Five months after creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson’s Yellowjackets secured a renewal order from Paramount+, it has now been confirmed that the hit psychological thriller will officially be concluding its run with the upcoming fourth season. The creative team is currently targeting a 2026 production start date.
What did the Yellowjackets creators say about the Paramount+ show’s impending conclusion?
In their statement, Lyle and Nickerson expressed how grateful they are towards the cast, crew, and writers, as well as the loyal fans of Yellowjackets who have believed in the show’s story since the beginning.
“After three incredible seasons, and great consideration, we’re excited to announce that we will be bringing the story of Yellowjackets to its twisted conclusion in this fourth and final season,” Lyle and Nickerson’s statement reads. “We’ve always known there would come a point when the story would tell us it wants to end, and it’s our belief that our job — our responsibility — is to listen. Telling this emotional, wild, and deeply human story has been a profoundly meaningful experience and a true honor for us, and we’re so very grateful to the brilliant cast, crew, and writers who have bravely gone on the journey with us to bring it to life. Most of all, we want to thank the fans who have stuck with us through every moment, mystery, and meal — the Hive is nothing without you! We can’t wait to share the final chapter with you and hope you find it … delicious.”
Yellowjackets currently stars Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, Lauren Ambrose, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Liv Hewson, Courtney Eaton, Elijah Wood, Hilary Swank, and more. The series is created and executive-produced by showrunners Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, with Jonathan Lisco serving as its showrunner. It is a production by Lionsgate Television. Since its debut in 2021, the show has maintained its Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes for the past three seasons.
Peacock released the first teaser trailer for The Copenhagen Test during the show’s New York Comic Con panel, revealing the first look at the upcoming espionage thriller series starring Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera. It will premiere on December 27, 2025, only on Peacock.
“This espionage thriller series follows first-generation Chinese-American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Simu Liu), who realizes his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears,” reads the show’s official synopsis. “Caught between his shadowy agency and the unknown hackers, he must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who’s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies.”
What happens in The Copenhagen Test teaser trailer?
The trailer details the story of Alexander Hale (Liu), an intelligence analyst who doesn’t know whom he can trust anymore. The trailer doesn’t show off too much, but it does tease some fight scenes involving both Liu and Barrera, as well as a possible romantic connection between the two.
The Copenhagen Test was created by co-showrunner and writer Thomas Brandon (Legacies). Jennifer Yale (See, Outlander) also serves as co-showrunner and writer on the project. Alongside Liu and Barrera, series regulars on The Copenhagen Test include Sinclair Daniel, Brian D’Arcy James, Mark O’Brien, and Kathleen Chalfant.
Liu, Brandon, and Yale serve as executive producers on the show, alongside James Wan and Rob Hackett for Atomic Monster, and Mark Winemaker and Jet Wilkinson, the latter of whom also directs the first two episodes of the show.
The first trailer for VisionQuest was shown at New York Comic Con.
VisionQuest, sometimes referred to as Vision Quest, is the forthcoming Marvel Television series arriving on Disney+ next year. Serving as a spin-off to WandaVision, the show is created by Terry Matalas and will once again see Paul Bettany reprise his role as Vision.
What happens in the VisionQuest trailer?
While the VisionQuest trailer that was shown at New York Comic Con hasn’t been released online, Variety has a description of the footage, which offers some insight as to what MCU fans can expect from the new show.
“The trailer showed Bettany back as White Vision from the ending of WandaVision, plus a regular-looking human version,” the article reads. “There was also human versions of Ultron, who was voiced by James Spader in the second Avengers movie, and the AI programs Jarvis, Friday, and Edith. At the end of the trailer, there was a brief shot of an adult Tommy, Vision, and Wanda’s son that appeared as a child in WandaVision.
“Vision Quest was described as the third part of a trilogy that included WandaVision and Agatha All Along. In the trailer, Bettany walks up to a white mansion and is greeted by human servants who are really just recreated AI programs. They include Jarvis, who was Tony Stark’s AI program that later became Vision; Friday, who replaced Jarvis and was the AI assistant to Stark and Spider-Man; and Edith, the AI program in Stark’s sunglasses from Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
In addition to Bettany and Spader, the cast of Marvel Studios’ VisionQuest includes Todd Stashwick as Paladin, Ruaridh Mollica as Thomas Shepherd, T’Na Miller as Jocasta, Emily Hampshire as Edith, Orla Brady as Friday, Faran Tahir as Raza, and more.
Marvel’s VisionQuest will premiere on the Disney+ streaming service in 2026, though an exact premiere date has not yet been set.

The following post contains SPOILERS for the end of Peacemaker Season 2. Why anyone would want to read a finale breakdown for a TV show without spoilers, thus necessitating a spoiler warning, we will never know. Nonetheless, there it is.
Now that PeacemakerSeason 2 is done, we’ve got a much better idea about where this show — and all of the DC Universe — is headed. The new DCU now has its own version of Checkmate, which is a huge group in the history of DC Comics. And we’ve also got some hints about Lex Luthor and his exo-suit, which is seemingly coming to live-action for the first time very soon. (Can’t wait to see that green and purple armor.)
In our latest DC video, we break down the big Peacemaker finale. We’ll show you all the Easter eggs you missed — like the minor characters from Peacemaker who popped up in small roles and the shoutout to Monty Python and the Holy Grail — and speculate about how this all directly leads into the Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow.
If you liked that video on the Season 2 finale of Peacemaker and how it sets up the future of the new DC Universe, check out more of our videos below, including one on the single most important scene in all of Batman mythology, one on all of the Easter eggs in the season premiere of Peacemaker, and one on Superman’s early launch on digital and what it means for the future of movie theaters. The entire run of Peacemaker Seasons 1 and 2 are currently available to stream on HBO Max.
’80s Foods We Wish They Still Made
If you grew up in the 1980s, you surely have fond memories of these popular (now discontinued) snacks.
PeacemakerSeason 2 is a wrap, and it left some pretty sizable changes for the 11th Street Kids and the new DC Universe as a whole. (We won’t spoil them for those who have yet to watch it.) But the season finale would have really blown people’s minds if series creator James Gunn had gone all the way with one of his big deals: A cameo from Marvel hero Deadpool.
All season of Peacemaker has hinged on the title character’s access to a trans-dimensional portal that allows him to visit alternate realities and travel through the multiverse. Speaking to Variety after the finale, Gunn was asked if there were any ideas for alternate universes Peacemaker could visit that he wound up not being able to use, Gunn said “I wanted them to open the door and see Deadpool in a room.”
Gunn also revealed he got so far into the process of making the scene a reality that he “talked to Ryan Reynolds about it.”
Ultimately, Gunn said, he “would’ve had to go through some pretty, pretty big hoops to do that” and so it didn’t become a reality — but Reynolds “wanted to do it.”
Deadpool is perhaps the only character in all of Marvel who would make sense in the context of this sort of cameo, as his constant jokes breaking the fourth wall allow him to pretty much violate the rules of continuity and do whatever the heck he (or Ryan Reynolds) wants. Pretty much is the key phrase there though, as Marvel and DC’s lawyers still have some say about what he can or can’t get away with — and it’s hard to imagine the amount of paperwork that would be needed for an actual Marvel/DC crossover onscreen.
The full second season of Peacemaker is now streaming on HBO Max. If you do want to see Deadpool cross over into DC Comics, he recently met Batman in a just-released comic book, with a second one coming next month. And Superman and Spider-Man will meet in a crossover comic in 2026 as well. So Marvel and DC are working together, at least in the publishing world. So maybe Peacemaker will get to hang out with Deadpool at some point…
Forgotten Animated Disney Movies That Deserve Another Look
From groundbreaking CGI animated movies to lesser-known traditionally hand-drawn gems, here are 11 Disney movies that deserve to be rediscovered.
Netflix is notorious for many things, but one of the better ones is its commitment to rescuing TV shows from the brink of death. Every time a show with a moderate yet sizable following gets canceled by one of the more traditional networks (TV channels, remember those??) Netflix seems to be waiting in the wings, ready to swoop in and snatch the show from the jaws of oblivion for at least one more season.
Sometimes, the gamble works, and Netflix gains yet another original program that delivers the kind of viewership the higher ups hoped for when they chose to see if viewers would follow their fav from cable to streaming, if perhaps a streaming app would be the better fit for a riskier type of program. This isn’t specific to genre: Sure, there are a bunch of sci-fi and fantasy shows that have gotten this treatment, but Netflix has also set its eyes on comedies, dramas, murder mysteries, and detective shows in the past.
Whether or not they last past another season on the platform, it’s interesting to see which shows a company like Netflix looks for, how long they wait until they choose to revive something, and how well they do once they’ve been acquired. Usually, it’s good news when a beloved show gets a second life at a place like Netflix, where the budgets are big and the oversight is small. Whether or not they stick around for more than another season or two, at least these shows got another shot at breaking big.
10 TV Shows That Were Rescued by Netflix
A lot of shows would have been canceled a lot earlier if not for Netflix.
Matlock star David Del Rio has been fired from the CBS series after the actor was accused of sexual assault.
What do we know about the allegations against David Del Rio?
According to a report from Variety, Del Rio was “escorted off the set” of Matlock last week, following an internal investigation at CBS. This comes after an incident on the show reportedly occurred involving a female actor also on the show. It’s unclear exactly what the incident involved, but Variety notes that Del Rio is no longer on set for the show.
Currently, Matlock is filming its second season, with more than half of the project having been filmed as of now. Del Rio starred on the show as Billy Martinez, a first-year associate at Jacobson Moore. According to Variety’s report, his character will now be written out of the series for future episodes.
While he will be written out, there’s also no word on what CBS plans to do about Del Rio’s inclusion in the show up until the moment he was fired. However, with the show set to debut its second season in just under a week, CBS won’t have very long to decide.
A Family Guy producer recently confirmed that a character’s death last year will be permanent, shocking fans in the process.
What Family Guy character was confirmed dead by a producer?
In a recent interview with TVLine, producer Alec Sulkin confirmed that Ernie, the iconic yellow chicken that often fights with Peter Griffin, is canonically dead in Family Guy. Ernie’s death came during episode 5 of Season 23 of the show, “The Chicken or the Meg.” In it, Meg begins a romantic relationship with Ernie’s son, Nugget. In one scene, Ernie gives Meg an ultimatum: to cut ties with Peter, or stop seeing his son.
Meg refuses, leading to what seems to be a fight. Ernie says he can’t hit Meg, though, and the scene then cuts to Meg walking out with Ernie’s decapitated head, as his body runs around behind her. While Ernie has “died” in scenes with Peter before, Sulkin confirms this was the actual end for the beloved character.
“I think that the chicken has gone the way of all flesh,” Sulkin said. “Honestly, I feel like we got so many great set pieces out of the giant chicken fighting with Peter that they became hard to top. It’s a lot to ask of our production crew, and we may have just gotten the best out of that character.”
Ernie is best known for his several fight scenes with Peter throughout the history of Family Guy. Their first encounter came in Season 2’s third episode, “Da Boom.”
The fifth and final season of Netflix’s mega-hit Stranger Thingswill see the heroes of Hawkins, Indiana fend off a full-scale invasion from the supernatural forces of the Upside Down. Anyone who’s spent time in a grocery store recently will understand how they feel.
As Stranger Things exploded in popularity, the show began to licensed its name to countless products and tie-in foods. As the show’s farewell approached in the fall of 2025, those products seemed to multiply exponentially. I already sampled Stranger Things Chips Ahoy! cookies, with their chocolate exterior and blood red filling. General Mills is making Stranger Things Fruit by the Foot with a mystery flavor. Kellogg’s slapped the Stranger Things logo on Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops boxes with retro-style packaging. If you prefer savory foods, Totino’s now has Hellfire Club-branded Pizza Rolls. I just got a press release for Stranger Things Eggo Waffles. (They’re red and supposedly taste like strawberry.) This trend is more out of control than Vecna’s hunger for revenge against Eleven.
Naturally, there are Stranger Things chips as well. (Congratulations to me for finding a way to use the words “natural” and “Stranger Things chips” in a single cohesive sentence, something no one on Earth has ever done before.) The chips were created by the fine snack makers at Doritos. In addition to Stranger Things branded bags of typical flavors like Nacho Cheese, Doritos also released a limited-time bag of what they call “Doritos Collisions® Stranger Pizza x Cool Ranch.”
They’re even tying the product to Stranger Things Season 5 with a faux promotional “telethon” for Hawkins, complete with a working phone number. Call 1-855-4HAWKINS and you can hear pre-recorded messages from ’80s celebrities including David Hasselhoff and Paula Abdul.
I just called the number myself and heard from ALF, the alien life form best known for his own ’80s sitcom and also his small but very powerful role in Krzysztof Kieslowski’s The Double Life of Veronique, asking me to lend my support to the town (and to give Doritos permission to use any voicemails I left in their marketing efforts). I would think that ALF, who spent the ’80s trapped in the suburbs where he wasn’t allowed to eat cats, would sympathize with Vecna and support a takeover over small-town America. But I guess not.
In order to determine where my own allegiances lie, I will first need to eat these Doritos. That’s what I do anytime a new tie-in food gets introduced. Has my body been so thoroughly mutated by years of strange concoctions inspired by films and television series that I will decide to throw my lot in with the unholy forces of the Upside Down? Let’s find out.
Let’s Try Stranger Things Doritos
Doritos has a new Stranger Pizza x Cool Ranch flavor inspired by Stranger Things. Obviously, we tried it.
So there you have it. Stranger Things Doritos: Half a bag of an ordinary Doritos flavor mixed with half a bag of an unusual, superior Doritos flavor that is hard to taste in concert with the normal flavor, and tough to identify by sight, meaning you mostly just feel like you’re eating Cool Ranch Doritos that taste ever so slightly different than usual. I think I’ll call ALF back and tell him he should ask Doritos to sell a bag with just pizza chips. He’ll probably try to convince me they should be cat-flavored instead.
Famous Horror Movies That Got Bad Reviews
These huge horror movies — most of which launched franchises — got bad reviews from film critics.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 isn’t out yet, but the folks at Marvel Studios are already getting ready to work on its third season.
What’s the major Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 update?
Speaking to IGN, Daredevil: Born Again writer Jesse Wigutow revealed that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will begin gathering its writer’s room “next week,” to begin working on the planned third season for the show.
Of course, very little is known about the third season of Born Again. The second season of the show still has yet to premiere. That will arrive next year in March, and little is known about the upcoming season of that as well.
In addition to Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and the previously confirmed Krysten Ritter, the cast of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 includes Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter/Bullseye, Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Clark Johnson as Cherry, Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Matthew Lillard, and more.
The Scrubs reboot cast continues to grow, with a new report revealing a litany of both new stars and returning faces set to star in the upcoming series.
Who else has joined the Scrubs reboot cast?
According to a new report from Variety, the Scrubs reboot has rounded out its cast with nine recurring guest stars. These include returning stars Robert Maschio (Men at Work) and Phill Lewis (Suite Life of Zack and Cody), who will reprise their roles as Todd and Hooch in the show, respectively.
As for new stars, Vanessa Bayer (Saturday Night Live), Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island), Ava Bunn (A Man on the Insider), Jacob Dudman (The Choral), David Gridley (The Last Ship, The Rookie), Layla Mohammadi (The Persvion Version), and Amanda Morrow (Mirrorland) will also join the show in recurring roles.
The Scrubs reboot cast is being led by returning stars Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, and John C. McGinley, all of whom will step back into their iconic roles as doctors and nurses for the show.
“ABC’s new Scrubs will follow JD (Braff) and Turk (Faison), who scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time,” Deadline further reports. “Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart, and some surprises along the way.”
Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra will serve as showrunners on the new Scrubs reboot. They also executive produce alongside Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer.
A premiere date for the Scrubs reboot has not yet been announced.

The 10 Darkest Shows on Netflix
These shows will have you making sure you locked your doors at night.
From inside the pods – which served as the backdrop for the first five of six episodes that dropped on Oct. 1 – it was hard to tell if that sentiment would ring true of the guys cast for this unique matchmaking experiment. In fact, there were few clues at all that these folks lived in Mile High City.
None of the eligible bachelors had large beards or sported brewery T-shirts. Only a few mentioned the outdoors in pod dating conversations, and only one admitted to driving a Toyota 4Runner. (The woman he was courting, on the other hand, owned two different Jeeps.)
“He is not the mountain man I envisioned,” said one woman named Annie after meeting her partner Nick at the highly anticipated post-engagement “reveal,” where couples get to see each other for the first time since they started dating. “I was fully ready for him to have a beard down to his chest and his work boots.”
Still, there were hints of the Colorado aesthetic peppered throughout. One couple hosted a camping-themed date that included s’mores, and in a departure from past “Love is Blind” seasons, it was mostly women who had more than one option to choose for a partner. That led to a couple of guys desperately pitching themselves as “the one” in the final day or so before an expected engagement.

In all, six couples ended up getting engaged and therefore earned the opportunity to meet their fiancée in the flesh. Only five made it to Mexico for the honeymoon phase of the experiment – more on that in a minute – and that’s where some of the Colorado bro behavior started to peek through.
After a few days spending time as individual couples, the entire cast met up for a pool party and after a few tequila drinks, several of the women were visibly perturbed that their partners were focusing more on their friends than their fiancées. The vibes were officially off with many of the couples and viewers then got to see how they handled conflict. For the most part, it did not go well.
Based on that insight and the initial chemistry, we’re rating how likely it is we think each couple will say “I do” at the altar. Warning: spoilers ahead.
Kacie Mcintosh (left) and Patrick Suzuki got engaged sight unseen on "Love is Blind." But before they could even reach the honeymoon phase of the experiment, they broke it off. But they swear it wasn't because of looks. (Provided by Netflix)
Kacie and Patrick
Likelihood of staying together: 0% chance
Even from within the pods, hair/makeup artist Kacie and construction manager Patrick seemed like an unusual match. Though they both like sports and seemed to laugh a lot, many of their interactions felt forced. Like the time Kacie was dirty-talking Patrick with sexually explicit language that seemed to make him squirm awkwardly. Nonetheless, the two got engaged, and at the reveal, it was clear on Kacie’s face that she had made a mistake. Before they could even get to the honeymoon, the two met in a hotel lobby where Kacie broke off the relationship. Patrick didn’t seem to get the hint, though, probably because she was jumping into his arms, kissing him and telling him it was definitely not his looks that made her want to quit filming. He fully expected to try to continue their relationship off-camera. But based on Kacie telling producers, “I don’t think my attraction to him can grow,” we aren’t buying it.
Edmond L. Harvey and Kalybriah Haskin meet for the first time after being engaged on "Love is Blind." Somehow they knew instinctually to coordinate outfits. (Provided by Netflix)
Kalybriah and Edmond
Likelihood of staying together: 75% chance
Kalybriah and Edmond seemed to hit it off and have natural chemistry. Edmond, who was raised in the foster care system, is a deeply sensitive dude, and that appealed to Kalybriah, who is a social worker. They somehow even showed up in matching red outfits for their reveal. Their candor with one another also showed a genuine willingness to figure out how to do life together. After the pool party, both agreed they were one of the strongest couples. But later in that conversation, things devolved when talking about intimacy. Kalybriah and Edmond were the only couple not to sleep together, and Kalybriah said she would likely wait until after they were married to have sex. Edmond, on the other hand, wasn’t keen on that. The night ended with many tears and much misunderstanding. Still, we think they have what it takes to find a middle ground.
Denverites Joe Ferrucci (left) and Madison Maidenberg enjoy a solo date sailing in Mexico, following their engagement on reality TV show "Love is Blind." (Provided by Netflix)5
Madison and Joe
Likelihood of staying together: 10% chance
From the moment of the reveal, it seemed like Joe wasn’t feeling the relationship with Madison. Perhaps he was unable to adequately express his emotions, but he came off as more surprised than delighted. Things continued to spiral downward in Mexico when he commented about “thinner women” being his usual type. And when Madison tried to confront him about not prioritizing her at the pool party, Joe shut down and went solo back to their room for a nap. The couple continually struggled to communicate thereafter, and given that they haven’t so far been able to resolve conflict effectively, we don’t see this relationship being sustainable.
Nick Amato (left) and his fiancée Annie Lancaster arrive at the group pool party in Mexico, where they connected with all the other "Love is Blind" couples from Denver. (Provided by Netflix)
Annie and Nick
Likelihood of staying together: 50% chance
Judging solely by their interactions together, Annie and Nick seem to have it all. Their chemistry was instant at the reveal and seemed authentic. They also seem to align on their values and enjoy being in the company of one another. However, Nick, a luxury watch dealer, raises a few red flags. For instance, in the pods, he abruptly broke it off with his top choice when she said she wasn’t religious – even after Nick had already said “I love you.” From what viewers have seen so far, he doesn’t appear to have been forthright with Annie with that information. In the pods, Nick says his mom once asked him when he was younger if he was gay. He said no but we’d be lying if we said the thought hadn’t crossed our mind.
Anton Yarosh (left) and Ali Iappe were the first Denver couple to get engaged on season nine of "Love is Blind." (Provided by Netflix)
Ali and Anton
Likelihood of staying together: 50% chance
Ali and Anton are the wildcard couple, who seem like a good match. Ali is a nurse with Brazilian heritage, while Anton works in transportation logistics and has Russian heritage. Both speak multiple languages and seem like well-traveled, well-rounded individuals. They were the first couple to get engaged, in episode one no less. But their time in Mexico showed where there may be a few fractures. When Anton says he spent $5,000 on the engagement ring, Ali insists it should have cost at least $10,000. After all, “it’s an act of appreciation for the future mother of your children,” she says. Still, all the other women were jealous of how attentive Anton is to Ali. We feel like it could go either way simply because the couple didn’t get as much screen time as others.
Jordan Keltner (left) and Megan Walerius enjoy a private date while in Mexico, following their engagement on reality dating show "Love is Blind." (Provided by Netflix)
Megan and Jordan
Likelihood of staying together: 75% chance
Megan and Jordan knew in the pods they were something of an unlikely match, but one that viewers were rooting for. “Sparkle Megan,” as she calls herself, is a wellness entrepreneur with a taste for the finer things in life. Jordan is a no-frills dad to a five-year-old. They bonded over the fact that Jordan’s son has Type 1 Diabetes, which Megan’s late father also dealt with. But at the pool party, Megan was not shy to say she was annoyed with Jordan after finding some of his jokes juvenile. He immediately promised to stop the banter, but Megan didn’t seem satisfied. We’re hopeful this won’t be a serious speed bump and that they can continue to level each other out.
“Love is Blind” drops new episodes on Wednesday, Oct. 8 on Netflix.
Woo hoo! A new Simpsons movie is officially happening, and scheduled to open in theaters in a little under two years.
20th Century Studios revealed the existence of the film on Monday, and confirmed its upcoming release date in the summer of 2027, with a post on The Simpsons’ official Instagram account that included the first early poster for the film.
The announcement didn’t include any mention of casting, which Simpsons writers and directors are involved, or any sort of plot. Just Homer, a pink donut, and a bunch of number twos.
The first Simpsons movie — which was boldly and brilliantly titled The Simpsons Movie — opened in theaters on July 27, 2007. So, yes, the sequel will be happening almost exactly 20 years later, to the day. Astonishingly, The Simpsons has continued to pump out 20+ episodes every single year in the interim, and the show had been on the air for almost 20 years before the film premiered. The show has already produced almost 800 episodes across 37 seasons.
The sequel teaser poster is a callback to the original teaser poster for The Simpsons Movie.
Despite the prevalence of Simpsons content on television, The Simpsons Movie was a major worldwide hit, grossing over $536 million worldwide. In that regard, it’s kind of incredible the franchise waited 20 years to make another.
The Simpsons Movie sequel is currently scheduled to open in theaters on July 23, 2027. Disney renewed The Simpsons TV show for four more seasons on April 2, 2025. So the franchise will at least be around for its 40th season and beyond.

Netflix has officially welcomed Luke Wilson (Legally Blonde, The Royal Tenenbaums) to the cast of its upcoming golf comedy series, which will be led by Elf star Will Ferrell. This marks the latest collaboration between Wilson and Ferrell, after previously starring together in comedy movies like 2003’s Old School, 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and 2007’s Blades of Glory.
What do we know about Luke Wilson’s character in Will Ferrell’s Netflix show?
According to Variety, Wilson is set to portray a “pro golfer who has beaten Ferrell’s character for the tour championship twice before.” He will also be joining previously announced cast members Molly Shannon as Stacy, Chris Parnell as Anton, Katelyn Tarver as Natalie, David Hornsby as Radford, Jimmy Tatro as Lance, and Fortune Feimster as Sam.
The untitled comedy will take place in the world of professional golf. Ferrell will be playing a fictional golf legend. This marks the Saturday Night Live vet’s first major TV project in a long while, after 2021’s Apple TV+ miniseries The Shrink Next Door. He was most recently seen in Prime Video’s romantic comedy movie You’re Cordially Invited with Reese Witherspoon. Besides the golf series, Ferrell is also currently attached to star opposite Zac Efron in the comedy movie titled Judgement Day.
In addition to leading the cast, Ferrell will also be serving as an executive producer along with Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions. The 10-episode show is also executive-produced by Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue for T-Street, Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green, and Andrew Guest.
Look if you’re going to make a prequel to Stephen King’s It, the only time to release is is in October. That’s when the new series It: Welcome to Derry, premieres on HBO Max. Based on King’s concepts and developed by much of the same team behind the two recent It movies, it (sorry) takes place in the early 1960s and reveals a previous altercation between an earlier generation of kids and Pennywise the evil clown. (Bill Skarsgard will reprise his role from the films as well.) Guessing it goes great for all involved and nothing terrifying happens at all!
Okay, so if the real world these days is scary enough already without a TV show about a demonic clown, HBO and HBO Max also have The Chair Company, a new series from Tim Robinson. Otherwise … yeah, this is Halloween season on streaming. It’s all about horror. HBO Max will also get the streaming premiere of the recent A24 film Bring Her Back, plus a host of classic horror titles, including the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, The Exorcist, and a bunch of Halloween and Insidious movies.
Here’s everything coming to HBO Max in October…

The main cast, including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin, also talked about their close bond and their experience growing up together. Meanwhile, Winona Ryder and David Harbour also shared how great it was to witness the young cast grow, with Ryder describing it as the “biggest gift” that the show has given her.
In addition, the featurette also provided fans with more footage from the final season, with the cast and creative team promising to deliver its biggest and most epic season ever. They also teased that each character will get to show everything they’ve got as they all fight together for their one last adventure.

Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding,” reads the Season 5 synopsis. “As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
The series is created and executive produced by Matt and Ross Duffer, who also serve as showrunners. It is executive-produced by Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment and Dan Cohen, with Levy also directing multiple episodes. Besides the upcoming final season, the streamer will also be releasing an animated spin-off series titled Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85.

The latest Bigg Boss 19 episode began with nominations task. The contestant had to give live commentary on other contestants and make it entertaining. Shehbaz Badesha, Amaal Mallik, Gaurav Khanna, Pranit More, Mridul Tiwari, Zeishan Quadri and others participated in the task and made fun of other contestants. Gaurav Khanna called Kunickaa Sadanand ‘Kaleshi’, Amaal said Ashnoor tries to act innocent and more.
Team Shehbaz wins
Finally, the task came to an end and Nehal Chudasama saved Shehbaz Badesha’s team. She did so to return a favour to Baseer Ali and keep friends Farrhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal safe. She, however, enjoyed performances of both the teams though.
Abhishek Bajaj, Baseer Ali fight
Later in the episode, a major fight broke out between Abhishek Bajaj and Baseer Ali. It started with Captain Abhishek asking Farrhana Bhatt to clean her bed. The fight went on, everyone got involved and Baseer Ali pointed out that Awez Darbar, Abhishek’s friend, did not do his bathroom duty well.
Abhishek’s shocking comment on Baseer
The fight escalated with the two contestants making use of cuss words. Abhishek also made a comment on Baseer involving the word ‘lachak’ that did not go down well with him. Other contestants jumped in to stop the fight.
Tanya Mittal gets royal treatment
In the episode, Tanya Mittal also received princess treatment. She was wearing gloves so her friends fed her. Shehbaz Badesha brought her food plate, Amaal Mallik fed her and Zeishan Quadri helped her drink water. All in fun. Mridul Tiwari and Gaurav Khanna had fun passing commentary on the scenario.
Neelam Giri irritated with Tanya Mittal
Tanya Mittal also spoke about her lavish lifestyle. Yes, AGAIN! She said that she travels from one city to another just to drink cold coffee. She also spoke about owning a horse and more. Neelam Giri asked her to stop and not flaunt her wealth.
Nehal Chudasama picks new captain
Nehal Chudasama, being in the secret room, also received another superpower. She was asked who among the girls could be the next captain of the house. She chose Farrhana Bhatt.
Amaal Mallik vs Pranit More
By the end of the episode, Pranit More and Amaal Mittal got into an argument. The singer called the comedian ‘jazu’ and that did not do down well with him.
