Moore was arraigned today on felony charges after prosecutors said he entered the home of a woman who worked for him and with whom he had a personal relationship, allegedly making disturbing and threatening statements
The now former University of Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore was charged Friday with three criminal offenses -including a felony home invasion count- just hours after being fired amid allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, authorities said.
NEW: Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore charged with home invasion and stalking following his alleged “attack” at his mistress’s apartment.
The married former coach could face up to six years behind bars.
Moore, 39, faces a third-degree home invasion felony and two misdemeanor counts of stalking in a domestic relationship and breaking and entering, according to court records. Prosecutors allege that Wednesday evening, he unlawfully entered the home of a woman with whom he had an intimate relationship after she ended their relationship earlier in the week. And again, just hours after Moore was fired by the Wolverines for having an inappropriate relationship with the woman, who reportedly worked for him directly.
Pittsfield Township police responded to a call from the woman, who told dispatchers that a man had been stalking her for months and was attacking her in her home, according to the criminal complaint. The woman had ended the relationship, and prosecutors said Moore continued to contact her with unwanted calls and messages. A prosecutor said today in Ann Arbor District Court, that Moore pulled knives from the woman’s kitchen drawer and made threatening statements.
Washtenaw County Prosecutor Kati Rezmierski revealed shocking statements allegedly made by the defendant to the woman while inside her home
“I’m going to kill myself, I’m going to make you watch. My blood is on your hands,” Rezmierski relayed to the judge. Moore was arrested and booked into the Washtenaw County Jail, where he remained until his arraignment today. In court, he appeared virtually wearing a white jumpsuit and was ordered to post a $25,000 surety bond with conditions that include GPS monitoring, avoiding contact with the victim and continued mental health treatment. His attorney insisted he was not a threat to the public and has no criminal record.
After the internal investigation found that Moore was involved with a staffer, a violation of school policy, the remainder of his contract was voided. Moore served as Michigan’s head coach for two seasons, leading the Wolverines to a 9-3 record in 2025. He had been promoted to the position in 2024 following the departure of Jim Harbaugh. Associate head coach Biff Poggi has been named interim coach for the team’s upcoming bowl game. Moore’s next hearing is in January of 2026.

An accused “out of control” stalker was arrested after a Florida woman discovered AirPods taped to the underside of her car, according to police.
Luis Eduardo Rendon, 28, was taken into custody Tuesday, Oct. 21, on charges of aggravated stalking and invading privacy by using a tracking device, according to an arrest report by Winter Springs police.
The victim told investigators Rendon is the brother of a friend and had “been harassing her for some time,” but that his behavior was escalating and she was “in fear for her life,” according to the report.
The harassment began with text messages and calls, and she told him to stop and eventually blocked his number, according to police. Still, he continued calling her, police said, appearing as private or out-of-state phone numbers. Once, the woman received 88 calls in a matter of minutes, according to the report.
When she stopped responding, he turned to Zelle to contact her, sending payment requests and writing messages in the memo box, police said.
Next, investigators say Rendon got a job at the woman’s workplace, so she changed her hours to be the opposite of his to avoid him.
He once showed up to her apartment at night and attempted to get her to come outside, but she wouldn’t, police said. Rendon threatened her, saying he would make her come out, “and on the same night, the fire alarm handle was pulled in her building,” causing residents to evacuate, according to the report.
“Lastly, Mr. Rendon would send her messages from unknown numbers, claiming to know her whereabouts at all times and who she was with,” the report read.
The woman felt she was being tracked and took her vehicle to a friend to be inspected, police said. The friend found a plastic bag taped to the undercarriage of the car, hidden away and holding a set of AirPods inside their case, according to the report.
Police say Rendon was using a device tracking feature to keep tabs on the woman’s location.
The woman contacted police and said Rendon’s “behavior is getting out of control, and she’s in fear that (he) will harm her or her children because she refuses to communicate with him.”
Police confronted Rendon at his home in the neighboring community of Longwood. He initially denied the woman’s accusations, but police say he eventually confessed to making the calls and Zelle payment requests and to taping the AirPods to her car “because he liked her” and “ wanted to know where she was going.”
Rendon was booked into the Seminole County Jail, and records show he’s been denied bond.

After following a woman at the park for over a week, a stray cat finally managed to get her to adopt him—now he has a warm home and a mom who loves him.
In a viralRedditpost shared on Saturday under the username u/Evanessa_r the poster says that the tabby tuxedo stalked her on her evening walks for over a week trying to befriend her. “I often go for walks in the park in the evenings, and this stray cat started coming to me every day at exactly 8 p.m.” she wrote in the caption.
“Our friendship lasted for over a week until one evening the weather was bad and raining, but I decided to go check on my friend anyway, and this sweet little bundle of joy was sitting all wet under the bench, waiting for me.
“From that day on, she became family. As Dominic Toretto said, ‘I don’t have friends, I got family,’” she added.

“The journey of a stray cat who came to me in the park and walked with me for over a week to a domestic cat surrounded by love,” the poster said.
We all know that it is cats who choose their owners, and not the other way around. But what makes felines pick one person over another?
Experts say that cats choose their favorite human based on who invests the most effort in understanding and communicating with them.
According to Union Lake Veterinary Hospital, felines prefer those who pay attention to their cues, motives, and needs.
Their choice is also influenced by personality and breed. Calm cats often favor quiet people, while energetic ones usually seek playful companions.
Building a stronger bond with your feline involves time, attention, and communication. Spending time together, matching their interests, talking to them, and offering regular affection through petting or play helps strengthen the relationship.
The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 9,000 upvotes and 143 comments on the platform.
One user, Minsc_NBoo, commented: “I think I’ve got something in my eye. She was so desperate to find her person, and now she has a forever home. The last picture really shows pure love in her eyes.”
Cabitaa posted: “The fact that she was waiting for you in the rain. You guys are so lucky you found each other!”
Xtunamilk added: “Poor little thing looks like a lost or abandoned pet and must’ve been so cold and lonely out there. I’m glad you found each other and you took the little one in!”

MORGAN HILL — Two Colombian nationals were arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of stalking a woman in Morgan Hill, police said.
On Tuesday, the victim called police to report a man had knocked on the door to her home around 8:10 a.m. and then tried to force open a side gate, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department. He was not successful and walked away from the area.
Surveillance cameras at the victim’s residence were knocked out during the incident, leading the victim to believe the suspect had used a Wi-Fi jammer, police said.
Just before 8 a.m. Wednesday, the same victim called police to report she was being followed by a white Chevrolet sedan that had been parked outside her home, according to police. Officers stopped the car and detained both occupants without incident.
The passenger was identified as the same man from Tuesday’s incident, police said. Both he and the driver were arrested and booked into Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of criminal conspiracy, stalking, prowling, vandalism and providing a false name.
The investigation “remains active and ongoing,” police said.

The order was filed in Utah’s Fourth Judicial District Court in Provo on September 16, and remains in effect until further order of the court.
Why It Matters
The protective order against Robinson is significant not only as a safeguard for Erika Kirk but also because it highlights broader issues surrounding political violence, public safety, and the justice system’s handling of high-profile cases.
With prosecutors pursuing the death penalty and Turning Point USA‘s future now closely tied to how Erika Kirk carries forward her late husband’s mission, the case underscores the intersection of criminal justice, politics, and the risks facing public figures in today’s polarized climate.
Pretrial protective order barring Tyler James Robinson, the man accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk, from contacting Kirk’s widow, Erika, Provo, Utah Sept. 16, 2025. (District Court Of Utah) Pretrial protective order barring Tyler James Robinson, the man accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk, from contacting Kirk’s widow, Erika, Provo, Utah Sept. 16, 2025. (District Court Of Utah) District Court Of Utah
What To Know
Protective Order Details
The order identifies Erika Kirk as the protected party and prohibits Tyler Robinson from engaging in harassment, threats, stalking, or “any other conduct that would place the protected person or designated family or household members in reasonable fear of bodily injury.”
The court found that Robinson “represents a credible threat to the physical safety of the protected person,” according to the filing signed by Judge Tony F. Graf.
The terms further bar Robinson from contacting Erika Kirk directly or indirectly, including through phone, email, text, social media, or mail.
Although incarcerated, he is also prohibited from visiting her residence, workplace, or school, and must remain away from her in any location where they may encounter one another.
Violation of the order could lead to further arrest and new criminal charges, the filing states.
The charges stem from the September 10 shooting at Utah Valley University, where Kirk, 30, was speaking at a Turning Point USA rally. Prosecutors allege Robinson used a high-powered bolt-action rifle in the attack.
The hearing on September 16 marked Robinson’s first court appearance since the incident.
Judge Graf told the court he would issue the protective order in favor of Erika Kirk, following the prosecution’s request for her safety.
Robinson has not yet entered a plea and does not currently have legal representation. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Graf said a public defender is expected to be appointed before Robinson’s next hearing on September 29.
Responses and Public Statements
Following her husband’s death, Erika Kirk issued a statement pledging to continue his work through Turning Point USA’s American Comeback Tour.
“The evil doers responsible for my husband’s assassination have no idea what they have done,” she said. “If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea … you have no idea what you have just unleashed. You have no idea the fire you ignited within this wife.”
Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, had been a high-profile figure in conservative politics. His killing drew national attention, with allies and critics alike weighing in on the implications for political discourse and public safety.
Legal Implications
Under Utah law, violation of a protective order in a felony case can be prosecuted as a third-degree felony, while violations linked to misdemeanor charges may result in a class A misdemeanor.
The order also carries federal implications, making it unlawful for Robinson to possess or purchase firearms or ammunition while it is in effect.
The filing emphasizes that “the parties cannot change or dismiss this order. Only the court has the authority to change or dismiss this order.”
What People Are Saying
Judge Tony F. Graf in the order: “[Tyler Robinson] represents a credible threat to the physical safety of the protected person.”
Erika Kirk said: “The evil doers responsible for my husband’s assassination have no idea what they have done.”
What Happens Next
Robinson is scheduled to return to court on September 29, when a public defender is expected to be appointed, and the case will move toward an arraignment.
The pretrial protective order barring him from contacting Erika Kirk remains in effect, and prosecutors have signaled their intent to seek the death penalty on the aggravated murder charge.
No trial date has been set, and because capital cases often involve lengthy pretrial proceedings, the legal process could extend for months or longer, ensuring the case continues to draw national attention given its political and public safety implications.
An Austin, Texas woman says a walk on the Lady Bird Lake Trail turned frightening after she and a friend were followed for miles by a man.
In a TikTok video with more than 254,000 views, Michaela Diehl (@michdiehll) described how what was meant to be a 10-mile walk quickly became dangerous.
Diehl said she and her friend paused near Noble Joe Coffee about two miles in to decide which path to take when a man appeared behind them and began giving directions. Though unsettled by his sudden presence, they told him they planned to complete the full loop, a detail Diehl later called a mistake.
The man then walked ahead but continued trailing them. For at least three miles, Diehl said, he mirrored their pace: stopping when they stopped, speeding up when they did, and at times getting so close that they had to move away or try to escape him.
The women tried running briefly to create distance, but he reappeared. Then they tried to run to create distance again. He appeared. Diehl said they avoided confronting him out of fear that the situation could escalate. However, no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t de-escalate the situation. A majority of the walk, then, was in “silence” out of fear.
The Austin women try to escape the man
When they reached the trailhead, the man lingered nearby, attempting to do pullups with some equipment as he watched them to the side. Diehl said she mentioned meeting her father for lunch in an effort to deter him, and the women were eventually able to return to their car safely.
“You cannot trust anybody’s intentions,” Diehl said in the video. “Just be safe and be aware of the trails. Do not tell anyone anything.”
Earlier, Diehl posted a separate clip taken during the walk that shows the man visible in several frames. Though she joked that Austin City Limits had trained them to endure the chase, she emphasized that the experience felt incredibly dangerous.
People were outraged on her behalf
Social media users were in an uproar after seeing Diehl’s post, with many commenting about their own experiences on the Lady Bird Lake Trail. Others offered her advice on how she should have handled the situation.
“Be vocal,” one person wrote. “Say, ‘Why are you following us? You are making us uncomfortable. Please get away from us.’ I am from Austin and have been here for 18 years. You have to be loud and obnoxious so people can hear you. Do not let those men scare you like that. Scare them.”
Another commenter suggested self-defense. “A visible pocketknife or something even heavier and deadlier is an exceptional deterrent. Plenty of bodies have been found in Lady Bird Lake, and Texas allows you to carry things that would deter and protect you,” the person wrote.
Others simply empathized with Diehl, emphasizing the fear of the situation.
“‘Why didn’t you just…’ bro, [are] you all serious? This is such a scary situation to be in. If you have advice to give, there is a right and wrong way to give it. Stop trying to put the blame on victims, my gosh,” one person said.
Dr. Ramneek Dosanjh got married young. But before long, she says her marriage dissolved into a cycle of control and domestic violence.
“Within a week of meeting and dating, tells you they love you and they will marry you, you know, it all seems dreamy,” Dosanjh told CBS News.
It got worse, she says, when she tried to leave.
“You just don’t know if you can sustain living that way,” said Dosanjh, who then chose to get an order of protection against her then-husband.
The toll on her health started to show.
“I had abnormal stress tests,” Dosanjh said. “I had to have a cardiac catheterization.”
And she’s not alone according to a study released last month by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
“We saw this association, which frankly also blew me away,” said Dr. Karestan Koenen, who led a team of Harvard researchers who analyzed data for about 66,270 American nurses, ages 36 to 56, who were surveyed about their own health for 20 years between 2001 and 2021.
Of those in the survey, 11.7% reported experience with stalking, and 5.6% reported experience with obtaining a restraining order.
“We have all the information on their diet and exercise,” Koenen said. “And we find that it’s really the stalking that increases the risk, not all these other factors, because we can adjust for them.”
“Experiences of stalking and obtaining a restraining order are both associated with an increased risk of developing CVD (cardiovascular disease) in women,” the study concluded. “Common experiences of violence among women may affect cardiovascular health and warrant consideration alongside more traditional risk factors.”
Many of the women that CBS News talked to were afraid to disclose their identities. One of them says she and her children were abused by their father.
“I had three recurring episodes of deep vein thrombosis, which means another three blood clots in a short amount of time,” the woman told CBS News.
According to a 2016-2017 survey from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly one in three women have experienced stalking at some point in their lives.
Researchers say the results of the study could spur doctors to add questions about stalking and restraining orders when screening for heart health risk factors in the future.
Said Koenen, “The ultimate goal is to improve women’s health.”

Bryan Koherberger wasn’t only stalking the four University of Idaho students before he brutally murdered them almost three years ago! It turns out he also watched two other female college students while attending Washington State University!
According to copies of their interview obtained by People on Tuesday, the two women told the Idaho State Police the former criminology student visited them “daily” at their work. That’s how it started, and the situation became increasingly concerning when he began to show up at their homes unexpectedly.
The first woman, who worked at the Washington State University bookstore, said Kohberger “seemed very used to being put off by women.” The 30-year-old teacher’s assistant had many complaints about his “rude and belittling behavior toward women,” as well as for making them feel “uncomfortable,” and “discriminatory comments which were homophobic, ableist, xenophobic and misogynistic in nature.” So yeah, he was used to it.
A few months before the Idaho murders, in August or September of 2022, she claimed to police that “she was home alone one night, changing in her room, and someone knocked on her window.” She called her husband, and the person ran away. That wasn’t the end of the nightmare, though. It happened again. The report said:
“Another time, after she had started working she heard someone moving around on her porch at approximately 7:00 in the evening. Her husband came home again and saw a white car leaving the area.”
The report doesn’t specify the kind of car it was, but we know that Kohberger drove a white Hyundai Elantra. Could it have been his vehicle leaving her home? The woman seemingly thinks so.
She also shared that it seemed the convicted killer researched her because he knew personal information about her that she had never told him before — like her name. According to the woman, he once came into her work and asked for her by name. However, she told police she was “certain she never told Kohberger her name, and she doesn’t wear a name tag.” Kohberger even knew “what hours she worked and made remarks about her hours,” per the report.
Creepy!
And she wasn’t the only victim of his stalking! Another female student worked with Kohberger in the criminology department, but was an undergraduate. He tried to pursue her, but she told cops she rejected his advances, telling him she was a lesbian. However, that didn’t stop him. Kohberger continued to seek her out at work “almost daily.” The report noted that she said:
“She was not the first person to have problems with Kohberger.”
One night, she recalled, she was working late and spotted him “walking outside as she was locking up.” And what happened next will send chills up your spine. The woman alleged:
“Kohberger made eye contact with her when she looked out, which seemed strange because you would have to be looking directly at the window where she worked to make eye contact.”
When she was about to lock up, she ran and hid in the bathroom because she saw Kohberger enter the building and wanted to avoid him. Smart move! Another day, she received a call from a neighbor who said they “saw someone very close outside her window and to make sure to lock the door.” The woman found out soon after that “she lived fairly close to Kohberger.”
How chilling!
His classmate also told police she felt someone outside her window and discovered “snow footprints leading to the back window of her apartment.” She noticed “whoever had left the footprints had backtracked within the tracks.” The woman added that another student had heard someone trying to open the door of their home a few weeks before that incident.
A professor warned Kohberger would be “harassing, stalking, and sexually abusing” students if he ever became a professor in the future. But it looks like he was already doing it to several women — not just Kaylee Goncalves before he killed Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin, and her.

Federal officials are searching for more potential victims of a Texas man who recently pled guilty to cyberstalking women for almost three years in Colorado, Texas and Arizona.
Hugo Iram Cardona Jr., 21, used a scheme involving two-factor authentication — an electronic authentication method — to hack into the Snapchat accounts of at least 15 young women, then steal their intimate photos and videos, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Texas reports.
The Odessa man reached out to his victims on social media platforms like Instagram and “demanded that they ‘apologize,’ or he would publicly release the content,” according to the federal government office. He also pressured most of the young women into video chatting with him “while engaging in sexually explicit conduct.”
Cardona has pled guilty to three counts of cyberstalking and is scheduled for sentencing on June 3. Each count could result in up to 10 years in prison.
Investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations and El Paso Police Department are trying to uncover any additional potential victims. The offenses likely took place between Aug. 15, 2020, and June 1, 2023.
Cardona used several phone numbers from the TextNow phone service to contact his victims, along with various Instagram accounts. His handles included: “idkprii85,” “designoiram,” “juniorrriram,” “urfavpapi,” “urdvddyjunie” and “juniorrhernandez.” He’s also linked to the following Snapchat accounts: “juniepri,” “asap_juniorrr” and “juniorrriram.”
Anyone who was in contact with Cardona using those accounts or phone numbers during the three-year period are asked to fill out a victim questionnaire. Officials say that victim identities will remain private and case-related information is kept confidential.
Ever had that split-second thought about peeking into someone’s phone, maybe even your partner’s phone? Come on, we’ve all been there with our partners! It’s like standing at a closed door, wondering if you should knock or walk away. Let’s face it, the phone-snooping dilemma is real. We have all been tempted as we wonder what to look for when snooping through a phone.
You may suspect your partner of inappropriate actions, or you might think they’re cheating. Is it okay to snoop then? Or is it always a no-no, like trying to read someone’s mind without permission? In our digital world, phones aren’t just gadgets; they’re treasure troves of chat apps, memories, and … well, mysteries. But hey, where’s the line between curiosity and, uh-oh, snooping? Is it a harmless itch to know more or a straight-up breach of trust? What about the importance of privacy in a relationship?
So, put on your ethical thinking cap, so we can talk you through this juicy debate about when it’s cool and when it’s not to take a peek inside that digital Pandora’s box — the phone!
Snooping On Your Partner’s Phone — When It Is Okay And When Not
Stuck in the dilemma of “Should I?” and “Shouldn’t I?” vis-a-vis checking your partner’s phone? We get it, you’re torn between your curiosity and the importance of privacy in a relationship. Understanding when it’s right and when it’s a breach of critical boundaries is crucial. Hang tight, because we’re here to help with precisely what you need to navigate this tricky terrain.
When it’s okay to snoop through your partner’s phone
1. You have safety concerns
When looking for things to check on girlfriend’s phone or going through boyfriend’s phone, picture yourself as a protector. When worries about your partner’s safety arise and you spot suspicious messages or odd calls, that’s your superhero radar beeping. Checking their phone in this situation is like being a watchful guardian, ensuring they’re safe from potential digital dangers. It’s about caring, not prying on conversations, and making sure they’re shielded from any lurking online trouble.
2. There’s mutual transparency
Imagine a ‘phone pact’ that both partners happily signed off on with no fear or sweat. The point is, there needs to be shared understanding. Then, going through his phone or checking her messages is not spying. This mutual agreement to peek into each other’s phones is like having a transparent, open-book policy. Think of it as a virtual handshake, an assurance that both parties are on the same page, building trust without tiptoeing around secrets.
3. You have valid suspicions or proof of inappropriate behavior
Sometimes, when you suspect something bad — for instance, if you suspect your partner is cheating on the phone — it makes you play the role of a virtual detective. When red flags wave wildly and suspicions of dishonesty linger, checking your partner’s phone might clear the fog.
What if you find hidden stuff on boyfriend’s phone? Or maybe you just want to check on her phone to see if she’s cheating? This investigation isn’t about seeking drama in the first place; it’s about addressing concerns before they snowball into something more significant. It’s a proactive approach to prevent misunderstandings, protect your dignity, or tackle issues head-on.

When it’s not okay to snoop through your partner’s phone
1. There’s absence of consent
Imagine someone else barging into your private space uninvited — it’s a trust nosedive. Snooping without the phone owner knowing it is a harmful act of crossing boundaries without permission. Trust in a relationship is a fragile bridge. And snooping damages it. Respecting privacy in a relationship is pivotal; it’s the cornerstone of a healthy relationship.
2. Your suspicion is baseless
Ever chased a wild goose with no idea where it’s headed? Going through his phone or looking at her phone activity due to unfounded doubts is a bit like that — risky and leads nowhere. Instead of jumping to conclusions and wondering about the dating apps to look for on boyfriend’s phone or checking your girlfriend’s devices because you suspect she is cheating on the phone, it’s better to talk things out. Communication rescues relationships; snooping can sink them.
Now that we’ve sorted through the maze of when it’s cool and when it’s a red alert to peek into someone’s phone, it’s time for the next juicy bit — What to look for when snooping through a phone? Assuming you have your valid reason, of course.
10 Things To Quickly Look For When Snooping Through A Phone
Ever felt like a lost explorer in the maze of someone’s phone, unsure where to step next after the call logs? If you’re thinking “I want to look through my boyfriend’s phone but I’ve no clue where to start,” we can help. Not knowing what to check on his phone can be like rummaging through a cluttered attic without a flashlight. It is important to have the know-how before you start any endeavor, especially if it is a stealth mission.
The consequences? No one wants to be the bad guy in the relationship. But imagine misinterpreting an innocent chat or a few ordinary apps as something sinister, or missing crucial clues due to sheer digital confusion! One wrong step and the world will not fail to tell you that checking your partner’s phone is never a good idea. Fear not, we have compiled a list of 10 things that will help you avoid those awkward misunderstandings while snooping.
1. Look for unusual apps or hidden folders
When going through his phone (or her phone), keep an eye out for apps with unconventional names, inconspicuous icons, or folders cunningly tucked away. These hidden corners might shelter pictures, messages, or entire apps meant to remain unseen.
Stumbling upon such covert spaces is akin to discovering a secret compartment in an old house — a spot often reserved for intriguing finds or conversations meant to be private. While some apps intend innocent privacy, others might conceal activities indicating secrecy or deception.
2. Check recent call and message deletions
If you suspect your partner is cheating on the phone, pay attention. Observing recently deleted messages or calls could hint at attempts to conceal communication or cover tracks. The absence of these communications might signify efforts at hiding something significant. While the routine clearing of recent messages is normal, frequent and consistent deletions from phones might spark curiosity regarding the nature of the conversations or information being erased.
3. Things to check on girlfriend’s phone: Frequent or unusual contacts
On what to look for when snooping through a phone Reddit, a user wrote, “She thought that changing the name of her fuck buddy in her phone would throw me off … we know all the same people. And if you’re going to try to pull something like that don’t use a famous musician who I know you’re really into.” Although having to check on her phone to see if she’s showing cheating guilt signs is an extreme case, there are a few ways you can identify a suspicious number on your partner’s phone:
Check for contacts with strange or vague names
Notice frequent interactions like messages or calls with unfamiliar or new numbers
Pay attention to contacts labeled oddly, like ‘Landlord’
Check recent messages or calls from repeat numbers
Any of these could suggest secretive discussions or hidden connections
4. See if your partner has multiple social media accounts
When checking your partner’s social media, look for more than one account under different names or profiles. This could indicate an intentional effort to keep parts of their life secret. Having multiple accounts beyond what you know about could suggest they’re trying to maintain secrecy or delete/hide interactions from you or others. This serves as a vital cue to delve deeper. After all, is there anything more stressful than wondering if you’ll find hidden stuff on boyfriend’s phone?
5. What to look for when snooping through a phone? Hidden photo or video vaults
When going through boyfriend’s phone or checking your girlfriend’s phone activity, be on the lookout for newly installed or recent apps or folders specifically designed to hide photos and videos. These often serve as digital safes for visual content meant to remain unseen. The presence of such applications could indicate an intention to safeguard certain images or videos from prying eyes.
Identifying these hidden spaces is a crucial step in understanding the level of privacy your partner seeks and would give you insights into their digital world. If you do find something like this, we hope it leads to open communication about boundaries and trust within the relationship.
6. Beware of inconsistent location history
Last summer, while scrolling through my partner’s location history on our shared map app, I noticed an odd entry — a location recorded miles away from where she was supposed to be. It felt like finding a puzzle piece that didn’t fit while looking through her phone, sparking concerns about her whereabouts. Turns out she’d been lying to me. Although we had a conversation and sorted things out, that moment made me realize how important it is to pay attention to these details.
Here are a few things you can keep in mind about what to check on his phone (or her phone) when going through your partner’s location history:
Look for inconsistencies between expected and recorded locations
Keep an eye on patterns of movement and frequent changes
Address any discrepancies through open and honest communication
Understand that context matters; some inconsistencies might have valid explanations, such as a spontaneous meet-up with a friend or hotel bills from work trips
7. What to check on his phone? Frequent password changes
When observing your partner’s phone habits, take note of frequent password changes or heightened security measures. These alterations could appear as an extra layer of security, akin to adding more locks to a door. Frequent password changes might indicate an amplified need for confidentiality or a desire to keep certain areas inaccessible.
8. Unexplained purchases or transactions should ring alarm bells
When reviewing your partner’s payment apps or statements, keep an eye out for unexplained or unfamiliar purchases. Discovering a mysterious charge on a credit card bill always raises questions about its origin. There are many hidden payment apps to look for on boyfriend’s phone. There could be a lot hidden behind the masquerade of financial independence that could result in financial conflicts and worse.
Finding an unexpected subscription or an unknown payment could signal undisclosed activities or transactions. These could be anything, a subscription to an adult film star’s personal feed, the purchase of something on the dark web, or something that’s less extreme but nonetheless worrying. Spotting such behavior is crucial in understanding financial discrepancies that might hint at hidden expenses that haven’t been discussed with you, or secretive behavior that you might find wrong or hard to understand.
9. See if there is strange browser history or lots of incognito mode usage
Detecting irregular (or always-deleted) browsing history or frequent use of incognito mode is like finding a diary with torn-out pages — a sign that your partner is not being completely honest with you. This behavior might indicate an intent to conceal specific online activities or content.
Imagine: You open your partner’s browsing history, and you see a gap exactly after 1 a.m. every day. Whether it’s their habit of watching violent porn or stalking a colleague online or consuming political content that goes against your values, they’d only hide or erase information if there is something fishy about it, right? Let’s hope it’s something as simple as them planning a surprise for you.
10. Note any sudden behavioral changes in how your partner uses their phone
Some people actually don’t care about their partners’ online lives. But what drives them to care is this: “I want to look through my boyfriend’s phone PRECISELY because he’s acting weird around it.” Sometimes, your partner’s behavioral changes hint at something amiss and you want to get to the root of the problem.
Let’s take a peek at a few examples that could ring alarm bells in your relationship. Your partner is:
Suddenly guarding their phone more, always ensuring it’s out of your sight
Constantly locking their phone or switching screens with a simple swipe when you’re nearby
Reacting nervously or panicking when receiving messages or notifications or calling certain numbers
Displaying sudden shifts in how they communicate, becoming vague or avoiding certain topics
These changes could signal increasingly suspicious behavior. It warrants a conversation because you deserve to understand what’s going on. Sometimes it could be a simple misunderstanding shedding light on some communication problems, but sometimes it could also unravel some dark secrets.
Key Pointers
We’ve all been tempted to peek into a partner’s phone, right? But hey, there’s a thin line between curiosity and trust issues. You should know when it’s okay to do so (like, safety concerns) and when it’s a big no-no (hint: lack of consent)
So, what should you actually look for if you suspect that your partner is cheating? Unusual apps, weird contact names, or even sneaky photo vaults can reveal secrets or misunderstandings. Think of it like deciphering a digital code
What to look for when snooping through a phone? Suspicious purchases and secretive browsing can set off alarm bells
Bottom line? Snooping can either unveil concerns or create unnecessary drama. It’s about balancing trust, privacy, and having open chats instead of going on a digital spy mission
Snooping through someone’s phone isn’t just a casual stroll through digital messages; it’s venturing into delicate territory. While it’s tempting to seek an answer through a quick phone scan, the repercussions of breached trust can be profound. It’s like playing with a house of cards. Once trust collapses, rebuilding becomes an uphill battle.
Remember, phones hold fragments of someone else’s life, and peeking inside without consent is a double-edged sword. It’s vital to prioritize communication, honesty, and trust within relationships. Snooping through your partner’s phone should only ever be the last, regrettable resort — one that should ideally be avoided. But if it is called for, we hope you now have a better understanding of what to look for when snooping through a phone, and we hope you will use this knowledge wisely.
This week, Kanye West and his four children — North, Saint, Psalm, and Chicago — have been in Dubai for Thanksgiving. But the family vacation hasn’t been as relaxing as they may have hoped. Why? The 46-year-old rapper is reportedly worried that his former personal trainer and friend, Harley Pasternak, has been following him around Dubai!
The 49-year-old was seen in the lobby of the Atlantis The Royal resort, where Kanye has been staying with his kids. A source previously said the timing of the sighting was “extremely suspect” and caused some “concerns” for Ye “about his motives and intentions” due to their history. Remember, they have not been on good terms after Harley was the reason the record producer was hospitalized in 2016. He also later threatened to institutionalize him “again” amid his antisemitism controversy.
But Kanye wasn’t the only one concerned about the situation at the time. On Wednesday, TMZ revealed more details about what went down — and things seemed to get intense both ways! The outlet reported that the two men were at the hotel on Monday evening. When Kanye saw Harley at the establishment, the Yeezy designer became uncomfortable since he thought The Revolution host was stalking him. In fact, he was so nervous he took out his phone and began to record Harley while speaking to the hotel staff.
However, sources with direct knowledge are insisting the pair being at the same hotel was only a coincidence. They claimed Harley owns more than a dozen gyms in the Middle East and is in Dubai for his clients all the time. As for why he was in the resort on Monday? Harley was at the concierge desk to make a dinner reservation. It didn’t go well…
At around 9:00 p.m., the insiders shared, Kanye decided to approach Harley — and, plot twist, attempt to embrace him. What an odd move for someone who thought this guy was following him. Perhaps he was trying to extend an olive branch after their beef, though? Or he hoped a hug would end his alleged stalking? No matter Ye’s motivation for the embrace, Harley wasn’t open to hugging it out! It seems he was the one afraid of Ye!
The sources said he rejected the touching, and when the concierge asked Harley if he wanted hotel security to step in, he immediately said yes. Whoa! By the time that security showed up, though, Kanye and his team had left the area. There was no more contact between them.
Clearly, tensions are still running high between these guys! Hopefully, they don’t run into each other again during their stay in Dubai! But you know, small town? Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
There may be a hundred things we still don’t know about human nature, but here’s one thing that is always predictable. Every person has a very real need to be seen in a more flattering light. Whether it’s sugar coating your CV, inflating your bank balance by a few zeros, increasing your height by a couple of inches or decreasing your weight by several kilos — the need to be portrayed in a more appealing way is a tale as old as time. This has naturally led to the search for the best background check sites for dating, as one can hardly go by face value when it comes to choosing potential dates.
While dating apps often offer their own versions of background check tools (for example, the Bumble background check), doing your own free background check for dating a potential life partner is now considered a smart choice that helps prevent catfishing and protect you in the long run. In the world of online dating services, the innate human desire to appear better than one is has given rise to the phenomenon of catfishing. Catfishing refers to the activity where a person takes on a fictitious persona or fake identity and uses the same to lure others via dating sites. Nearly 20,000 catfishing cases were reported in the US alone in 2020. This, in turn, has led to the pressing need for background checks on online dating apps. So, is there any need to find the best background check site for dating? The answer is a resounding ‘Yes’!
When should you use background checks for online dating services?
When you should use background check sites is ultimately a matter of personal choice and depends on how much your ‘spidey senses’ tingle. Maybe you have burnt your fingers before or prefer not to waste your time finding any potential red flags. So, go ahead and run that background check on your partner before you start dating. After all, which one of us hasn’t Google searched someone or checked out the socials of someone after the first meet? Professional background screeners just take that curiosity one step further.
If you’ve already been on a couple of dates and the relationship is promising, you could use Google’s reverse image search to know more about your date. Some websites offer detailed background check reports to help you learn about a person’s prior relationships, family background, and financial history.
But before we dive deep into a list of the best background check sites for dating, let’s look at some simple ways you can run a free background check for dating your partner:
1. Try searching on Google
There’s not much Google doesn’t know. The search engine offers an easy way to discover more than basic information about your date. This includes their employment history, previous relationships, photos, and social media presence, which can give you a pretty good idea of who you are dealing with. If you don’t find much up-to-date information online or their name appears in different contexts, it may be a red flag requiring further investigation.
Unsurprisingly, social media can tell you a lot more about a person than a regular legal document. If they have a public profile, you can double check their political views, who their friends and family are, discover past relationships and employment history, and glean enough basic information about them. Their lifestyle and personal details help you decide whether they will get a second date or not. While Instagram and Facebook can be set to private, other social media channels, such as Twitter, TikTok, and Pinterest, are usually open to the public.
Social media is one of your best resorts to dig for information about the guy you have a date with
3. Flex your detective skills
Bring back the fedora hat and that magnifying glass because now is the time for online research before you meet this date person. A closer look at certain free background check sites can result in some confidential information. So, make sure you know what you are signing up for. While some websites for detailed background check reports have high fees, others offer their services free of charge. It all depends on how detailed a background check on your partner you require. Some simple online clarifications that can be done without professional help include:
Requesting consumer reporting agencies for information such as birth or marriage certificates
Phone numbers and addresses
Property information
Educational documents
Criminal records
All of this is public information, so accessing these details doesn’t make you too much of a stalker.
4. Check the Sex Offender Website
The National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) is a nationwide public safety resource available in the United States. This was launched to provide accurate, up-to-date information and protect local communities from potential threats. The site is updated regularly and can be accessed by anyone from anywhere.
How To Choose The Best Background Check Services For Dating
While numerous dating background check sites are available, some can be expensive. To ensure you are getting enough bang for your buck, here’s what you need to look out for when choosing a background check company for dating:
Do the sites that do background checks have a good reputation?
Are the sites known for providing accurate and up-to-date information?
Do they use ethical means to procure this information?
What methodology does the site use? Many companies are transparent about what type of investigations they perform. Most search parameters can generate simple address searches, offer reverse phone lookups, and provide information on job history and marital status
Is everything legit and legal?
What type of background check services and personal information are provided by them?
Does the company provide online support? While there is no need for 24X7 support, some amount of customer service and promptness is always appreciated
What is the cost? Several companies offer monthly subscription packages that work out more economically. Such pricing usually involves unlimited searches and includes more documents. You must brace yourself for the bill to follow if it is a one-time search
We don’t want you to be another victim of cyberbullying, so, we suggest you invest a little time and money in a similar app that serves your purpose. Depending on whether you are looking for sites that do background checks exclusively for personal information or require more intense investigations, such as prior criminal records or drug history, the company you choose needs to be equipped to provide relevant documents.

Background checks are useful for determining whether the person you are planning to meet or date is genuine. With the help of such sites, you can verify if the person has a past criminal record, is in trouble with the law, has been lying about their past job or education history, or is dangerous.
Your public profile may be putting you in a vulnerable position: In today’s world of easy accessibility and online information, cyberstalking cases are on the rise. If you feel your public profile may be attracting the wrong sort of attention and prefer to err on the side of caution and vet your potential partners, accurate background check sites are a must.
Protect yourself from false identities: There is an alarming trend of people using fake identities and profiles to attract or meet new partners. By doing a thorough check on your date and using tools such as reverse image search and address lookups, you are keeping yourself safe from potential romance scammers and con artists.
To ensure that you are dealing with a real person: Online fraudsters have succeeded in conning people for thousands of dollars. They can also pose a real physical threat to your safety. So, checking for fake dating profiles and verifying accurate data about a person before meeting them is imperative.
As long as the results of your background checks are kept private and you are maintaining the law according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you can subscribe to any of these people search sites. Use the information you receive to make an informed decision on whether to move on with your relationship or not. It’s always better to be safe than sorry about the big, bad world of internet dating these days.

A California man who sent hundreds of harrowing messages to an activist against gun violence whose daughter was killed in the 2018 Parkland, Florida, school shooting has been sentenced to 1 year in federal prison, according to prosecutors and court documents.
James Catalano, 62, of Fresno, California, pled guilty to cyberstalking on March 28, according to the court documents. CNN has reached out to his attorney.
In December 2021, a parent of one of the students killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School “began receiving a slew of harassing messages” with references to “his daughter, the manner of her death, her pain and suffering as she was murdered and his advocacy against gun violence.” The parent is identified only with the initials “F.G.” in court documents.
According to a complaint, on June 21, 2022, “F.G.” tweeted, “Three weeks after the Parkland shooting, & on the day that gun safety legislation was passed in Florida, I stood with @marcorubio & asked him to support what was about to happen in Florida. He refused. He was a waste then and he is a waste now. Florida will elect @valdemings.”
CNN has found that the tweet and others mentioned in the complaint were sent by Fred Guttenberg – who has dedicated his life to “fighting for gun safety in America” after his 14-year-old daughter, Jaime, was among the 17 people killed at Parkland, his Twitter profile reads.
Catalano replied to Guttenberg’s tweets and continued to send harassing messages through July 2022 via multiple online platforms. Catalano sent “hundreds of disparaging messages, which graphically described the victim’s daughter’s death, and focused on the debate surrounding gun control and the victim’s activism against gun violence,” according to a news release Monday from the US Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Florida.
Federal authorities were informed of the messages and traced two IP addresses to Catalano’s workplace and home in Fresno, according to court documents.
On July 20, 2022, Catalano met with law enforcement after waiving his Miranda rights, according to a complaint. He admitted to sending the messages.
Guttenberg tweeted following the sentencing Friday, saying it “sends a message to those who cyberstalk the families of shooting victims that they will be caught and punished.”
An Indiana man has been arrested and charged with stalking and harassing Taylor Swift for several months.
Mitchell Taebel, 36, was booked into the LaPorte County Jail on June 2 on charges of stalking, intimidation, invasion of privacy and harassment, according to LaPorte County Jail records.
Taebel has been accused of sending threatening messages from March to May of this year to Swift, her team and management.
The affidavit from LaPorte Superior Court does not name Swift, but has multiple references to the singer throughout the document. This includes mentioning Swift’s management team, 13 Management; the Eras Tour, which is her current tour; Joe Alwyn, one of her recent boyfriends; and a song off Swift’s latest album.
According to the affidavit, Taebel sent a voice message to Swift through Instagram on March 29 saying “he would happily wear a bomb if he cannot be with his soul mate.”
He later sent messages to those closely related to Swift, including her father and dancers, the affidavit says.
The affidavit says that on May 5, Taebel traveled from Long Beach, Indiana, to Swift’s home in Nashville and was escorted away from the property by security. He then went to Nissan Stadium, where Swift was performing that night.
Before the show, Taebel was placed on a security threat/concern list so he wouldn’t be able to purchase any ticket for the show, the affidavit says. However, he was able to purchase a ticket through a third-party company and entered the stadium. He was recognized by security and was escorted off the site by security and venue personnel, according to the affidavit.
A temporary restraining order, requested by 13 Management’s legal counsel, was granted on May 11 and served to Taebell on May 13.
But the affidavit said Taebel violated the restraining order and continued to send messages to Swift through the month until at least May 18.
A $15,000 bond was set on June 1 for the stalking charge. Online court records indicate his next court appearance will be July 27 at 8:30 a.m.
CNN has reached out to 13 Management, Swift’s team and Taebel for comment.
According to a report in the Washington Post, the hooded mystery man is Brandon Collado—an Uber Eats driver in the Los Angeles area.
Collado allegedly confronted Musk’s security detail at a gas station in South Pasadena, blocking Musk’s car and then jumping on the hood. Musk was not in the vehicle, but his son X was, causing the billionaire to post alarming videos of the incident on Twitter.
The Post said Collado was driving a Hyundai Elantra he rented from the car-sharing app Turo. He provided the paper with a video he took of Musk’s security guard that matched the one Musk posted to Twitter—just from the reverse perspective.
Bizzare claims
As if this story wasn’t disturbing enough, Collado made truly bizarre claims to The Post abouthis actions that night.
He said that “Musk was monitoring his real-time location; and that Musk could control Uber Eats to block him from receiving delivery orders.”
He also claimed that Grimes, Musk’s ex-girlfriend, and mother of two of his children, was sending him coded messages through her Instagram posts. Grimes lives in Pasadena, near where the incident occurred.
At press time, the LAPD had not arrested Collado, but said in a statement that its Threat Management Unit had been in contact with Musk’s representatives and security team.
Police outlined a situation in October when a man appeared to be following Kaylee Goncalves, one of the victims, outside a local business, according to a news release from the department. Police said this was an isolated incident, and the man and an associate were trying to meet women at the business, which police said was corroborated through additional investigation. It was not an ongoing pattern of stalking. There is currently no evidence tying the two men to the killings, the release said.
Last month, investigators looked “extensively” into hundreds of pieces of information about Goncalves having a stalker, but “have not been able to verify or identify a stalker,” police said.
Police are still asking for tips from the public on information regarding a possible stalker.
“Investigators continue looking into information about Kaylee having a stalker. Information about a potential stalker or unusual occurrences should go through the Tip Line,” according to the release.
Goncalves, 21, along with roommates Madison Mogen, 21, and Xana Kernodle, 20; as well as Kernodle’s boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, 20, who did not live in the house, were found dead November 13. Police initially said the slayings took place after 1:45 a.m., but no one called 911 until noon that same day. In the updated release Monday, police said the surviving roommates called friends to the home because they believed one of the victims had passed out and was not waking up. This prompted someone, using one of the surviving roommates’ cell phones, to call 911 for an unconscious person. Police arrived and found all four victims whose cause and manner of death was ruled four days later to be homicide by stabbing, the release said.
A coroner determined the four victims were each stabbed multiple times and were likely asleep when the attacks began, police have said. Local, state and federal investigators have all been working to find a suspect. They are starting to receive forensic testing results from the crime scene, Moscow police spokesperson Rachael Doniger told CNN last week.
On Saturday, Moscow police said they’ve received more than 2,000 email tips, phone tips and more than 1,000 submissions to an FBI link. The killings have unnerved the town of Moscow, with its 26,000 residents, because it had not recorded a murder since 2015.
At this point in the investigation, police have not identified a suspect or found the murder weapon, believed to be a knife. Police have also not released the names of the surviving roommates who were said to have been in the home at the time of the killings. CNN did not report their names until they were publicly identified during a memorial service Sunday when a pastor read letters written by the two roommates – identified as Dylan Mortensen and Bethany Funke.
In the letters that were read aloud Sunday, Mortensen and Funke wrote how much they would miss the victims and what they meant to them as both roommates and friends.
“My life was greatly impacted to have known these four beautiful people,” the pastor read in Mortensen’s letter. “My people who changed my life in so many ways and made me so happy. I know it will be hard to not have the four of them in our lives, but I know Xana, Ethan, Maddie and Kaylee would want us to live life and be happy and they would want us to celebrate their lives.”
