  • Tori Brixx Denies Sending Summer Walker Plentiful Pizza Hut Orders Amid Their Rich The Kid ‘Side Chick’ Conundrum

Summer Walker and Tori Brixx are locked in a heated public feud involving rapper Rich the Kid, and somehow, Pizza Hut has ended up in the middle of the mess. On Nov. 22, Walker jumped on Instagram to call out Brixx after claiming the DJ and model sent Pizza Hut boxes to her house. This happened just days after Walker revealed she’d used the nickname “Pizza Hut” as a code for her secret link-ups with Rich the Kid, who is engaged to Brixx.

Walker, who dated the 33-year-old rapper in 2024, posted photos of the pizza boxes she says appeared at her doorstep. She then publicly accused Tori of harassment, suggesting Brixx intentionally stirred up drama days after the release of her album Finally Over It.

In an Instagram Story, the 29-year-old singer wrote:

“So you harassed me off text free app while I was in the club last night having a time, not even thinking about you & now sending pizzas to my house after telling me you have my address,” adding:

“So it’s giving, restraining order. Like your literally having a psychotic break over a man who literally is obsessed with me & 14 other women. Like, I really can’t figure out your issue with me specifically, instead of taking it up with him. I gave him back yesterday, babe. Now your dragging it. Like I’m really over the internet stuff, but ima put this here for the world n police to see in case you really decide to lose your mind.”

Walker went on to accuse the Instagram model of having “a mental break” over Rich the Kid.

“Like you’re literally having a mental break over a man who is obsessed with me & 14 other women. Like, I really can’t figure out your issue with me specifically, instead of taking it up with him.”

Summer then doubled down on her stance about preferring the “sidepiece” role, arguing that being the main partner comes with unnecessary chaos:

“This why I’ll wanna be the side, why would I EVER wanna be main, look at your life, this must [be] so stressful for you up every night going through that man phone finding a new b*h every week to embarrass you lol SAD very sad life to live.”

Here’s how Tori Brixx responded to Walker’s Pizza Hut allegations.

Tori didn’t stay silent. Hours later, the 35-year-old fired back online, insisting she wasn’t the one behind the Pizza Hut hoax.

“I didn’t send this hoe no pizzas, if I send some shit to her crib, it wouldn’t be pizzas. Call the police and have them check the cameras or card for purchase,” she wrote in the comments section of The Shade Room after the outlet posted the story. This hoe having a breakdown. I wasn’t in the way of anything she had going on. She just didn’t like the truth once it was out. How she upset w/ me because the audio comes out of her begging?”

Brixx also claimed she had receipts from 2023 and 2025, including one “from last week” in which Summer allegedly cried about her, adding: “Just stop Summer, you weird AF.”

She also alleged that Summer has been harassing her for two years and sent a shady message to the singer, citing the Pizza Hut nickname she wanted Rich The Kid to save in his phone.

“We are engaged and you know that. It was my choice not to get married because Rich and I had a few hiccups, and I knew we had a few things we needed to work on as a family. I’m not in a rush to get married and then have to get a divorce but what I do with MY man in MY household is none of your business Pizza Hut.”

Why are Summer Walker and Tori Brixx beefing?

Their latest explosion comes shortly after an audio leak surfaced, allegedly featuring Summer telling Rich the Kid to keep cheating on Tori with her.

The messages imply their situationship took place sometime between 2023 and 2025, according to details obtained by The Shade Room. Photos later emerged of the two on an undercover trip to Italy. In the audio reportedly recorded in July, Summer can be heard saying:

“You know, when you have time […] we always have a good time. You treat me so good, I treat you so good.”

She also expressed that she was glad Rich and Tori patched things up before their engagement in 2019, but she expressed that she wanted to continue seeing him privately:

“I’m so glad that y’all are back together. I want y’all to be together forever, and I just wanna f-k with you.”

She even asked him to buy her a new phone and store her number as “Pizza Hut” so Tori wouldn’t find out.

And where is Rich the Kid in all this?

Rich has largely stayed away from the online chaos. But after the leaked voice notes went viral — and Summer spoke on Instagram Live, accusing Tori of spilling the beans about their past while declaring that she “just wants to be the side”

he hopped on his own stream, accusing Summer of blowing up his phone. Summer snapped back in The Shade Room’s comments, saying she only called to understand why Tori tried to expose her:

“Yeah calling tryna figure why the hell u just let her do that… lol ain’t nobody calling about you.”

What’s your take on this wild back-and-forth between Summer Walker and Tori Brixx?

  • What to Stream: ‘Freakier Friday,’ NF, ‘Landman,’ ‘Palm Royale’ and Black Ops 7

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan re-teaming as the body-swapping mother and daughter duo in “Freakier Friday” and albums from 5 Seconds of Summer and the rapper NF are some of the new television, films, music and games headed to a device near you.

Also among the streaming offerings worth your time this week, as selected by The Associated Press’ entertainment journalists: Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys team up for the new limited-series thriller “The Beast in Me,” gamers get Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Apple TV’s star-studded “Palm Royale” is back.

New movies to stream from Nov. 10-16

    — Richard Linklater’s love letter to the French New Wave and the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s “Breathless,” “Nouvelle Vague,” will be streaming on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 14. In his review, Associated Press Film Writer Jake Coyle writes that, “To a remarkable degree, Linklater’s film, in French and boxed into the Academy ratio, black-and-white style of ‘Breathless,’ has fully imbibed that spirit, resurrecting one of the most hallowed eras of movies to capture an iconoclast in the making. The result is something endlessly stylish and almost absurdly uncanny.”

    — Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan re-team as the body-swapping mother and daughter duo in “Freakier Friday,” a sequel to their 2003 movie, streaming on Disney+ on Wednesday. In her review, Jocelyn Noveck writes, “The chief weakness of ‘Freakier Friday’ — an amiable, often joyful and certainly chaotic reunion — is that while it hews overly closely to the structure, storyline and even dialogue of the original, it tries too hard to up the ante. The comedy is thus a bit more manic, and the plot machinations more overwrought (or sometimes distractingly silly).”

    — Ari Aster’s latest nightmare “Eddington” is set in a small, fictional New Mexico town during the coronavirus pandemic, which becomes a kind of microcosm for our polarized society at large with Joaquin Phoenix as the sheriff and Pedro Pascal as its mayor. In my review, I wrote that, “it is an anti-escapist symphony of masking debates, conspiracy theories, YouTube prophets, TikTok trends and third-rail topics in which no side is spared.”

    — An incurable cancer diagnoses might not be the most obvious starting place for a funny and affirming film, but that is the magic of Ryan White’s documentary “Come See Me in the Good Light,” about two poets, Andrea Gibson, who died in July, and Megan Falley, facing a difficult reality together. It will be on Apple TV on Friday, Nov. 14.

New music to stream from Nov. 10-16

    — There’s nothing worse than a band without a sense of humor. Thankfully 5 Seconds of Summer are in on the joke. Their sixth studio album, “Everyone’s a Star!,” sounds like the Australian pop-rock band are having fun again, from The Prodigy-esq. “Not OK” to the self-referential and effacing “Boy Band.” Candor is their provocation now, and it sounds good — particularly after the band has spent the last few years exploring solo projects.

    — The R&B and neo soul powerhouse Summer Walker has returned with her third studio album and first in four years. “Finally Over It,” out Friday, Nov. 14, is the final chapter of her “Over It” trilogy; a release centered on transformation and autonomy. That’s evident from the dreamy throwback single, “Heart of A Woman,” in which the song’s protagonist is disappointed with her partner — but with striking self-awareness. “In love with you but can’t stand your ways,” she sings. “And I try to be strong/But how much can I take?”

    — Consider him one of the biggest artists on the planet that you may not be familiar with. NF, the musical moniker of Nate Feuerstein, emerged from the Christian rap world a modern answer to Eminem only to top the mainstream, all-genre Billboard 200 chart twice, with 2017’s “Perception” and 2019’s “The Search.” On Friday, Nov. 14, he’ll release “Fear,” a new six-track EP featuring mgk (formerly Machine Gun Kelly) and the English singer James Arthur.

New series to stream from Nov. 10-16

    — Apple TV’s star-studded “Palm Royale” is back just in time for a new social season. Starring Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Kaia Gerber, Ricky Martin AND Carol Burnett, the show is campy, colorful and fun, plus it has great costumes. Wiig plays Maxine, a woman desperate to be accepted into high society in Palm Beach, Florida, in the late 1960s. The first episode streams Wednesday and one will follow weekly into January.

    — “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” cast member Heather Gay has written a book called “Bad Mormon” about how she went from a devout Mormon to leaving the church. Next, she’s fronting a new docuseries that delves into that too called “Surviving Mormonism with Heather Gay.” The reality TV star also speaks to others who have left the religion. All three episodes drop Wednesday on Peacock.

    — Thanks to “Homeland” and “The Americans,” Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys helped put the prestige in the term prestige TV. They grace the screen together in a new limited-series for Netflix called “The Beast in Me.” Danes plays a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer who finds a new subject in her next door neighbor, a real estate tycoon who also may or may not have killed his first wife. Howard Gordon, who worked with Danes on “Homeland,” is also the showrunner and an executive producer of “The Beast in Me.” It premieres Thursday.

    — David Duchovny and Jack Whitehall star in a new thriller on Prime Video called “Malice.” Duchovny plays Jamie, a wealthy man vacationing with his family in Greece. He hires a tutor (played by Whitehall) named Adam to work with the kids who seems likable, personable and they invite him into their world. Soon it becomes apparent that Adam’s charm is actually creepy. Something is up. As these stories go, getting rid of an interloper is never easy. All six episodes drop Friday, Nov. 14.

“Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” returns to Fox Nation on Sunday, Nov. 16 for a second season. The premiere details the story of Saint Patrick. The show is a passion project for Scorsese who executive produces, hosts, and narrates the episodes.

    — Billy Bob Thornton has struck oil in the second season of “Landman” on Paramount+. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the show is set in modern day Texas in the world of Big Oil. Sam Elliott and Andy Garcia have joined the cast and Demi Moore also returns. The show returns Sunday, Nov. 16.

    Alicia Rancilio

New video games to play from Nov. 10-16

    — The Call of Duty team behind the Black Ops subseries delivered a chapter last year — but they’re already back with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The new installment of the bestselling first-person shooter franchise moves to 2035 and a world “on the brink of chaos.” (What else is new?) Publisher Activision is promising a “reality-shattering” experience that dives into “into the deepest corners of the human psyche.” Beyond that storyline there are also 16 multiplayer maps and the ever-popular zombie mode, in which you and your friends get to blast away at relentless hordes of the undead. Lock and load Friday, Nov. 14, on PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S or PC.

Lumines Arise is the latest head trip from Enhance Games, the studio behind puzzlers like Tetris Effect, Rez Infinite and Humanity. The basic challenge is simple enough: Multicolored 2×2 blocks drift down the screen, and you need to arrange them to form single-color squares. Completed squares vanish unless you apply the “burst” mechanic, which lets you build ever-larger squares and rack up bigger scores. It’s all accompanied by hallucinatory graphics and thumping electronic music, and you can plug in a virtual reality headset if you really want to feel like you’re at a rave. Pick up the groove Tuesday on PlayStation 5 or PC.

  • Summer Walker Gets Real About Catching Lil Meech Creepin’, That Viral Pose & Why She’s Done Being ‘Ride or Die’

    Source: Udo Salters / Getty

Summer Walker hopped on 360 with Speedy and gave us the real, raw, and slightly petty tea we’ve all been waiting for. The R&B songstress sat down with host Speedy Morman for Complex’s long-form interview series and didn’t hold back about her infamous situationship with BMF actor Lil Meech, her viral pose and why she’s done being a “ride or die.”

Fans know about the “it’s my cousin” debacle that had social media in shambles and birthed one of the most memeable breakup poses of all time. Now, Summer’s speaking out about her relationship with the actor.

When Speedy brought up love and loyalty, Summer got straight to the point.

“You just look dumb,” she laughed, keeping it as transparent as ever.

Fans immediately recognized the callback to her viral breakup moment, when she caught Meech allegedly cheating and later hit Instagram with that body language that screamed, “I’m good off this.” The clip from the new interview spread like wildfire on social media, especially after being reposted by @Glock_Topickz on X, where fans praised her for the ultimate glow-up moment.

    Check out the post here:

In the Complex convo, the “Girls Need Love” singer reflected on how she used to bend over backward in the name of being a “ride or die.” Now? She’s retired from that role.

“I was trying to be solid for people who weren’t solid for me,” she admitted.

Check out the viral clip below:

That one line hit home for every woman who’s ever had to learn that lesson the hard way. Summer also let her humor shine through, joking about her new outlook on relationships. In another viral Instagram reel, she said she’s over men altogether and just wants “peace, quiet, and a good meal.”The clip had fans in the comments saying, “Sis, we felt that in our soul.”

Summer also addressed her viral red carpet pose. She quotes one of her favorite movies, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, starring Will Ferrell. One of the legendary lines is Ferrell’s character saying, “I don’t know what to do with my hands,” when posing during his win. Walker attributes it to being “awkward” and not knowing what to do with her body during red carpet moments.

Beyond the headlines, Summer’s growth is undeniable. From cleaning houses and working fast food to headlining tours and topping R&B charts, she’s living proof that healing and hustling can coexist. Whether she’s making hit records or making us laugh through heartbreak, Summer Walker remains that girl. She’s unfiltered, unbothered, and unfazed.

  • Sugar Daddy Shenanigans: Summer Walker Sets The Story Straight After Walking VMAs Red Carpet With Rumored Glucose Guardian

Summer Walker has something to say to anyone questioning her desire for a sugar daddy.

    Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty

Last weekend, Summer Walker shocked fans as she walked down the red carpet at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards with an older mystery man. Nearly a week later, the man’s identity still has not been made public, but the singer did tell reporters at the awards show that he’s a “special friend” of hers. When asked further questions, she simply urged the public to mind their business.

Of course, the internet isn’t about minding your business, leading to fan theories around the man’s relationship to Walker. The most popular theory, given his age, is that he’s her sugar daddy–a rumor Walker replied to during a recent livestream.

While the Over It artist was live, one fan commented that she doesn’t need a sugar daddy, since she appears to be doing just fine, financially, on her own. In response to this assertion, Summer made it clear that just because she has money of her own, it doesn’t mean she wants to spend it.

“‘You don’t need a sugar daddy, you are you are own sugar daddy.’ Uh-Uh, you sound like…one of them n**gas that be calling girls ‘big money,’” she said in a clip captured by Live Bitez. “I don’t give a damn if I got my own money. My money is mine, your money is mine.”

“‘Get them coins,’” she said, again reading the comments. “Exactly, sprinkle mother freakin’ sprinkle.”

Walker’s reaction during her livestream doesn’t exactly confirm that the man from the MTV VMAs is her sugar daddy, but it definitely looks like she’s open to the idea.

During a red carpet conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Summer referred to the much older man as her “special friend,” but she brushed off any further questions about their connection.

The man did end up chiming in, saying they met through mutual friends in Los Angeles, but when he was asked how long they’d been seeing each other, he and Summer quickly made their way inside. Having recently split from rapper Rico Recklezz, Summer might’ve moved on to someone older, but she’s not spilling the beans just yet.

  • Gimme Sugar: Here’s What Happened When R&Swirlin’ Summer Walker Stepped Out With A Mystery Uncle Daddy At The 2025 MTV VMAs

After years of (unsuccessfully) dating her type, recovering YN survivor Summer Walker stepped out with a mystery uncle daddy in a hilariously random surprise that trended during this year’s MTV VMAs show.

The “Girls Need Love” singer was all smiles with the unidentified gentleman who packed on the PDA the entire night as the official departure from ‘her type.’

To celebrate her release from the shackles of YNdom, she commemorated the moment with an Instagram post, captioned, ‘f*** my type.’

Naturally, ET‘s Denny Directo attempted to get the scoop on Summer’s ‘special friend’ before the singer swiftly shut down the question during the interview, saying, “Mind y’all business.”

But her mystery mister did reveal that they met through a “mutual friend in L.A.”

This comes months after Summer announced the split from Rico Recklezz in May after a brief somethingship that baffled fans.

“Yes I’m single but don’t be weird now y’all. I can’t even think about f*ckin w another man,” she said in a post while teasing her new album.

“I love Rico. He really is a sweet man when he wants to be… That’s my Pumkin for life, things just didn’t align how we wanted cause we from two different worlds. Let’s move on now n not create false narratives…”

The eccentric rapper was the latest of her, uh, interesting romantic choices that include Lil Meech, Coop Cashington, and the father of her twin boys, LBRD Pharoh (whose real name is Larry Lambert).

Now, several disappointments later, it appears that Summer is finally shaking things up with her ‘special friend’ who we’re sure will be identified in the coming days.

  • ‘F**k My Type!’ Summer Walker Pops Out With PeePaw PDA At MTV VMAs, Elderly Entanglement Sparks ‘Suar Daddy’ Speculation With ‘Special Friend’

WHOMST?! Summer Walker stunned at the MTV VMAs, but she really turned heads by seemingly hard launching a senior citizen swirldom with a “special friend” fans dubbed her “sugar daddy.”

    Source: Udo Salters / Getty

After years of going through it with public relationships like baby daddy London On Da Track and Lil Meech, Summer is keeping it cute and mute with this new mystery man.

Yet this is the one that has everyone wanting to know more after a shocking red carpet debut. On Sunday, the R&B baddie brought big bombshell energy to the VMAs red carpet with an homage to Pamela Anderson. Instead of rolling solo or with previous partner Rico Recklezz, Summer’s arm candy was more like peppermint purse candy.

Summer was all smiles in a baby blue fluffy hat and matching sequin pants with a curve-hugging white corset, reminiscent of the Baywatch star’s iconic 1999 VMAs look, which featured a hat designed by Ivy Supersonic. Summer’s was designed by She continued the theme with a container of matching cotton candy to enjoy on the red carpet. Although she only identified the silver fox as her “friend,” we got a glimpse into how “special” when she packed on the PDA to feed him some of the sweet treat. They also shared a sweet kiss on the cheek as the cameras flashed. Is it giving locked in lovebirds?

In a red carpet interview with ET, Denny Directo asked about the dapper date who wore a crisp white suit, and Summer refused to confirm coupledom or any other status besides him being a “special friend.” She swiftly shut down questions about “how special” the man is and how long they’ve been together, repeatedly telling Directo to “mind y’all business.” The grey-haired gent did reveal that they met through a “mutual friend in L.A.”

When Summer gushed about Pamela Anderson as her outfit inspiration, Directo questioned if that made her guest Tommy Lee, who was famously married to the actress. “You could say that,” her date agreed with a smirk. He added that his favorite Summer Walker song is the one that earned her a VMA nomination for Best R&B Song, “Heart of a Woman.”

While social media sleuths are trying to put together the clues about the perplexing pair, Summer appears happily Over It with her ex, Rico Recklezz.

As BOSSIP previously reported, she announced the split from Rico in May. She still had love for him, and said at the time she couldn’t “even think about f**king with another man.”

The former couple’s hard launch earned several side-eyes from fans who wanted to see their fave with someone on her level, and fans complained about her yearning for yet another “YN” and speculated that Summer was a financial come up for exes like Rico, Coop Cashington, and the father of her twin boys, LBRD Pharoh (whose real name is Larry Lambert).

Now the people pocket-watching are congratulating Summer on securing the bag with an alleged “sugar daddy.” It looks like she finally took her supporters’ advice and switched it up when she posted her salt n pepper stepper with the caption, “F**k my type!”

She’s keeping that same energy on her long, long-awaited final album in her trilogy, Finally Over It. The upcoming project will show off Summer’s range as an artist, and during the VMAs, she hinted that it will show that she can do more than one genre, just like she can dabble in more than one generation.

The lifelong lover girl seems happier than ever, so if she likes it, we love it!

  • Summer Walker Triumphly Returns With ‘Heart Of A Woman’

Summer Walker Triumphly Returns With ‘Heart Of A Woman’

The only thing that’s saving us? New Summer Walker music.

She keeps a pretty low profile but continues to dominate the music industry at every turn. After the release of Still Over It, Walker gained major success, performed at Dreamville, collaborated with SZA, and went mainstream. Did we ever get over it? No, no, we did not. Since then, we’ve really been missing Summer’s music here in the hive. Seemingly out of nowhere, Summer announced the release of ‘Heart Of A Woman’, and the world went wild.

Image Source: Single Artwork, courtesy of Interscope

Here’s what we thought about the new track and what we’re looking forward to next from Summer!

    ‘Heart Of A Woman’

This track is a prime example of why fans flock to Summer’s music now more than ever. ‘Heart of A Woman’ opens slowly with that whimsical, alluring vocal style that Summer is known for. Listeners are immediately drawn to her dreamy vocals and stylized lyrics.

“Question is, why I do the things I do?
Answer I may never find, but I’ll always choose you
Wanna give up on you but, damn, I know I can’t
I put the blame on me for giving you chance after chance”

Summer seems to find herself stuck in a tough situation where she keeps going back to the one person who is seemingly bad for her. Don’t worry Summer, we’ve all been there. But when we find ourselves there, we often ask ourselves, “Why?.” There might not ever be an answer, but we know we must look inward to try to find answers. As usual, Summer’s music is quite therapeutic and per usual, we find ourselves relating to every word.

    Finally Over It

If this track is any indication of what is to come on Finally Over It, we are super excited! The new album does not have a release date yet, but we are hoping it’ll be ours by the time 2024 is over. We just can’t wait any longer than that!

WATCH: Summer Walker Taps “Love Island” Faves Serena & Kordell To Star In Her “Heart Of A Woman” Video! | The YBF

Summer Walker is deep in her R&B bag, and it’s what R&B lovers have been waiting on. TBH, we didn’t expect it to come THIS HARD from Summer Walker songs. But here we are.

The ATL chick tapped the perfect love interests for the video for her passionate single, “Heart Of A Woman” – “Love Island” winners Serena Page and Kordell Beckham.

Y’all already know their journey was one for the books, including that time Serena cussed Kordell clean out all around the villa after Casa Amor. So it’s only right the twosome gave us those ups and downs for the video. Check it:

Summer also announced her upcoming album Finally Over It, an R&B-tinged project that speaks to the frustration and angst Summer – who has had her fair share of high profile relationship drama – is dealing with in her relationship. And we are SO ready for it.

Finally Over It will complete the revered trilogy that has solidified Summer as an R&B princess. It will serve as the follow-up to hit 2021 project Still Over It, and her debut album, 2019’s Over It.

Aht Aht! Summer Walker Speaks Out After Being Seen With Lil Meech’s Mom At Chris Brown’s ’11:11′ Tour Stop In Atlanta

Summer Walker is speaking out after being photographed with Lil Meech‘s mom at Chris Brown‘s recent ’11:11’ tour stop in Atlanta, Georgia.

Summer Walker’s Recent Outing & Sighting With Lil Meech’s Mom

According to Ticketmaster, Chris Brown’s ’11:11′ tour made its most recent stop in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, July 14. Brown performed at the State Farm Arena, and Walker attended the event with a female friend. To note, Walker and her friend rocked matching red and white cheerleader uniforms with the words “MISS BROWN.”

Walker shared photos and videos of her and her friend’s arrival at the arena via her Instagram Story. One post shows the singer and her friend posing alongside her ex-boyfriend, Lil Meech’s mother, Latarra Eutsey, and another unknown woman.

The singer didn’t add a caption to her post with Eutsey. However, she later took to her Instagram feed to share a few photos with Breezy himself. In the flicks, the singer busted a split in front of Brown as her friend posed with her leg up and arms around him.

“hhhhhhhhh I don’t care I never caredddd😍,” Walker wrote in the caption of the photos.

    Check out the photos below.

The Singer Clears The Air As Social Media Weighs In

Although Walker clearly had a blast meeting Chris Brown, social media users appeared to be more focused on her photo with Lil Meech’s mother. One Instagram user even reacted to the photo with, “Lil Meech’s mom in the background.”

The comment apparently caught Walker’s attention, and she quickly replied.

“… just because you think 2+2 is 4, its not, its 5,” the singer wrote.

Check out the photo and Walker’s comment below.

Meanwhile, social media users reacted to the photo of Walker and Eutsey in The Shade Room’s comment section.

Instagram user @s.nashay wrote, sometimes the family still love you after the breakup 🤣🤣🤣”

While Instagram user @blackchyynadoll added, telling sumbdy ‘jus bc u think 2+2 is 4’ is wild when it is lol”

Instagram user @thatgirljah wrote, She made sure she cleared that up😂😂”

While Instagram user @dischicaluvdanfl added, Folks still talk to their ex’s parents sometimes lol it’s not their fault if they still like one another. It’s the fault of their kid who ain’t acting right 😂”

A Brief Recap Of Summer Walker’s Former Romance With Lil Meech

As The Shade Room previously reported, fans initially speculated Walker and Meech had a fling in April 2023. At the time, the pair shared similar posts on social media, which sparked the speculation.

The following month, Walker confirmed her romance with Meech while appearing on an episode of ‘Caresha Please,’ per The Shade Room. However, in July of that year, trouble seemingly surfaced in the pair’s relationship, and Walker seemingly alluded that Meech was unfaithful, per The Shade Room.

Then, in August, footage went viral showing Meech entering an unknown woman’s apartment, per The Shade Room. In reaction, Walker took to social media to seemingly state that Meech embarrassed her.

Despite the public drama, Walker and Meech were spotted together at a pumpkin patch in October 2023, per The Shade Room.

In November of that year, Walker publicly confirmed that she and Meech had rekindled their romance by sharing a photo of her dropping a smooch on his cheek, per The Shade Room. However, their rekindled flame didn’t stay lit for too long. In March of 2024, Meech confirmed that he and Walker had gone their “separate ways,” per The Shade Room.

At this time, it’s unknown if Meech has currently entered another romance. However, Walker has been boo’d up with a man who goes by the name of Coop Cashington. She revealed their romance in April 2024, and they were most recently spotted together earlier this month.

#AmericanDream: 21 Savage Drops Drake-less New Album Featuring Young Thug, Doja Cat & More, Snatches Lacefronts With Brent Faiyaz On Bussit Bonnet Anthem

Social media is buzzing over 21 Savage‘s Drake-less new album American Dream featuring Metro Boomin, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Doja Cat, Burna Boy, Lil Durk, Brent Faiyaz, Summer Walker, and Mariah The Scientist sprinkled across 15 trunk-rattling tracks.

In an intriguing rollout, Savage teased the star-studded collection of featured artists by sharing their baby pics on his Instagram in the days leading up to the drop.

Prior to that, the Grammy-winning rapper surprised fans with the trailer for American Dream: The 21 Savage Story which we’re still not sure is real or just elaborate promo like that now-infamous fake Vogue cover.

Directed by Donald Glover, Stephen Glover, Jamal Olori, and Fam Udeorji, the Tubi-esque short film depicts three generations of 21 Savage (played by Glover and Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin) in the heat of a personal crisis.

    Peep the preview below:

Joining Savage in the trailer are Donald Glover, Caleb McLaughlin, Golden Globe-nominated actress Natasha Lyonne, Bel-Air star Jabari Banks, The Haunting of Hill House’s Victoria Pedretti, Beef’s Young Mazino, Fast & Furious veteran Chad Lindberg, P-Valley star Gail Bean, and the always hilarious Druski.

Additionally, Savage dropped altered American flags throughout the city of Atlanta in collaboration with creative multihyphenate and visual artist Hebru Brantley.

Instead of the traditional 50-star layout, these flags were adorned with only 21 stars.

“In creating this piece, I aimed to encapsulate the history of 21 Savage while incorporating elements of my own personal connection to his music,” said Brantley. The flag itself is black with 6 stripes, symbolizing what it means to be Black in America — it’s better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

For those with a discerning eye, my signature linework can be seen within the stripes. In those blue and red bands, there are illustrations that are deeply personal to both Savage and myself – these elements speak to what 21 stands for through his music, his experiences and the adversities he has faced.”

Are you feeling the new album? If so, what’s your fave track? Tell us down below and peep the social media hysteria over American Dream on the flip.

  • 2023 Grammy Nominations: Snubs and Surprises

2023 Grammy Nominations: Snubs and Surprises

It is with an apprehensive and tired sigh that I announce: the 2023 Grammy nominations are out.

The Grammy Awards are music’s most exhilarating and disheartening night of the year. Year after year, we’re all forced to sit through hours of pomp and ceremony. At the end of it, stars are disappointed by losses and audiences are disappointed by the boring spectacle the show has become.

There was a time when The Grammys felt relevant and important. I believe that era ended in 2013 when Macklemore beat out Kendrick Lamar for Best Rap Album. Now, we’re questioning how much authority the Grammy Awards actually hold. Major stars like Drake, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, and more have stopped submitting their tracks for consideration. And even more musicians have spoken out about being unfairly categorized or snubbed.

This is especially true of Black Artists. While Jay Z and Beyonce now hold the record for most Grammy nominations of all time, their list of wins deserves to be higher. Sure, their trophy cabinet is already heavy with awards. Let’s not forget that their daughter, Blue Ivy, has a Grammy of her own — but the annual event often comes with major snubs. For example, Beyonce’s never won Album of the Year. Despite the fact that Lemonade exists … much to think about.

In fact, only 11 Black artists have ever won Album of the Year. Since 2000, there have been only four Black winners: Outkast in 2004 for Speakerboxxx/The Love Below; Ray Charles, posthumously in 2005; Herbie Hancock in 2008 for a Joni Michael cover album; and, most recently, Jon Batiste in 2022.

On Tue, November 15th the 2023 nominations were announced. Once again, they’ve prompted equal parts celebration and confusion. It’s a fool’s errand to try to guess what the Grammy voters are thinking. And this year is no exception. The disappointment starts early.

Read the full list of nominations here.

But here are the biggest snubs and surprises of the season:

Snub: Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version)

Yesterday, Taylor Swift fans were fighting a war with Ticketmaster, virtually fighting and clawing for tickets to her upcoming The Eras Tour. And it’s a good thing they were distracted because Taylor’s Red (Taylor’s Version) was notably missing from nominations for the Album of the Year.

Swift is one of four artists to win Album of the Year three times — along with Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and Frank Sinatra — but since she was shut out of album categories this season, this year will not be one of them. While the original recording of Red was nominated for AOY, the latest version was not. The 30-song tracklist consists of new songs — some of which were given nods like song of the year for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” and best country song for “I Bet You Think About Me. But even if Red (Taylor’s Version) wasn’t considered Album-of-the-Year-worthy, it deserves a shot at Best Country Album.

Her most recent offering, Midnights, doesn’t qualify for this year’s Grammys, but we better see it in 2024. Next target on Taylor’s next revenge album: The Grammy voters.

    Surprise: Jack Harlow

It seems the Grammys have fallen victim to the Jack Harlow trap, an affliction that usually befalls college girls in their Nike Air Force Ones. Harlow recieved a nomination for his sophomore album Come Home the Kids Miss You for Best Rap Album. And his single “First Class” — which samples Fergie’s “Glamorous,” went TikTok viral landed a nom for Best Melodic Rap Performance. Honestly, this is simply humiliating. It only proves that the Grammys still know nothing about rap music. And they’re starting to prioritize streaming, charts, and — heaven help us — TikTok in their considerations.

    Surprise: Gayle

Another TikTok surprise was Gayle’s nod for “abcdfu” — nominated for Song of the Year. If the TikTok star’s already wondering how to follow up that viral hit, the bar has been raised. So, I bet you a buck, we’ll be seeing a lot of TikTok songs among future Grammy Award noms. Choose your TikTok sounds wisely.

    Snub: Megan Thee Stallion

Megan is not just one of our favorite rappers, she’s one of the best. Indisputably. The only people who don’t understand that are Academy voting members. They awarded Megan Best New Artist in 2021 … but since then they haven’t found her albums worthy of nomination. Her striking debut only received one nomination in 2022. And despite the acclaim for her sophomore album, Megan was ignored this year. Traumazine was poignant and electric, and deserves better.

    Snub: The R&B girlies

Other neglected Black female artists include Summer Walker and Tems. Summer Walker is now on her second album, but it seems the Grammys haven’t heard. They’ve never even whispered her name, despite her established place as an R&B mainstay.

Tems is one of the most fantastic artists to emerge over the past few years. We all expected her to earn a Best New Artist nom at the very least. She wrote Rihanna’s smash-hit for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. And worked with artists like Drake, Future, and Beyonce on chart-topping tracks. So what does it take?

Snub: Charli XCX and Florence and the Machine

Other industry mainstays include Charli XCX and Florence and the Machine, and Mitski. All are veterans of the indie/alternative scenes, and all released career-defining projects this year.

Charli is one of the hottest names in the industry, not just as a performer but also as a writer. Yet, the Grammys love to ignore her — despite her “considerable impact on the music landscape” and her own genre-bending, soaring work. She was nominated for Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” in 2016 but since then, silence.

Florence is an indie darling, and her most recent album is a stunner — which is saying a lot. Yet, this indie-alt triumph got scarcely any love from the Grammys. Astounding.

Snub: Where are the Indie girls at?

A number of our favorite indie/alt albums of the year were nowhere to be found in the nominations list. Artists like Maggie Rogers and Lizzie McAlpine dominated the indie scene but when it came to the nominations? Crickets.

Another major snub? Mitskian — an indie-alt favorite foreverrr. But after touring with Harry Styles, she certainly “achieved a ‘breakthrough’ into public consciousness and impacted the musical landscape” this year reaching a thrilling new fanbase. So she should be a shoo-in for the Best New Artist category. Justice for Mitski.

    Snub: Blackpink

Arguably the most famous girl group performing right now, Blackpink deserved some kind of recognition. C’mon. They’re selling out global stadiums and they can’t even get a stinkin Grammy nomination? Someone introduce the Grammy voters to KPOP, stat.

    Surprise: Viola Davis

This Grammy season, the actress is on the precipice of an EGOT. She’s nominated for Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording for her memoir, Finding Me. Hopefully, we’ll have something to celebrate come the 65th Grammy Awards.
