Josie Gibson has hit back after she was slammed for “rubbing in” her luxury Florida holiday that cost thousands.

The This Morning star, 41, spent half term in Orlando with her son Reggie, six, and enjoyed visiting water parks, fed crocodiles, watched a rodeo and even took a helicopter ride.

The pair were accompanied by Josie’s two male friends, who she fondly refers to as ‘the Gunkles’.

Together, they also visited Universal Studios where they were given special VIP Experience treatment.

This meant they could queue jump onto rides and were given a private guided tour.

Josie gushed online: “I did say when I hit 40 I’m going to make it a year I do everything, especially when it comes to making memories with my little one.

“You quickly realise you never get your time back when they are this young and life doesn’t wait around for you.”

But Josie has found herself coming under fire after sharing video clips from her trip with her 778,000 followers online.

Some of her fans have accused her of “rubbing it in” given the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Josie has come under fire on several of her holiday posts on Instagram.

One angry follower blasted: “Talk about rub it in with all these holidays, I can’t even afford a day out on the pier. Please keep it private.”

Another added: “Rub it in, why when we are all broke, cost of living crisis!!!”

And a third said: “Wish I could afford this, you’re so blessed.”

Josie has since clapped back after others began accusing her of taking a “freebie” holiday.

“Let me guess…..another freebie holiday?” someone else wrote.

One follower also replied: “Lucky to not have to pay for all of your holiday.”

But Josie has set the record straight and insisted she paid for the trip herself.

In her first video, Josie offered a “travel hack”. She’s captioned the clip: “We flew into Tampa instead of Orlando saving nearly a thousand pounds per person.”

She also told her fans that “shopping wasn’t indulgent” due to the poor pound to US dollar exchange rate. Josie added: “It was practically financial responsibility.”

Referencing her “travel hacks”, Josie hit back at another fan accusing her of going on a “gifted” trip:

“If it was gifted I wouldn’t have any savings,” the TV presenter replied.

Josie’s second holiday in eight weeks

Josie’s holiday to Florida comes just eight weeks after she visited Thailand for a New Year break.

Again, she had shared video reels online of her holiday which included plenty of beach time, a zip wire experience and an experience day at an elephant sanctuary.

At the time, Josie had said: “Coming to Thailand has been so good for the soul. I came emotionally burnt out and the energy here is so special it’s making me feel ready for anything.

“I am so grateful for life love and incredible connections.’

But again, Josie was told by one of her followers: “I work at the NHS, I have no chance of affording a holiday like that.”

‘I just feel so upset’: Ashley James backlash as she breaks down in tears over Virginia Giuffre on This Morning

Ashley James broke down in tears on This Morning today speaking about the reaction of Virginia Giuffre’s family to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest.

Andrew was arrested yesterday (February 19) on suspicion of misconduct in a public office. Virginia was one of the most prominent accusers of Jeffrey Epstein. She took her own life in April 2025.

Yesterday, her family spoke out, welcoming the investigation into Andrew. Today (February 20), it was discussed on This Morning, with Ashley, Gyles Brandreth and Russell Myers.

After a clip of Virginia’s family played out, hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond first spoke to Ashley.

“I felt very emotional watching this actually,” said Ashley, speaking about the family’s statement. “I feel very emotional because, erm, there’s a reason that I feel so upset about it, umm, because,” she said, wiping tears from her eyes.

“So many of us have watched, sorry I just feel so upset, so many of us have watched the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein try to get justice. And I felt a huge sense of relief yesterday watching Andrew be arrested.

“But of course this isn’t… his arrest is about state matters and not the alleged sexual abuse of Virginia Giuffre, who is of course no longer here. I think the fact that it took us so long and she is no longer here, for justice to be served, and as Virginia’s brother said yesterday, this feels like the thread that is starting to be unravelled and hopefully we will see accountability.”

‘I want to commend her bravery’

She then explained why it “feels so personal for lots of women and girls watching this”. Ashley continued: “Because the atrocities linked to Jeffrey Epstein and everyone who, not only was part of that but knew about it… It feels personal because as a survivor of sexual assault, you question the system that makes it so difficult for survivors to speak out.

“And I just want to commend the bravery of Virginia Giuffre and the other survivors. Because as her brother rightly said, if it wasn’t for her coming forward, and also not being believed, then perhaps we wouldn’t have uncovered this about Andrew and so many other things that will also hopefully come out.”

She concluded: “We want to see accountability and we want to know that the law and the system doesn’t protect people in power, it protects us. And if they want a society that abides by the law, it doesn’t matter if you’re a politician, part of the royal family, you are held to account. And I commend King Charles for saying that he will follow the law. But I also wonder why it’s taken so long.”

This Morning viewers react to Ashley James’ tears

Ashley’s tears didn’t exactly get a sympathetic reaction from This Morning viewers. As she reached for the tissues, the keyboard warriors were out in force, accusing her of ‘faking’ her tears.

“Urgh here she goes,” said one. “God now we have tears,” said another. “Oh Ashley! You’re embarrassing yourself. No need for the fake tears, the story is horrific. We know! Behave,” another urged.

“God, she really tried to get those tears out then didn’t you? Blink? Blink,” another cruel viewer commented. “Ashley is so performative!” another added.

Ashley was raped by a ‘friend’

Former Made in Chelsea star Ashley James recently revealed that she was raped by someone she considered a “friend” while she was at university.

Writing in her new book Bimbo, Ashely shared the reason she didn’t report the sexual assault to the police. She said: “Not because I thought the police wouldn’t believe me, or that the courts would fail me, but because the man wasn’t a stranger in a dark alley. He was a friend. And because of that, the only person I blamed was myself. For years. Even after it happened, I was more worried about him not liking me than I was about my own trauma. I was worried he’d tell other people and everyone would think I was a slag. So I didn’t tell anyone, and I even tried to stay friends with him.

“Even now I find it hard to think about him as a rapist. Even though that’s what he was, because I wasn’t asking for it. In fact, I was unconscious. I’d worry about ruining his life. Yes, I was drunk. Yes, I was wearing going-out clothes, having come from a club. But I was with friends – people I trusted. We don’t teach girls that, one day, if they get the chance, their male friends might try to rape them. It doesn’t matter what you are wearing [or] if you had zero drinks or 1,000 drinks.”

‘Don’t do this again’: Complaints pour in as The Traitors winner Stephen Libby makes his This Morning presenting debut

The Traitors may be over, but it’s clearly not goodbye as Stephen Libby made a surprise step into presenting on This Morning.

On Thursday’s show (February 5), Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley welcomed Stephen into the This Morning fold. The appearance came just weeks after his first outing on the sofa as a guest, and this time he was very much front and centre.

True to form, Stephen was tasked with presenting the fashion segment. While Ben and Cat were full of praise, reactions from viewers at home were far more mixed.

Stephen Libby makes This Morning presenter debut

Throughout The Traitors, Stephen proved himself a firm fan favourite. Despite openly dropping hints that he might be a Traitor, he still made it all the way to the final alongside Rachel, with the pair successfully taking home the prize money.

It wasn’t just his dramatic reactions that got people talking during his time in the castle, though. Stephen’s bold and unusual outfits quickly became part of his Traitors identity.

From statement jumpsuits to standout looks, fans became increasingly obsessed with his style choices. And it seems all that attention has paid off.

On This Morning, Stephen led the fashion segment himself, showcasing a mix of high-street and vintage outfits to demonstrate how they can be styled together.

He appeared to impress Ben and Cat with his presenting skills, and the segment ended with a surprise appearance from Anneka Rice – a style icon who had previously shared her thoughts on Stephen’s Traitors outfits.

Fans are divided on appearance

Not everyone watching at home was convinced Stephen was ready for a presenting role, with some suggesting nerves got the better of him.

At the start of the segment, Ben attempted to put Stephen at ease by appearing in his own jumpsuit, a nod to the Traitors star’s signature look, which clearly delighted him.

Viewers soon took to social media to share their thoughts. One wrote: “This is a definite no from me.”

Another commented: “So, Stephen’s got himself a new career after being a [bleep] Traitor. Eye roll.”

A third asked: “Wait, the worst dressed guy from The Traitors is now doing the fashion section on This Morning?”

“Please don’t do this segment again,” another added.

One viewer observed: “He seems really nervous. Just keeps saying ‘yeah’ and ‘erm’.”

However, Stephen also had plenty of supporters, with some calling for him to return.

One fan said: “I love Stephen on the fashion segment. So much better than the usual presenters.”

Another agreed: “I’m actually loving this fashion segment, Stephen is fab.”

And one viewer even predicted: “They will find him a permanent segment…”

Love him or loathe him, Stephen Libby is clearly keeping viewers talking long after The Traitors has finished.

Warming up through the middle of the week

Good morning! After the coldest morning of the year yesterday morning (14 at RDU), we’re off to another cold start this morning in the 20s for most, with feels-like temps in the teens for some. Highs will climb into the upper 40s to around 50 today. This is still a few degrees below the average high of 55, but a noticeable improvement from yesterday.

After a few passing clouds this morning, sunshine will aid in the warmup today before clouds increase tomorrow as a disturbance passes.

With continued southwesterly flow, even warmer air will move into the region, and high temperatures tomorrow will reach the mid 50s to around 60. Weak ridging along the East Coast will allow for one more day of warmth on Thursday ahead of an approaching cold front.

A few showers will develop around mid/late morning Thursday, with rain chances increasing through the day Thursday and through Thursday night as the front pushes through the region. Any lingering rain should wrap around daybreak Friday morning.

There will be a noticeable breeze starting on Thursday afternoon before the front moves through Friday morning. Gusts will be between 20-30mph most of the time but there will be locally higher gusts with the front.

Friday’s high in the low 60s will likely occur near or before midday as temperatures are forecast to fall behind the front during the afternoon. Afternoon temps will be in the mid/upper 50s.

The air mass following the front will be cooler, though not as cold as it was this past week. Highs on Saturday will reach the low 50s under bright skies.

How long the dry weather lasts will depend on the interaction between two areas of high pressure and a trough moving across the Great Lakes and Northeast late in the weekend. A shower or two is possible Sunday as a cold front crosses the region, but high pressure is expected to quickly return.

Highs will be in the low 60s Sunday ahead of this front, before trending in the 50s to near 60 leading up to Christmas and Christmas Day.

Cat Deeley’s clever spin on polka dots proves they’re spot on for autumn

Despite a late night at the National Television Awards, Cat Deeley looked as fresh as a daisy as she hosted This Morning with Ben Shepherd. The pair were in jubilant moods as they celebrated the shows win, named Best Daytime Programme, and Cat took to the occasion wearing a stunning polka dot dress that had all the shades of autumn.

Cat’s latest dress is a fan favourite, the popular Rixo Abi Dress. If you thought polka dots were purely for spring and summer, let Cat be your guide as to how to wear them through autumn.

Cat’s dress is a fine example of taking a spring trend into the chillier season. Sleeveless though it is, it’s the deep, rich burgundy shade that transitions it into fall. The delicate crinkle chiffon exudes chic, and the tiered midi skirt is about as breezy as they come. The scarf-style neckline taps into the dress trend that’s everywhere, full of romance and whimsy.

Cat makes a case for polka dots in autumn

The 48-year-old did what she does best by putting her own spin on the trend. Cat added a brown, skinny leather belt to cinch in the waist, immediately evoking thoughts of autumn, and paired the ensemble with a burgundy knee high boot.

Cat’s choice of footwear is exactly how to take your polka dot dresses, or more summer-centric dresses, into autumn. A knee high boot in dark brown, burgundy or camel is a lighter look than black, and I’d advise you keep it minimal in style with a block heel and almond shape toe; chunky yes, but without too much bulk.

If you’re worried about the halter style neckline being too cold for September onwards, think again. A suede cropped jacket would look stunning with this dress, as would an oversized blazer. You could equally layer the dress over a super fine, long sleeved top to make it peak-winter ready and come those winter weddings, add a cropped Chanel style jacket.

Cat’s not alone in loving a polka dot dress for autumn. The timeless was style was on the AW25 runways including Altuzarra to Vivienne Westwood, and every high store worth its salt has a whole section dedicated to the classic print.

I found a really great lookalike of Cat’s dress for just £69 / $119, at Omnes. The sustainable fashion label has the chiffon polka dot dress in a pinky red shade, along with navy and light blue.

True to form, Cat’s made a super stylish return to This Morning following the summer break. She turned to Rixo earlier in the week, wearing the sweet silk Clementine Dress, but the rest of her outfits have been much more affordable high street buys. Top of my favourites was the River Island boucle waistcoat, a neutral cream Chanel-style sleeveless top that looks super luxe. I also loved the chocolate brown cashmere Reiss batwing jumper, worn with a Massimo Dutti leather mini skirt – that’s one look I’m definitely going to replicate this autumn.

Jamie Oliver slammed for ‘shameful’ This Morning appearance: ‘Don’t take my happiness away!

This Morning viewers were left divided today (September 10) after Jamie Oliver cooked on the show.

The celebrity chef appeared on the ITV daytime programme on Wednesday morning to whip up a prawn curry.

He proposed the dish, which features in his new Eat Yourself Healthy cookbook, as a healthier and cheaper alternative to ordering a takeaway.

While Jamie’s creation went down a treat with presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd, and many envious viewers at home, others were less impressed.

In particular, several This Morning viewers were disappointed by the “expensive” ingredients Jamie had used.

One person took to social media to say: “All high end produce, just what people need in the current climate…”

Someone else shared similar concerns: “So he’s making dishes that are cheaper than takeaways yet still expensive to do daily.”

However, many of Jamie’s loyal fans also stepped in to defend the popular star.

“Looks great, Jamie!” shared one person, followed by a heart eye emoji.

“I’m sure Jamie’s heart is in the right place, and I know people who’ve met him and said he’s lovely,” cheered on someone else.

Another person was also inspired by the chef’s healthy eating mission, commenting: “Jamie Oliver is obvs practising what he preaches, he looks fab.”

Kiko strengthens into Category 2 hurricane in East Pacific

UPDATE : 12 :25 p.m.

Kiko grew to a Category 2 hurricane in the East Pacific this morning and is expected to continue strengthening as it heads toward the Central Pacific.

As of about 11 a.m., Kiko had maximum sustained winds are near 100 mph with higher gusts, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. Kiko was centered about 1, 775 miles east of Hilo and was moving west at 6 mph, forecasters said. Kiko is a compact storm with hurricane-force winds extending up to 15 miles from the center and tropical storm-force winds extending up to 60 miles.

“Additional steady strengthening is expected during the next day or so, and Kiko is likely to become a major hurricane by Wednesday, ” the NHC’s midday update said.

The five-day forecast has Kiko weakening back to a Category 1 hurricane as it enters the Central Pacific on Saturday. “Between days 3 and 4, water temperatures along Kiko’s path will begin to decrease while it also moves into a progressively drier air mass, ” forecasters said.

They expect Kiko to continue on a general westward track through Wednesday before gradually turning west-northwest later this week.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE Hurricane Kiko continued strengthening early today far east of Hawaii and is forecast to become a major hurricane by Wednesday night, but forecasters said it remains too early to determine any potential impacts on the islands.

As of 5 a.m. Kiko was located about 1, 815 miles east of Hilo, moving west at 6 mph with maximum sustained winds near 85 mph and higher gusts, according to the National Hurricane Center. Forecasters expect Kiko to continue on a general westward track through Wednesday before gradually turning west-northwest later this week.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 15 miles from Kiko’s center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles.

Kiko is expected to cross into the Central Pacific basin Friday or Saturday, when forecasters will begin monitoring potential changes to the system’s path more closely.

“It remains too early to tell what, if any, impacts this system might have on local weather as it nears the islands early next week, ” the National Weather Service said in its Honolulu area forecast discussion.

Currently, no coastal watches or warnings are in effect.

A light to moderate flow of tradewinds continues to usher in a drier and more stable airmass throughout the Hawaiian islands, lingering through the remainder of the week. Overnight and into the early morning, expect occasional light showers across windward and mauka areas, especially around Kauai and the Big Island’s higher elevations.

In contrast, leeward areas should remain largely dry, though the familiar sea breezes will carry afternoon clouds and isolated showers—particularly on the Kona slopes of the Big Island.

Looking ahead, a weak surface ridge sitting north of Kauai will steady the tradewinds, while an upper-level low moving northward will allow a strong mid-level ridge over the eastern islands to build in, enhancing stable conditions statewide.

As the current south swell diminishes, a new south-southwest energy is expected over the weekend, with east-facing beaches remaining relatively calm.

Coastal flooding may become an issue around afternoon high tides from midweek into the weekend, especially as water levels run higher than usual. That said, the persistent light-to-moderate trades are expected to keep fire weather concerns well below critical thresholds.

Rylan Clark makes huge decision following backlash over immigration comments

Rylan Clark has turned off the comments on his Instagram posts after the backlash over his immigration comments on This Morning.

The TV presenter came under fire last week following a heated debate on the ITV show following his controversial views on Nigel Farage and the small boat crisis. Hours later, he broke his silence and fired back in a statement.

And now, following the backlash, Rylan has disabled the comments on his Instagram posts.

Following his appearance on This Morning last week, Rylan has received a wave of backlash for sharing his thoughts on immigration.

On the show, Rylan explained that Farage is pledging to deport 600,000 migrants in his first term, if Reform gets into government. He then shared his point of view.

“I find it absolutely insane that all these people are, one, risking their lives to come across the Channel. And, two, when they get here, it does seem like: ‘Welcome. Come on in.’ This is the narrative we are being fed,” he said.

Rylan continued: “‘Here’s the hotel, here’s the phones, here’s the iPads, here’s the NHS in the reception of your hotel, here’s three meals a day, here’s a games room in the hotel. Have a lovely time, welcome.’L

Rylan continued: “And then there’s people who have lived here all their lives. They are struggling. They are homeless. Let’s not even discuss our homeless. There are people living on the streets.

“Now this isn’t me getting on my soapbox. Let’s be honest, everyone is going to have an opinion, you’re going to upset someone. But I believe that something major needs to be done about this.”

Rylan added: “If I turn up at Heathrow Airport as a British citizen and I’ve left my passport in Spain, I’ve got to stand at that airport and won’t be let in. But if I arrive on a boat in Calais, I get taken to a four-star hotel.”

Rylan makes huge decision

Immediately after making his comments, This Morning viewers took to Twitter to share their fears that Rylan’s outspoken behaviour could see him cancelled.

And now, almost a week after he shared his thoughts, and following the backlash, Rylan has disabled the comments on two of his latest Instagram posts.

His post responding to the backlash originally had the comments turned on. But they have now been turned off, meaning social media users are unable to comment.

Similarly, a photo Rylan uploaded of him posing on the red carpet at the premiere of his TV show Dating Naked, also has the comments section disabled.

On Thursday, Nik and Eva Speakman were on hand to help This Morning viewers conquer their fears.

However, after the segment finished, Josie didn’t bite her tongue as she quizzed Nik on his “lovely long locks”.

She asked him: “Nik, I just wanna clear one thing up. Your hair has got so long and some people have accused you of wearing a wig. It’s not a wig, is it?”

Rylan then started chanting “Take it off, take it off!” referencing The Masked Singer.

However, Nik’s wife Eva then chimed in to clear a few things up. She revealed: “Do you know what? It really annoys me because that’s all natural. Menopause, mine’s falling out and his seems to be growing!”

Josie shared her shock and quizzed Nik further: “And that is all your hair?!” as Eva fired back: “Yeah of course it is!”

Nik explained: “Yeah, yeah, yeah and the wig thing, it grows so fast that suddenly I had short hair and now I’ve got long hair.”

Josie then declared: “Marvellous, it looks brilliant! Lovely long locks.”

Josie’s ‘dig’ comes after co-host Rylan Clark faced backlash when he aired his controversial views on Nigel Farage and the small boat crisis..

During the Morning View news segment, Rylan explained that if Reform gets into government, Farage is pledging to deport 600,000 migrants in his first term.

“I find it absolutely insane that all these people are, one, risking their lives to come across the Channel. And, two, when they get here, it does seem like: ‘’Welcome. Come on in.’ This is the narrative we are being fed,” he said.

Rylan expressed that there are “people who have lived here all their lives”, who are “struggling”. He also noted that there are loads of homeless people living on the streets. As a result, many This Morning viewers shared their fears that Rylan could lose his ITV job over the comments.

Furious Loose Women star blasts Phillip Schofield in no-holds-barred rant: “I’m really really cross”

Loose Women legend Nadia Sawalha has launched a no-holds-barred attack on Phillip Schofield as the fallout from his Cast Away documentary continues.

Last week, Phillip’s Channel 5 series aired over three nights, and since then the headlines have kept on coming. In the documentary he spoke about his ITV exit and the people he calls the “three [bleeps] of showbiz”.

Since then, it’s been claimed that he blames Holly Willoughby for his TV exit. As well as that, reports emerged claiming that, as they came to the end of their time working together, he nicknamed his This Morning co-host “the witch“.

Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha weighs in on Phillip and Holly ‘feud’

Now, despite admitting that she doesn’t really know Holly or Phillip, Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has waded in. Speaking to The Sun, Nadia admitted she was more than happy to share her thoughts on the one-time TV couple’s feud. And it seems she’s very much Team Holly.

After recently criticising his televised redemption effort as “cringey”, Nadia said Phillip blaming Holly for his TV axe left her feeling “very cross”.

She said: “I’m very happy to answer this, in that I get really, really cross with the world when women always, so often, are blamed. I mean, I don’t know Holly and I don’t know Phil, I’ve sort of nodded at them going down the corridor. But I think just she’s had a really tough time.

“And I really take umbrage with people saying that she’s the problem here. So I feel really strongly about that.”

‘It’s nearly always the woman that’s blamed’

Nadia then added: “Obviously, I don’t know the ins and outs, but I know enough times when you look at things that have happened in the public, it’s nearly always the woman that’s blamed. She’s had a horrendous year. So yeah, that made me cross.”

Earlier this week, one source claimed: “Phil always took the credit for Holly’s success. And boy did he like to tell people that, including Holly. She, of course, knew he orchestrated the opportunity and was always very grateful. But it was thrown in her face quite a lot.”

Alison Hammond’s tears as she shares career sadness: “It’s not all good all of the time”

This Morning star Alison Hammond was previously left wiping away the tears as she recalled a time in her life when she was unable to pay her mortgage – despite her fame.

Since shooting into the spotlight in 2002 thanks to her appearance on Big Brother, Alison has become one of TV’s go-to presenters. From stints on This Morning to The Great British Bake Off and For The Love Of Dog, which repeats today (September 29), Alison has kept busy.

However, it hasn’t always been plain sailing for Brummie fave Alison.

In an interview from August this year, Alison opened up about when she went through a period of financial turmoil, after being unable to bag any work.

“There was a time when I couldn’t pay my mortgage and I was really famous,” she told The Guardian.

This was in 2007, when Alison was a reporter on This Morning. Despite this gig, when she was left unused by the show, she had no other work in the pipeline.

As a result, she ended up getting a job at her local hairdressers where she would “answer the phone, do a few blow dries”. Her son Aidan was still very young at the time and her mother helped them financially too.

However, when recalling the story, the publication noted how Alison began to cry. She then shared: “It’s not all good all of the time. But I was all right, you know? That’s television, it’s fickle and it’s part of my journey, part of my power.”

She also admitted in the interview that Bake Off might not want her back next year. “And that’s okay. I know I’ll be okay, because I’ve been okay before. I’ll go and work at Tesco and people will still love me.”

With Alison’s career going from strength to strength these days, it seems her personal life is as well. Alison, 49, is dating masseur David Putman, 27. And in June, reports claimed that Alison believes David is “the one” and is looking to tie the knot.

A source close to Alison allegedly told Closer: “Alison doesn’t recognise her reflection – she thinks it’s insane. She’s lost almost 5st and is still going strong. She wants to be a sexy bride for her new man. Although she’s not yet engaged, she sees David as The One.”

Holly Willoughby has broken her silence with a personal statement as the first trailers drop for Phillip Schofield: Cast Away.

The former This Morning besties are no longer on speaking terms following his affair with a “much younger” male colleague.

And, amid claims that Phillip takes a ‘dig’ at Holly during his new Channel 5 show, the blonde presenter has posted on social media with an upload that has seen her inundated with support.

In clips from Cast Away seen by The Sun, Phillip appears to take aim at his former This Morning co-host.

Although Holly is never mentioned by name, he hints at a lack of support from his colleagues, and appears to make a dig about Holly’s infamous “are you okay?” This Morning speech.

“I miss parts of being on TV, certainly. I miss most of it, if I’m honest, I miss most of it. But there are bits that I really, really, really don’t miss. You learn a lot about people, I don’t miss that. When you throw someone under a bus, you’ve got to have a really bloody good reason to do it,” he says in the documentary.

‘I’m okay. Are you okay?’

Elsewhere, Phillip and his family are reportedly seen having a BBQ in the garden of his London home. The TV presenter is seen handing plates of food to Steph, Molly and Ruby.

As he does so, he appears to mock ex-pal Holly Willoughby‘s infamous This Morning statement, where she asked viewers: “First of all, are you okay?”

Well done Holly. Your smile is starting to glow again.

According to the paper, Phillip laughs as he says: “If you’re okay, then we’re okay, and I’m okay. Are you okay?”

Now, after the first previews of the show dropped, Holly has posted on her socials.

Shrugging off the Phillip drama, Holly was seen in a nude mini dress celebrating the third birthday of her Wylde Moon lifestyle brand.

Beaming in two pictures, Holly added a personal message to the post: “Just wanted to say a huge thank you for having been such a special part of our journey. Here’s to more years of connection and beautiful moments ahead.”

The star was inundated with support, with the comments section flooded with responses.

“Lovely to see you Holly, looking great,” said one. “Well done Holly. Your smile is starting to glow again,” said another.

“Aww u look gorgeous Holly. So good to see your face, you are so missed. Please return to TV soon,” said a third.

“It’s nice to see you a bit happier now Holly,” another also added.

Whether she’ll be looking as happy when the show airs next week remains to be seen…

This Morning host Cat Deeley has shared the reason she would end up quitting the ITV show.

The TV star became a main presenter on the ITV show earlier this year in March, along with Ben Shephard. The pair replaced Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

And while Cat’s stint has so far gone down a treat with fans, the Brummie star has now opened up about the one thing that would make her leave the show for good.

Now, in a new interview, Cat has admitted she was “shocked” by the scrutiny she’s experienced. So much so, that would end up quitting if it ever became “too much.”

“Everyone keeps checking in with me, ‘Are you OK? Are you handling this all right?’” she told the Sunday Times.

“I don’t care. I do not care. If it gets too much for me I’m going to quit. I don’t need to do it. I could stop and be a mum for most of the year and then go and do the shows in America. There is no ulterior motive for me doing this,” she said.

Former This Morning star Phillip Schofield left under a cloud back in May 2023 when he admitted to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger member of the production team.

Holly Willoughby left the following October, after police uncovered a plot to kidnap, rape and kill her.

However, they still both clearly hold the show dear to their hearts, with the outgoing presenters reaching out to the new hosts before they started their new roles.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ben said: “I know Holly very well and I’ve been in touch with her. She sent us both flowers when we started, and I got a message from Phil as well. They said it’s a special, precious show and you’re going to love it, just make the most of it.

Cat then added: “It was the most beautiful surprise to get a gorgeous bunch of flowers and a handwritten note in my dressing room from Holly. So we’ve been texting.”

This Morning star admits she’s having marriage therapy amid “toughest part of our relationship”

Former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler has opened up on having couples’ therapy with her husband Martin Bojtos after struggling with postnatal depression.

The 44-year-old reality star welcomed the couple’s first child, daughter Noa, in 2021 and they tied the knot the following year.

But This Morning star Kate – who hosts the competitions – has now revealed how Martin asked her to go to couples’ therapy before they headed down the aisle.

Kate said that it was the “toughest time” of their relationship.

She told New magazine: “Martin was the one to suggest it, around a year after I had Noa. I wasn’t in the best place and it was having a huge impact on our relationship. Plus we were getting married six months later and Martin just wanted to start our marriage on the right foot, which was totally the right thing.”

Kate admitted that she “panicked” when Martin first suggested therapy and “thought he wanted to break up with me”.

She added: “It was the toughest part of our relationship. Having a child is the hardest thing you will ever do, but I also believe keeping your marriage alive after you have had a child is a huge challenge.”

Kate says their therapy was “invaluable” and revealed they still have sessions “every few months”.

And they may be needing it when they return home from their family holiday after Kate joked on social media that their current road trip will “end in divorce”.

The family have opted for a getaway to the French village of Grimaud – but it took them 10 hours to drive there.

Kate told her Instagram followers: “I’m the worst passenger when my husband is driving at home.

“Can you imagine what I was like for 10 hours on a motorway? 10 hours it took to get to Grimaud. Should have taken us four and a half.

“Every five minutes I was [shrieking]: ‘Watch the lorry!’ He’s driving up a mountain and we are on the edge of a cliff on windy roads, in the dark, may I add.

“Because I have generalised anxiety disorder, this is how my internal system operates. I believe he’s driving us off the edge of a cliff by accident.

“I actually lost it, I had sweaty palms and everything.”

Kate finished her video by saying Martin had been “on the loo for ages” at a service station, “definitely Googling for the UK’s best divorce lawyer”.

This Morning fans expressed their astonishment on Instagram as they hailed host Alison Hammond and her ‘new’ weight loss.

A short vid recently shared by the ITV daytime series’ social media accounts featuring Alison and co-host Joel Dommett captured followers’ interest, with scores praising the duo’s on-screen chemistry.

But plenty of those taking the time to comment on the upload also made mention of Alison’s appearance. Many remarked on how they reckoned Alison has dropped some pounds.

‘She has her sights set on losing a further 3 stone’

Last month it was reported Alison, 49, is aiming to lose weight in order to wear the “wedding dress of her dreams”.

She’s not engaged to her Russian boyfriend, but an unnamed source still claimed to Closer: “Alison doesn’t recognise her reflection – she thinks it’s insane. She’s lost almost 5 stone and is still going strong.

“She wants to be a sexy bride for her new man. Although she’s not yet engaged, she sees David as The One.

“It likely won’t be long before they take the next step so she has her sights set on losing a further 3 stone and wearing the dress of her dreams. She just wants to be a healthy version of herself and she’s definitely moving in the right direction.”

But despite her reported recent happiness, Alison has previously opened up about weight struggles.

At one point she weighed 20 stone. And she also reflected on having a gastric band fitted in her autobiography.

She recalled: “I was sick a lot. I couldn’t keep anything down. It was really distressing, I felt as if my body was rejecting the foreign entity inside me and I began to get ill.

“I kept it for two years, until it was getting to the point where I couldn’t even keep down one bite of food. ‘I can’t take this any more,’ I thought, miserably.”

Dermot O’Leary “can’t believe his luck” as he lands big-budget TV show away from This Morning

In a surprising career move, This Morning host Dermot O’Leary is set to take a giant leap away from his familiar home of ITV.

Dermot will be hosting a big-budget game show titled Silence Is Golden alongside comedian Katherine Ryan. The show will premiere on UKTV’s Dave next year.

This show marks a significant shift for Dermot, who has been a staple on ITV for an impressive 17 years.

Silence Is Golden kicks off with the audience being entrusted with £250,000 to share.

However, there’s a catch. In order to keep the money, they must keep a straight face while 30 comedians do their best to break them into giggles.

Reflecting on this new opportunity, Dermot shared his enthusiasm with The Sun.

“When a show like this falls into your lap, you can’t believe your luck. Looking forward to having lots of fun,” the presenter gushed.

Executive producer Richard Bacon described the upcoming show as: “The feeling when you’re not allowed to laugh at a funeral? It’s that – the game show.”

Meanwhile, this new career venture adds Dermot to the list of ITV regulars who have branched out to other networks. These also include Amanda Holden and Holly Willoughby. Amanda presented I Can See Your Voice on BBC, whilst Holly will present the upcoming series Bear Hunt on Netflix.

Dermot on This Morning

The host typically presents the ITV daytime show on Fridays alongside co-host Alison Hammond. However, Dermot was noticeably absent on June 14, when he was replaced in the line-up by Josie Gibson.

Upon Dermot’s return to the This Morning sofa, the presenter was seemingly confused at the introduction of a new segment – where Alison and Josie became agony aunts.

And, when Alison prompted Dermot to reprise the segment with her the next week, he was bewildered at the concept. Cradling his head in his hands, Dermot groaned: “Oh God, no.”

Visibly confused, he continued: “Yeah so, we are offering our advice… what are we doing?! Alison, what kind of thing can we help with?”

“Let me tell you, darling. We can help you with a lot of things today. We can help you with dating advice, first dates, finding love again, finding your confidence, family feuds…” Alison was happy to explain, as Dermot still didn’t appear convinced.

However, viewers enjoyed the segment, with one gushing on social media: “Love Dermot and Alison… wish they could present every day they are brilliant! Look forward to Fridays.”

Bodycam footage shows moment Gavin Plumb was arrested: “I’m not gonna lie, Holly is a fantasy of mine”

The man accused of plotting to kidnap Holly Willoughby was back in court today (June 28), taking to the stand for the first time at Chelmsford Crown Court.

Gavin Plumb, from Harlow, Essex, told the court that Holly was his “celebrity crush”. As well as that, he claimed that he has “no ill feelings for her whatsoever”.

Plumb, 37, is charged with soliciting a man to commit murder, incitement to kidnap and incitement to rape. He denies all charges.

Holly Willoughby kidnap latest: Suspect takes the stand

Earlier this week, the court was shown Plumb’s “restraint kit” – allegedly set to be used to kidnap, rape and kill the former This Morning host.

Vile internet searches allegedly made by Plumb – including ones about rape – were also shared with the court.

Insisting his alleged plot – which involved recruiting a man from the States to help him – was nothing more than a “fantasy”, Plumb was reminded by prosecutor Alison Morgan KC that Holly is a “real person”.

He then told the court: “I have no ill feelings for her whatsoever. I completely regret this chat [with an undercover officer using the pseudonym David Nelson]. I am absolutely disgusted that it came out, it was meant to be a private chat between two people.”

‘Heartbroken it came out’

Ms Morgan said: “I am teasing out an apology from you, Mr Plumb.” Plumb said: “An apology for having a fantasy?”

Ms Morgan then asked if he isn’t sorry for his messages about Holly. Seemingly refusing to apologise, Plumb said: “I am heartbroken and disgusted it came out.”

Holly Willoughby kidnap: Bodycam footage shared

Footage of the moment Plumb was arrested has also been released by Essex Police.

Police bodycam footage revealed Plumb was shirtless when officers forced open his front door on October 4 last year. A police officer handcuffed him within moments of them entering.

In the footage, played to jurors in court today, the defendant exclaimed: “What are you talking about? Please explain to me what the hell is going on.”

Told he was under arrest on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap, Plumb asked: “Who?” He was told it was Holly. He then asked: “Okay, where’s that from?” Plumb was then told by an officer: “That will be explained to you in custody.”

Later, while in custody, he stated to officers: “I’m not gonna lie, she is a fantasy of mine.”

Holly quit her job on This Morning and stepped out of the spotlight after the alleged plot came to light.

She said that she was doing so for the safety of her young family. The star hasn’t commented on the case and is thought to be overseas filming her new Netflix show Bear Hunt.

Pack a lightweight striped shirt in your suitcase for your summer holiday, and you’ll find yourself repeat wearing it throughout your vacation. Tuck one into a pair of denim shorts for a day sightseeing, or for casual dinners and cocktails by the pool; buy an oversized shirt and you’ll be able to wear as a beach cover-up, or for throwing on over your swimsuit when its lunchtime at the all-inclusive buffet.

If you’re not jetting off, you’ll still get plenty of wear out of yours. Copy Cat and wear with white trousers or white jeans, for a smarter occasion – it stood Meghan Markle in good stead when she wore a similar outfit to Wimbledon in 2018, tucking a blue and white striped Ralph Lauren shirt into a pair of flowing white slacks.

Rita Wilson, Melanie Griffith and more pay tribute as KTLA and This Morning’s Sam Rubin, 64, tragically dies

KTLA anchor Sam Rubin, who also a correspondent for British morning show This Morning, had died at the age of 64.

Frank Buckley, announcing Sam’s death live on KTLA, broke down in tears as he shared the news with viewers. “Our hearts, as you can imagine, are broken. Quite simply, Sam was KTLA.” Frank said, praising his “warmth and charm”.

Rita Wilson was among the first to share their tributes to the journalist who was a longtime feature on red carpets and known very well by many A-listers.

“Truly saddened to hear of the sudden passing of @samontv Sam Rubin Sam was the person you ALWAYS wanted to talk to on the red carpet. Sam was authentic, you felt the love he had for his job,” shared Rita with followers. “He certainly had a great wit, quick on his feet, kind while being funny yet never mean spirited. Whenever I saw him I looked forward to talking to him.”

“I feel like we grew up together. He was there to welcome us, ask about our projects while putting us at ease, making us feel as if we were talking to a friend,” she continued. “Sam, the red carpet won’t be the same without you. Our prayers and condolences to Leslie and Sam’s children. Rest in Peace. God bless you.”

Melanie Griffiths added: “Oh no! He was so wonderful and warm and kind,” while Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson commented: ” Oh nooooo!!”

Debbie Gibson also posted her own tribute, writing: “CHEERS to you Sam Rubin for so much heart and so many laughs in a world where that is so needed. Thank you for the love and support for our entertainment community over the years. Such a shock to hear this news. Love going out to Sam’s loved ones and @ktla_entertainment family.”

“Sam was THE entertainment reporting man! What a sad and sudden loss. He was a wonderful man who supported me so much throughout my career and I will miss him dearly. I am sending all my love to my @ktla5news family,” wrote Sheryl Lee Ralph.

Alyson Hannigan also shared her memories, captioning a post that read: “My heart is hurting for the loss of Sam Rubin. He had an ability to make me feel like I was his good friend both on and off camera. And today I feel like I lost a friend. RIP. You will be missed.”

KTLA’s emotional tribute

KTLA posted a touching tribute which read: “KTLA 5 is profoundly saddened to report the death of Sam Rubin. Sam was a giant in the local news industry and the entertainment world, and a fixture of Los Angeles morning television for decades.

“His laugh, charm and caring personality touched all who knew him. Sam was a loving husband and father: the roles he cherished the most. Our thoughts are with Sam’s family during this difficult time.”

This Morning, in the UK, also shared a tribute: “We have very heavy hearts this weekend with the news from Los Angeles that our Hollywood reporter Sam Rubin has died at the age of 64. Sam was an Emmy winning entertainment correspondent and presenter for Los Angeles’ No 1 morning show on KTLA, and regularly broadcast live into This Morning.

“He woke up Tinseltown every day for decades with his likeable charm and knowledgeable take on the movie world, he was on first name terms with the stars and became affectionately known as ‘Hollywood Sam’. We will miss him. There will be a tribute to Sam on Monday’s show, but in the meantime, we send our condolences to his wife Leslie, their four children and Sam’s colleagues at KTLA. “

Sam suffered from a heart attack

TMZ was first to report the news, reporting that Sam had called in sick to work early on Friday May 10 before suffering a major heart attack at home. He was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead.

Sam had been an anchor on LA local channel KTLA since 1991, where he reported on awards shows and interviewed celebrities. He had won multiple Emmys.
