Officers responded to the report of a shooting around 4:16 p.m. in the 700 block of South San Joaquin Street. Officials said officers found a 73-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown and Stockton police have not released any suspect details.
