Zoya’s close friend and filmmaker Karan Johar took to social media to give a shoutout to the film and also shared how she struggled to make her first film Luck By Chance.

    Today, on November 9th, The Archies trailer was released. Right after that, Zoya Akhtar‘s close friend Karan Johar took to Instagram to write a long post praising her. Sharing the film’s trailer, KJo wrote about how she struggled to make her first film Luck By Chance. He wrote, “Zoya and I grew up together…she was the wiser one, the smarter one and still is! She waited 7 years to start her first film (so much for nepotism and privilege), she had more actors turn her down than most tables at high end restaurants.”

    Karan further wrote that she went ahead and made the film and it received critical acclaim. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director then called Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara his “favourite ZO Akhtar film” and stated that she could make a film with superstars. However, she “made what she believed in.” He concluded the post by writing, “So excited for you Zoya and the exciting ensemble of talent ! Welcome to the movies!!!!”

    The Archies is helmed by Zoya Akhtar and written by Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Ayesha Devitre Dhillon. The film is produced by Tiger Baby Films and is based on the namesake popular American comic book series. It stars several new faces like Mihir Ahuja, Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Yuvraj Menda, Agastya Nanda and Vedang Raina. The Archies will premiere on Netflix on December 7, 2023.

    Suhana Khan has made news ever since she announced that she will be making her acting debut in The Archies, a movie directed by Zoya Akhtar. Koel Purie, who will appear in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, shared an intriguing habit of Suhana Khan in an interview. At the same time, Koel revealed how she asked Suhana to take part in the launch of her book.

    The author of Clearly Invisible in Paris revealed during the conversation, “I was launching my book. I want numbers. I was very blatant about who I know, who is the biggest celebrity who I am comfortable with. I just wrapped up The Archies recently so I thought of asking Suhana. She is also my friend now.” 

    Suhana is an avid reader, according to Purie, who continued by calling the actress a “interesting person” and noting that the actress “used to walk around with a book on set, like her father.”

    Reminiscing about the day Koel invited Suhana to take part in the launch of her book, the author disclosed that Suhana was originally sceptical but quickly accepted after hearing her proposal. Koel revealed, “She said, ‘Koel, you know I can do anything with you. I love that but let me think about this’. I was also very clear that ‘Suhana, this is a literary event. No one has seen that side of you. People know you as a fashion icon, beauty person, actor, no one knows your brain yet’. She said yes very soon after that.”

    Recently, an old video of the star went viral in which he can be seen playing with his children Aryan and Suhana in London’s Hyde Park.





    In the footage, a young Aryan appears to be playing with his father while Suhana appears to be taught how to ride a bicycle with the help of her dad.

We keep asking her why she works so much and she replies because it satisfies her dream.”

    Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan released yesterday, on 25th January, and took the box office by storm on day one of its release! A special screening of Pathaan was held last night, and it was a star-studded affair with many Bollywood celebrities in attendance. Celebs such as Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, his daughter Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, AP Dhillon, Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Seema Sajdeh, Vidyut Jammwal, and others were spotted arriving at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai for the screening.

    Salman Khan was seen in a black outfit as his car arrives at Yash Raj Studios. Meanwhile, the paparazzi also clicked Deepika Padukone as she arrived for the screening of Pathaan. The actress was seen in a black dress, and she smiled and waved at the paparazzi from inside the car. Ranveer Singh also donned a black outfit, and matching sunglasses as he arrived for Pathaan screening. Sussanne Khan arrived with her brother Zayed Khan, while Anil Kapoor was also spotted by the paps. John Abraham was clicked along with Sajid Khan. Other celebrities who attended the special screening included Shilpa Shetty, Rani Mukerji, Vidyut Jammwal, Seema Sajdeh, and AP Dhillon.

    There has been a lot of excitement over the film The Archies, right from the moment filmmaker Zoya Akhtar announced it. The movie marks the Bollywood debut of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s youngest daughter Khushi Kapoor. Yesterday, Agastya Nanda celebrated his birthday, and his mom Shweta Bachchan, uncle Abhishek Bachchan, and sister Navya Nanda penned heartfelt notes and shared adorable throwback pictures to wish him. Now, Agastya’s Archies co-star Tara Sharma has shared a belated birthday post from him and has dropped an unseen picture with him, Suhana Khan and others from The Archies cast.

    The picture shared by Tara Sharma shows her, Agastya, Suhana, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina huddled together, and they were all smiles for the picture. In her caption, Tara wrote that the picture was not clicked on set, but was taken on a ‘break day’. The background gives a glimpse of the beach, and while Suhana can be seen in a striped white and blue top, Agastya is dressed in a white tee. In her caption, Tara Sharma referred to Agastya as ‘Archu beta,’ and wrote that she made her Bollywood debut with Agastya’s uncle Abhishek Bachchan in Om Jai Jagdish and that she is now acting in The Archies with Agastya.

    Asking fans to guess her role in The Archies, Tara further wrote that it is a pleasure to be working with the cast and that she has a small role in the movie. She also shared that Agastya reminds her of Abhishek Bachchan. “You good naturedly making fun of me on set haaha, reminds me of Abhishek and your polite, gentle warmth and talent is endearing!” she wrote. Tara will be seen playing the role of Agastya Nanda’s mom in the film.
