  • Bills Execute the Most Insane Tush Push in NFL Playoff History

    The “tush push” has become one of the most unstoppable plays in football, but the Buffalo Bills may have just taken it to a whole new level.

    During the fourth quarter of Sunday’s AFC Wild Card showdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo delivered a version of the play that felt straight out of a video game. Trailing 24–20 with just 1:10 remaining, the Bills faced a critical snap from the Jaguars’ 10-yard line. Quarterback Josh Allen took the snap, lowered his shoulder, and with a full convoy of teammates behind him, was literally pushed all the way to the 1-yard line.

    The initial ruling on the field was a touchdown, as it looked like the entire pile crossed the goal line. After review, officials spotted the ball just short, placing it at the 1. No problem.

    On the very next play, Buffalo lined up and ran the exact same tush push again. This time, Allen powered through cleanly and scored, capping off a dramatic, physical, and unforgettable sequence that ended up being the game-winning touchdown.

    It was a reminder of just how difficult the Bills are to stop in short-yardage situations, especially with a quarterback built like a linebacker and an offensive line willing to move the entire defense backward. One play covered nine yards. The next covered the final 12 inches. Together, they delivered one of the most dominant goal-line pushes fans have ever seen.

    If the Philadelphia Eagles are going to return to the Super Bowl this year and create yet another chapter in the quest for an Eagles dynasty — it’s going to start in the trenches. The Eagles aren’t just built for Tush Pushes — they are built to compete in the trenches each game — which means that they are positioned to win each game.

    When the 6–3 Detroit Lions take the field at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night — DJ. Reader and Aiden Hutchinson and Detroit’s Defensive Line will not be the only focus on the line. One offense, the Eagles are once again making a late-season push by opening up more and more holes against opposing defenses who are trying to key on Saquon Barkley. On defensive, they have now assembled a unit that will be utilizing an old playbook.

    It’s only been nine months since the Eagles Defensive Line dominated Super Bowl LIX — pressuring quarterback Patrick Mahomes for six sacks and completely owning the Chiefs Offensive Line. It wasn’t just a performance of NFL lore — it was an audition for players like Josh Sweat and Milton Williams to sign large contracts elsewhere.

    Nine months later — in the same week that former Eagles All-Pro Defensive Tackle Clyde Simmons was inducted in the 2025 Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame — the 6–2 Philadelphia Eagles began the second act of the 2025–2026 NFL Season by starting four former 1st Round Selections against the Green Bay Packers. Not even a short retirement could take away Brandon Graham’s place as the longest-tenured Eagle after having been selected in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. No matter what happens this season — his legacy of excellence over fifteen years — helping the Eagles to three Super Bowl appearances and winning two will always make him one of the best that this city has ever seen.

    University of Georgia’s Nolan Smith returned from IR for his first game against the Packers. Smith was drafted Number 30 overall in 2023. In that same Draft — the Eagles acquired Jalen Carter with the overall 9th overall selection.

    Perhaps the biggest splash before the deadline was the addition of former Miami Dolphins Edge Rusher Jaelan Phillips. In Phillips — the Eagles also get another former first-round pick from the Miami Dolphins paired along with recently un-retired Brandon Graham in exchange for a 2026 third-round Draft Pick.

    And the Eagle who recovered the Josh Jacobs fumble with 1:26 remaining in the game? That was Jaelan Phillips.

  • Leaving An Eagles Mark – One Week At A Time – Philadelphia Sports Nation

    The 4–0 Eagles have become a dangerous team. Their objective is now to become a playoff team. Every great franchise in the NFL is defined by two very important characteristics; leaving a mark on the game and being unstoppable. The Eagles — are achieving both.

    Even with Saquon Barkley struggling to find any seam to run through and AJ Brown quoting scripture while going an entire game with only two receptions — when Brown, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and Devonta Smith are on the field the Eagles are literally unstoppable — even posting a perfect 18–0 record together.

    Seventy-five years ago — the Eagles and All-Pro running back Steve Van Buren were an unstoppable force. It didn’t matter what the defense did — Van Buren still found a way tp punish defenses. The result were two NFL championships and three NFL Championship appearances. The 1960’s Green Bay Packers had the Packer’s Sweep, the ’85 bears had the 46 Defense, Bill Walsh’s 49ers had the West Coast offense, and these Eagles? Well — they have the Tush Push.

    It’s only a matter of time before you see that patented tush-push. Formulated and perfected with the aid of a South Philadelphia visit from a Scottish Rugby Coach Richie Gray — created a nearly unstoppable mark on the game over the past two seasons. This Eagles team can run it, fake it, and run it again. It attracts so much attention in fact — that no one hardly notices when Saquon Barkley takes a handoff from said bunched formation and walks into the end zone.

    And while the NFL and national media debate the legality of the play that seems unstoppable — it’s ironic that this roster full of talent may be remembered among other things for a glorified quarterback sneak. Now the debate after two impressive Eagles’ wins against Tampa Bay and Kansas City is Philadephia leaving early on the Tush Push? 

    Complete with deep talent on the depth chart complimenting a roster perfectly assembled by Howie Roseman — the Eagles have everything in front of them. Especially when you need less than one yard. It’s coming right at you — whether you think that you can stop it or not. 

    Best to come up with an answer, NFL teams. Instead of complaining about the rules. 

    And after the Broncos Game? Make it 19–0.
