James Corden is ending “The Late Late Show” with a bang! The celebrity guests and specials have been announced for the final 12 shows.

Ahead of signing off for good on April 26, Corden will welcome a host of A-list celebrities including Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Josh Gad, Jennifer Garner, Brett Goldstein, Kate Hudson, Mila Kunis, Seth Meyers, Billy Porter and Sharon Stone.

Allison Janney — who has appeared as a guest more than anyone — will keep the record as she makes her 15th appearance. The Kardashian family, whom have each appeared separately during the duration of the show, will participate in a “Take a Break” segment.

Tom Cruise is also set to join Corden for a sketch.

K-pop super group, BLACKPINK will appeared on a new segment of Carpool Karaoke.

Ahead of the final episode, Corden’s popular segment will be celebrated with the one-hour primetime special, “The Last Last Late Show with James Corden Carpool Karaoke Special” at 10 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the final episode of the show.

Earlier this week, Corden was spotted filming a Carpool Karaoke with Adele.

ET recently spoke to the “Into the Woods” actor who teased what’s to come.

“My last guest is going to be huge pop star,” Corden told ET. “There’s some really fun things to come. Twelve shows, three Carpool Karaokes, last Crosswalk the Musical. A really big bit, with I think maybe the biggest movie star in the world.”

Corden said he could “cry his eyes out” thinking about the final shows. On top of that, the actor shared the mixed emotions he has experienced as he prepares to say goodbye.

“It’s such an exciting feeling and terrifying and it’s just excited and scared at the same time,” he said. “But I think that’s probably when the most exciting things happen. I haven’t been this scared since I decided to take the show and move to America to do it. And that’s been a life-changing experience.”

  • Gordon Ramsay Gets Ruder And Ruder Judging Super Bowl Snacks On ‘Late Late Show’

Gordon Ramsay Gets Ruder And Ruder Judging Super Bowl Snacks On ‘Late Late Show’

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles don’t hit as hard as Gordon Ramsay ― when it comes to judging Super Bowl snacks. (Watch the video below.)

The famous chef was tasked with reviewing big-game creations made by “The Late Late Show” staff on Thursday, and he didn’t hold back. Literally.

He repeatedly spit the samples onto the floor while adding nasty commentary.

A nearly retching Ramsay expelled “S&M” sausage and mozzarella stromboli (an homage to halftime singer Rihanna’s “S&M” song), Philly cheesteak puff pastries, tomato bisque and teriyaki meatball sliders. He said the sliders resembled his dog’s poop.

But the unkindest ― and funniest ― cut of all was aimed at associate producer Chanler Jackson’s vegan seven-layer dip.

“It looks like the inside of my granddad’s colostomy bag,” Ramsay sniped, getting big laughs out of host James Corden and the audience.

Yeah, he spit that out, too.

One dish actually got his approval: production coordinator Pedro Domit’s tahini tacos and guacamole with pomegranate.

  • James Corden Stops Comedy Bit To Bizarrely Vent About Sex Dolls

James Corden Stops Comedy Bit To Bizarrely Vent About Sex Dolls

James Corden interrupted a “Late Late Show” bit Thursday to oddly riff on why he doesn’t “get” sex dolls. (Watch the video below.)

The host’s detour came in the midst of a segment called “Honest Headlines,” in which real news headlines are rewritten for greater comic effect. One story, titled “Sex Doll Washes Up On Beach Frightening Beach Goers,” was tweaked to say, “Lonely Metal Detector Enthusiast Has Prayers Answered.”

After delivering the punchline, Corden then seemed to go off script, insisting that he needed a minute to explain his distaste for blowups.

“I get a lot of stuff — sexually, I get it,” he said. “I’ve got a wide spectrum, and I’m like, ‘Sure, if you’re into it, rock on, buddy.’”

But, he added, “the purchasing of the sex doll is one thing I’ll never ever, ever understand. I’ll never be able to get my head around someone that’s like, ‘I think this is a good time.’”

Corden then improvised blowing up the doll and reiterated how “I’ll just never get it.”

  • James Corden Says He ‘Inadvertently’ Copied Ricky Gervais Joke Almost Word-For-Word

James Corden Says He ‘Inadvertently’ Copied Ricky Gervais Joke Almost Word-For-Word

    [ad_1]

Out of the egg yolk omelet frying pan and into the fire, James Corden has found himself at the center of yet another controversy.

The CBS talk show host has addressed allegations of plagiarism, admitting he’d “inadvertently” told a joke originally made by comedian Ricky Gervais.

“Inadvertently told a brilliant Ricky Gervais joke on the show last night, obviously not knowing it came from him,” Corden wrote on Twitter Tuesday. “It’s brilliant, because it’s a Ricky Gervais joke. You can watch all Ricky’s excellent specials on Netflix.”

During the opening monologue on “The Late Late Show” Monday evening, Corden poked fun at Elon Musk’s recent acquisition of Twitter with a nearly word-for-word gag that Gervais included in his 2018 Netflix stand-up special “Humanity.”

“When you see Elon Musk talk about Twitter, he does this thing where he goes, ‘It’s the town square,’” Corden said. “But it isn’t, because if someone puts up a poster in a town square that says ‘Guitar lessons available,’ you don’t get people in the town going: ‘I don’t wanna play the guitar!’ Well, then that sign wasn’t for you ― it was for somebody else! You don’t have to get mad about all of it.”

Viewers quickly called out Corden for directly borrowing the joke from Gervais’ stand-up show, in which Gervais used an undeniably similar analogy about guitar lessons to explain his distaste for social media.

“That’s like going into a town square, seeing a big notice board, and there’s a notice ― ‘Guitar lessons’ ― and you go, ‘But I don’t fucking want guitar lessons!’” Gervais said in his special. “Fine! It’s not for you, then. Just walk away, don’t worry about it.”

Gervais, for his part, retweeted a side-by-side video comparison of the two jokes, writing: “The bit about the town square advert for guitar lessons is brilliant.”

In response to a fan who asked Gervais whether he’d given his approval for Corden to use the joke, he wrote: “No. I reckon one of the writers ‘came up with it’ for him. I doubt he would knowingly just copy such a famous stand up routine word for word like that.”

Ultimately, Gervais didn’t seem too bothered by the glaring similarities, as he deleted his first tweet ― “Started to feel sorry for him,” he explained to a follower when asked about it ― and retweeted Corden’s apology.

The almost immediate burying of the hatchet is a bit surprising, given Gervais’ past willingness to needle Corden.

Gervais ― poking fun at Corden being barred from the New York City restaurant Balthazar over his alleged bad behavior ― recently retweeted a scene from his Netflix series “After Life.”

“James fucking Corden … Worst. Dinner party. Ever,” read the tweet accompanying the scene, in which Gervais reacts to his co-worker’s pick of top five dinner guests. (Much NSFW language is involved.)

And who can forget when Gervais took a shot at Corden during his 2020 Golden Globes monologue, joking about the actor’s critically derided performance in a certain notorious box office bomb.

“The world got to see James Corden as a fat pussy,” Gervais said on stage, barely stifling his laughter. “He was also in the movie ‘Cats.’”
