    , a national brand, has opened its very first location. And it’s on Long Island. 

    The brand opened a 1,774-square-foot store at in Garden City on Saturday, Oct. 25. 

    Haven Well Within offers , , intimates, accessories, beauty, and items for the home. The brand’s products are made from fabrics such as cashmere, silk, linen, cotton, and “other environmentally preferred fibers,” according to a company statement. 

    The store’s apparel collection includes cashmere lounge sets, with sweaters for $258 and joggers for $288. Silk sleepwear separates start at $98, and Sherpa slippers are priced at $148. The brand’s organic cotton tops start at $48. 

    The Roosevelt Field store’s design is a blend of Scandinavian and Japanese minimalism, according to the company, with natural cherry wood finishes, bronze and antique brass accents, and white walls with muted green tones. Its window displays showcase apparel and accessories amidst stone, marble, wood and dried florals. 

    Included as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in 2023, the brand has also been promoted by celebrities like Hilary Swank, Molly Sims and Katie Lee Biegel, according to the statement. 

    Besides its first Haven Well Within store, the brand can be found in concept shops within stores throughout the country. Talbots launched the Haven Well Within brand towards the end of 2020. Talbots’ parent company is private equity firm Sycamore Partners, which also owns Lane Bryant, Ann Taylor, Loft and several other brands.

  • Burlington to open its newest LI store in Bay Shore | Long Island Business News

     is opening a new location in Bay Shore next week.  

    The  will open a 43,123-square-foot store in Kimco Realty’s Market at Bay Shore complex at 1851 Sunrise Highway. The new store opens with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10. 

    The Bay Shore space was formerly occupied by Big Lots, which closed towards the end of 2024 as part of the chain’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Burlington Stores bought the Bay Shore lease from Big Lots through an auction. 

    The new Bay Shore location features Burlington’s reimagined store layout, part of Burlington’s broader initiative to refresh its locations, according to a company statement. About half of the brand’s existing locations have already been converted and the remaining stores are expected to transition to the new format by the end of 2026. 

    “Our goal is to continue to offer area residents tremendous value on brand name merchandise for the entire family and home,” Michael O’Sullivan, CEO of Burlington Stores, said in a company statement. “We’re continuing to expand our footprint across the country and are excited to be opening a new store in Bay Shore. We look forward to giving local customers the chance to discover big savings on a wide range of products.” 

    Burlington offers branded merchandise at up to 60% off other retailers’ prices, including women’s apparel, menswear, youth apparel, baby, beauty, footwear, accessories, home, toys, gifts and coats, according to the company. 

    To mark the opening of the new store, on Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11, the first 100 customers aged 18 and up will get a $10 Bonus Card to be used toward their purchase. In addition, Burlington will be donating $5,000 to teachers at Mary G. Clarkson Elementary School through their partnership with the national  organization . The money will be used to provide students with classroom materials.  

    Publicly traded Burlington Stores, Inc., reported fiscal 2024 net sales of $10.6 billion. As of the end of the second quarter of fiscal 2025, the company operated 1,138 stores in 46 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.   

    The Burlington store in Bay Shore will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 9:30 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. 

    The 176,831-square-foot, 15-acre Market at Bay Shore shopping center is fully occupied with a tenant roster that includes Best Buy, Aldi, Harbor Freight Tools, Petco, Five Below and many others.

  • Luxury home furnishings chain RH opens at Americana Manhasset | Long Island Business News

    The three-level, 19,400-square-foot store at 2128 Northern Blvd. officially opens on Saturday, Sept. 27. The space was formerly occupied by Brooks Brothers. 

    The new Manhasset store will be the luxury furnishings chain’s fourth on Long Island, following two in East Hampton and an RH Outlet store in Commack. 

    RH, formerly known as , celebrated the opening of the Manhasset store with an event hosted by RH Chairman and CEO that included celebrity guests like Christie Brinkley Sailor Brinkley-Cook, Patrick McEnroe, Melissa Errico, Nicky Hilton Rothschild and other notables from design, fashion and entertainment, according to a company statement. 

    Publicly traded RH, headquartered in Corte Madera, Calif., reported 2024 net revenue of $3.18 billion, up 5 percent from the previous year, according to its financial report. The company, which is adding several new galleries this year, projects a 2025 revenue increase of 10 to 13 percent, despite headwinds from a weak housing market and uncertainty over tariffs and inflation, according to Friedman’s message to shareholders.

    The RH Manhasset gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

    REI Co-op announces lineup of new store openings in Northern California

    (FOX40.COM) — Specialty outdoor retailer REI Co-op announced its lineup of 2025 store openings that included some locations in Northern California.

    The new openings are a part of the company’s efforts to support the active lifestyles of its membership and outdoor communities, according to a press release. The Northern California cities include Chico and Elk Grove. There will also be a SoCal opening in Carlsbad.

    “Our store employees are the heart of the co-op, and they welcome everyone to experience our product expertise, resources, and inspiration in support of an active lifestyle,” said Mary-Farrell Tarbox, REI vice president of Stores. “Cities that will have new stores represent communities that serve as a gateway to some of the country’s most incredible natural places and where our members currently live or destinations where they love to play outside.”

    Each new REI store will reportedly offer a wide assortment of apparel and gear for camping, hiking, cycling, running and fitness, climbing, and more. In addition, every store is expected to feature a full-service bike shop staffed by certified mechanics to tune and repair mountain, road, hybrid, or e-bikes.

    REI said the Chico location is expected to open in the spring of 2025. The Elk Grove location is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.
