Tenacious D have added some U.S. dates to their Spicy Meatball Tour. After wrapping up a handful of shows in Europe, Jack Black and Kyle Gass will begin their North American dates on September 6 in Charlotte, North Carolina. They’ll also play cities in Tennessee, Indiana, Arkansas, and Texas, wrapping things up in Austin on September 15. Check out Tenacious D’s full schedule below.

Last month, Tenacious D returned with their new single “Video Games.” The track is produced by John Spiker, and it arrived with a music video featuring animated versions of Black and Gass. The duo also officially released a cover of Chris Isaak’s classic ballad “Wicked Game,” along with a goofy Taylor Stephens–directed visual featuring Black and Gass frolicking in the ocean.

On June 25, Tenacious D will perform at the annual Video Game Awards, which are being held at the Hollywood Bowl. The band is readying its next album, as Black teased at the end of the “Video Games” single.

Wilco have announced a fall tour with dates in the United States. Following stops in Europe and the United Kingdom in August and September, they head back to the United States for dates in September and October. They’ll be joined on those dates by My Brightest Diamond and Nina Nastasia. Wilco end the year with Sky Blue Sky in Mexico. Find their itinerary below. 

Jeff Tweedy is releasing a new book in November called World Within a Song: Music That Changed My Life and Life That Changed My Music. Last year, Wilco released Cruel Country and a huge reissue of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

Taylor Swift has announced her first Eras Tour dates outside of the United States. In August, she’ll play three shows at Mexico City’s Foro Sol. Then, in November, Swift will perform in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil. Sabrina Carpenter is touring with Swift in Latin America. Swift played her first Eras Tour show in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday, March 17. At subsequent shows, she’s brought out surprise guests including Aaron Dessner, Marcus Mumford, Phoebe Bridgers, Ice Spice, and Jack Antonoff.

Not long after releasing her forthcoming LP, The Age of Pleasure, Janelle Monáe will embark on a North American tour in support of the album. The trek—aptly titled the Age of Pleasure Tour—will get started on August 30 in Seattle, Washington, winding through a total of 26 U.S. and Canadian cities before wrapping up in Inglewood, California, on October 18. Monáe will stop off in Portland, Minneapolis, Chicago, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston, and more locations during the string of live dates. Find her full schedule below.

The Age of Pleasure, Monáe’s follow-up to her 2018 LP, Dirty Computer, arrives June 9 via Atlantic. The 14-song record includes “Float” (which features Seun Kuti and Egypt 80), and “Lipstick Lover.” The latter arrived earlier this month with a music video co-directed by Monáe and Alan Ferguson.

Jockstrap will tour the United States this fall, playing a string of dates around the country after their July appearance at Pitchfork Music Festival. The wily British pop duo picks up the run at the Fonda in Los Angeles on September 20 and wraps on October 28 at Dallas’ Deep Ellum Art Co. Find the dates below.

Jockstrap released debut album I Love You Jennifer B last September; it placed at No. 15 on Pitchfork’s rundown of “The 50 Best Albums of 2022.” Singer and multi-instrumentalist Georgia Ellery is touring North America with one of her other bands, Black Country, New Road, just before the new Jockstrap dates.

On Saturday night (May 13), during a Philadelphia stop on her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift appeared to defend a fan from an alleged issue with a security guard, TMZ and Vulture report. In multiple videos posted to social media, Swift can be seen yelling into the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field between lines of her 1989 song “Bad Blood.” “She’s fine,” Swift said at one point, followed by “she wasn’t doing anything!” and “hey, stop!” Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Swift and Lincoln Financial Field for further information and comment.

In addition to videos of the concert itself, multiple clips of the scene outside Lincoln Financial Field are circulating online, showing throngs of fans singing Swift’s songs in unison. Last night’s show was Swift’s second of three Philadelphia performances during the Eras Tour, which will stretch into August. She is set to play Lincoln Financial Field again tonight before heading to Foxborough, Massachusetts tomorrow.

Earlier this month during her first stop in Nashville, Swift brought out Phoebe Bridgers for a live rendition of “Nothing New” from Red (Taylor’s Version). Both artists sang in unison while playing acoustic guitar.

Killer Mike has announced a summer tour behind his forthcoming album, Michael, which is out June 16 via Loma Vista. The touring act is called Killer Mike and the Midnight Revival, and the dates take place in July and August of this summer. Find those dates below.

Pitchfork Music Festival 2023

Navy Blue has announced a tour in support of his recent album Ways of Knowing. He’s got a scattered handful of June dates in the United States and Europe. See all of his stops below.

Released in March, Ways of Knowing is the Brooklyn-based rapper’s first album for Def Jam. He last issued Navy’s Reprise in 2021, joining Wiki for Half God in between his own records. Last year, Navy Blue made another guest appearance on Cold Cuts, a joint mixtape by Wiki and Subjxt 5.

Jpegmafia and Danny Brown have announced a joint tour in support of their new collaborative album, Scaring the Hoes. After kicking things off on July 25 in Nashville, the rappers will embark on a lengthy trip across the United States, with stops planned in cities like Cleveland, Buffalo, New Haven, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Orlando, and Houston. Scaring the Hoes came out last month and includes the singles “Lean Beef Patty” and “Scaring the Hoes,” both of which came with music videos. As far as their solo careers go, Jpegmafia’s most recent release was LP!, which came out in 2021, while Danny Brown dropped his full-length Uknowhatimsayin¿, which was executive produced by Q-Tip, back in 2019.

Jessie Ware has announced a headlining tour in support of her upcoming album, That! Feels Good!. Following three shows in Europe this summer, Ware will perform seven shows in the United States and Canada in October before flying to the United Kingdom for three November concerts. Pearl Jam have announced their first tour dates of 2023. The U.S. shows take place in August and September. Find the band’s itinerary below.

Pearl Jam are continuing to tour in support of 2020’s Gigaton. Following pandemic-induced delays, the band managed to get back on the road last year for shows in North America and Europe.

Julia Jacklin has announced a run of North American tour dates with support from Black Belt Eagle Scout, Macie Stewart, and Kara Jackson. The tour—which includes a Saturday set on July 22 at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago—kicks off in Burlington, Vermont, July 14 and wraps up three weeks later with an appearance at Montreal, Quebec’s Osheaga Music Festival on August 6. Little Simz previously had a North American tour scheduled for the spring of 2022, supporting Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, but she canceled those dates due to financial concerns. “Being an independent artist, I pay for everything encompassing my live performances out of my own pocket and touring the US for a month would leave me in a huge deficit,” she wrote at the time.

The London artist most recently released No Thank You. The newly announced dates surround Little Simz’s stop at the Format Festival in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Phil Elverum has announced a Mount Eerie tour with shows coming in May and June. At those shows, he says he’ll perform new songs from an in-progress album. For the May shows in the U.S. he says the band will be a duo: “I’m growing concerned that we may be already too tight as a band.” Find the tour dates below and ticket info here.

The Chicago date includes a conversation with Hrishikesh Hirway. The Brussels dates are in celebration of Harry Smith’s 100th birthday and include film screenings and a talk with Elverum. His most recent record as Mount Eerie was Lost Wisdom Pt. 2, a 2019 collaborative LP with Julie Doiron.

Mount Eerie’s Phil Elverum Starts Over, Again

Jeff Tweedy has announced a solo tour of intimate shows. It takes place across North America this summer. Le Ren is supporting for most of the shows. Check out the tour itinerary below.

The Music That Made Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy

In April 2013, Killer Mike and El-P told the world that they’d be releasing a joint album under the name Run the Jewels. A month later, they shared their debut single, “Get It,” and the full-length arrived in June. Now, a decade and three albums later, Run the Jewels are celebrating their 10th anniversary with concerts in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

According to a press release, Killer Mike and El-P will be “performing a different set each night spanning the band’s full discography, bolstered by a plethora of special guests and surprises along the way.” Find the tour dates below.

“It’s mind blowing to us that it’s been 10 years since we joined forces as RTJ,” Killer Mike and El-P said in a statement. “The best way we can think to celebrate is to get the whole family together and do what we love for the people who love us back. It’s going to be amazing, just like this entire ride has been, and we are grateful to get a chance to celebrate with our Jewel Runners this year and finally get back into clubs to destroy some stages for you. We’re doing four cities, four nights each, and four full albums worth of jams, many we have only performed a small handful of times during our whole existence. So on night one it’s RTJ1 in full, plus many more songs from the other records; night two it’s RTJ2… etc. etc. We can’t wait to get out there and see you.”

Run the Jewels’ most recent album, RTJ4, came out in June 2020. Last year, they released the RTJ Cu4tro remix album.
