    Eric Winter, best known for his role as Tim Bradford on the hit TV series The Rookie, has been quietly working on a passion project that has nothing to do with his acting career. The actor has been nurturing a new venture that promises to take his creativity to new heights, and fans are buzzing with excitement.

    Eric Winter’s next act is brewing, and it’s a tantalising blend of spirits and entrepreneurship. The Rookie star has been sharing updates about his new venture, keeping fans and followers on the loop about his non-acting pursuits.

    Winter’s Palm Republic is gearing up for a big reveal, and he recently posted a little teaser on Instagram with the date “2.6.26”, hinting at a launch on February 6, 2026. “02.06.26,” read the caption of the mysterious image. “Join the Palm Republic mailing list to be the first to know.”

    The 49-year-old, however, couldn’t contain his enthusiasm for Palm Republic’s future. He shared his excitement on social media shortly after the post went live. “I can’t wait!!,” he happily replied.

    The announcement sparked frenzy among netizens. Enthusiasts flooded Instagram with posts expressing their eagerness to experience Palm Republic’s upcoming release. “Interest? PIQUED!,” one person wrote. “So excited to see what you guys have planned!” one echoed. “That’s exciting! I can’t wait to see what’s coming up,” yet another follower commented.

    Although official confirmation is pending, Palm Republic seems to be gearing up for a fresh start. Eric Winter’s Instagram post from January 30 hints at a rebrand, leaving fans curious about what’s in store for the premium rum brand.

    “I hope this answers all of your questions … well sort of!,” he wrote in the caption, leaving fans hanging. “Sign up with the link in bio and FOLLOW @palmrepublicrum you won’t regret it!”

    For those unaware, Palm Republic is a premium rum brand co-founded by Eric Winter, blending rums from Panama, Jamaica, and the US Virgin Islands. The brand has already won a gold medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition.

  • From football to Hollywood: Issac Keys shares his journey of reinvention

    Many professional athletes discover a new life when they’re done playing their sport. For Issac Keys, the transition from football to acting was unusual. After several turbulent chapters, Keys is now in a better place in life. He is ready to share his story in his upcoming memoir. The Grind Don’t Stop, It Just Changes. The book documents moments of his NFL career, the uncertainty he lived through, and how he transitioned to acting. Keys wants to use this book to convey the message that anyone can adapt and overcome life-derailing obstacles.

    “Look at that pivotal point in your life where you had to make a change because you were derailed from the thing you were supposed to do. Think about the things you wanted so bad and worked so hard for, and they were all of a sudden taken away. For me, I realized it was a part of the grind. It didn’t stop, it changed,” said Issac Keys, actor and former NFL star.

    The Grind Don’t Stop, It Just Changes debuts in February 2026. Keys decided to tell his story because of the passing of his father, Issac Keys Sr. Keys Sr’s health started to decline due to onset dementia and sepsis. He passed away on June 8, 2024, two days after the actor’s birthday. This experience led the former NFL star to reevaluate the meaning of legacy and realize how limited our time is.

    “Legacy is not always just about kids or what you leave behind; it’s about what you accomplish in the time that you have on this earth. At this point in my life, I realized that time is not promised,” said Keys.

    Keys is a former NFL Linebacker. He played for the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, and Arizona Cardinals in the early 2000s. After football, he did not have a clear plan. Keys explains that he was in a state of desperation and lost. What led to Keys’ struggles after the sport were a few real estate deals that went bad and burned through his money. Keys had less than $100 in 2007.

    In 2009, Keys moved to Los Angeles and worked several different jobs, like private security and youth intervention. He juggled those while taking acting classes. His effort paid off, as he landed roles on TV series such as Supergirl, Lucifer, and The Rookie. His latest role as Diamond Samson on the spin-off series Power Book IV: Force is his biggest project. This life-changing part helped his finances and made him famous to the point where people stop him for pictures wherever he goes. Even though the role improved his circumstances, Keys didn’t feel secure.

    “When I got the call that told me I got the part, I did a Tiger Woods fist bump and yelled in my apartment. Yet, even after they told me I got the role, I still didn’t believe it. I didn’t believe it because I’ve been through so much heartbreak. People told me I was going to do this and that throughout my life. I didn’t believe it because I felt  like it could simply be taken away,” said Keys.

    The actor started on the book last year after shooting the final season of Power Book IV. Keys explains that writing the Grind Don’t Stop, It Just Changes made him reflect on his childhood. This experience made him question the fights he had as a kid, how putting on a tough exterior led him to football, and whether he was naive in moments of trust with people. He thought deeply about which experiences made it into the book and how most can learn from it.

    “I was able to dig deep into these emotions, which can be great conversations to have with young people or adults. The process of writing this book made me think about why we are the way we are and what barriers are keeping us this way,” said Keys.

    Keys wants to use the story of his life to illustrate that reinvention is possible for anyone who has had to survive life-wrecking situations. He wants to share the chapters of his life in hopes of helping someone and relating to those who feel stuck in their own journey. The Grind Don’t Stop, It Just Changes tells the many lives Keys had to live to go from a bankrupt NFL athlete to a Hollywood actor. The memoir will be released in February 2026.

    The Rookie’s Nathan Fillion has posted a new video from the set of season seven. Taking to Instagram on Monday, the actor revealed that he’s been shooting scenes on a bus in LA, with his character John Nolan dressed in civilian clothes. 

    Known and loved for his signature sense of humour, Nathan, 53, joked around between takes. Panning the camera onto a newspaper with the headline, ‘Rookie shows great skill’,  he quipped, “Who am I to argue? #therookieabc” in the caption. 

    Among the comments, fans commended Nathan on his latest update. “With all the bad news on the TV and in newspapers, [this is the] best news I’ve seen in a very long time!” replied one. 

    The Rookie’s season 7 teaser introduces new recruits

    “The Rookie is literally the best show out there,” noted a second. Meanwhile, a third raved: “Skill, charm, and unofficial King of the Dad Jokes, @nathanfillion you are the whole package! Can’t wait for Season 7 to begin, let’s go Rookie!” 

    Set to return in January 2025, The Rookie will return with 18 episodes airing weekly. A teaser trailer has already been released, introducing fans to newcomers Seth and Miles,  played by Patrick Keleher and Deric Augustine.

    Seth “seems like the ideal police officer, but the job requires quick, decisive action — something that doesn’t come naturally to Seth.” As for Miles, the character is billed as “one of the newest rookies at the LAPD. As a Texas transfer, Miles is a ‘rookie’ despite being a two-year veteran of the force.”

    A synopsis for The Rookie’s seventh instalment is yet to drop, but we do know that one or more of season six’s villains will return following Oscar’s prison break, Jason’s return to LA and Monica’s survival. 

    In May, Showrunner Alexi Hawley told TV Line: “They will definitely resurface at different times. As you know, Jenna [Dewan]’s about to have a baby in real life, so we probably won’t see [Bailey] for the first few episodes because of that. 

    “As a result, we aren’t sure when we’ll see Jason. But yes, I think we’re looking at how we can spread stuff out so we’re not just all diving into all of it at the beginning.”

    Eric Winter – aka Tim Bradford – has also teased what’s to come. Speaking exclusively to HELLO!, the fan favourite revealed that Tim and his former flame, Lucy Chen, will “continue to learn how to navigate their feelings” amid their breakup. 

    “I think we’re going to see Tim and Lucy continue to learn how to navigate their feelings while being on the job,” he explained.

    “We’ll see them pick up in a place where they’ve shown that they care about each other and now they have to figure out, ‘Can we give each other space to do our job and allow our feelings to stay in a safe place but not rush anything and hope one person doesn’t go astray?’”

    “I do know we’re gonna see Tim back in the field training rookies, which I think is what people always loved about Tim,” Eric continued.  “I think people liked Metro Tim, but I think people do like training officer Tim, so we’ll get him back out in the field.”

    The Rookie’s Tru Valentino has thanked “the best fans in the world” after it emerged that he had left the ABC drama ahead of season seven.

    Tru joined the series in season four as a recurring character but was upped to a series regular in season five. He played Aaron Thorsen, a Tik-Tok personality, the son of a famous rapper well-known for his extravagant lifestyle, who decided to attend the police academy.

    Writing that he will “always cherish my time on The Rookie” he added that he “couldn’t be more excited for what the future has in store”.

    “It was such an amazing opportunity, and I feel so lucky to have had the last three seasons,” he shared before hinting at a possible guest appearance, writing: “You never know who may pop back up in the Mid-Wilshire precinct. Until then, 7 Adam 19, this is Officer Thorsen, over and out!”

    The ABC series has brought in two new recurring characters for the upcoming season, new recruits Miles (Deric Augustine) and Seth (Patrick Keleher).

    Miles is a two-year veteran of the force who has transferred to LA from Texas while Seth is someone who should thrive in the atmosphere of the LAPD but struggles with the decisive action required from an officer.

    The cast and crew returned to filming on June 21 with Mekia Cox – aka Nyla Harper – sharing pictures of her first day back on set alongside cast members Nathan Fillion, Eric Winter and Melissa O’Neill.

    Little is know about fans can expect from season seven, but speaking exclusively to HELLO!, Eric – better known to fans as Tim Bradford – said: “I do know we’re gonna see Tim back in the field training rookies, which I think is what people always loved about Tim, I think people liked Metro Tim, but I think people do like training officer Tim, so we’ll get him back out in the field.”

    What fans can expect, however, is to see Tim and former love interest Lucy Chen “continue to learn how to navigate their feelings while being on the job”.
