  • 4 Twilight Movies Find New Streaming Home Today

    [ad_1]

Four of the Twilight movies have found a new streaming home.

Based on the popular book series by Stephanie Meyer, the Twilight Saga film franchise began in 2008. There are five films that are part of the series in total, including 2008’s Twilight, 2009’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon, 2010’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, 2011’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, and 2012’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Where can four of the Twilight movies now be streamed?

The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 have all found a new streaming home, as they’re now all available to stream on HBO Max.

The first Twilight movie, meanwhile, is available to rent or purchase on digital streaming services such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and more.

The series stars Kristen Stewart as Bella, Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, Billy Burke as Charlie Swan, Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme Cullen, Ashley Greene as Ashley Cullen, Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen, Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale, and Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Hale.

The Twilight movies were hugely popular, as they collectively grossed over $3.3 billion worldwide. The first movie was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, while Chris Weitz helmed New Moon. David Slade directed Eclipse, while Bill Condon then made Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Breaking Dawn Part 2. All five movies were distributed by Summit Entertainment.

There’s been some talk about rebooting the Twilight franchise, with Lionsgate Television having announced that a TV show is in early development in 2023. There hasn’t been much news about the project since then, however, though it is worth noting that Lionsgate and Fathom Entertainment recently released all five Twilight movies in theaters this past fall.

  • Taylor Swift’s Ex-Boyfriend Just Had a Bold Reaction to Her & Travis Kelce’s Engagement Years After She Wrote a Song About ‘Missing’ Him

    [ad_1]

Taylor Swift’s got a long list of ex-boyfriends. That much we already know. There’s an entire song about it. But her recent engagement to Travis Kelce is a commitment from the singer and the football player that she won’t have any more, and that all future songs from her will either be happy… or fictional. But how do her ex-boyfriends feel about her engagement and about the fact that they will now be the only ones to get breakup songs?

Well, one of them had a very loud reaction to her engagement. A mere hours after Swift and Kelce confirmed the news that they were indeed going to tie the knot, Taylor Lautner went on social media to react to the news. The Twilight hunk reshared a post from the NFL to support his ex and her future husband, proving there’s no bad blood between them. Not at all.

Related: How much Taylor Swift’s engagement ring from Travis Kelce cost

The post from the NFL featured a split image of one of the couple’s engagement photos with one of the two on the football field, celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs winning the AFC Championship back in January of this year. The text on the photo reads: “I cannot believe this is really happening,” which is what Taylor said to Travis when his team won. The NFL captioned the post: “Same,” a clear nod to the couple’s engagement. Taylor Swift is now NFL royalty, after all.

Of all her exes, Taylor has perhaps always had the best relationship with Lautner, and the two are now reportedly very good friends. Long gone are the days when Swift sang “It turns out freedom ain’t nothing but missin’ you” after they broke up in the song “Back to December.” They briefly dated for a few months in 2009 while filming the ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day. Years later, the duo rekindled their relationship, and Lautner and his wife, Taylor Dome, are reportedly now close with the singer, which explains the social media reaction.

And these aren’t just anonymous reports, either. Swift herself confirmed it. “He was a very positive force in my life when I was making the Speak Now album, and I want to say he did every single stunt that you saw in that music video,” Swift said at her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City, as she brought Lautner on stage to premiere the music video he appears in for her song “I Can See You.” She added: “He and his wife have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all share the same first name.”

We can imagine the jokes about that.

As for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement, it might have just been announced on August 26, but a source told Page Six that Travis proposed to Taylor a “couple weeks” before the two made the announcement. An exact date hasn’t been confirmed. This, however, means Travis and Taylor likely got engaged mid-August, you know, around the time she appeared on the “New Heights” podcast hosted by the Kelce brothers and announced her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl. All in a day’s work when you’re Taylor Swift, apparently.

Even her friends don’t really seem surprised if they’re joking about it. Just really happy for her.

  • Calvin Harris’s Wife, Vick Hope, Listens to His Ex-Girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Music “As Soon As” He Leaves

Calvin Harris’s Wife, Vick Hope, Listens to His Ex-Girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Music “As Soon As” He Leaves

    [ad_1]

Some pleasures are guiltier than others. And for Vick Hope, wife of Calvin Harris, hers include songs by a certain famous ex-flame of her spouse.

“As soon as my husband goes away, I listen to Taylor Swift,” Hope revealed Monday on the BBC radio show she co-hosts, Going Home with Vick, Katie, and Jamie.

“That’s just when I get my little fill—just a little fill,” she said. “Just a couple of songs, get it out of my system and then it’s done.”

Swift and Harris dated in 2015 and 2016, even collaborating on the eventual Rihanna-Harris track, “This Is What You Came For.” Swift has a writing credit on the song under a pseudonym, Nils Sjoberg, and, in a now-deleted 2016 tweet after their breakup, Harris said she “sings on a little bit of it too” and added that Swift “smashed it as usual.” Sounds nice! Reader, it didn’t stay nice.

As the saying goes, all is fair in love, war, and deleted social media missives about your also-very-famous ex-girlfriend. Harris’s thread, which linked to an article about Swift’s contributions to the track, continued.

“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though,” he wrote. “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do…I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

He’s referencing, of course, the prior bad blood between Swift and fellow popster Katy Perry, allegedly the basis for Swift’s song—you guessed it!—”Bad Blood.” For what it’s worth, Swift and Perry seem to have buried the hatchet, with Perry enthusiastically sharing selfies of her and Swift at an Eras Tour date in Australia earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Swift walked right past Harris in the audience at this year’s Grammy Awards, where later in the evening he watched her scoop up a record fourth Album of the Year award

Of course, Harris isn’t the only of Swift’s ex-flames to marry a fan. Taylor Lautner, who was linked to Swift for a few months in late 2009, is married to Taylor Dome, who has made no secret of her love for Swift. Lautner and Swift are also friendly, with Lautner even making a surprise appearance and doing backflips onstage at her July 7, 2023 Eras Tour stop at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium to introduce the “I Can See You” music video, which he also appeared in. Taylors gotta stick together, you know? (The very next night, Swift’s latest beau, Travis Kelce, attended the show as a fan and legendarily shot his shot with the singer. It appears to have worked out so far.)

The three Taylors are now friends, with Dome saying last summer of the musician, “She’s hysterical. It’s been so fun to get to know her.”

  • ‘Twilight’ Was Always a Beautifully Weird Indie in Blockbuster Clothing

‘Twilight’ Was Always a Beautifully Weird Indie in Blockbuster Clothing

    [ad_1]

When people think of the first Twilight movie, their minds inevitably drift not to an action sequence or special-effects-driven set piece, but to the baseball scene. That’s where we learn that vampires can only engage in America’s favorite pastime during a heavy storm, because their super-speed and strength capabilities can only be sheathed beneath thunder and lightning. The two-and-a-half minute scene relies on a moody blue filter, some in-camera slo-mo, and Muse’s “Supermassive Black Hole.” In between takes, the cast say they speculated about the production’s fate. “We were like, ‘Man, I wonder if anybody’s going to see this film,’” Peter Facinelli, who played coven patriarch Carlisle Cullen, has previously said. “We were doing this little vampire movie in the woods.”

Based on Stephanie Meyers’s best-selling novel, the film premiered in November 2008 to $69 million in its opening weekend, eventually grossing more than $400 million worldwide. It was a box office hit for indie studio Summit Entertainment and spawned four more films based on Meyers’s books—2009’s New Moon, 2010’s Eclipse, 2011’s Breaking Dawn–Part 1, and 2012’s Breaking Dawn–Part 2. The franchise generated more than $3 billion total and spawned other YA franchises like The Hunger Games and Divergent, as well as the Fifty Shades franchise, which was based on Twilight fan fiction.

The series was unavoidably popular, but also easy to poke fun at. Because it was created by and for women, the plot was often reduced to the love triangle between Kristen Stewart’s mortal Bella, Robert Pattinson’s vampire Edward, and Taylor Lautner’s werewolf Jacob. Movie marketing fueled by the Team Edward versus Team Jacob debate didn’t help matters. Fifteen years before the pop cultural dominance and subsequent respect earned by ventures like Barbie or Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, even valid criticism of Twilight was drowned out by the prevailing notion that art targeted towards a predominantly female audience should be stigmatized.

Tides started to turn in 2020 with the publication of a new Twilight book from Meyer, a Netflix streaming deal for the original films, and a global pandemic that had the world indoors and eager to escape. The rise of TikTok, where the Twilight hashtag has upwards of 28 billion views, gave way to nostalgic trends about the movies. Those who once felt shame about their fandom could reclaim the movies, and those who weren’t old enough to experience the initial fervor were exposed to Twilight secondhand. Take this comment under a clip of the movie’s baseball scene on YouTube: “POV: you saw a TikTok recreation and came to check how accurate it was.”

Evidence of Twilight’s endurance is plentiful. Fans are flocking to Forks, Washington (where the series takes place) in record numbers. “In 2022 we had the biggest year, tourism-wise that we’ve had since 2010, and we’ve already beat out those numbers as of this September,” Lissy Andros, the executive director of the Forks Chamber of Commerce, recently told Wired. “Probably 65% of visitors to Forks come because of Twilight.”

Taylor Lautner Celebrates First Wedding Anniversary With Wife Taylor Dome Lautner

    [ad_1]

Taylor Lautner is singing praises to his wife, Taylor Dome Lautner, in honor of their first wedding anniversary.

On Saturday, the “Twilight” star, 31, highlighted the special milestone by posting a touching tribute to her on Instagram.

“365 days of having the honor to call you my wife. Each day I somehow become a little more grateful. Thank you for putting up with me, I know it ain’t always easy ;),” he wrote alongside a photo of the duo holding hands while walking through a stream of white flowers at their 2022 wedding ceremony.

He added: “Love you so much! Let’s crush year 2! 👊🏽”.

“The Squeeze” podcast host, who goes by Tay, dished out a heartfelt message of her own to her hubby on social media, complete with a video montage of their wedding day.

“My bestest friend, happy 1 year wedding anniversary!” the 26-year-old captioned her Instagram post. “Being your wife is my absolute favorite thing. I never thought I’d find a love like yours🤍✨”

The two Taylors first met after the “Abduction” actor’s sister introduced them to each other.

“She called me and said, ‘Dude, I found your future wife. You need to meet this girl.’ And the rest is history,” Lautner told People back in January 2022.

The couple made their relationship public in October 2018 after going Instagram official while showing off their matching Tune Squad “Space Jam” Halloween costumes.

Lautner later married Tay in November 2022, exactly one year after proposing.

  • Taylor Lautner’s Backflip At Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Movie Screening Has Social Media In Stitches

Taylor Lautner’s Backflip At Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Movie Screening Has Social Media In Stitches

    [ad_1]

Just the mere mention of Taylor Swift can send many fans into an excited frenzy, but the internet thinks the singer’s ex, Taylor Lautner, might have taken his enthusiasm just a bit too far.

While stopping by a movie theater for the opening weekend of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” the actor, who dated the 12-time Grammy winner briefly back in 2009, hit a full-on backflip at a showing of the highly anticipated concert movie.

Lautner’s wife, Tay Lautner, reportedly shared several videos of her husband showing off his acrobatic moves in front of their friends on her Instagram stories on Saturday.

The clips kicked off a whole lot of hilarious memes from social media users on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Showing off his agility appears to be the “Twilight” alum’s signature party trick considering he busted out the same move at one of the “Cruel Summer” crooner’s Kansas City tour stops back in July after Swift invited him on stage.

But unlike his stunt at Swift’s screening, Lautner admitted his backflip at the concert was totally unplanned.

“What happened is I walked through the door, I waved to the crowd and then I started walking,” the “Abduction” star explained to his wife on their podcast “The Squeeze.” “I probably took, like, four or five steps, and I looked down at where Taylor, Joey (King) and Presley (Cash) were standing, and this runway in her show takes up 70% of the football field.”

“I think I panicked,” he added in the July 19 episode. “I think I was imagining me having to walk that far and just, I got nervous and for some odd reason my brain gets nervous and freaks out about having to walk, so …”

His wife then interjected, saying, “So what’s the next best option to walking?” to which he replied, “Flipping.”

The Lautner’s first went public with their relationship in 2018. The teen heartthrob later proposed to her in November 2021. They got married at Epoch Estate Wines, outside of Paso Robles, California, just a year later.

  • What Should Come Across As Carnal Is Only Creepy and Unsettling in Taylor Swift’s “I Can See You” Video

What Should Come Across As Carnal Is Only Creepy and Unsettling in Taylor Swift’s “I Can See You” Video

    [ad_1]

It’s appropriate that Taylor Swift should feel comfortable, only now, with releasing “I Can See You” from “the vault” of her Speak Now era. For, even though it was a time in her life when she was reconciling with the raging urge to acknowledge that “ho is life,” it was never her “brand” to fully embrace such a “persona.” That was more Britney Spears’ thing, which she whole-heartedly executed on her own third album, Britney. This complete with the skin-baring aesthetics of “I’m A Slave 4 U,” “Overprotected” and “Boys.” Swift, however, was always about the long, flowing dresses that only ever allowed her arm skin to be showcased. Instead favoring the idea of “letting her songs speak (now)” for her, instead of her body.

If that’s still to be the case with “I Can See You,” then Swift is saying far more than her “flesh” ever could. Even so, the chanteuse bears more skin than she ever would have in 2010 during her appearance in this video, in which she’s joined by co-stars Taylor Lautner, Joey King and Presley Cash (the latter two having previously appeared in the video for Swift’s Speak Now single, “Mean”). It is Cash who serves as the getaway car (or van, in this case) driver of the outfit, watching her surveillance screens from inside the vehicle as King exits into the dark, empty street. As she approaches the premises, Cash fiddles with the computer keyboard to ensure King can gain entry into the building where Swift is being held in captivity. But Swift The Person is a symbol of Swift The Body of Work in this scenario.

Locked in a literal vault—fitting, as this song is “from the vault”—Swift sits with her knees almost pressed to her chest, showcasing an arm with the “Long Live” lyric, “I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you.” This being a clear nod to her fans and her team of handlers that continue to make all of this possible. It’s obviously King’s job to extract Swift from the vault in which she (and her talent) is wasting away. So it is that she must pull a Virginia Baker (Catherine Zeta-Jones) in Entrapment or Baron François Toulour (Vincent Cassel) in Ocean’s Twelve maneuver by dancing around some lasers designed to set off the alarm system if any movement is detected. When she makes it through the rather easy-to-navigate barrage of lasers, what King finds is a museum-like display of numerous Speak Now-era outfits, some of which aren’t even Swift’s own—like the white dress King wore in the “Mean” video.

All at once, Lautner jumps down from the ceiling behind her, apparently there to help with Operation Set Taylor Free (#FreeTaylor, if you prefer). Meanwhile, we see Swift ticking off another mark on the wall of the vault, indicating how many days she’s been trapped inside. But now that she knows reinforcements are on the way, she has no hesitation with setting off the “alarm” (a bevy of security guards) by pulling the curtain off a framed photo of her new Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) album cover. And yes, it appears intentional that Swift wants to make it come across like some Mona Lisa-esque painting in terms of appearance, therefore value. After all, her entire aim with reclaiming the rights to her masters is to make people—fans, suits, whoever—understand the full weight of her worth. After all, this is the woman who once wrote, “Music is art, and art is important and rare. Important, rare things are valuable. Valuable things should be paid for.” Swift didn’t feel her valuable art was being paid for at Big Machine Records. Quite the opposite, in fact. No, instead she was being ripped off, stolen from. Which is why it’s apropos that, in this video, she decides to steal back her work (represented by the framed album cover in the “I Can See You” video).

As the security goons are fought off by King and Lautner, Swift can feel them getting closer, edging toward completing the rescue mission. Because, lest anyone forget, Speak Now was rife with a fairytale motif. And fairytales are nothing if not founded upon a girl “being rescued.” As the duo approaches the vault, Swift presses her ear against it as they proceed to take out all the tools necessary to rig up the vault with some heavy-duty explosives that will, at last, free Taylor.

Emerging from the smoke with a wide-eyed expression of wonderment, she smiles gratefully at King and Lautner before they all run out of the building as everything else starts to crumble and fall. The building, too, explodes once they’re outside. Swift looks back at the wreckage before getting into the van and being whisked away across a bridge and into her new, liberated future.

As far as tying in with the lyrics, the video has little to do with the hyper-sexual tint of verses like, “But what would you do if I went to touch you now?/What would you do if they never found us out?/What would you do if we never made a sound?” Overtly referring to the arousal of “secret sex,” Swift then alludes to a person she used to be in songs such as “You Belong With Me,” this time singing from the perspective of the admired person who knows she’s being admired from afar. Yet she turns the dynamic on its ear by saying that she does, indeed, see the “stolen glances” and “faroff gazes” cast in her direction by this “wallflower” as she sings, “I can see you waitin’ down the hall from me/And I could see you up against the wall with me/And what would you do?/Baby, if you only knew/That I can see you.” Probably shit a brick, that’s what.

Perhaps un-coincidentally, Swift conveys certain lines in the same intonation as “she wears short skirts and I wear t-shirts” from “You Belong With Me.” This further evincing the notion that she knows all too well what it’s like to be the person who thinks no one can see her admiring from afar. So it is that she says in a “You Belong With Me” “inflection,” “And I could see you being my addiction/You can see me as a secret mission/Hide away and I will start behaving myself.” With a backbeat that sounds slightly like a tamer version of The Clash’s “London Calling,” the single is a vast departure from anything else of the Speak Now oeuvre, and Swift seems to want it that way. For it only serves to make this Taylor’s Version all her own. Distinct from the original Speak Now not just because her girlish country twang can’t be recreated, but because it reveals the range she was already capable of before Red.

Although “I Can See You” bears lyrics that are meant to allude to sizing up a not-so-secret admirer and indulging in one’s own fantasies about what it might be like to blow their mind by reciprocating the lust, in the present, “I Can See You” as a title (and music video) has more sinister implications. Not just that Swift now sees how she was wronged by her label, but how we’re all being seen constantly. Whether we want to be or not. Swift, to be sure, still wants to be. Only now, it’s become far less “cute”/“endearing”/“arousing” and much more Big Brother-y. As Lana Del Rey once said, “Look at you looking at me/I know you know how I feel.” And something about that is all too meta (in the Zuckerberg sense as well) in its unsettling nature.

  • Taylor Lautner ‘Prays’ For John Mayer On TikTok Ahead Of Taylor Swift’s Release

Taylor Lautner ‘Prays’ For John Mayer On TikTok Ahead Of Taylor Swift’s Release

    [ad_1]

Taylor Swift’s forthcoming album is already bringing ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner to his knees nearly two months ahead of its release.

Lautner’s wife, Tay Dome Lautner, set off a fan frenzy Wednesday when she posted a TikTok video of her husband kneeling beside a bed with his hands clasped together as Swift’s song “Dear John” plays in the background.

“#prayforjohn,” she wrote in the caption.

Lautner was making good on his pledge to “pray” for another one of Swift’s exes: John Mayer.

Swift dated the “Your Body Is A Wonderland” singer-songwriter sometime between 2009 and 2010, and many believe the song “Dear John” is about their brief romance.

Mayer responded to the speculation in a 2012 Rolling Stone interview, dismissing “Dear John” as “cheap songwriting” that made him feel “really humiliated.”

Lautner and Swift dated in 2009 and co-starred in the 2010 romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day.” Their relationship is said to have inspired another “Speak Now” track, “Back to December.”

When asked by Today.com Tuesday if he was concerned about Swift fan discourse that will inevitably result from the July rerelease of “Speak Now,” the “Twilight” actor replied: “I think it’s a great album. Yeah, I feel safe. Praying for John.”

Since 2021, Swift has been rereleasing her first six albums after she said she was unable to buy the master recordings of the originals. To date, she’s rereleased “Taylor’s Versions” of 2008’s “Fearless” and 2012’s “Red.”

The 12-time Grammy winner, who is currently making her way across the U.S. on her sold-out Eras Tour, may also be at work on some new music with a rumored beau.

Earlier this week, Swift was spotted exiting New York’s Electric Lady Studios with Matty Healy, frontman of the British pop-rock band The 1975. The two have been romantically linked in the media in recent weeks following Swift’s split with actor Joe Alwyn.
