    The new captaincy task

    The captaincy task happened in the house where three ex-captains, Munawar Faruqui, Aoora and Isha Malviya will decide the captain. In the task, there are three Mountains for three ex-captains who will meditate and other housemates will provoke them, and a storm will follow.     After the storm, the housemates will hide and the ex-captains will decide who to eliminate from the captaincy race after each round. There will be five rounds.

    Now, the news is that Ankita Lokhande is the new captain of the house. It seems Munawar and Isha have betrayed Mannara and chosen Ankita over her. But the audience have the most hilarious reaction to this news. A few of them have said that it would be interesting to see her as the captain. However, a few also felt that she has been lazy and ‘kaamchor’.

    Who will get evicted next?

    So now, Aoora, Abhishek, Arun, Ayesha, Samarth and Munawar have been nominated for this week. And it seems Aoora might get evicted since he is not doing much in the house yet.

    Rohit to go missing for a brief period

    Rohit tries to hide his feelings but he cannot. Recently, we saw during the New Year’s party, Rohit goes missing and everyone blames Abhira for it. As per reports in India Forums, Rohit will now go missing for a brief period and the Poddar family will assume him to be dead.

    But, the story will take another turn when Rohit will return back. A source close to India Forums has said that Shivam’s track has been deliberately put on hold as part of the planned storyline. Rohit’s return may coincide with Armaan and Abhira growing closer, intensifying Ruhi’s jealousy.

    As per reports, the return of Shivam Khajuria’s character remains uncertain and it seems it will take a few months for the character to be back. However, nothing has been confirmed.

Both of them were nasty. Well, in the last two weeks a lot has been said about Munawar Faruqui and even the housemates have been calling out Munna for his behaviour. While that was sorted out, in a way, Abhishek Kumar and Vicky Jain’s fight saw no resolution at all. And Vicky and Abhishek both said some nasty things.

    Bigg Boss 17: Abhishek Kumar and Vicky Jain get into a nasty fight

    So, the episode of Salman Khan-hosted reality TV show began with Vicky Jain poking fun at Abhishek Kumar. It so happened that Arun Mahshettey had come out to ask Vicky about washing dishes. Vicky put it on Abhishek who was sitting on the sofa and talking to others. Vicky seemingly took a jibe at Abhishek saying that he has 40 days of experience of washing dishes. Abhishek got furious and asked Vicky why doesn’t he tell his wife, Ankita Lokhande, to wash the dishes.     It is after that point that everything turns nastier. Vicky and Abhishek lose their calm on each other and get into a verbal spat. Vicky loses cool because Abhishek dragged Ankita in the matter. Abhishek says ‘pel dunga’ to Ankita and Vicky. His remarks don’t go down well with the husband-wife duo. They feel it was a below-the-belt remark. Abhishek says he meant in the game sense and is ready to apologise if they thought it any different. We also see Vicky Jain then going on Abhishek’s family asking him whether he beats his mom and dad. Abhishek asks the same thing to Vicky and adds that he might be hitting his mom which is why she was crying on national television.     During Abhishek and Vicky’s fight, Neil Bhatt tries to calm them both down but Vicky reprimands him saying that Abhishek is cursing his wife and he is taking Abhishek’s side. Neil tries to tell him that he is just asking them to calm down. But to no avail. Ankita Lokhaned also loses her cool on Munawar Faruqui since the latter doesn’t react to Abhishek and Vicky’s fight. Vicky Jain also loses his cool on Munawar and tells him that if he babysits Abhishek ever again, he will never speak to him in his life. Munawar was chilling and sleeping. After being reprimanded, he talked some sense into Abhishek.

    Colman Domingo is one of the more successful actors working in Hollywood today, but that wasn’t always the case. According to the actor, he nearly gave it all up after being turned down for a hit HBO series.

    Speaking to The New York Times (via Variety) in a recent profile, Domingo recalled a time where he was having trouble finding big roles and began auditioning for roles that might not offer many lines (known as “under-fives” roles for their lack of lines). One of those auditions was for the hit HBO drama series Boardwalk Empire.

    According to Domingo, the role was for the maître d’ at a Black-owned nightclub, and the actor went all out. At the callback audition, Domingo wore a tuxedo and even performed some singing and rap dances. Despite impressing those behind the show, however, the profile notes that Domingo was passed on for the role due to the producers of the show wanting someone more “light-skinned” for historical accuracy’s sake.

    Domingo nearly quit acting after the decision

    The auditions went so well that both Domingo and his agent thought this would be a “big break” for the actor. However, a historical researcher on the show told producers that maître d’s for nightclubs of the time were typically “light-skinned,” meaning Domingo didn’t fit the role, forcing the show to pass on him.

    According to Domingo, the decision made him nearly lose his mind, and almost had him ready to quit acting forever. “That’s when I lost my mind,” Domingo said, with his agent noting that Domingo told him that “I can’t take it anymore, I think this is going to kill me.”

    Thankfully for Domingo, he didn’t end up quitting on his pursuit to be an actor, and the patience paid off. Now, Domingo is one of the most successful actors in Hollywood and has appeared in a ton of high-profile films like Lincoln, Selma, If Beale Street Could Talk, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. He’s also an Emmy-Award-winning actor for his performance as the recovering drug addict Ali in the HBO hit series Euphoria.

    Tom Smothers of the famous Smothers Brothers comedy duo has died at the age of 86.

    The comedian’s death was confirmed by the National Comedy Center who, on behalf of the family, revealed that Smothers died “following a recent battle with cancer.”

    Born in New York, the Smothers family relocated to Southern California when Tom was a child. There he attended Redondo Beach High School and later San Jose State University.

    Tom and his younger brother, Richard, initially wanted to become folk musicians, however, they found a winning formula when they began mixing comedy routines into their performances.

    The Smothers Brothers began appearing on TV variety shows in the early ‘60s and released several popular comedy albums. They were given their own television series, The Smothers Brothers Show, in 1965, however, the sitcom format proved a bad fit for their style of comedy. Two years later, the duo landed a variety show of their own, where they proceeded to thrive.

    The Success of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour

    The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour featured sketches and routines that, for their time, pushed the boundaries of television. Future stars like Steve Martin and Rob Reiner were among the show’s writers. The series became a hit with young Americans, while the older generation – and CBS censors – bristled with some of its more controversial routines.

    Harkening to their early folk days, the Smothers Brothers also made sure their variety show featured plenty of musical performances. The series earned a reputation for hosting many of rock’s biggest acts, including Cream, the Doors, George Harrison, Buffalo Springfield, Jefferson Airplane and Simon & Garfunkel.

    One of the show’s most notorious moments took place in 1967 when the Who performed. Keith Moon placed a small amount of explosives in his bass drum to add a wild effect to their rendition of “My Generation.” However, unbeknownst to the drummer or any of his bandmates, a stagehand had accidentally doubled the amount of pyrotechnics that were intended to be used. When the band smashed their instruments at the end of the song, the explosion was much larger than expected. Moon was hit by shrapnel from his cymbal, while Pete Townshend’s hair briefly caught on fire.

    Despite the show’s popularity, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour was canceled after two years due to ongoing disputes with CBS.

    The show was briefly brought back in 1970 and another revival followed in 1988, however, neither managed to catch an audience’s attention like the original.

    Tom Smothers Played on John Lennon’s Give Peace a Chance

    Tom befriended many musicians over the years, including John Lennon. The two occasionally collaborated on projects, most notably Lennon’s 1969 classic “Give Peace a Chance,” which featured Smothers on acoustic guitar.

    Tom continued making television appearances throughout his life, including guest spots on Dream On, Suddenly Susan, and The Simpsons.

    Most recently, Tom and Richard announced they’d be hitting the road once more for a Smothers Brothers comedy tour in 2023.

    “This is kind of a victory lap or something,” Tom said. “Just to go by these people one more time and to take a look at these brothers that they liked a lot to see how they, ‘Oh, they don’t look that bad!’”

    Sadly, Tom’s cancer forced the duo to cancel their reunion dates.

    Netflix gifted fans of Lady Whistledown a treat on Christmas morning with an all-new look at Bridgerton Season 3. The poster and images were released to celebrate the third anniversary of the show’s release.

    The poster features a mirror with the reflection of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), who will be the main focus of Season 3. The images tease Penelope’s impending romance with Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) from Romancing Mister Bridgerton, the fourth book in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series. Season 3 will not spotlight Benedict (Luke Thompson), the focus of the third book.

    A couple of days ago, when Ayesha Khan entered Bigg Boss 17, Nazila went live on Instagram. She claimed that she was not aware of Munawar’s relationship with Ayesha and claimed that she have no relationship with him whatsoever. Munawar had had a breakdown after Ayesha’s entry and he was seen being worried about Nazila. In her live video, Nazila also claimed that not just Ayesha and her, Munawar cheated a lot and with a lot of other women.     ‘What If…?’ Season 2 Premieres on Streaming

    What if… Marvel released a new show daily instead of weekly?

    We’re about to find out. The new season of What If…? is here, and Marvel is doing something totally different with this new batch of animated Marvel adventures set in some of the weirder corners of the multiverse. The premiere is available today, December 22, on Disney+. And each of the season’s remaining episodes will premiere daily between now and December 30.

    That’s correct. On Christmas Day, you’ll have to tell your family “Sorry guys. I can’t open presents right now. I need to go watch today’s episode of What If…?”

    The season premiere this time out is titled “What If… Nebula Joined the Nova Corps?” and features the voice of Karen Gillan, along with fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Jude Law, Michael Rooker, Seth Green, and Taika Waititi. Jeffrey Wright also returns this year as the voice of the Watcher, the mystical cosmic being who observes all the myriad alternate realities of the Marvel multiverse, and narrates the series.

    The rest of this season of What If…? includes episodes built around Peter Quill turning evil and attacking the Avengers, an episode set in the 1602 Marvel Universe from comics, a show where Hela finds the Ten Rings instead of Shang-Chi, and the returns of two popular characters from the first season of What If…?: Captain Carter (a Peggy Carter from a world where she becomes Captain America, or Britain I guess, instead of Steve Rogers) and Strange Supreme, the evil variant of Dr. Strange who becomes consumed with collecting power as a means of undoing a tragedy.

    The Bequeathed trailer reveals the upcoming Korean thriller series, in which ominous events begin to unfold once a family’s burial ground is passed down. The project hails from Yeon Sang-ho, who directed Train to Busan and created the hit Netflix series Hellbound.

    What’s The Bequeathed about, when does it premiere, and who is in it?

    The Bequeathed debuts globally on January 19. It centers on Seo-ha (Kim Hyun-joo). She receives sudden word that her uncle, her father’s younger brother, has died. She inherits the family gravesite, given that she’s his only remaining relative. But things get complicated when her half-brother Young-ho (Ryu Kyung-soo) approaches her. He argues for his share of the estate. Days later, cops arrive to investigate a series of mysterious murders that occur nearby.

    Kim Hyun-joo‘s other credits include Hellbound, Undercover, and Watcher. Ryu Kyung-soo is known for Glitch, Hellbound, Broker. The cast also includes Park Hee-soon (A Model Family, My Name) as the police detective Choi Seong-jun. Park Byung-eun (Kingdom, Eve) also stars as Choi’s younger colleague and the squad chief.

    The series is co-created by Min Hong-nam, Hwang Eun-young, and Yeon. It’s based on the webtoon of the same title written by Kang Tae-kyung and illustrated by Jonoon and Rido. The Bequeathed is produced by Wow Point and RedPeter Films (Peninsula, Another Child, Psychokinesis, Train to Busan).

    One Illinois family learned this the hard way. In a viral TikTok video, Andrea Coston details how her family has been waiting for years to go on a Walt Disney World Vacation.

    “In 2020, my parents were planning a big family trip, but the pandemic happened,” the video’s captions read. “We finally planned it for this Christmas. All 16 of my family members are going. To save some money, my parents bought 10k of Disney gift cards to purchase our tickets and restaurant reservations.”

    Can you guess where this is going?

    This poor family bought $10,000 worth of Disney+ gift cards — gift cards that are specifically and only good for the Disney+ streaming service. They have no value at Walt Disney World or anywhere else in the physical world; they can only be used to subscribe to Disney+.

    At the going rate of $7.99 for a month of Disney+ with ads, with $10,000 worth of Disney+ gift cards, a family could comfortably subscribe to the service for the next 104 years. Like they’ll never have to buy a Blu-ray of The Little Mermaid ever again — but riding the Little Mermaid attraction at the Magic Kingdom is now in jeopardy.

    In fact, the video goes on to say “We need help. We leave in 6 days and the parks are selling out of tickets because it’s Christmas.”

    (I don’t know why you would wait until the week before your 16-person family trip to Orlando to book tickets to Walt Disney World, but hey, I also wouldn’t buy $10,000 worth of gift cards to “save money,” so what do I know?)

    Hopefully someone at the Disney company takes pity on these folks and sorts it all out for them. (Disney customer service will probably let you exchange $10,000 in gift cards over the phone, right?) Let this be a lesson to the rest of you: Read the fine print. (And make your Disney reservations well in advance.)

    Marvel is doing something different in 2024: They’re launching their latest Disney+ series, Echo, as a bingeable show. Instead of weekly installments every Wednesday or Friday, the full run of five episodes of Echo, starring Alaqua Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, will premiere simultaneously and you can watch the entire season all at once.     Wednesday is not the only creepy and kooky member of The Addams Family. Did you really think she’d be the only one to get a TV show after her Netflix series became the biggest show in the history of the service?

    Nope. According to Variety, Netflix is already developing at least one Wednesday spinoff based around Fred Armisen’s Uncle Fester. Armisen played the character as a guest star in Episode 7 of Wednesday’s first season.

    Jackie Coogan played Fester on the old Addams Family television series. In the two ’90s Addams Family movies, the character was played by Christopher Lloyd.

    Wednesday, created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and directed in part by Tim Burton, premiered last fall on Netflix and quickly broke many of the streaming service’s viewership records. Netflix says its viewers have watched 1.7 billion minutes of Wednesday, the equivalent of 252 million “views,” making it the top English-language Netflix show ever. (Only Squid Game tops it, with 2.2 billon hours and 265 million views.)

    The rest of the series’ Addams family, who were also guest stars on the show, include Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzman as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley. (The family’s pet disembodied hand, Thing, played himself on the series.) The series’ star, Jenna Ortega, followed the first season of Wednesday with the upcoming Beetlejuice 2, also directed by Tim Burton.

    Wednesday is expected to return for a second season on Netflix, with production starting some time in the spring of 2024.

    Bigg Boss 17 gets an extension?

    The finale of the show was initially supposed to happen on the 17th or 18th of January, 2024 but now it will happen on the 3rd or 4th of February, 2024. Dance Deewane will also be starting from January 10 but there is no confirmation on the show.     We have seen that since season 13, Bigg Boss has been getting extended as fans love watching the controversial reality show.

    Matthew Perry’s cause of death has been revealed.

    As first reported by TMZ, the Friends star, who died on October 28 after he was found unresponsive in the hot tub at his home in Los Angeles, died of “the acute effects of ketamine.”

    They note that ketamine “is used to treat depression and is also used as a recreational drug.”

    According to the medical examiner’s toxicology report, “Perry had taken ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety a week-and-a-half before his death.” But “the ketamine in his system at the time of his death, however, ‘could not be from that infusion therapy, since ketamine’s half-life is 3 to 4 hours, or less.’”

    The report notes that there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs like cocaine, heroine, methamphetamine, or fentanyl present at the scene of Perry’s death. The Medical Examiner concluded that the ketamine  in Perry’s system resulted in “cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression.” It also cited “drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects” as “contributory factors” in his death.

    Although he appeared in numerous other movies and television shows, Perry was best known for his role as lovably sarcastic Chandler Bing or ten seasons and over 230 episodes of Friends. As the story goes, Perry was Friends creators’ first choice for the role of Chandler — but he was under contract to another TV series at the time. Eventually, Perry was able to get out of the other show and audition for Chandler and got the role. He was only 24 years old at the time he was cast, and the youngest member of the core Friends cast.

    Born in Massachusetts, Perry was largely raised in Canada; he went to school as a young man with future Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Besides his iconic role on Friends, Chandler also starred in the Aaron Sorkin series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and the sitcoms Go On and The Odd Couple. His film roles included Fools Rush In, 17 Again, and the hit comedy The Whole Nine Yards, plus its sequel, The Whole Ten Yards.

    Perry struggled with addiction off and on throughout his adult life, but had been sober for months prior to his death. In 2022, he released a memoir detailing his career and his struggle with addiction, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.
