  • Grab your crock pot and make this simple candy!

    [ad_1]

This Crock Pot Candy is super versatile and very easy to make! It’s perfect for any occasion!

    Crock Pot Candy

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love simple recipes and this is just that.. and super versatile. We love our crock pot and this is a great way to make candy. With only a few ingredients, you can have great candy in a few hours and you didnt really have to dirty a dish. So that is a win win!

    SWAPS

You can switch up the nuts to what you like, many people love cashews. You can also add in the chocolate you like; we like semi-sweet, but some love dark chocolate. We like this recipe with peanut butter but I do think you could easily make this with almond butter or other nut butters.

    Crock Pot CandyCrock Pot Candy

    ⭐TIP

We use semi-sweet chocolate and add a little white chocolate because it really does give it the best flavor. You don’t have to do that, but we love it that way. We also did peanuts and pecans because we like them together, but you don’t have to!

    [ad_1]

If you love pumpkin, then you must make this bread! It’s simple to make and one of our favorites.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

Well.. we love this recipe because we love pumpkin and we love pecans and this recipe just works. It’s moist and loaded in flavor and so easy to make! No mixer needed and comes together quickly. The streusel topping really takes this bread to the next leve and it stays put on the bread, which is a plus!

    SWAPS & ADDITIONS

This recipe calls for buttermilk and we suggest you use it to make this recipe. Buttermilk adds a level of fat to this recipe, making it even more moist. You could use walnuts in this recipe as well. Someone commented they drizzled caramel sauce over the top and it was a hit. Another person commented they doubled the pumpkin pie spice. If you love the extra spice then by all means double it!

    Pumpkin Pecan BreadPumpkin Pecan Bread

    ⭐TIP

Recently remade this bread and used parchment paper in the pan. It was an easy way to remove the bread from the pan in one piece. It worked perfectly. This brea also rises quite a bit but it didn’t run over at all. This is also made with 100% pumpkin puree, not pumpkin mix. Make sure you get the correct kind. One of the key parts of this recipe is putting the streusel topping in the refrigerator the way it says in the directions.

    Cuisine American, southern

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 stick butter or 8 tablespoons or 1/2 cup melted
    • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
    • 1 cup 100% pumpkin I use Libbys canned pure pumpkin
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon of Pumpkin Spice
    • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
    • 2/3 cup buttermilk

    Streusel Topping Ingredients:

    • 1/2 cup brown sugar separated 1/4 cup and 1/4 cup
    • 3 tablespoons butter melted
    • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour
    • 1/2 cup roughly chopped pecans
    • Prepare your streusel topping: add the 1/4 the cup brown sugar and the melted butter to a bowl, and using a fork, mix to blend; add in the flour, and gently toss/fluff the mixture with the fork until the flour is incorporated, and the mixture looks like a bit like “wet sand” crumbles; set the streusel into the fridge to chill. Set aside the other 1/4th cup of brown sugar and pecans.

    • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and salt in a large bowl and set aside. Combine melted butter, sugar, pumpkin, eggs and vanilla extract. Stir together with a spoon. Add to flour mixture and mix well with spoon. Stir in buttermilk. Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with cooking spray and add batter to pan.

    • Remove streusel from fridge and add the pecans and remaining brown sugar. Mix together and sprinkle over top of bread. Pat down a little with a fork so it will stick to the batter.

    • Cook for 60 minutes or until center test done.

If you think you’ll have a tough time removing the bread from the pan, you can always spray your bread pan with nonstick spray and then line it with parchment paper. Make sure your piece of parchment paper is around three times the size of your loaf pan so that there’s an overhang on the two long sides.  Then add in your batter. This will help in removing your bread when it’s done.
This bread is made with 100% pure pumpkin puree (I used Libby’s canned pumpkin), not canned pumpkin pie MIX.

    SNICKERDOODLE APPLE COBBLER

This Snickerdoodle Apple Cobbler is EVERYTHING! It’s so simple to put together because it uses a snickerdoodle cookie mix.

    Snickerdoodle Apple CobblerSnickerdoodle Apple Cobbler

If you love easy recipes like this one, you will also love this delicious Southern Apple Pie. It’s one of our favorites, too.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

This cobbler is so easy and the addition of a snickerdoodle cookie mix takes this dessert to the next level. Simple to make and a wonderful treat anytime. You can top it with ice cream or whipped topping. My family loved this one and yours will too!

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and sliced.
    • Brown sugar
    • Cinnamon
    • Nutmeg
    • Snickerdoodle cookie mix (I used Betty Crocker)
    • Butter, cut into pieces
    • Confectioners sugar
    • Whipping cream

    SWAPS

You can use just about any baking apple for this recipe. Gala, Fuji, and Honeycrisp all work well. We only used half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture packet that comes with the cookie mix for this recipe.

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

This dessert is really easy to throw together, the hardest part is cutting up the apples.

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9X13 pan and set it aside. Toss apples in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread on the bottom of the pan.

    Step 2
Sprinkle Snickerdoodle cookie mix over the top of the apples.

    Step 3
Next, take the cinnamon sugar mixture that comes in the cookie mix package and cover the top of the mixture with HALF the packet.

    Step 4
Top the mixture with the butter pieces, spacing them an inch apart over the entire pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.

    Step 5
Mix powdered sugar and whipping cream together and pour over the cobbler. Serve topped with ice cream.

    Snickerdoodle Apple CobblerSnickerdoodle Apple Cobbler

    ⭐TIP

You can use all of the Snickerdoodle cookie topping if you like. Since we tossed the apples in spices, we didn’t feel the need to overdo it, but you are welcome to use it.

    RECIPE VARIATIONS

You can add pecans to this if you want and you can also leave the glaze off, however I do think it adds to the cobbler. If you love cobblers, you may also love or Deep Dish Blackberry cobbler; it’s an old-fashioned classic!

    EASY CINNAMON PIE

This Easy Cinnamon Pie will quickly become a dessert you make over and over. It’s perfect for any holiday gathering.

    Cinnamon PieCinnamon Pie

If you love recipes made with lots of cinnamon, you will definitely want to make this delicious Cinnamon Bread. It has wonderful reviews.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

It’s so simple to prepare, and if you’re a cinnamon lover like we are… then get ready to be IN LOVE with this pie. We adore this dessert any time, but it makes a wonderful holiday pie. Serve it alongside your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner; I promise it will be a hit! You only need a few ingredients which is always a plus

    🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

    • Cream cheese, softened
    • Brown sugar
    • Eggs
    • Half and half cream
    • All-purpose flour
    • Ground cinnamon
    • Vanilla extract
    • Allspice
    • Unbaked 9-inch pie crust
    • Powdered sugar (optional)

    SWAPS

You can make this pie with a homemade pie crust. This is our recipe. If you do use the unbaked pie crust, we like the ones made by Pillsbury that you roll out.

    🍽️HOW TO MAKE

This pie is pretty simple, be sure and let your cream cheese soften before you start the process.

    COOKING STEPS

    Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together brown sugar and cream cheese until well mixed (about 3 minutes, should be fluffy). Scrape the bowl and then add eggs and mix again.

    Step 2
Next add in the cream, flour, cinnamon, vanilla, and allspice. Continue to mix until it is smooth. It will be runny. Pour into the pie shell (it may fill the shell but this pie isn’t going to rise, it’s the consistency of a pumpkin pie).

    Step 3
Bake for 38-40 minutes until the center is set. Take it out, let it completely cool and then chill for several hours. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar before serving. We love it topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with more cinnamon.

    ⭐TIP

This pie is better the next day, so you can easily make it in advance. This pie will fill the pie shell, so be careful getting it to the oven.

    SERVE THIS WITH

This dessert is great for the holidays and we love to serve it at Christmas. Something about cinnamon and Christmas goes really well together. It also goes really well with this Old Fashioned Penuche Fudge. You can also add these Cinnamon Pecan Cookies!

    ❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    What is half and half?

It is half whole milk and half cream. It’s sold in the milk section of the grocery store, normally near the whipping cream.

Can I use low-fat cream cheese?

I think that will change the consistency of the pie.

    STORING

I store this in the refrigerator. I just cover it with foil or saran wrap.’

    Five Minute Fudge

This fudge is an excellent recipe for the holidays! Makes a great gift too!
