This post will show you 14 cute summer outfits for women, with everything under $120.

Who else is stoked for summer?!

From beach days to concerts and everything in between, the summertime is brimming with fun events and (hopefully) sunshiny days that are going to require some seriously cute outfits.

I’ve put together 14 stylish summer outfit ideas to get you inspired, with looks for just about every summertime activity you may be partaking in.

Best of all, every item featured is under $120, a.k.a. you won’t have to worry about breaking the bank to dress well this summer.

So, read on and get inspired for a stylish summer ahead!

    Casual Cute Summer Outfit

Introducing the Summer 2024 daily uniform.

This casual, cute outfit is perfect for everyday wear, being comfy, easy to put together, and featuring some of the season’s biggest fashion trends.

Boxer-inspired blue and white striped shorts are a massive trend this season, and for a good reason: they are lightweight, easy to pull on, and look adorable with everything from t-shirts to tank tops to crop tops.

For an everyday look, pair them with a simple, ribbed white tank top and a gray cardigan sweater, which you can wear over your shoulders, along with some navy blue Adidas Gazelle sneakers (another huge trend right now).

Throw on a fun, graphic print trucker hat in a similar color scheme, along with a pearl pendant beaded necklace for a seasonal touch.

Whether you’re running errands, grabbing coffee, or hanging out with friends, this look is sure to become your new go-to!

    Summer Vacation Outfit

Got vacation plans this summer? You can’t go wrong with a crop top and maxi skirt set; sets make getting dressed a breeze and make you look incredibly put-together.

These pieces can also be worn with other items in your suitcase (or wardrobe, in general), making them ultra-versatile, as well.

This set features a tube top and matching maxi skirt with a tropical floral print that feels so summery, and they are made with a lightweight, stretchy fabric that is ideal for hot weather.

Style the set with some raffia sandals with a low flatform heel — I’d advise against packing ultra-high heels or stilettos for vacation, which tend to be uncomfortable and can be difficult to walk in.

These raffia sandals will also pair well with the rest of your vaca wardrobe, since they are beachy and neutral.

Bring the look together with other beachy accessories like a shell-shaped straw handbag and some gold shell-shaped earrings. (BTW, shell jewelry is having a major moment this summer.)

Lastly, don’t forget your sunglasses: I love these luxe-looking gold metal oval sunnies.

    Tennis Core Summer Outfit

One of this summer’s hottest fashion trends? Tennis core!

This aesthetic is all about dressing like you’re headed to a tennis match — whether as a player on the court or as a stylish spectator.

Just look to Zendaya in Challengers or the personalities in Netflix’s Break Point for inspo, and get ready to see tons of tennis skirts and dresses this season!

Personally, I am so here for this trend because it balances comfort (via athletic clothing) with chicness (tennis-inspired clothing has such a classic look). Plus, tennis-friendly clothing usually features lightweight, moisture-wicking fabrics, making it perfect for the summertime heat!

Get the tennis core look with a pleated skort that has built-in shorts (with pockets!) and is made with a sweat-wicking material; this green and white skort is reminiscent of a tennis court’s colors, making it an extra cute choice.

Pair it with a sleeveless white polo top (this one has a built-in bra) for a country club vibe.

These Reebok Club C 85 sneakers have a vintage-inspired look with subtle green accents to match the skirt and will look adorable with some white crew socks.

To elevate this ensemble and make it off-court ready, add in chic accessories like some slim oval sunglasses, mini gold hoop earrings, and a sleek white belt bag.

    Beach/Pool Summer Outfit

Hopefully, you’ll get to spend some time at the beach and/or pool this summer—it is the season for that, after all!

Whether you’re going away on vacation or hitting your local swimming pool, you’ll want to look stylish as you soak up those sun rays (while wearing SPF, of course).

Why not wear a cute crochet knit cover-up set over your swimsuit?

This crochet set comes with shorts and a coordinating button-down top with short sleeves. Their lightweight, open-knit design makes them ideal for beach days and will show a peek of your swimwear underneath.

Because of this, opt for a bright bathing suit with an eye-catching print like this floral print bikini, so that it pops underneath the crochet.

You’ll also need some cute sunglasses and water-friendly sandals that you can easily slip in and out of, and these footbed sandals are great for the beach or pool.

    Summer Dinner Outfit

There’s nothing better (IMO) than a summer dinner out. Patio weather is here, and I, for one, can’t wait to dress up and enjoy my meal sitting outside on a warm summer evening.

Whether you’re heading to dinner with friends or family or on a date, you can’t go wrong with a cute mini dress.

This green tube mini dress features a bright, fun color and lightweight material, and its simple silhouette can be dressed up or down to your liking.

For a dressier vibe, style it with some woven raffia mules with a short block heel and a matching straw clutch bag (this one also has a removable chain strap so it can be worn crossbody-style). Straw, raffia, and jute are all materials that have such a summery vibe!

Charm necklaces are another big jewelry trend this season, and this beachy charm necklace will compliment the straight neckline of the dress perfectly.

    Summer BBQ Outfit

OK, now that I think of it, there might be something better than a summer dinner out… and that is a summer BBQ!

If you’ve been invited to a backyard BBQ this summer but still want to look fashion-forward, this outfit is the perfect mix of casual yet chic.

Go for a pair of flowy, white pants, like this linen-blend pair with a comfy drawstring waistband and some easy, flat slide sandals with a stylish cut-out design.

Pair these with any cute crop top of your choosing — gingham is especially BBQ-appropriate, and this gingham crop top with ruffles and a bow will look adorable with this outfit.

Give the black and white color palette a pop of color with your handbag, like with this red baguette bag with a retro-inspired design, and add in some silver earrings.

    Fourth of July Outfit

Speaking of BBQs, Independence Day isn’t so far away, and it’s the ultimate occasion to pull out all of your red, white, and blue clothing in celebration.

Since Fourth of July celebrations tend to be laid-back, wear some cutoff blue denim shorts with an Americana-theme top, like this cropped USA graphic print t-shirt.

Opt for fun, statement-making accessories in the red, white, and blue color scheme, like some retro aviator sunglasses and a graphic print trucker hat to give your outfit a cool, laid-back vibe.

This holiday is the ideal time to break out your trendy sneakers, and these red and blue Adidas Gazelle Bold sneakers couldn’t be a more perfect pick for Independence Day, featuring a flatform heel.

    Summer Sightseeing Outfit

Whether you’ll be sightseeing in a new place or just playing tourist in your own city this summer, this look is going to make you look cute while keeping you comfy as you walk around exploring.

Sightseeing involves a ton of walking, so start with either some comfortable sandals or sneakers. Since Adidas Sambas are one of the “it” shoes of the summer, I say go for a pair of these!

They’ll give a flowy white tiered maxi skirt a casual vibe that is perfect for daytime wear. (BTW, these skirts are another major trend this season.)

On top, you can wear anything from a cami to a crop top; I’m into this graphic print tube top which makes for a cool, unexpected choice.

Be sure to bring a claw clip with you to put your hair up when the temperatures rise, plus some slim oval sunglasses for a chic vibe.

If you’ll be traversing a bustling city, be sure to use a handbag that will keep your belongings secure: a crossbody crescent bag with a zipper closure and a strong strap will allow you to go hands-free with more peace of mind than with an open tote bag.

    Summer Concert Outfit

Put on your boots, it’s time to go dancing!

If you’ve got tickets to a concert or music festival this summer, there’s no doubt that you’ll need a super special ‘fit for the occasion.

Your outfit will obviously depend on the type of concert you’ll be attending, but in this case, we’re going for cowgirl core since it’s trending, thanks to Queen Bey. (Consider this outfit as us manifesting a Beyoncé Cowboy Carter tour announcement!)

Start with some white knee-high Western boots with a short block heel that will make it easier to dance (and stand) in.

I love the way these boots look with some high-rise denim shorts — how cute is this pair with star designs on the back pockets?!

This white top with a bustier-inspired silhouette and ruffled sleeves has a Western-inspired look that can be played up even more with a white fringe crossbody bag and a studded leather tie belt worn around your waist.

For a final cute touch, tie it all together with this darling silver cowboy boot pendant necklace.

    Summer Internship/Work Outfit

Heading to an office instead of a beach this summer? No worries, I’ve got you covered for that, too!

If you’ll be interning or working this summer, you’ll need some polished, office-friendly outfits that will be able to withstand the heat (especially if you’re going to be walking or using public transportation to commute).

Nothing is worse than arriving at the workplace a sweaty mess, which is why you’ll want to opt for lightweight yet elevated fabrics like satin, cotton, and linen.

This black satin midi skirt is an ultra-versatile clothing piece that is super lightweight and airy, but looks chic and is appropriate for the office (and beyond). Pair it with a sleeveless top such as this black and white striped sweater vest featuring luxe gold buttons.

Accessorize with gold jewelry (to match the buttons), like some textured, vintage-inspired stud earrings, and a sleek, structured tote bag that’s roomy enough to carry your daily belongings.

Save yourself the trouble of wearing heels to work and opt for ballet flats instead, which are not only more comfortable than pumps, but are very on-trend this season.

    Dressy Casual Summer Outfit

Sundress season is here! If you want to put together a dressy-casual look for summer brunches, happy hours, and other get-togethers, a sundress is always the right answer.

It doesn’t matter if it’s printed or plain, long or short; investing in at least one versatile frock made from a lightweight material is going to serve you well in the summertime.

This brightly colored linen-blend button-through mini dress is an adorable option, featuring flutter sleeves and a sweetheart neckline.

While you can also wear it casually with sneakers, for a slightly dressier look, opt for some trendy, chunky platform raffia sandals and an eye-catching handbag, like this crochet shoulder bag in a matching hue.

Be sure to accessorize with gold jewelry like some chunky gold earrings and a delicate gold charm chain necklace for added *charm* (see what I did there?).

You can also wear an oversized denim jacket over the top if you are indoors in air conditioning or going out on a chilly summer evening.

    Summer Going Out Outfit

Hit the town this summer in a Y2K-inspired going-out look that’s sure to turn heads.

Y2K fashion is still going strong and is such a fun aesthetic to wear when going out with your friends.

Start with a flirty black cut-out bodysuit (which you’ll be able to wear later in the year with jeans and pants) and wear it with a denim mini skirt.

These strappy black heeled sandals feature the cutest crystal accents that are going to match well with silver jewelry like some large hoop earrings and a leather cord necklace with a silver heart pendant (which is so Y2K).

Give the ensemble a pop of color with a bright handbag, like this metallic blue bag with ’90s buckle detailing.

    Summer Athletic Outfit

Hot Girl Walks are about to get a lot hotter with summer’s rising temps.

To keep cool during your workouts this summer, wear a workout set in a bright color like coral for a boost in motivation. This set features stretchy, high-waisted shorts and a matching sports bra, and it comes in over 20 colors!

A belt bags is the best for walks and runs, since it’ll allow you to be hands-free during your workout, and is the perfect size for stashing your phone, headphones, keys, and other small necessities.

Not only will a graphic print foam trucker hat look cute, but it will help keep your hair out of your face and has a perforated back panel to allow for plenty of airflow. It’s a summertime must-have!

    Summer Wedding Guest Outfit

Attending a summer wedding? That means it’s time to break out the flowy, floral dresses!

Of course, your outfit will depend on the dress code (always check this first!), but in many cases, you can’t go wrong with a floral print maxi dress.

This halter maxi dress is made with a lightweight chiffon material that will keep you cool (even if it’s an outdoor wedding on a sweltering summer day), and its pink floral print looks so sweet. This dress also features a flattering fitted waist, low back, and slit, making it extra flowy.

Dress it up even further with glam accessories like gold drop earrings and a wavy gold bangle bracelet to match, along with a structured clutch bag like this pearlescent pick with a chunky, beaded strap.

Since weddings involve plenty of mingling and dancing, you’ll want to pick shoes that are going to look elegant but feel comfortable, and block-heel sandals are the way to go. This neutral-colored pair will match just about any dress, and their minimal, strappy design keeps them looking stylish.

What do you think of these summer outfits for women?

  • This Striped Summer Sweater Has Been Mistaken For a $138 J.Crew Design—But It’s Actually $30 On Amazon

This Striped Summer Sweater Has Been Mistaken For a $138 J.Crew Design—But It’s Actually $30 On Amazon

    [ad_1]

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, StyleCaster may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

Every so often, I’ll come across an Amazon fashion find so good, I can’t help but get a little braggy about it. I’ll happily share links to lounge sets that look just like something I saw at Free People or tell my friends about a pearl bag
I added to my rotation years ago, which is still my go-to whenever I attend weddings.

So when someone complimented my striped summer sweater recently, asking if it was “that one from J.Crew,” I couldn’t help but give them the real deal: it was something I found when browsing cardigans on Amazon, and at just $30, I simply had to have it.

    Sizes: S – L
    Colors: 2

Personally, I’m someone who feels cold all 12 months of the year. Even if it’s 85 degrees and sunny, I’m sticking a sweater in my bag, just in case. I rarely regret carrying around that extra layer. So many stores and restaurants start blasting the air conditioning around Memorial Day, and even if I’m overheated while walking outside, I’m freezing five minutes after coming indoors.

So, while the concept of summer cardigans may seem strange to some, they make a lot of sense to me. RICHTRUE’s Old Money Aesthetic Striped Cardigan
also gives off nautical, retro vibes, and I knew it would be perfect for breezy beachside hangs, summer date nights, days at the always-cold office, and more.

What I didn’t fully realize — until a very in-the-know influencer pointed it out — is that I had come across an Amazon lookalike for J.Crew’s Emilie Sweater Lady Jacket, which originally retailed for $138 but is now discounted at $110. The stripes, the buttons, and the crewneck design all appear to be super similar, but instead of being made of 100% cotton, my summer sweater is 100% polyester.

I recently put this piece to the test by layering it over a white sundress. Despite its reasonable price tag, it kept me warm once the temperature (unexpectedly!) dipped into the 60s. I plan to keep it in my regular rotation, styling it with everything from vintage capri pants to white denim shorts.

Some of the more negative reviews on Amazon note that the sweater runs small and the buttons look like they don’t match up. I didn’t have either issue, but since I wanted an oversized fit, I did select a medium instead of my usual small.

I loved this $30 cardigan so much that I’m debating ordering an additional color (it also comes in red). However, Amazon has other similar styles that I’m also curious about—including a 4.8-star GRACE KARIN pick
    and a striped LATAHUO sweater
, which is available in black and brown along with white and yellow—so I may end up adding those to my cart as well.

This post may contain affiliate links, which means we may receive a commission if you purchase through our links. Please read our full disclosure here.

This post will show you the 12 hottest fashion trends for Summer 2024, with affordable ways to get the looks for yourself.

A new season means new fashion trends to be inspired by, and since Summer 2024 is almost here, it’s time to get our wardrobes ready!

In this trend guide, I’m breaking down 12 of the hottest fashion trends that need to be on your radar for the upcoming season and how to get them yourself, on a budget.

Read on for the trendiest clothing, shoes, and accessories under $120 that will put you on the summer’s best-dressed list without breaking the bank.

    1. Tennis-Inspired Clothing

From Challengers with Zendaya to Netflix’s Break Point, tennis core is set to be this summer’s top trend.

But you don’t actually have to play tennis to ace this aesthetic — you can get the look with tennis skirts, polo shirts, athletic dresses, and other activewear pieces you’d see on a tennis court, minus the rackets.

    Polo Dress

Whether you’re actually hitting the tennis court or just going to grab a coffee, run errands, or hang out with friends, this athletic polo dress will keep you cool and comfortable while looking chic.

It has a retro feel thanks to its color-tipped collar and zip-front, plus features moisture-wicking fabric and a fully perforated back panel for ventilation (making it ideal for a hot summer day).

I am obsessed with its classic green hue, too!

    Athletic Polo Tank Top

It doesn’t get more classic than black and white stripes, especially on a polo top.

This half-zip polo features a sleeveless design with active fabric that is compressive and supportive, making it an amazing choice on or off the court.

Style this polo top with a pleated mini skort for the full tennis core effect.

    Active Pleated Mini Skirt

If you haven’t gotten yourself an active skort or skirt yet, this is the summer to do so!

Not only do activewear skirts look super cute, but they are so easy, breezy, and perfect for the summertime.

This pleated active skirt is giving major tennis core vibes, especially thanks to its Kelly green hue which is a style signature in tennis culture.

    2. Tomato Girl Aesthetic

Who’s ready for a Tomato Girl summer?

This trending aesthetic involves dressing as though you were on a summer vacation in Europe (especially Italy).

Think about what you would wear to roam picturesque coastal towns, have picnics or dine outdoors at quaint bistros, and cruise the Mediterranean Sea.

This aesthetic involves plenty of red (it is called “tomato girl,” after all), feminine, vintage-inspired silhouettes, and plenty of prints, especially those that bring a European summer to mind.

    Printed Red Corset Skater Dress

Red? Check. Feminine, vintage-inspired silhouette? Check. Summery print? Check.

If there were one piece of clothing that sums up the Tomato Girl aesthetic, it’d be this printed red corset skater dress. It checks all the boxes!

Even if you aren’t traveling to a Mediterranean destination this summer, this whimsical dress will put you in that Euro summer state of mind.

And how cute does it look paired with sneakers? Gotta love its versatility.

    Printed Linen Pants

Linen is a quintessential summertime fabric, as it’s so airy and lightweight.

These linen pants with a drawstring waist feature a Tomato Girl-approved print and a slouchy, low-rise fit.

    Printed 3-Piece Bikini Set

This trend easily could have been named the “Lemon Girl” aesthetic since lemon prints are just as much a part of the overall vibe — probably because this is a theme seen on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

Regardless of your summer travel plans, embrace the aesthetic with this adorable lemon tile print swim set that comes with a bikini and matching cover-up skirt.

    3. Tie-Front Tops

This season is all about tie-front tops. If it ties in the front, it’s in!

What’s great about these tops is that their tie-front design makes them airy and, therefore, ideal for hot summer weather.

They can be worn casually during the day with jeans or denim shorts or dressed up at night with skirts or trousers.

    Chambray Tie-Front Vest

This chambray tie-front vest combines not one, but two trends: the tie-front silhouette and the denim-like fabrication.

With these trends combined, it’s a total must-have (more on denim later in this post).

    Satin Tie-Front Top

Go for a silky look with this pink satin tie-front top (also available in white).

Its silky, shiny fabric gives it a luxe effect, while the front ties (which look like bows) add to its girly vibe.

Since this top has a deep V-neckline, be sure to accessorize it with a statement necklace to make it pop.

    4. Leopard Print

Leopard print is still going strong this summer!

This wild print, which was especially popular in last season’s Mob Wife aesthetic, has become more mainstream than ever, from leopard print jeans to dresses and everything in between.

Take a walk on the wild side with these trendy leopard print picks for summer.

    Leopard Print Maxi Skirt

One of the best ways to wear this trend in the summertime is with a leopard print maxi skirt.

This mesh maxi is lightweight and flowy and can be dressed up or down, making it quite versatile.

During the daytime, style it with low-top sneakers like some Adidas Sambas and a simple tank top; during the nighttime, style it with heeled sandals and a tube top or crop top for a going-out look.

    Leopard Print Maxi Dress

This leopard print maxi dress is guaranteed to turn heads and make you stand out.

Made from soft mesh, it features a contrasting red lacy trim and adorable red bows on the straps for a pop of color and added trend appeal.

    5. Colorful Sneakers

Last summer, it was all about the black and white Adidas Sambas, but this summer, it’s all about colorful low-top sneakers (including Sambas and other Adidas styles like the Gazelle and the Campus).

A brightly colored sneaker is such a fun way to add a pop of color to your summer outfits, all while keeping you comfortable on your feet.

Get bonus style points for sneakers that feature unexpected color pairings for eye-catching contrast.

    Adidas Gazelle Sneakers

Arguably the hottest shoe of the season, the Adidas Gazelle sneaker comes in a ton of different color combinations, including bright, bold hues like this blue and pink pair.

These sneakers are going to add instant trend appeal to your outfits — even the most basic looks like denim shorts and a plain t-shirt will be totally transformed by these fun shoes.

    Adidas Gazelle Bold Platform Sneakers

Looking for a boost of height? Go for some platform low-tops like the Adidas Gazelle Bold sneakers.

These are just like Gazelles, but with a platform heel that’s going to boost you up, along with adding a pop of color to your ensembles.

Stacked up three layers high, these platform sneakers are just as their name describes: bold!

    Puma Palermo Sneakers

If you want to switch it up and go for a less popular yet equally cool sneaker, try the Puma Palermo sneakers in this bright blue hue.

You won’t see as many others wearing this type of sneaker (compared to the Adidas styles), giving you a more unique look while still being on-trend with a similar silhouette.

    6. Peplum Tops

It’s true: peplum tops are back.

But before you shudder at the thought of the peplum tops of the 2010s (paired with bulky statement necklaces, of course) coming back, think again.

In 2024, the silhouette has been updated for a fresh new look and often goes hand-in-hand with the tie-front top trend.

    Leopard Print Tie-Front Peplum Top

It doesn’t get trendier than this leopard print peplum tie-front top: it checks almost all of this season’s fashion boxes!

The top’s peplum silhouette and puff sleeves give it a feminine charm that contrasts stylishly with the bold leopard print.

It’s the perfect way to make a style statement this summer (especially when paired with red accessories).

    Peplum Bustier Top

Another fresh take on the classic peplum-style top is this bustier peplum top with lined, shaped cups and a flowy silhouette.

It is made with a linen-blend fabric, making it ultra-lightweight and perfect for summertime.

    7. Denim, Denim, Denim

This summer isn’t just for denim shorts — it’s for denim everything!

Denim is having a major moment, from denim dresses to denim tops, and, of course, our beloved cutoff shorts that are a summertime staple.

And don’t forget about denim accessories, too! Basically, the more denim, the better.

    Denim Mini Dress

Set aside your sundresses and floral dresses in favor of a denim mini dress this summer.

With a strapless silhouette, mini length, and seamed design, this stretchy denim mini dress is a fashion-forward pick for your upcoming summer nights out on the town.

    Denim Corset Top

A denim corset top is such a cute piece to wear this summer, as it puts a dressier spin on denim, which is regarded as a casual material.

This denim corset is especially girly with feminine touches like a lace-up back and ruffled hems at the sides, plus buttons going down the front.

I love the way this top looks paired with an airy white maxi skirt, which is another major trend this summer.

    8. Shell & Starfish Jewelry

It’s summertime, which means it’s time to layer on the beachy jewelry.

And what could be beachier than shells and starfish?

This season, beach-inspired jewelry is having a major moment, so embrace your inner mermaid with these statement-making jewels.

    Oversized Shell Earrings

Put your classic hoops aside in favor of some oversized shell earrings this summer.

Though these have a beachy vibe, their gold tone gives them a luxe look that will elevate your summer ensembles. They are also incredibly affordable, making them that much more tempting to try out.

    Starfish Necklace

Ariel’s got nothing on you with this adorable starfish necklace with a rope chain for an extra-beachy look.

The starfish pendant has a holographic finish that makes it eye-catching, especially in the sunlight.

    Adjustable Length Shell Necklace

Step up your summer outfits with this 18k gold-filled shell necklace on an adjustable silky black cord from my own online boutique.

The adjustable cord means you can wear this necklace short as a choker, or longer as a pendant necklace, giving you multiple looks with only one piece.

    9. Capri Pants

    It’s true… capris are back!

This ’90s style staple has been creeping back into the fashion scene, and TBH, they are pretty adorable.

Their knee length also makes them ideal for this time of the year, since soon it will be too hot to wear full-length pants.

    Black Capri Pants

If you don’t want to give up your black leggings come summertime, you don’t necessarily have to — just swap them out for some black capri pants instead!

Black capris are surprisingly versatile, too: you can wear them casually during the daytime or dress them up for nighttime.

    Gingham Capri Pants

Don’t these gingham capri pants make you want to go on a cute picnic?

Their print, combined with the capri silhouette, gives them a totally retro look that is so on-trend in 2024.

To really play up their vintage vibe, accessorize with some slim oval sunglasses, kitten heel sandals, and a stretchy headband.

    10. Contrasting Trims

Prepare to see a ton of clothing with contrasting trims this season.

A subtler take on color-blocking, this design detail is on the rise, and is the perfect way to add flair to basic items.

Plus, this detail can be found in many tennis core pieces, adding to its overall trend appeal.

Black and White Trim Crop Top & Skirt

How chic is this black crop top and coordinating mini skirt with a contrasting white trim?

The trim totally transforms a plain black skirt and crop top into a chic, eye-catching set.

Of course, these items can also be worn with other pieces in your wardrobe, making them versatile and multi-seasonal.

    Knit Top with Contrasting Piping

See how contrasting white piping takes a simple red knit top and makes it a standout, fashion-forward piece?

This sleeveless top is a perfect example of the contrasting trim trend.

It also can be incorporated into the tennis core aesthetic; wear it with a pleated white tennis skirt and white low-top sneakers for a chic summer look.

    11. Bermuda Shorts

Short shorts are usually a summertime staple, but this summer, go for a longer length if you want to be on-trend.

Bermuda shorts, which hit right above the knee, are taking over this season.

    Denim Bermuda Shorts

These denim Bermuda shorts are sure to become your new summer staple.

It’s no secret that jean shorts are an absolute must-have in the summertime, but this year, swap out your short cutoffs for a longer pair of denim shorts.

These denim Bermuda shorts have a more elevated look that will pair perfectly with other items on this trend list, like a tie-front top and colorful sneakers.

    Tailored Bermuda Shorts

These tailored Bermuda shorts are the answer to your summer internship and office dressing dilemmas.

Their long length and tailored design make them more appropriate for the workplace while still helping you beat the heat.

Available in four different neutral hues, they have a polished appearance that can be elevated even further with the right additions (a button-down shirt, a structured belt, a silky blouse, etc.).

    12. Crochet

Crochet is not a new summer trend per se, but it is as popular as ever this season, and for good reason! Due to its open-knit design, crochet clothing is a great way to beat the heat.

It’s especially amazing as swimwear cover-ups and for achieving a boho vibe that works well for music festivals and outdoor concerts.

    Crochet Dress

How adorable is this colorful crochet dress?

Its lightweight knit material makes it an amazing swimwear cover-up. Its color-blocking with bright, cheerful hues and tie-front detail add to its trend appeal.

    Crochet Maxi Skirt

Nothing says “summer” quite like this white crochet maxi skirt.

It’s a little bit boho, a little bit Western (especially when paired with cowboy boots), and all-around cute.

You could just as easily wear this to a music festival as you could to a beach vacation—or even give it the Tomato Girl treatment by wearing it with a red top and sandals.

With its idyllic white-sand beaches and crystal-blue waters, Turks and Caicos attracts tourists from across the globe — including many celebrities. The luminaries who frequent the island? Everyone from Drake to the Kardashian-Jenners to Heidi Klum. Even Prince once owned a mansion on Turks and Caicos replete with a purple driveway.

One visit to the luxury travel destination, and it’s clear why it’s so popular among Hollywood A-listers. Comprised of 40 islands, it offers a unique opportunity for secluded private-beach experiences where you can indulge in a day of sun and sand at your leisure. It’s home to one of the world’s largest barrier reefs, attracting adventure seekers who spend their days scuba diving and snorkeling. And, of course, tourists and locals alike visit the world-renowned Grace Bay Beach, known for its powder-soft white sand, clear waters, and strikingly colorful sunsets.

But Turks and Caicos is not just about relaxing on the beach: there’s also an emerging party scene, with daytime soirees hosted on boats in the middle of the sea as well as an array of lounges and nightclubs. With unlimited options to build your itinerary, you might be wondering what to wear to Turks and Caicos. Fortunately, packing for the island is easier to navigate than you think.

First, start with transportation. I flew to the island on JetBlue, booking my flight with the beta version of Booking.com‘s AI Trip Planner, a super-easy process that takes the guesswork out of making travel arrangements and building an itinerary. That flight required an effortless, functional outfit with soft, comfortable fabric: a Skims lounge dress. Once I arrived to the lavish The Shore Club resort, I switched into something breezy yet elegant, pairing a LemLem bikini with Fe Noel’s gorgeous ombré wide-leg pants. For a day of lounging on the boat and snorkeling with Caicos Dream Tours, which I found on Tripadvisor, I wore a fun cutout swimsuit from Amazon and a wide-brimmed sun hat. And finally, I chose a fun sequin dress from ASOS for Vita Restaurant at Rockhouse Resort, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.

If you’re planning a trip, you want to balance your packing list with a mix of beachside loungewear, functional swimsuits, party dresses, and more. Keep scrolling for what to wear to Turks and Caicos.

  • Justin Bieber Is Not Ready For Strawberry Girl Summer

Justin Bieber Is Not Ready For Strawberry Girl Summer

    [ad_1]

Strawberry girl fashion is an acquired taste. Since declaring it a “strawberry girl summer” via Instagram on Aug. 2, Hailey Bieber has committed to the bit in its entirety. The Rhode founder and queen of food-centric aesthetics (see: her “glazed-donut” nails and “latte” makeup), leaned into her new summer style leading up to the launch of her limited-edition Strawberry Glaze Peptide Lip Treatment. With her perfectly planned red outfits and berry makeup, she seems to be influencing the entire internet . . . but perhaps not Justin.

While out in New York City on Aug. 28, Justin looked less than thrilled as he accompanied Hailey in some of her best strawberry style yet. While she dressed to the nines in a bright red strapless minidress, red heels, and statement strawberry earrings (just in case you missed the memo), Justin was quite casual. His manifestation of strawberry girl summer? A scrunched gray hoodie, matching sweat shorts, pink trucker hat, and bright yellow crocs.

At its core, strawberry girl summer is about taking it easy with fresh-faced looks and sweet details. For Hailey, that means berry-themed manicures, ultra-feminine minidresses, and romantic silhouettes. But for Justin, strawberry girl summer may look like something completely different, and that’s OK (although we urge him to consider some strawberry Jibbitz in the future). Read on to see why we’re living for the Biebers’s contrasting interpretations of strawberry girl summer.

  • Dua Lipa Shows Off Her “Sun Bum” in a Pair of Suede Micro Shorts

Dua Lipa Shows Off Her “Sun Bum” in a Pair of Suede Micro Shorts

    [ad_1]

Dua Lipa proves less is more with her latest summer ensemble. On Aug. 27, the singer looked ready to hit the runway in a pair of designer micro shorts made for summer vacation. The $3,600 Miu Miu shorts featured a cheeky, high-cut silhouette and a matching suede belt fitted with a gold-tone buckle. Reminiscent of the hot pants trend of the 1970s (and later the ’90s), Lipa’s look was the ultimate nod to retro summer style. “Sun bum,” she captioned photos of her outfit on Instagram.

Lipa isn’t the only celebrity to experiment with the teeny-tiny shorts trend in recent months: Billie Eilish and Millie Bobby Brown both previously gave the trend their stamp of approval. Something about Lipa’s choice to style the shorts so casually, though, accentuated the dramatic silhouette. She paired the bottoms with a ribbed Miu Miu tank top in ivory and silver jewelry, including a rhinestone necklace, a delicate watch, and multiple cuff earrings.

A day later, Lipa shared photos from a family cookout on her Instagram Stories. While grilling up crawfish and corn on the barbecue, she wore a red bodycon minidress, which she styled with layered gold necklaces and a printed bandana. Earlier this month, Lipa kept the stylish summer vibes flowing in a metallic minidress by Diesel. In July, the singer also showed some love for the “Barbie” movie, in which she plays Mermaid Barbie, during an evening out. Seemingly ready to dance the night away, she stepped out in an all-pink outfit composed of a low-neck, velvet minidress and Barbiecore thigh-high boots.

Above, admire Lipa’s take on the classic, summer shorts-and-tank-top combo.

  • Selena Gomez Soaks Up Summer in a Flirty, Floral Maxi Dress

Selena Gomez Soaks Up Summer in a Flirty, Floral Maxi Dress

    [ad_1]

Selena Gomez is enjoying the remaining days of summer in style. On Aug. 22, days before the release of her new single, the singer posed in a blue ruffle dress with a romantic floral print on her Instagram Stories. Styled by Erin Walsh, with assistance from Annie Leigh Easton and Ella Rose Harrington, Gomez paired the delicate Dôen dress with subtle jewelry and cap-toe heels by Vivaia.

Called the Emmaretta Dress, Gomez’s outfit first made its debut during Dôen’s summer 2022 runway show. Reminiscent of other “soft girl” celebrity ensembles this year — like Billie Eilish’s Easter dress and Millie Bobby Brown’s date-night dress — Gomez’s dress features a fairy-tale silhouette. Made of organic cotton poplin, the tea-length dress boasts a scoop neckline with an adjustable tie, a gathered bust, and thick arm straps trimmed with ruffles.

Adding to the whimsical aspect of Gomez’s outfit, hairstylist Marissa Marino gave the singer a sweet, braided updo. “A little braid today to switch it up,” Marino captioned a photo of Gomez on her IGS. Gomez’s stylists paired the look with jewelry by Melinda Maria and Anita Ko, including a set of layered necklaces and hoop earrings.

Recently, Gomez promoted her upcoming single wearing a hot pink chainmail minidress, which she paired with a purple feathered coat. Earlier this month, the star also stepped out in a plunging blue corset top and a light-washed denim maxi skirt.

  • Blake Lively’s High-Waisted Bikini Feels Like a Subtle Nod to Taylor Swift

Blake Lively’s High-Waisted Bikini Feels Like a Subtle Nod to Taylor Swift

    [ad_1]

Blake Lively is living her best life in a red-hot bikini this summer. On Aug. 18, Lively headed to the pool in a high-waisted bikini paired with a yellow-tinted visor and gold hoop earrings. “this isn’t how you hang by the pool? . . . weird,” Lively captioned Instagram photos of herself sipping club soda and sparkling water as part of her new Betty Buzz ad.

Embracing the primary color scheme, Lively secured her loose blond waves with yellow hair ties on either side of her head. She also paired the ensemble with a yellow-and-white striped pool towel worn across her shoulders like a shrug. Her beauty team completed the look with red lipstick and a matching manicure. Between the red swimsuit, the visor, and the white-striped crew socks on her feet, Lively’s outfit was serving 1980s lifeguard. A closer look at her swimsuit, though, reveals a possible sartorial nod to a close family friend: Taylor Swift.

It’s no secret that Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and Swift have all been close friends for years. Swift even revealed the name of the couple’s third child in her 2020 song “Betty,” off of the “Folklore” album. Now, intentionally or not, Lively’s swimsuit seems to be a subtle nod to the various eras of Swift’s music catalog. Specifically, fans were quick to call out that the cherry-red shade screamed “Red,” while the cut of the swimsuit itself was fitting of Swift’s bubblegum-pink outfit in the “You Need to Calm Down” music video tied to her “Lover” era.

With “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” slated for release this October, many fans have speculated that “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” will be the next re-recording on the list. In the comments section, though, fans speculated that Lively’s bikini and close connection to Swift could indicate the “Red” or “Lover” re-recordings will soon. “Red (Taylor’s Version) is next Omg! I’d love to see u involved in a project,” one fan commented on Lively’s post. Though Lively’s swimsuit likely has nothing to do with Swift’s upcoming albums, it’s possible she has some insight into what’s next for the 12-time Grammy Award winner.

  • Rita Ora Wears a Crystal-Studded Cutout Swimsuit on Stage in Ibiza

Rita Ora Wears a Crystal-Studded Cutout Swimsuit on Stage in Ibiza

    [ad_1]

Rita Ora planned her latest performance outfit with the summer heat in mind. On Aug. 16, the singer wore a lime green cutout one-piece swimsuit as she arrived at the Ibiza Rocks music festival in Ibiza, Spain. Before taking the stage with DJ Joel Corry, Ora threw off her crystal-studded skirt, revealing a matching swimsuit with an open back beneath the coverup. She completed the neon Self Portrait ensemble with green-tinted sunglasses and a pair of gold rosette sandals that showed off her maximalist junk pedicure.

“Thanks for having me @joelcorry & @ibizarocks,” Ora captioned footage of the performance on her Instagram Stories. On stage, Ora’s swimsuit sparkled. The ruched bodice featured a halter neckline and a trifecta of petal-shaped cutouts embellished with green rhinestones. The gems continued down the midriff and along the back of the design, revealing a delicate tie along the neck and an open back accentuated by a silver clasp.

Paired with the skirt, the swimsuit, which gave a glimpse at Ora’s expansive tattoo collection, created the illusion of a breezy maxi dress. She styled the bright outfit with several accessories, including layered bangles, hoop earrings, multiple statement rings, and floral anklets that jangled as she danced in front of hundreds of cheering fans.

Ora and Corry also paused to take a round of shots together during their set. “CHEERS to that!! @joelcorry,” Ora captioned footage of the moment on IGS. “@ibizarocks what a crowd. In LOVE!!” Once their glasses were empty, Ora said goodbye to the cheering crowd and slipped backstage to cool down in front of a fan after performing in the over-80-degree weather. With her swimsuit already on, we wouldn’t be surprised if the singer also took a dip in the Mediterranean Sea or the nearest pool after the show.

Earlier this summer, Ora displayed more of her seasonal wardrobe, including a lace bikini paired with a handkerchief-style sarong, an underboob-baring bra and miniskirt by Miu Miu, and a cutout halter dress by Mônot.

  • Emily Ratajkowski Makes a Case For Indoor Swimwear in a White Crisscross Bikini

Emily Ratajkowski Makes a Case For Indoor Swimwear in a White Crisscross Bikini

    [ad_1]

Emily Ratajkowski is making a case for indoor sunbathing. On Aug. 14, the model shared photos of herself lounging on the living room floor in a white ruched bikini in the shade Avorio from her swimwear brand, Inamorata. The strappy swimsuit features a pair of high-cut bottoms and a balconette top with thick ribbon straps that form a neat bow against her back. Letting the silky swimsuit speak for itself, she kept her accessories simple, opting only for a pair of gold hoop earrings.

While most of us have attempted to beat the summer heat wave by closing the blinds and cranking up the AC, Ratajkowski’s indoor swimsuit is certainly an innovative solution. Rather than spread a beach towel in the sand, the model lounged on the living room rug, lights dimmed, and posed for the camera. It might not be the best way to work on your tan, but it’s one alternative to leggings and lounge sweats.

Where most celebrities have embraced the thongkini trend, Ratajkowski’s look accentuated the back of the swimsuit with a thick, pearlescent fabric reminiscent of the quiet-luxury trend made popular by Sofia Richie Grainge earlier this year. The delicate bow tie in the back and the rich fabric made the two-piece ensemble look luxe, while the decision to wear it indoors speaks to the versatility of bikinis in summer — indoors or out, sometimes a swimsuit is the entire ‘fit. Ratajkowski completed the outfit with tousled red hair, a glossy pink lip, and brushed-up eyebrows.

Earlier this month, Ratajkowski also debuted her first Victoria’s Secret campaign, which features a number of lingerie pieces designed to lift and shape the wearer.

Nicole Scherzinger Takes Cutouts to the Extreme in a Sultry One-Piece Swimsuit

    [ad_1]

Nicole Scherzinger transformed an infinity pool into an impromptu catwalk during a beachfront vacation on Aug. 13. Serving Barbie feet from all angles, she posed along the edge of the pool in a white cutout monokini by Alt Swim. The sultry one-piece swimsuit featured a plunging neckline, high-waisted bottoms, and side cutouts that doubled as ab windows. “Swipe to see the real me in the last two slides. Real goof girl Sh*t,” Scherzinger captioned the gallery.

The one-piece ensemble commanded attention from the front, delivering a dramatic silhouette with every hem and unexpected stitch. From behind, the luxurious swimsuit took a cue from the thongkini trend with a dipped back designed to lift and shape the rear. Taking every detail into consideration, the piece also featured a gold clasp along the band, which Scherzinger beautifully complemented with a delicate body chain layered underneath the outfit. She completed the look with a turquoise shawl and wind-swept hair courtesy of the ocean breeze.

In addition to modeling the swimsuit as is, Scherzinger played around with the styling. While posing for the camera, she hooked her thumbs on either side of the waistband to transform the piece into a low-waisted swimsuit, showcasing its versatility. The outfit is far from the only beach-ready look in Scherzinger’s collection. Earlier this summer, the star hit the waves in a series of colorful bikinis, including a printed blue bikini in Hawaii, a snake-print design during a stroll through the sand, and a high-waisted cobalt set during Fourth of July weekend with her fiancé, Thom Evans. Later in July, Scherzinger also wore a purple-and-yellow co-ord set during a romantic boat ride with Evans.

Other celebrities who have embraced one-piece swimsuits this season include Sofía Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, and Julia Fox. Admire Scherzinger’s gorgeous monokini from all angles above.

Lori Harvey’s new swimwear brand is a sartorial love letter to the high-waisted bikini. At the height of the thongkini trend beloved by celebrities like Chlöe and Heidi Klum, Harvey is spotlighting her favorite swimsuit silhouettes with her new Yevrah Swim collection, released on Aug. 8. The line, which gets its name from the anadrome for Harvey, features 12 pieces designed by Harvey herself, including a colorful range of adjustable wrap bikinis, flattering bandeau tops, and one-piece swimsuits adorned with gold hardware.

“I wanted to create something for women to feel beautiful and confident.”

“For my first collection, I wanted to release staple pieces in chic colors that can be worn anywhere, any season, and will never go out of style,” Harvey said in a press release. “I am all about inclusivity and I think that is reflected in this collection. There is truly something for everyone that will make them feel confident and sexy.”

To design a truly timeless collection, the model took inspiration from vintage swimsuit silhouettes, styles, and colors. In addition to t-shirt tops and breezy swim coverups, Harvey rounded out the line with a backless playsuit that will easily fit into our wardrobe rotation this season. “I wanted to create something for women to feel beautiful and confident,” Harvey said. “The cuts on these pieces are sure to accentuate every body type and have you feeling sexy and ready for any occasion.” The versatile pieces, which range in price from $80 to $180, were made with all body types in mind and are available exclusively at Revolve in sizes XS to XXL.

Lori Harvey is living out her summer vacation in style. On Aug. 4, the model wore a Barbie-pink string bikini by The Attico while sipping champagne on the beach with friends — including Amina Muaddi, DJ Fiona Zanetti, and Nikki Hightower — during a European vacation. To beat the heat, Harvey paired the barely-there bikini with a casual Saint Laurent baseball cap in ecru, the perfect contrast to her sparkling champagne glass.

Blending in perfectly with the Barbiecore aesthetic, Harvey also wore the hot pink triangle bikini while sunbathing on a paddle board in the middle of the sea. She styled the bikini — perfect for wearing upside-down or as intended — with delicate ankle bracelets on each leg. Between the smile on her face and her stylish outfit, it’s safe to say that Harvey was living the Barbie dream life during her summer getaway.

In July, Harvey shared even more sneak peeks at her European summer vacation wardrobe, including a barely-there string bikini with a colorful print. Hilary Duff Looks Effortlessly Chic in a Semi-Sheer Skirt During a Stroll in NYC

Hilary Duff looked effortlessly chic during a stroll through New York City on Aug. 2. Poised to take on the day, Duff posed in front of a brownstone apartment in a see-through organza skirt and matching white top by Tory Burch. Between the design’s delicate fabric and Duff’s elegant accessories, the finished look was what summer dreams are made of.

“Today was lovely and now I get a day to enjoy this glorious nyc weather,” Duff wrote on her Instagram Stories, sharing another glimpse at her ensemble as she attended an event with Olly Wellness. The full outfit, styled by Brit and Kara from Elkin Style, consisted of the double-layer skirt paired with a matching blouse that created the illusion of a sheer midi dress layered over a micro skirt and bandeau top.

At her waist, Duff wore a thin white leather belt, which beautifully complemented her shoulder bag. She completed the outfit with retro white sunglasses, heeled sandals, hoop earrings, and silver jewelry. On her hands, the star broke up the monochrome look with a cherry-red manicure.

The day prior, Duff shared a glimpse at a more casual summer outfit: a Versace bodysuit and denim shorts. The star’s seasonal wardrobe continued to impress as she backflipped off a boat in a strappy red bikini hours later. Earlier this year, Duff showed off even more of her style prowess in a sultry cutout dress by The Attico and a sheer corset dress at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.

Versatile and chic, Duff’s style is a welcome reminder that whether you’re on vacation or out for a neighborhood stroll, what you wear can turn even the most casual summer activity into a fashion moment.
