Conservatives Reveal Why They’re So Triggered By Pride Merchandise

“God, I don’t even know. I’m so angry, and I’m so tired of being angry. Maybe it’s that my father hit me, and never showed any compassion. Maybe it’s because I was taught to hate people different from me as if it were their fault that I deal with the things I deal with. Regardless, I’m blind with rage at these pride-branded Uno cards, and I’m not going to stop.

  • I Asked My Fashion Friends Which Skims Pieces Are Actually Life-Changing

I Asked My Fashion Friends Which Skims Pieces Are Actually Life-Changing

    [ad_1]

Lately, it feels like I can’t go one conversation about either basics and shapewear without someone raving about Skims. The funny thing is, I have not yet tried the popular brand, so I have admittedly felt a little out of the loop. This left me asking my circle of fashion friends which of the pieces they swear by. Sure enough, most of them are die-hard fans and even collectors. This, of course, is no surprise with the incredible rise of Skims.

A huge reason for that success, according to my friends, is the fact that all the pieces provide comfort without sacrificing style, thanks to the practical and effortless designs that are made in soft fabrics. We’re talking comfy thongs, versatile tops and body suits, cotton basics, effective shapewear, and so much more. Another welcome detail: the collections come in a wide range of sizes, which is always appreciated. Keep scrolling to check out thirty-one of the best Skims pieces to check out now.

  • Walmart Pulls Unintentionally Offensive T-Shirt From Its Stores | Entrepreneur

Walmart Pulls Unintentionally Offensive T-Shirt From Its Stores | Entrepreneur

    [ad_1]

The T-shirt was supposed to celebrate clean living. But a Walmart shopper noticed that it also contained a very dirty word.

“I need this shirt before Walmart realizes what they have done. Find the hidden word,” Tweeted @whosurdaddienow

Walmart found it and promptly yanked the T-shirt from its racks.

“This was not intentional, and the T-shirt has been removed,” a spokesperson for Walmart told Newsweek.

An image of the shirt remains on Twitter, garnering over 2.5 million views and counting.

    ‘Not intentional’

What’s the kerfuffle about? The $5 pro-environment shirt was emblazoned with an all-caps “RE” alongside the words “cycle” “use” “new,” and “think.” Upon closer inspection, however, shoppers noticed that the first letter of each word inadvertently spelled the c-word.

This is not the first time Walmart has had to remove an offensive item from its store. Earlier this year, the retail giant pulled a pair of men’s hiking boots from its website after customers complained of a bright red “KKK” logo written on the tongue.

  • Employees Are Auctioning Off Their SVB Merch on eBay | Entrepreneur

Employees Are Auctioning Off Their SVB Merch on eBay | Entrepreneur

    [ad_1]

How bad are things at Silicon Valley Bank? Ex-employees are auctioning company merchandise on eBay to make a quick buck.

Some SVB items include a tattered blue cardboard box with the letters “SVB” emblazoned on it. Asking price: $201.

“Box received after getting offer letter one month before the bank blew up. Need to pay rent this month, please,” writes the seller, elonmusk.

If a used turquoise cardboard box from a failed bank isn’t on your wish list, shoppers can purchase a stainless steel SVP wine tumbler for $59.

Want the two tumblers and bottle set? That will cost you $188.50.

“Given to SVB employees in 2021. An authentic piece of SVB history,” says the seller.

    SVB swag fire sale

The bank collapsed last Friday after a $42 billion bank run, causing the Federal government to take control of SVP over the weekend.

Now some former employees hope there’s a run on SVP-branded swag.

One person claiming to have worked in SVB’s analytics department was selling a used coffee mug, with the message: “Buying this mug helps me out but also gets you a piece of history to one of the fastest banking failures in US history. This mug was used on the day-to-day and shows signs of wear.”

Not all the SVB items are authentic. Some opportunists are cashing in on the tragedy. A seller named Staceys_68 is selling a Silicon Valley Bank SVB 2023 Shirt FDIC 250k.

Others are selling gear supposedly from the Silicon Valley Bank Risk Management Department.

But beware, the seller warns: “Because of high season, there are some colors runs out of stock, we will contact you if that color is out-stock.”

  • How to Shrink a Shirt to the Perfect Size

How to Shrink a Shirt to the Perfect Size

    [ad_1]

There are a couple of effective methods for shrinking a shirt, and one of the easiest is by boiling it. Simply heat up a pot of water, then shut off the stove as soon as it reaches a boil. Drop the T-shirt in the water immediately and let it sit for about five minutes.

If you’re looking for a more serious degree of shrinkage, you can leave the shirt in the water for up to 20 minutes. The longer the shirt is left in the water, the further it will shrink, but obviously, there’s a limit to this magic. Most shirts will only shrink up to a maximum of 20% in size.

Once you’re finished soaking the shirt, remove it from the water using a pair of tongs or a wooden spoon. Once the shirt has cooled off enough to touch, wring it out and examine your progress. The boiling process can be repeated as many times as you need to achieve the desired results.

  • I Tried the 3 Best-Selling White T-Shirts on Who What Wear—Here Are My Thoughts

I Tried the 3 Best-Selling White T-Shirts on Who What Wear—Here Are My Thoughts

    [ad_1]

I wrote a story about the best-selling items on Who What Wear, which included a stylish variety of products, from $3 Amazon pearl hair clips to a $70 five-star nude bra to $215 ultra-soft skinny jeans. But there was one product that made an appearance three times and sold the most units compared to any other item. You may be surprised to hear it’s one of the simplest items we all own in our closet: the basic white tee.

According to our data team, these three T-shirts below have been consistent best sellers with our readers. They range from $7 to $90 and all possess a similar silhouette: short sleeves, a crew-neck, and a slightly loose fit through the body.

But we all know that not all white tees are created equal, and as someone who essentially lives in white tees seven days a week, I was eager to test-drive them for myself. If you’re on the hunt for a perfect white tee, scroll below to see my thoughts on the best sellers—listed in order of my favorites—and shop more of the best white tees on the market right now.

  • Hailey Bieber Claps Back at the Internet With a ‘Nepo Baby’ Tee

Hailey Bieber Claps Back at the Internet With a ‘Nepo Baby’ Tee

    [ad_1]

Barefaced and strutting in her usual chicness somewhere in Los Angeles, Hailey Bieber just debuted a fashion clapback to recent internet drama (with help from a nearby paparazzi, of course). Paired with her dusty blue low-rise jeans and Prada shoulder bag is a white t-shirt that reads, “Nepo Baby.”

Taken from the word nepotism, “nepo baby” is a hot word in Hollywood and fashion right now, especially when discussing the recent phenomenon of celebrity children taking over modeling. As the latest group to catch a blaze from internet heat, nepo babies have been called out for the past several months as people point to privilege and power dynamics across industries, even earning New York Magazine cover story.

  • I Recorded What I Wore for a Month, and Found I Wore These 5 Basics Most

I Recorded What I Wore for a Month, and Found I Wore These 5 Basics Most

    [ad_1]

As a fashion editor, you tend to be well aware of all the pieces that live in your closet, but it’s not until you stop and take a moment to document what you wear over a period of time, that you get a true sense of what you end up reaching for the most. I did exactly that over the past month, and it became clear more than ever that basics reign supreme in my wardrobe. It’s no wonder either, as I am a huge proponent of wearing pieces that are not only timeless, but comfortable to boot—as a mom to two little ones, it is key.

My goal when putting together outfits is to be able to keep the ensemble easy without sacrificing style. Enter five of the stylish basics I wore the most over a month. There’s the classic white button-down shirt, which is great worn on it’s own or layered over a look. Then, I found that I didn’t go the whole stretch without wearing black leggings at some point throughout the day. What can I say, I am a creature of habit. Keep scrolling to see the other basics I can’t live without, plus outfit ideas on how to wear each.

  • The Underrated Yet Extremely Essential Basic I’m Buying on the Cheap

The Underrated Yet Extremely Essential Basic I’m Buying on the Cheap

    [ad_1]

There are some fashion items that are so rudimentary that I can never remember to buy them, and when I really need them and tell myself to order them, I forget as soon as I see a bright, shiny object to order instead. Know what I mean? In this case, the thing I always forget to buy but always need (this time of year especially) is long-sleeve T-shirts—both solid and striped. The ones I wear the most usually have a crew-neck, and I find that owning a combination of fitted and oversize ones will do you the most service.

My observation is that long-sleeve T-shirts often get overshadowed by short-sleeve tees, sweatshirts, and sweaters. But when you need to layer or when you need something that’s not too warm but not too light, your best bet is a long-sleeve tee. In case you need to be reminded just how essential they are to an outfit, I found a whole slew of examples for you. And in case you need to stock up on them, I’m sharing 16 of my current favorites, most of which are under $100. Scroll to be convinced.

  • The Best Fits At The Game Awards 2022

The Best Fits At The Game Awards 2022

    [ad_1]

Sydnee Goodman at The Game Awards

“Everyone is talking about drip tonight, Geoff, it’s incredible.”
Screenshot: The Game Awards / Kotaku

Two days ago, in the days leading up to The Game Awards 2022, I wrote about how the wildly inconsistent fashion at the event was indicative of the industry’s identity crisis. Things quickly got out of hand.

The discourse machine revved up and began spinning at an impossibly fast rate: Nintendo president Doug Bowser tweeted at me, Xbox president Phil Spencer replied to the thread and confirmed he is now aware of what Mike Mercante wears to go get bagels, everyone was weighing in on the “T-shirt with a blazer” fit, and the word “drip” was learned and subsequently overused by half the industry.

Other publications wrote about the discourse, developers weighed in, and the lead-up to The Game Awards became less about speculation over which game would win GOTY (spoilers: it was Elden Ring) and more about whether or not Josef Fares would wear a skin-tight t-shirt again (spoilers: he didn’t).

Ultimately, it seems like my call-out worked. Numerous people who attended the event told me via DM that I shamed attendees into dressing better. The presenters and on-stage talent at this year’s Game Awards were almost uniformly sharper-dressed than in previous years, and even Phil Spencer seemed to be wearing a slightly more formal outfit.

The Game Awards is a chance to have fun with fashion and to lean into the themes that are so often in the games the night is celebrating, so it was great to see some people really doing that last night. That’s why I decided to highlight the best-dressed attendees and honorees at gaming’s biggest night. You all did amazing, sweeties.

Irina Shayk Just Styled a White Tee in a Way I Never Saw Coming

    [ad_1]

Ever considered, even for a moment, wearing a white t-shirt to a black-tie event? That breaks, like, a million etiquette rules, right? Well, maybe not anymore.

Irina Shayk just upended everything we thought we knew about evening wear with an elegant outfit centered around a plain white tee and a Swarovski crystal necklace. Her understated but eye-catching look stood out at a party celebrating the Swarovski holiday collection with The Mark hotel on New York City’s Upper East Side. Notably, Shayk kept her beauty look simple with natural-looking makeup and slicked-back hair, which allowed her accessories to do the sparkling

As the holiday season quickly approaches, we’re always on the lookout for new outfit ideas, and Shayk certainly delivered some easy-to-execute inspiration. Keep scrolling to shop a selection of black maxi skirts, crystal chokers, black boots, and of course, opera gloves to pair with your favorite white t-shirt at any upcoming evening event.

    Press Release

    updated: Aug 7, 2019

August 7th through August 30th, “New Hope Now” will hold a T-shirt fundraising event called “Have a Heart” through Custom Ink. T-shirts will ship directly after the fundraiser is completed.

The T-shirt fundraiser will help gather funds for this much-needed charity.  100% of all proceeds raised by “New Hope Now” will be used to feed the homeless and help families and individuals within the northern California area. The organization will purchase gift cards from local restaurants that will be handed out to the homeless so they may enjoy a meal.

Tricia Devaux, Founder of “New Hope Now,” started the non-profit organization in 2012 working with local Christian churches and donations from individuals. The organization has continuously provided food for the homeless with gift cards for free meals, clothing and financial assistance to help with rent and utility bills.  These are just a few examples of support that “New Hope Now” provides for families in need.

With so many people struggling to survive or turn their lives around, generous donations from the community allow this heart and Christ-centered organization to continue its good work. What “New Hope Now” seeks to do is sponsor families and singles starting over, one family at a time.

“New Hope Now wants to offer services to give people hope for a better life,” says Tricia.  “Through  generous giving to New Hope Now, 90% of all donations are used for charity.”
