—if you even knew to watch them at all. If you’re looking for a binge that won’t take you three years to finish, these are the HBO miniseries worth checking out.

We loved these miniseries when they came out, but now barely anyone talks about them.
You ain’t slick, Superman! David Corenswet is fueling rampant fan rumors that the Man of Steel might make a cameo appearance in PeacemakerSeason 2.
Fans have been speculating for weeks about a potential Superman appearance in Peacemaker, which began airing its second season on HBO Max on August 21.
On Friday morning (September 5), Corenswet shared a photo of him and Peacemaker star John Cena on set of the streaming series, with both actors in costume as their respective DC characters.
The photo sees Corenswet in his Superman suit, while a bloodied Cena poses for the camera in a floral button-up shirt.
The Superman star’s cryptic post, which was uploaded with no caption or context, received an even more cryptic response from the official DC Instagram account, who simply commented under the photo with a very telling pair of peeking eye emojis. We see you, DC!
Now fans are wondering if this means Superman will fly in for an appearance in an upcoming episode of Peacemaker.
Corenswet’s photo is timestamped with July 23, 2024, which means the picture was taken about a week before Superman wrapped principal photography. That said, it’s possible the two DC Universe stars were simply filming their respective stories on the same day at the same studio, and made time to take a quick selfie together.
However, in August, during the rollout for Peacemaker Season 2, showrunner and DC Studios co-head James Gunn teased some “major twists and turns” to come in the forthcoming final three episodes of the show’s second season.
Gunn also recently confirmed that Season 2 “directly” sets up the upcoming and newly announced Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 9, 2027.
He made the revelation while responding to a fan’s comment under his Instagram post calling Peacemaker Season 2 the “Man of Tomorrow prequel.”
Cena’s Peacemaker makes a quick but memorable cameo in 2025’s Superman, which was released on July 11. The violent vigilante briefly appears during a news segment during which he trash-talks the superhero. Within the next few weeks we’ll find out if Corenswet returns the favor.

Marvel and DC may be the Goliaths of the superhero sub-genre, but these movies prove greatness exists outside of those two comic book giants.
If you’re still holding onto that cable package you might be a little confused scrolling through the HBO channels today. A whole bunch of the ones you’re used to seeing are getting a facelift, complete with new names.
Here are the new names and their former identities in parenthesis

The company also rebranded the Cinemax family of channels. Those news names are

According to a press release, HBO made the move “to better reflect the respective content offerings” of each of these channels.
The HBO 2 channel premiered in 1991 and apart from a period where it was rebranded “HBO Plus“ in the late ’90s, it’s remained that way for more than 30 years. HBO Signature also launched the same year. HBO Zone came on the air in 1999.
If you are an HBO Max subscriber who also watches live HBO programing through their app, you will also see these new names reflected in the “Channels” section as well. I know change can be scary but eventually we’ll all come to accept HBO Hits as an acceptable replacement for HBO2.
Now if they’ll only bring back these opening credits, which made every movie played on HBO feel like the most epic motion picture in history.

It’s still a few years off, but the Blueymovie now has an official release date. The movie will bow in theaters in the summer of 2027.
This will be the first feature based on the phenomenally popular kids animated series from Australia. The TV series, about a lovable family of blue heelers, premiered in 2018 and has quickly become one of the most valuable shows in Disney’s portfolio. If you visit the kids toy aisle of any department store, it’s pretty much all Bluey stuff — something that will only get more pervasive when the film premieres.
The Bluey movie is written and directed by the TV series’ creator, Joe Brumm. The official press release for the film from Disney notes that it “features returning voice talent Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack as Mum (Chilli) and Dad (Bandit).”
Any parent will tell you Bluey with its simple stories and wholesome tales of childhood is the rare show for kids that’s actually pretty enjoyable for adults as well. But Bluey episodes are short; forget half-hours. Each installment runs just seven minutes. So blowing that up to at least 10 times that length will be an interesting test for the material.
At the end of Bluey’s third season, the show did release a special episode, “The Sign,” about Bluey’s family contemplating selling their house, which ran 28 minutes. But that’s still less than half of what this Bluey movie will be — unless the film goes with some kind of anthology format.
There have been 154 episodes of Bluey to date; the most recent aired in April of 2024. Disney has not confirmed any additional episodes of the show coming between now and the release of the Bluey movie, which is currently scheduled to open in theaters on August 6, 2027.

According to Vernon Sanders, head of global television at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, the series promises to “honor the beloved Tomb Raider legacy while delivering fresh adventures to fans worldwide.”
Rumors that Turner was up for the lead role as the beloved adventurer-archeologist first emerged in late 2024.
Waller-Bridge will write and executive produce the show for Amazon MGM Studios under her deal with the studio.
Jonathan Van Tulleken (Shōgun) has been tapped to direct and co-executive produce alongside Waller-Bridge and newly added co-executive producer/co-showrunner Chad Hodge (Wayward Pines).
Turner is best known for her role as Sansa Stark in HBO’s hit high fantasy series Game of Thrones, based on the book series of the same name from author George R. R. Martin.
The TV series will be based on the long-running Tomb Raider video game franchise, which launched with Tomb Raider in 1996 and currently includes 12 mainline games, not including spinoffs and remakes.
Tomb Raider was brought to the big screen in 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, with Angelina Jolie as the titular character. She reprised the role for a sequel in 2003 titled Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life. Tomb Raider, a reboot starring Alicia Vikander, was released in 2018.
Amazon’s Tomb Raider series will be the first time the character has been the focus of a live-action show.
An animated series titled Revisioned: Tomb Raider and an anime called Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft were released in 2007 and 2024, respectively.

Exciting news for Potterheads: As HBO continues to unveil casting details for their upcoming Harry Potter revival series, a recent Instagram post reveals a long-forgotten Weasley child who was removed from the films will finally make their on-screen debut in the TV show.
Charlie Weasley, the seventh Weasley child (and sixth son) who was omitted from the fantasy films released in the 2000s, will apparently be included in the HBO series, according to an official post on HBO’s Instagram page.
The Instagram post reveals some of the rest of the newly announced cast behind the young Weasley brood.
“The Burrow is nearly full,” the post reads before listing the actors playing siblings Ron, Fred, George, Percy, and Ginny. The caption then teases: “Charlie’s in Romania at the moment but will be joining us soon enough…”
While casting details for eldest brother Bill (played by Domhnall Gleeson in the movies) have yet to be announced, the mention of Charlie (whose casting also has yet to be announced) is highly exciting considering the second-eldest Weasley brother was all but mysteriously missing from the movies as if hit by Hermione’s Obliviate spell.
What Happened to Charlie Weasley?
In the original book series, Charlie, who went to Romania to study dragons after his time at Hogwarts, was a member of the Order of the Phoenix and fought at the Battle of Hogwarts. He served as the best man at his brother Bill’s wedding to Fleur Delacour, and was also present when Harry defeated Lord Voldemort at the end of the Wizarding War.
However, he is never physically in any scenes in the films, having likely been cut due to screentime constraints due to Harry Potter’s sweeping story featuring many characters and subplots.
That said, the character is briefly mentioned a few times in the movies, including when Ron talks about his brother’s work with dragons in Romania in both Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
A photo of the Weasley family on vacation during their trip to Egypt to visit Bill also features a fleeting glimpse of the otherwise-forgotten Weasley brother in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Now, it looks like Charlie will finally get his time to shine on screen in HBO’s Harry Potter series.
HBO’s TV series Harry Potter is slated to premiere sometime in 2027 with an eight-episode debut season. The series stars Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, alongside John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Nick Frost, and more.

What do the new Harry Potter set videos show?
The new images and video from the Harry Potter set have revealed that the production is now shooting the scenes set at London King’s Cross Station. Fans of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World will know that London King’s Cross is home to the fictional Platform 9 and 3⁄4, which is where Harry, Ron, and the rest of the Hogwarts students await the train that will take them to the iconic school of witchcraft and wizardry.
In the first book, Harry has trouble locating Platform 9 and 3⁄4, leading him to seek out the help of the Weasleys, particularly matriarch Molly, who shows the young wizard how to access the hidden platform. The scene is notable for featuring the first appearances of most of the Weasley family.

The new set photos and videos come as former Harry Potter director Chris Columbus confirms that he will have no involvement in the reboot series. “No, I’ve done it, you saw my version. There’s nothing left for me to do in the world of Potter,” said Columbus, who directed the first two Harry Potter movies.
Francesca Gardiner is serving as head writer and showrunner on Harry Potter, while Mark Mylod is attached as its main director. The first season is slated to premiere on HBO in 2027.
The last man standing from the DC Extended Universe is … Peacemaker? And Peacemaker Season 2 is here, with the debut episode streaming on HBO Max. but here is where things get a little complicated. Peacemaker was originally a spinoff from James Gunn’sThe Suicide Squad, which was part of the DCEU. Arjun is one of the confirmed contestants in the show and fans are quite excited to see him in a new avatar. The show will stream on Amazon MX Player, and Arjun’s fans are eagerly waiting to witness his gameplay. Talking about Bigg Boss 19, Awez Darbar, Gaurav Khanna, Ashnoor Kaur, Nagma Mirajkar, Baseer Ali, gamer Payal Dhare, Zeeshan Quadri, and Shehbaz Badesha will be seen entering the show. As per reports, makers of Bigg Boss are roping in international celebs to be part of their show. They are in talks with global boxing legend Mike Tyson and WWE wrestler Undertaker.

Muppets fans were understandably upset when Muppet*Vision 3D, the final Muppets project Jim Henson completed before his death, closed for good at Walt Disney World’s Disney Hollywood Studios. Their consolation prize designed to take the sting out of the loss was the announcement that the Muppets would take over a different ride at the same park, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
The reskinned ride — which has been been themed to the band Aerosmith since it first opened back in 1999 — is expected to debut in 2026, and today Disney Parks Blog offered a first look at what the completed coaster will look like. The concept art above strongly resembles the ride’s current pre-show room, only instead of the members of Aerosmith, there are members of the Muppets’ Electric Mayhem band. (Cue the internet trying to decide which members of Aerosmith correlate to which Muppets.)
The blog post claims “with your VIP passes, you’ll be welcomed inside the recording studio, where – wouldn’t you know it – you’ll find the Electric Mayhem are cranking out some seriously rocking tunes. Along with the finest audio engineers (all penguins, of course) we’ll see Scooter doing his best to convince Electric Mayhem to stop jamming and get to their increasingly restless fans. But will it be enough to get the band across town and onstage in time?”
A second piece of concept art shows what the entrance to the ride will look like. It’s largely unchanged from the current configuration, except for some new colors, and the Muppets’ branding in lieu of Aerosmith.
The blog post also says that “with the help from our friends at Muppet Labs and a very fast limousine, we’ll take a twisting, turning, and screamingly fun road trip across Hollywood to reach the concert in time. The iconic scenery and landmarks of Tinseltown will feature a Muppet twist.”
In other words, it sure sounds like the ride will look and feel basically the same as it has for the last 25+ years, except with Electric Mayhem covers of classic rock hits blasting in your headrest instead of Aerosmith music and perhaps some updated scenery around the track. Whether that is a satisfactory replacement for Muppet*Vision 3D for Muppets fans (or, for that matter, a satisfactory replacement for the Aerosmith version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster for fans of Aerosmith or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster) remains to be seen.
The post about the new ride only lists “2026” as an opening date. Given that the Aerosmith coaster is still operating, and Disney will need months to refurbish the attraction, I wouldn’t expect the Electric Mayhem to start rocking until pretty late in 2026.

However, he is stopped by Tulsi who then says that she will wear the saree that he bought for Noena. Eventually, Noena comes to know and apologises. This evil trick by Gayatri was to create drama and rift between Tulsi and Mihir.
Meanwhile, Mihir has sent his sons – Angad and Ritik – to work. However, they are getting bored. Daksha calls up Ritik who tells her that he is getting thoroughly bored. He then plays guitar and sings. Mihir shows up and yells at him. Meanwhile, Angad is in the office conducting interviews to recruit in factory. Vrinda will show up soon and another major drama will unfold.
Pari’s lie gets caught? Further, during the episode, we see Ajay and Pari getting ready to attend the Janmasthami celebrations at Virani house. However, Pari is scared as in the morning, Ajay had dropped her outside Virani house to meet her family. However, she sneaked out to meet her ex-boyfriend. She is scared that Ajay may get to know the truth. She spins the story and says she only got to meet mother Tulsi. In new promo, it is shown that Tulsi gets to know the truth as Ajay calls her up to apologise as he could not meet her in the morning.

There was so much stuff going on in Agatha All Along that even doing weekly Easter Egg videos, we couldn’t possibly catch everything the first time through.
So now we’ve made one last Easter egg video for the show that’s like a catch-all of everything we didn’t spot the first time around. Every Marvel Cinematic Universe Movie, Ranked From Worst to Best
It started with Iron Man and it’s continued and expanded ever since. It’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with 34 movies and counting. But what’s the best and the worst? We ranked them all.
TGI Fridays, a staple of strip malls around the country for decades, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Texas on Saturday. In a statement, the company’s chairman said the move was part of “difficult but necessary actions to protect the best interests of our stakeholders, including our domestic and international franchisees and our valued team members around the world.”
At its peak in the 2000s, the company had over 600 restaurants worldwide and generated more than $2 billion in revenue. But chains like TGI Fridays have struggled ever since the Covid pandemic, as dine-in restaurants have struggled to compete with counter service chains and places that work more closely with delivery apps like Uber Eats. In recent months, other casual dining chains like Red Lobster have also filed for bankruptcy.
The chain was founded in 1965 as a single tavern on the East Side of Manhattan. As it expanded it became ubiquitous — and occasionally satirized. In Mike Judge’s cult comedy Office Space, Jennifer Aniston’s character worked as a waitress in a restaurant called Chotchkie’s, whose knickknack decor, and uniform of striped shirt and suspenders covered with buttons were unmistakably spoofing the design and vibes of a TGI Fridays.
At present, the bankruptcy only directly affects Fridays’ parent company. Restaurants that are franchised from the company should stay open and continue operating during the bankruptcy.
That said, it’s entirely possible other restaurants may close. The TGI Fridays at the Destiny USA mall in Syracuse, New York closed in late October with no warning — just a handful of days before the larger company filed for bankruptcy.
HBO debuted the official images today. The show is set prior to the events of Stephen King’s epic horror novel (and its two-part adaptation, It and It: Chapter Two directed by Andy Muschietti) and set in the town of Derry, Maine, the site of the novel. King’s book alludes to the town’s dark past — and that is the subject of the show.
Although it is set prior to the events of the book, and largely features a new cast, it will co-star Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the Clown. While HBO hasn’t revealed any images of Skarksgard from Welcome to Derry yet, you can see Pennywise’s logo in the background of the image above.
The cast of the show besides Skarsgard includes Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, and James Remar.
King’s book, which was first published in 1986, and then first adapted to television in 1990, via the two-part miniseries directed by Tommy Lee Wallace and starring Tim Curry as Pennywise.

Whether they tried or not, none of these actors had the same success in movies that they did on the TV shows that made them famous.
There seem to be two different kinds of fast food. One kind encompasses familiar, comforting favorites; burgers, fries, tacos. Foods you ate as a kid; foods you eat as an adult to briefly feel like a kid again.
That’s one kind. The other kind? Basically the weirdest food ever conceived. Foods that never before existed in the history of the world. Foods that arguably shouldn’t have existed! But words like “shouldn’t” mean nothing to fast food chefs — except maybe a challenge.
This list is about that second kind of fast food, the strangest items ever to grace fast food menus in this country. (The strange fast food items to grace fast food menus in other countries are so wild and so numerous that they deserve their own list.) We’re talking about foods that look like one thing and taste like another. We’re talking about a pizza with hot dogs (and mustard!) on the crust. We’re talking about a latte that tastes like buffalo wings. When I say weird, I mean weeeeeird.
Most of these items were only available for a short time. (The buffalo wing latte was not an all-time best-seller. Shocking, I know.) But they were real, and for one brief, shining moment, they were spectacular. Or at least spectacularly crazy. Now pass the mustard, I’m going to have some pizza with hot dogs in the crust.
Jay Johnston, the actor and comedian known for work on Mr. Show, Arrested Development, and Bob’s Burgers, has been sentenced to prison for his participation in the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
How long is Jay Johnston’s prison sentence?
Johnston, who was arrested for his participation last year, pleaded guilty to a felony offense of obstructing officers during a civil disorder in July. As a result, Johnston has been sentenced to 12 months and a day in federal prison.
The prosecution had initially been seeking a prison sentence of 18 months due to Johnston making “light of his participation in the riot by dressing up as Jacob Chansley, known as the ‘QAnon Shaman,’ at a Halloween party that he attended,” according to NBC News.
Johnston was alleged to have spent about 10 minutes in the lowest west tunnel that leads into the Capitol. According to prosecutors, during that time Johnston helped several rioters wash their eyes out, created a “shield wall” using a stolen United States Capitol Police riot shield, and also participated in a push that pinned MPD Officer Daniel Hodges against a door during the riot.
Johnston’s participation in the riots was widely publicized almost immediately after the events. Photos of his face began circulating on social media during the events, and in the years leading up to his arrest, the actor was not shy about sending “messages to friends and family in the days after January 6th claiming the events at the U.S. Capitol were exaggerated by the media and that it was a ‘setup’ by the police and Antifa,” according to the prosecution.
Following the confirmation that he had appeared in the Capitol riots, Johnston was fired from his role on Bob’s Burgers, where he had appeared in a recurring role as Jimmy Pesto Sr.
