    CHICAGO (WLS) — Hours after their engagement announcement, speculation surrounding the big day for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is running wild.

    Are we talking Bezo big or backyard? Nevertheless, Swift has entered her “Bride Era,” and it appears that the Swiftie and NFL worlds are here for it.

    “I actually just received my 12th text of people being like, ‘Taylor Kelce?’” said Taylor Swift fan Shannon Duncan.

    The two fandoms are all a buzz following the Enchanted engagement announcement.

    “My sister texted me. I got a news notification. My other sister texted me,” said Taylor Swift fan Kelly Dopak. “Some lady in front of us started talking about it. She was wearing a Taylor Swift t-shirt, like, ‘How did you know this was happening today?’”

    It is official: The Prophecy has been fulfilled, and Swift and Kelce are End Game.

    “Great job Kelce. You chose well,” said Eddie Hill. “He’s one of the biggest stars in the NFL. She’s one of the biggest stars in the world. Nothings bigger than that… huge.”

    The couple dropped their engagement announcement on social media, with the caption “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

    The post showed off photos in a flower-filled garden straight out of many of our Wildest Dreams and Swift’s “So High School” as the attached sound, a scene mirroring the romanticism Swifties know All Too Well.

    Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged.

    Meta says the couple’s Instagram post broke the record for the most reposts on the social media site and got over 14 million likes just in the first hour.

    Now, Swifties worldwide are envisioning the songstress standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset for what wedding event planners have appropriately called “the Super Bowl of Weddings.”

    “Being America’s sweethearts, they are a royal couple, and I knew this was going to break the internet,” said Big City Bride Founder Susan Cordogan. “What Travis and Taylor do will be its own brand. It will be one of one that will echo through generations of events.”

    Cordogan has spent three decades planning VIP weddings and already anticipates this one will set the stage for trends for future weddings.

    “It’s not only going to be wildly influential in the wedding world; it’s going to be wildly influential in style, in decor, parties, get-togethers,” Cordogan said. “Taylor Swift is such an influence on weddings already, from her music, often the first dance to her look.”

Still, there’s been some trolling and doubts about the relationship’s authenticity. In the end, though, the couple paid it dust and kept publicly dating. Most recently, she appeared on her future brother-in-law’s podcast and talked about how hard she ignores the critics of their relationship.

As mentioned, the newly engaged couple shared their big news in a five-photo joint Instagram post on Tuesday (August 26). She showed off her stunning ring while standing in a garden with her fiancé. The superstar wore a striped Ralph Lauren dress and a Cartier diamond-encrusted watch on her left wrist.

    “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the caption read, accompanied by an emoji of a dynamite stick.

    It’s unclear when and where the two 35-year-olds got engaged, but it’s a first for them both. According to the Associated Press, an hour after hearing from their publicists about the engagement, Kelce was stretching for practice in Kansas City, Missouri.

    According to BRIDES, experts estimate the ring could cost upwards of $500,000. Meanwhile, several experts who spoke to PEOPLE estimated the price would be between $250,000 and up to $1.5 million.

    Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, said Kindred Lubeck crafted the unique piece. According to her website bio, Lubeck is a goldsmith who specializes in hand engraving and collects vintage jewelry. She is based in New York and operates Artifex Fine Jewelry. She is the daughter of Jay Lubeck, a well-known goldsmith in Neptune Beach, Florida.

    Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship featured prominently in the six-part ESPN documentary The Kingdom. The project chronicles the Chiefs’ failed pursuit of an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title last season. Kelce’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, joined him on the red carpet for the premiere last Sunday. The event took place at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.
